Chapter 48: Lance vs. Naruto

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, or Avatar the Last Air Bender, or Hades whom is Disney's version of him. I do own Kasumi along with most of her deck which is based off of Fire Emblem female characters and the four Titan Cards.

At this very moment things weren't looking too bright, however things were going to get better now that Kakashi-Papa, Naruto, and Sokka had somehow arrived. One moment I had just beaten Paul in the Semi-Final Battle of the most certainly canceled out Double Battle Tournament, then the Fire Nation choose this time to invade Shinoh. I knew if they were left unopposed then the fate of Shinoh would be the same as the events where we came from in our dimension, currently the other three Element Nation's biggest problem. Now that Kakashi-Papa, Naruto and Sokka showed up, my hope had certainly skyrocketted, maybe there was a way we could pull off a miracle. Kakashi-Papa out of any of us must've fought in wars so he probably knew of ways we could turn the table. Right now Aang, Haku, Hanabi, Toph and I were taking turns relating things to Kakashi-Papa, Naruto and Sokka although for some strange reason Kakashi-Papa seemed to be the only one listening fully. Naruto and Sokka were looking at Dodou and Snowflake. Along our explanation we learned that Kakashi, Sokka and Naruto were able to fine the warp hole that brought me, Haku, Hanabi and Toph here and entered. Katara and Iruka were able to fight off the attackers there and were staying put until the group arrived back.

"So...Aang..." Sokka told Aang pointing to Dodou "What exactly can a two headed bird do?"

"Yeah it doesn't look like it's able to fly!" Naruto added on.

This struck a nerve in Aangs's Dodou "Dodou!" both of it's heads perk up and start pecking the two causing the two to cringe with each peck shouting "OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!"

Toph smirked seeing the two react to getting pecked "I must admit...I missed you two idiots. You lighten up the mood."

"Any other questions?" Hanabi asked them.

Sokka surprisingly kept his mouth shut but Naruto looked at Snowflake completely missing out I had just revealed to him she was an Ice Type Vulpix he wasn't careful enough, he picks Snowflake up and looks at her "Just what my sister needs another Vulpix...Why does she feel cold though?"

His movements caused the baby Vulpix to become uncomfortable with him and she opens her mouth and shouts "VVVUUULLLPPPIIIXXXX!"

She breathes out her Ice Beam attack at Naruto's face causing Naruto to scream "HOW IS SHE BREATHING ICE? TAKARA'S FIRE!"

Professor Oak took the time to answer once Naruto's face was completely frozen solid in ice and my big brother had dropped Snowflake which I caught and placed down "Snowflake is an Alohan Vulpix...an Ice Type. Normal Vulpix's at least the ones found in the other regions are Fire Types."

Naruto looks at Takara as if pleading with her to use a Flamethrower to melt the ice off his head but Takara giggled turning her head away from him "OH COME ON! Don't be sassy with me!"

Ash decided to help Naruto out turning to Pikachu "Pikachu...Use Iron Tail on the ice."

Naruto heard this and pailed "W-W-W-Wait!"

Before Ash could stop his Pikachu, Pikachu's tail turned steel and he whipped it down on the ice. It was a direct hit and the tail still hit my brother right between his eyes. The ice shattered and for a while Naruto was on his back freed from the ice and feeling his head "That mouse has one strong tail!" he said in a daze while raising up an arm.

"Are you okay?" Sokka asked him.

"I will be" Naruto said "Thanks for asking."

Kakashi-Papa now spoke in an actual strategic tone as he had been thinking on what had happened and was thinking of a way to save Shinoh from the Fire Nation he looks at me "So Orochimaru sent mostly you here so that this Marik the Third would kill you in a Shadow Duel with the Winged Dragon of Ra."

"He tried" I admitted.

Naruto gets up right away "SOME CREEP WANTED TO KILL MY SISTER WHY?"

Hanabi sighed the answer "Weren't you listening to the story we just told?"

"I think he was too busy looking at Dodou and Snowflake to listen" Toph answered her.

"Don't get lose your cool man" Ash told Naruto "Your sister defeated Marik the Third."

"Ah...The one time I wasn't with her and she pulls a world saving event!"

"Naruto" Kakashi-Papa told him "Marik the Third may not be a problem any more but the fact remains that Orochimaru sent you sister here so Marik could dispose her once he discovered her then move onto defeating your adopted father Yusei."

I huffed "He wouldn't have been able to beat my father...He lost to me then again I used my Signer Deck than my new one."

Kakashi-Papa actually agreed with me "True there." he then looked at the group "Regardless Marik's failure to defeat and kill Lady Kasumi here wasn't seen by Orochimaru whom most likely got word of this now and sent Azula to conquer Shinoh."

We all nodded at the Copy Ninja's words. Kakashi-Papa then thought more "However if we are able to defeat Azula and drive her forces off there is a way we can return to our dimension safely."

I nodded "I could Summon Zeus and have him wipe the Fire Nation away...But that should have to be only as a last resort."

Sokka didn't exactly agree "This Marik threatened to use this Winged Dragon of Ra Card on you to kill you, I say we do summon a God of our own and show them what a true God can do!"

Haku looked at Sokka while with Sokka catching this "What?"

"Never say that God Cards aren't true Gods" Haku warned "They are Gods themselves and like the Titan Cards can only be used by a selected individuals."

Kakashi-Papa understood me "Sokka, Lady Kasumi has the right idea, usually when one uses his or her Summoning Jutsu it's for a last minute's resort and it should be used like that in battle. It can be used at any time though."

Naruto agreed "Granny Tsunade, Pervy Sage and Orochimaru didn't bother to use their Summons until Granny Tsunade and Pervy Sage united to defeat Orochimaru. Then they all used Summoning Jutus."

Kakashi turned to Brock "Do you have a map of this region?"

"I do" Brock said bringing it out giving it to Kakashi-Papa "Here. What do you want it for?"

Kakashi-Papa answered "I'm going to try to guess where Azula maybe going towards perhaps if we figure that out we can spring an ambush."

"That's right!" I admitted thinking on it "They know that Aang, Haku, Hanabi, Toph and I know how they act but they don't know you, Naruto or Sokka are here."

"Plus Naruto can clone himself about one hundred times" Sokka admitted "So it's not like we're going to go unprepared against the enemy."

"Plus you do have us" Ash said.

"We may not be ninja" Dawn admitted "But we want to make sure Azula doesn't have her way."

"I'm in" Brock agreed.

"I believe when I say this that we all are" Max said for his sister May, and Misty, he turned to Lance "You probably wouldn't want in."

"As Champion of Johto I must do what I can to ensure the safety of that region" Lance said "They'll have to be stopped."

Paul steps forward still feeling his injured shoulder which Haku healed somewhat "I just want that Princess to be stopped. No way will I want just fire type Pokemon."

"What's with him?" Naruto asked me.

I smiled as I whispered to him "That's Paul...Honestly he's this region's version of Sasuke."

Naruto stood upward glaring at Paul "YOUR SASUKE OF THIS REGION?!"

"Well all he cares about is power" I told Naruto.

"Just like Sasuke" Naruto said he looked at me "Did you have to battle him?"

I nodded but Ash spoke "She won!"

"Oh!" Naruto said grinning as he patted me on the back "Good job little sis! I like it when you beat these Sasuke at their own game."

It is then Naruto looked at Lance "Wait a second...You were a Rare Hunter serving Marik didn't you?"

"I was brainwashed by his Millennium Rod" Lance answered "And I did duel your sister."

"AND SHE BEAT YOU!" Naruto said.

"That she did" Lance admitted then he looked at Naruto "Why are you intersted in that all of the sudden."

"Aang, Hanabi, Haku, Toph and my little sister has Dueled" Naruto said "And I know how to Duel too, plus if my sister was able to beat you-"

"Here it comes" Hanabi muttered to me as I sweatdropped knowing what words Naruto was going to say and I muttered "Indeed...It's going to be the same words he used to try to Duel Haku with Haku using his normal deck and not borrowing my father's deck as a testing deck."

Naruto didn't hear us and spoke to Lance the exact words Hanabi, and I knew were coming "Then I can beat you too! While Kakashi-Sensei is thinking of a plan of attack, I want to Duel you...!"

"Isn't that pushing it?" Paul asked.

Haku mutters to Paul "This is Naruto we're talking about he always pushes things without thinking clearly..." Haku then spoke "Naruto! Are you sure you want to Duel him?"

"Of course I do!" Naruto shouted "I'll Duel him."

My brother turned to Lance "RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW! I WON'T ACCEPT NO FOR AN ANSWER!"

Toph turned to me speaking my mind for me "You're going to get capped Naruto."

Naruto heard her "No...Lance is! If my sister can beat him, then so can I!"

Lance looked at Naruto knowing Naruto was right, he wouldn't take no for an answer "Fine...But just so you know I was brainwashed when I dueled your sister. Marik the Third was calling the shots, but if you want to be embarrassed, I'll accept your challenge."

Naruto's ears perk up at the words embarrassed and he pointed to Lance "It's you that's going to get Embarrassed Believe it! Now let's get this done!"

"Fine" Lance said "If it's okay with Kakashi, or should I say General Kakashi."

I giggled at Lance's choice of words. Kakashi-Papa took his time to consider it "Well seeing that I have fought in wars, I'll say this can happen. While this is going on I'll not only watch but plan the attack."

"Alright then!" Naruto said to Lance activating his Duel Disk "Let's get this done!"

"Let's and you're about to realize that your way over your head. Try to keep up" Lance agreed activating his Duel Disk.

The two drew their top five cards and shouted "DUEL!"

Lance's Life Points: 4000

Naruto's Life Points: 4000

"I'll start us off!" Naruto offered with Lance letting him "It's my move, I draw!"

Naruto drew his card checking his hand thinking First thing is first, I gotta get more Life Points. More Life Points I have the more I can survive his attacks!

Naruto smiled "For my first move, I'll set one Monster face-down in defense mode and end my turn!"

"Smart move playing a Monster in defense Mode" Lance warned Naruto "It's my move, I draw!"

Lance drew his card and checked his hand then looked at him "However playing a Monster in defense mode won't help you at all, I summon Lancer Lindwrum in attack mode!"

Lancer Windwrum a Dragon with a sharp spear appeared on the field ATK: 1800

"Now" Lance told Naruto "Battle! Lancer Lindwrum attack Naruto's face-down monster!"

Naruto smiled "My Monster is in defense mode!"

"I wouldn't be smiling" Lance told him "Because when Lancer Lindwrum attacks a monster in defense mode, he delivers piercing damage!"

"SAY WHAT?!" Naruto demanded "Piercing Damage?!"

Lance nodded as his Monster strikes Naruto's which happened to be Nimble Monomgas "Correct!"

Naruto's Life Points fell.

Naruto's Life Points: 2300

Naruto eyes Lance "When Nimble Monogas is destroyed, I gain 1000 Life Points, then I can look through my deck and Special Summon two more of them to the field in defense mode!:

Naruto's Life Points increased by one thousand and two more of his monsters appeared in defense mode.

Naruto's Life Points: 3300, Def: 100 (X2)

"I'll set a card face-down" Lance said "Then I end my turn."

"Man" Max said looking at Lance's first move he made in this Duel against Naruto "Naruto tried to go defensive but Lance turned this upside down in turn one."

"Normally placing a Monster in defense mode is a good thing" Hanabi said "But against Lance's Lancer Windwrum that's a different story."

"Plus" Aang admitted "The battle damage isn't a good trade off. He's losing seventeen hundred Life Points and gaining one thousand after each Nimble Monongas is destroyed...Not good odds."

"Sometimes you have to let things play out" Kakashi-Papa and I sighed at the same time "Especially when it comes to Naruto whom doesn't like taking no for an answer."

"You may have a Monster that can deliver piercing damage lead but that won't help you!" Naruto shouted "It's my move, I draw!"

He drew his card "Sweet! Now I summon Key Mouse Tuner Monster!"

Key Mouse appeared ATK: 100

"Next" Naruto told Lance "I'm going to tune my Level 1 Key Mouse, with both of my level two Nimble Monogas!"

"That's a level Five Synchro!" Max told me.

Hanabi nodded "That's true and if I know from previous Duels with him, I know what Monster he has in mind."

I sweat drop "That might not be enough to beat Lance though..."

Despite this Naruto continued with a chant as X-Saber Knight and his Two Nimble Monogas began to come for a Synchro Summon "In order to protect Konoha, we must fight on and never give up...Synchro Summon...Defend...Naturia Beast!"

In a flash of white light Naturia Beast appeared ATK: 2200

"Now, Battle, Naturia Beast attack Lancer Lindwrum Naturia Pounce!"

Lance was ready for it "I activate my Trap Card: Waboku!"

Lance's Trap Card activated and he explained the effect "Now on this turn, I take no Battle Damage until the end of this turn, as a result my monster isn't destroyed by battle."

"Ahh!" Naruto shouted ending his Battle Phase "I'll set one Card Face Down turn end."

"It's my move" Lance told Naruto, "I draw!"

Lance drew alright "I summon Mirage Dragon in Attack Mode!"

Mirage Dragon appeared on the field ATK: 1600

"That's not strong enough!" Naruto told Lance.

"I know it's not strong enough" Lance told Naruto "However I know what I'm doing question is do you know what your doing?"

"I AM! I've stopped your Spell Cards as long as Naturia Beast remains on the field!"

Lance shook his head "It won't be there for long Naruto. For I have two level four Dragon Type Monsters."

Naruto was a bit slow at first but he admitted "Yes, you do have two level four Dragon Types? That are inferior to Naturia Beast! So what?"

Hanabi knew what was coming as she sighed "Naruto...Have you forgotten this already?"

I sweat dropped the answer as Naruto looked questioning at her which she answered her question "Oh Naruto...How you were our Duel Academy's second best Duelist I'll never know...Anyway here's my point WHAT DID HADES DO TO YOU AND ME IN OUR TAG DUEL AGAINST HIM AND SASUKE?!"

"Why he XYZ summoned...Why?" Naruto asked in slow tone.

Max slapped his forehead "And I thought Ash here was clueless at times."

Haku turned to him "Well there is Ash cluelessness then there is being Naruto cluelessness."

I was now blushing in embarrassment at my older brother's cluelessness.

It is then a short time later Naruto got it "HOLD ON?" he looks at Lance "YOU AREN'T GOING TO DO THAT ARE YOU?"

Lance smirked "Took you long enough to figure that out...And yes, now watch as I build the Overlay Network, overlaying Lancer Lindwurm and Mirage Dragon!"

Dark Cloud galaxy like clouds appeared over Lance's head as his two Level four Dragon Monsters became Overlay Units and shot straight into it with Lance chanting out "Dragon of Stealth, appear from the void and strike with surprise...Rank Four...XYZ Summon, Galaxy Stealth Dragon!"

Galaxy Stealth Dragon appeared on the field roaring ATK: 2000

This new Dragon looked pitch black with yellow scales.

"Not strong enough!" Naruto told him.

"True there" Lance admitted "At least not compared to your Naturia Beast, however, allow me to introduce to you Galaxy Stealth Dragon's Special ability! Once per turn, by detaching one Overlay Unit attached to him, I can select and Special Summon ANY Dragon Type Monster in my hand."

"ANY?!" Naruto demanded.

"That's right" Lance said "Any of them! So I offer up one Overlay Unit attached to Galaxy Stealth Dragon in order to Special Summon a BLUE-EYES WHITE DRAGON!"

One of the Overlay Units equipped to Galaxy Stealth Dragon disappeared and out of a dark vortex a Blue-Eyes White Dragon appeared roaring. ATK: 3000

Naruto saw the Dragon and froze "Wasn't that one of the great Seto Kaiba's favorite card?"

"He can be taught" Hanabi muttered.

I nodded blushing at her words.

"Now" Lance said "It's time for Battle, Blue-Eyes White Dragon attack Naturia Beast with BURST STREAM OF DESTRUCTION!"

The Blue-Eyes White Dragon roared gathering a powerful White Lightning in it's mouth and fired it at Naturia Beast.

Naruto thought fast "I activate my Trap Card: Enchanted Javelin! Even though this card won't stop your attack, This card will increase my Life Points by the amount of your Monster!"

Naruto's Life Points went up by three thousand. Naruto's Life Points: 6300

Then Lance's attack hit Naruto's Naturia Beast destroying her on sight.

Naruto's Life Points fell Naruto's Life Points: 5500

"I suppose that was a good move" Lance told Naruto "But now you are wide opened to a Direct Attack, Galaxy Stealth Dragon attack Naruto directly!"

Naruto watches and was ready somewhat ready for this "I activate Beast Ninja's effect from my hand. By discarding him to the Graveyard then drawing two cards. I get to keep the drawn cards but if any of them are Beast, Beast-Warrior or Warrior Type Monster, I can reduce the damage by 1000 points for each monster I drawn."

He discarded his monster then drew two cards he wasn't able to completely nulify Lance's Direct Attack but seeing that his Life Points only dropped by one thousand meant one was a Monster that matched the type he needed. Naruto's Life Points: 4500

"So far so good" Hanabi told me "He's keeping up with him."

I nodded "Indeed but Lance isn't done yet."

"Impressive you survived that round" Lance remarked to Naruto "I go to my Main Phase II and activate the Equip Spell Card: Dragon Shield and I'm equipping it to my Galaxy Stealth Dragon!"

A shield appeared covering Galaxy Stealth Dragon and Lance decided to not explain it's effect rather let Naruto figure it out "I'll set one card face-down and end my turn."

"It's my move then!" Naruto told him "I draw!"

Naruto drew his card and checked out his hand "Sweet! I now activate Beast Ninja's other effect! By removing it from play I can preform a Fusion Summon as long as the Fusion Material Monsters are Beast, Beast-Warrior or Warrior Type Monsters, and here it goes I'll fuse Andro Sphinx and Sphinx Teleia in my hand"

"He's fusing the Sphinxes?" Toph asked.

I smiled thinking Maybe you can beat Lance after all Naruto. I've never heard of a Fusion with Andro Sphinx and Sphinx Telina before.

Naruto's two Monsters appeared as images as they began to fuse with Naruto chanting out "Sphinxes of Ancient Kings and Queens unite as one to become an even more stronger leader, guardian of Konoha, Fusion Summon Level 10, Pharaoh's Sphinx!"

Naruto's new Fusion Monster appeared and it looked exactly like any other Sphinx except it had Sphix, Telhina's cat like Sphinx Body with Andro Sphinx's upper body except the head pretty much had the crown of the Egyptian Pharaoh. ATK: 3400

"Impressive Monster" Lance said.

"Oh he's impressive alright" Naruto said "I'll activate one of his Special Abilities! Once per turn he can remove from play one Monster on your side of the field until the end of the turn! Then until the end of the turn he gains that Monster's attack points!"

Naruto then pointed at Lance's Blue-Eyes White Dragon "And the Monster I choose to remove from play using Pharaoh's Sphinx's ability is your Blue-Eyes White Dragon! With it having three thousand attack points Pharaoh Sphinx shall gain all of them! Go Pharaoh Sphinx use your Pharaoh's Banishment on Lance's Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

Pharaoh's Sphinx roared and it's roar was so strong it literally opened the heavens removing from Play Lance's Blue-Eyes White Dragon and it's attack strength rises. 3400-6400

Naruto smiled thinking he had the win in this turn but I knew Dragon's Shield's effect and knew it was Galaxy Stealth Dragon that needed removed from play not Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Still Duels were learning thing and in my mind I was giving Naruto an A as if this were any other opponent he'd be up against he'd probably be able to one shot with this Monster. This move even caused Hanabi to nod at as this was a move that as an Obelisk Blue she'd try to pull off.

"Now" Naruto told Lance "It's time I end this Duel, Pharoah Sphinx attack Galaxy-Stealth Dragon and end this Duel with Pharaoh's Roar!"

Pharaoh's Sphinx gathered in an enormous display of power then it roared out this time a powerful wave emerged in a circle around the monster and it soon shot outward to Lance's Galaxy Stealth Dragon striking it and washing over it like a wave. There was an explosion and Naruto thought he won.

"I did it! I beat him finally!"

"Check again" Lance told him in a firm voice.

Naruto's eyes widened seeing Lance's Life Points at their normal state of 4000 "But how?! You're Life Points should be zero!"

He then saw Galaxy-Stealth Dragon was still standing not destroyed "How's it standing?!"

Lance answer that question"It's thanks to my Dragon's Shield Equip Spell Card Naruto, once it's equipped to a Dragon Monster, that Dragon type Monster can't be destroyed by Battle."

"Oh! But your Life Points still should be at zero!" Naruto berated him.

Lance again held his ground smiling "Also the answer comes from Dragon Shield, both you and I take no damage from Monsters battling the Monster Equipped with it."

Naruto pails now seeing his error "So...My Monster's ability...It."

Lance nodded "It back fired when you removed Blue-Eyes White Dragon."

Naruto sighed "Oh well nothing to gain over a mistake..."

Lance took the time activate his Trap Card "I activate the Trap Card: Jar of Greed, it'll allow me to Draw one Card."

Naruto sighed "So that's what that card was...Turn end."

Lance nodded "Now that you ended your turn your Pharaoh Sphinx's attack strength goes back to normal and my Blue-Eyes White Dragon comes back!"

Naruto nodded "It does."

Naruto's Monster had it's attack points returned back to normal and Lance's Blue-Eyes White Dragon reappeared on Lance's side of the field. 6400-3400. Blue-Eyes White Dragon's ATK: 3000

"It's my move" Lance told Naruto "I draw!"

Lance drew his card nodding "I activate the effect of Galaxy-Stealth Dragon again, I'll offer up another one of my Overlay Units to Special Summon...Red-Eyes Black Dragon!"

The last Overlay Unit detached from Lance's Monster and out of another dark void came out Joey Wheeler's Monster the Red-Eyes Black Dragon. ATK: 2400

"Next" Lance said "I activate the Spell Card: Inferno Fire Blast!"

Naruto heard this and frowned as Lance tells him what it does "This Spell Card allows me to select one Red-Eyes Black Dragon and inflict it's attack points as damage to you."

Naruto watches as the Red-Eyes Black Dragon attacked him with it but he was ready for it "I activate Pharoah Sphinix's second special ability, once per turn if I am to take effect damage, he can redirect that attack back to you!"

"SMART MOVE!" I told him as this did take Lance off guard.

Lance's Red-Eyes Black Dragon attacked Naruto using Inferno Fire Blast but Naruto's Fusion Monster inferered redirecting the attack back at Lance. This time Lance took the blow from his own attack and smiled "Not bad...I may have underestimated your Fusion Monster."

Lance's Life Points: 1600

Lance then stood up "Well then it's time I destroy your Fusion Monster."

"How?" Naruto asked.

Lance answered "I activate the Spell Card Polymerization! This'll allow me to fuse my Red-Eyes Black Dragon, with my Blue-Eyes White Dragon on the field!"

Lance's two Monster now began fusing with Lance chanting out "Dragon of Blue-Eyes, Dragon of Red-Eyes join forces together to become one mighty foe. Roar...Fusion Summon Level 8...Magenta-Eyes Split Dragon!"

Naruto gasped "What the heck?!"

Lance's Fusion Monster between his Red-Eyes and Blue-Eyes came onto the field and I remembered it from my Duel with Marik the Third when he was in control of Lance's Monster and now knew Naruto was in trouble. ATK: 3500

"Now" Lance told Naruto "Battle! Magenta-Eyes Split Dragon, attack Pharaoh's Sphinx with Blue-Eyes's Burst Stream Of Destruction!"

Naruto watches as his monster took Magenta-Eyes Split Dragon's attack and exploded. Naruto's Life Points fell a bit. Naruto's Life Points: 4400

Naruto then spoke "When Pharaoh Sphinx is destroyed by Battle or Card Effect, thanks to it's last ability I can then Special Summon both Andro Sphinx and Sphinx Telhina to the field with their level's reduced by two!"

I watched as in Naruto's Fusion Monster's ash's Andro Sphinx and Sphinx Telhina appeared on the field. Andro Sphinx was in attack mode ATK: 3000, while Sphinx Telhina was in Defense mode DEF: 3000 and both had their levels reduced by two making them level eight Monsters.

"Not bad" Lance admitted to Naruto "But when Magenta-Eyes Split Dragon attacks and inflicts battle Damage, it gains that difference as attack points."

Naruto watches as Magentia-Eyes Split Dragon's attack rose by one hundred "No big deal!"

3500-3600

"It's a very big deal" Lance warned Naruto "Because Magenta-Eyes Split Dragon can attack twice during the Battle Phase!"

Naruto pails "IT CAN ATTACK AGAIN?!"

Lance nodded "Yep and now you'll pay the price! Magentia-Eyes Split Dragon attack Andro Sphinx with Dark Flame Shot!"

This time when Lance's Fusion Monster attacked it attacked with the Red-Eyes Black Dragon head using it's attack on Andro Sphinx. The attack hit Andro Sphinx destroying it in a blazing inferno.

Lance looks at Naruto "Just like before...Any Battle Damage my Dragon inflicts, it gains that amount of attack!"

Naruto's Life Points: 3800, Magentia-Eyes Split Dragon ATK 3600-4200

Lance checks his hand "I'll set one card face-down and end my turn."

"This looks bad!" Max told me "I don't think your brother has anything he can take to handle Lance's Fusion Monster."

"This Duel is exciting!" Ash proclaimed "I've never seen a heated Duel like this before."

I looked as if to smack him to remind him about his Duels he seen with me and Ash quickly remarks "Oh yours were close too Lady Kasumi!"

"That's better" I told him I checked the duel field then told Max "Careful Max...It may look hopeless to you but my brother isn't a quitter. As my father has told me, a Duel isn't over till the last card is played! I'm honestly surprised my brother was able to keep up with Lance this long. He's held onto as long as he could. His Pharaoh's Sphinx was impressive."

"How can he win this Duel?" Max asked me.

I smiled "Naruto may or he may not figure that out but he'll give it his best!"

Naruto heard this nodding remarking to Max "Hey Four-Eyes! I'm not a quitter when things look bad, and I've never backed down from a challenge, this next move, I'll beat him for sure and I know how to! It's my move, I draw!"

He drew his card nodding "And I'll beat Lance this turn with this, I summon Kyubbi Synchron Tuner Monster!"

"Now we're talking!" Aang shouted with delight.

Toph smirked feeling this as Naruto's Tuner appeared "Indeed! I've been wondering when I'll see that card again. Now I know what's coming next!"

ATK: 1000

Naruto smiled at Lance "Now it's my turn to end this Duel! With Kyubbi Synchron being a level four Tuner Monster, I'll tune him to my Level Eight Sphinx Teleia!"

"That's a Level 12 Synchro!" Aang shouted.

Naruto nodded "You bet it is!" Kyubbi Synchron split into four rings scanning Sphinx Telhina chanting out "To become the next Hokage, one must work hard to accomplish his goals...Synchro Summon Blaze Into Action...Kyubbi Dragon!"

Kyubbi Dragon appeared on the field ATK: 4000

Naruto points to Lance "Now you're in for it! Because when Kyubbi Dragon is on the field, he's my Ace! You see for Each Beast Monster in my Graveyard, he gains five hundred additional attack points. Now let's see I have all three Nimble Monogas in my Graveyard, Key Mouse, Naturia Beast, Pharaoh's Sphinx, Andro Sphinx, Sphinx Telhina and now Kyubbi Synchron, that's a total of Nine Beast Type Monsters in my Graveyard!"

Lance watches calmly while Naruto's ace increased it's attack nearly doubling it's attack. 4000-8500

Naruto now points "Now Kyubbi Dragon attack Magenta-Eyes Split Dragon with Kyubbi Inferno!"

Kyubbi Dragon roared then unleashed a powerful burst of fire at Lance's Fusion Monster. Lance held his ground allowing the attack to hit him but he spoke "I activate my Trap Card: Defense Draw! It makes any Battle Damage I take 0 for this one attack and I draw one card!"

Naruto frowned as Lance's Fusion Monster is destroyed but thanks to Lance's Trap Card, Lance's Life Points were safe. Lance drew his card looking at Naruto with what I can tell you was a mix of Seto Kaiba's smirk and Jack Atlas's smirk both indicting they got you where they wanted you.

"GRR! You survived!" Naruto shouted.

"Too bad your Life Points won't survive this next round" Lance warned "For when Magenta-Eyes Split Dragon is destroyed by Battle, I can Special Summon one Blue-Eyes White Dragon and one Red-Eyes Black Dragon to the Field!"

"I see, it's like Pharaoh's Sphinx's destruction effect" Naruto muttered seeing the Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Blue-Eyes White Dragon reappear on Lance's side of the field. ATK: 2400, 3000

Naruto then mutters gritting his teeth "Great..."

"It gets worse" Lance promised Naruto "For each Dragon I bring back you take one thousand points of damage!"

Naruto jerks his head up "OH COME ON! YOU BROUGHT BACK TWO WHICH MEANS I TAKE TWO THOUSAND POINTS OF DAMAGE!"

Lance smirked "Correct! Now take Magenta Burst!"

Each of Lance's two Dragons were covered with the color Magenta and then shot that blast out at Naruto. Naruto took the blast and his Life Points fall. Naruto's Life Points: 1800

"Just about even" Lance told Naruto.

"It's not over yet!" Naruto said to Lance "I have a big threat out and you only have two Dragons that can't touch mine!"

"Correct" Lance told Naruto "For now."

"Turn end" Naruto said.

"Wow!" Max shouted "Naruto did pull off a sweet move right now!"

I nodded "That's the thing with Naruto he can hold his own against most decks and he has beaten some incredible Duelist. Just his win to loss record is about fifty-fifty."

"Like Ash's win record!"

Ash winced at this "Say that again Max!"

"Well" Misty told Ash "That's true you win half of the time and you'll lose half of the time."

"It's my move!" Lance announced "I draw!"

Lance drew his card and checked it out then grinned "It's time I end this Naruto, I activate the Spell Card: Dragon Fusion!"

"Naruto's fate is sealed" I said.

All eyes turned to me not knowing what was coming exactly but I knew.

Naruto heard this seeing the Fusion Card "Dragon Fusion?!"

Lance nodded "Now I can remove from Play Dragon Type Monsters on my field or Graveyard for a Fusion Summon of a Dragon Monster."

"ANOTHER FUSION?!" Naruto demanded "What's with you and Fusions?!"

Lance answered "It just so happens my deck has four Fusion Monsters, seven Synchros, and two XYZ Monsters. And it also happens I just drew Dragon Fusion."

Naruto sighed "Fine whatever Fusion Summon it won't save you against Kyubbi Dragon."

"Oh it will" Lance said "For I remove from play my Red-Eyes Black Dragon, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Galaxy-Stealth Dragon on the field, Mirage Dragon, and Magenta-Eyes Split Dragon from my Graveyard.

"FIVE DRAGONS?!" Toph demanded then she remembered the Monster I dueled against and then she remembered Dragon Fusion's other effect and spoke "Oh, boy, Lady Kasumi's right...Naruto lost."

"NO I HAVEN'T!" Naruto demanded "NOT YET ANYWAY!"

"Oh you're beaten alright" Lance told Naruto then he began to chant out "Surpreme Dragon, rise from the ashes and fuse with your brethren to rule over the lands...FUSION SUMMON! Level 12 Five Headed Dragon!"

Lance's own Ace Monster appeared it was the very scary and high hitting attack point Five Headed Dragon! ATK: 5000

Naruto seeing the attack points laughed "That's the Monster you can beat me with? Ha! You had me worried over nothing. Toph this Monster can't touch me!"

"Yet" Toph warned.

"It's over" Lance promised Naruto "In one full swoop! You see Dragon Fusion acts like Dragon Mirror in the effect of removing Monsters on my field and Graveyard but...It also is only used for Dragon Fusion Monsters and that Fusion Monster like Power-Bond's effect has their original Attack Points doubled."

"DOUBLED!" Naruto demanded then he starts to sweat nervously "Then that means..."

Lance nodded "This means my Dragon's stronger."

Naruto watches as Five-Headed Dragon's attack points doubled 5000-10000

"He's screwed!" Max shouted.

Naruto checked his Monster's attack points which were 8500 "No, I'll survive, I'll only take fifteen Hundred attack points."

Lance chuckled "Which is why I have one last card to play curtsy of Defense Draw."

Naruto heard this gulping as Lance points out "Now just to point out to you Naruto, the Dragon Fusion Monster I use on you isn't affected by your card effects. So I activate the Equip Spell Card: Axe of Despair attaching it to my Five-Headed Dragon."

In Five-Headed Dragon's claws it held the Axe of Despair as Lance told him the effect "Now Naruto...The Equipped Monster gains 1000 extra attack points."

"Nuts" Naruto said checking his hand as he had nothing to stop this attack and with Lance's Monster unaffected by Card Effects he was certainly finished.

Lance then spoke "For that matter, Five-Headed Dragon can only be destroyed by battle by Light Attribute Monsters."

Naruto sighed "Yeah I know about Five-Headed Dragon...Just never thought I'd ever have to face it...Well at least not with over Ten thousand attack points!"

"Now" Lance told him "Battle! Five-Headed Dragon attack Kyubbi Dragon with Despair Centripetal Blast!"

Five-Headed Dragon roared throwing the Axe of Despair into the mix of it's five headed breathe attack. The attack strikes Kyubbi Dragon and destroys it. Thanks to Axe of Despair, the Battle Damage was too much for Naruto and his Life Points were deputed.

Naruto's Life Points: 0

Lance's Life Points: 1600

Naruto sighed "Well, I lost that one."

Paul smirked "One could say you were crushed the only damage you inflicted was from that redirection...Lance totally had control over you. Like he truly is." He then paused then smirked out one word that I knew would set Naruto off "Well who knew there was a bigger loser than Ash."

I gasped knowing Paul's words would set something off in Naruto, oh it did. Naruto made a fist and charged Paul for this mockery and it took me and Kakashi-Papa to hold him back "COME ON YOU TWO LET ME AT THAT GUY! He's asking for it! I promise it'll be just one or two punches to the face! I'll teach him to be like Sasuke!"

Lance turned to Paul "That's quite enough from you Paul."

Paul looked at Lance whom looked serious at him "If there is one thing in Dueling it's one respects the other Duelist. That's what I learned over time. Kaiba is the only Duelist in history that can mock other Duelist, most others respect the other, and that's the true winner here."

Paul made it as if to interject but Lance put his whole authority here "I don't want any trouble coming from you Paul. These brave ninjas are going to put themselves on the line for Shinoh and most of us are going to help them. I don't want to hear any more mockery coming from you. I'll admit this...Naruto would cap you in a Duel."

Paul looked at Lance surprised Lance was doing this but Kakashi-Papa understood this motive and nodded "Thanks Lance, I do need someone to keep the trainers in line and if everyone is ready let's begin discussing our attack, before then Haku?!"

Haku appeared next to him "Yes Kakashi-Sensei?"

"Scout ahead for a little while" Kakashi-Papa ordered "Then when you and"

He pauses looking at Team Signer "And Team Signer look out for anyone that might be coming this way that's from the Fire Nation or Spy for them. I'll be discussing our attack."

"With me at your side right?!" Sokka asked excited.

"Fine..." Kakashi-Papa said.

"YES!" Sokka said missing out on Kakashi-Papa's next choice of words "I need a clown to keep the other clowns in line and in control, it might as well be you."

With this Haku with Jessie, James, Meowth at his side went to look around.

This duel is over! Lance vs. Naruto really shows what Lance can do. Originally the duel was supposed to be one-sided with Lance completely being Seto Kaiba and Naruto being Joey, in the end it ended like so, but I did want to show off Naruto isn't that easy to beat. Anyway next chapter is Chapter 49: Reclaiming Shinoh: Kakashi devises a daring plan to cut the Fire Nation off and save all of Shinoh before they reach the biggest City in Shinoh. Can Kakashi guide his fellow Ninjas and their Pokemon Trainer allies to victory?

Hey guys again I've decided to cut back on Letting Kasumi and her pals doing this section but I'm going to do it again. There are two cards that I will be introducing you all to and all made up so don't go looking for them in stores.

The first one is

Effect: If you are being attacked Directly you may discard this Card from your hand to the Graveyard, draw two cards. If any of the drawn cards are Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Warrior Type Monsters decrease the Monster's Direct Attack Damage by 1000. During your Main Phase if you are Fusion Summoning a Beast Type Monster, and this card is in your Graveyard, you can remove this card from play to Fusion Summon that Beast Monster using cards in your Hand or on the Field.

Type: Fusion/Beast/Effect

Attribute: LIGHT

Requirements: "Andro Sphinx"+"Sphinx Teleia"

Effect: This Card can only be Fusion Summoned by the Cards mentioned and can't be Special Summoned by any other means. During your Main Phase 1, once per turn you can remove from play One Monster on your opponent's side of the field until the end of the turn, if you do this card gain's that card's Attack Points until the end of the turn. Once per any player's turn if you would take Effect Damage from a Card Effect, that effect damage is negated then redirected to your opponent's Life Points. If this card is destroyed by Battle or Card Effect, Special Summon 1 Andro Sphinx and 1 Sphix Telhina from your Graveyard and reduce their levels by two.

Much like Magenta-Eyes Split Dragon which was originally Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes Split Dragon, thanks to Dragon Knight 15 for the suggestion on that one chapter I did which was when I look back at it horrible, I've decide to give both Andro Sphinx and Sphinx Telhina a Fusion Form and from it's effects it sounds dangerous.
