5.Through the halls, Anna still kept her composure. She moved swiftly avoiding areas where the population of catgirls was extremely dense, such as the hallway near the library. It was always crowded over there when there was an exam in a few days. Catgirls getting together and reviewing, forming groups up to 4-5 at a time to knock out various subjects in math or reading. Anna wasn't really a fan of Math, reading seemed to be more of her thing. Unfortunately for her, she was headed to math next period. Anna starts to speed walk towards her class, moving with a mission. She opens the door with 22 pairs of eyes looking at her including the teacher.

"Ms. Anna, you made it in time." Said the teacher. She was an older woman. Possibly in her late 50's. She wore rimmed wire glasses and wore a typical teacher outfit. It wasn't too outstanding though it gave her the old fashioned professor look. Anna nodded her head and sat in the middle row. Smack dab in the center. The teacher began to call out names of various students. When Anna's name was called, she said "Here" and sat back down.

"Ms. Clarisse?" The teacher called out to which no one answered. The girls in the class looked around and noticed an empty seat by the window.

"She had drill duty today." said a classmate. The teacher huffed out a tired breath.

"That girl can never get a break." the teacher mumbles and continues on counting the students in attendance. When the teacher finishes, she starts off with writing something about precalculus. I hear Anna mutter something and sigh. I couldn't understand what the teacher was saying. She kept mentioning sin, cosines, and this thing called tangent. It was all so confusing that it gave me a headache. I decided that this is the best time to relax. Listening to the sound of Anna's fluttering heartbeat, I doze off into a light slumber.

6.Clack, clack, clack. The sound of Anna's shoes hitting the floor woke me. my eyelids feel extremely heavy. My body is tired as I've been cramped inside this pocket. I notice that she seems worn out. The chatter of students rose in volume and she entered the library. The library had students everywhere, making it hard to keep me concealed; however Anna had an idea. She held her books to her chest, hiding me from others that may be watching. From there she looks around and finds a seat close to the back. It was a Quiet Only section where only a few girls sat to read books. She halfway expected Zoey to be around her.

Zoey did like to read, but sadly she was nowhere to be seen. Anna found a table where a ray of sunshine heated the table. From there she held her head down and let the heat of the sun warm her cheeks. At the table she rested and I listened to Anna's light breathing. I started to think about something, and it may sound crazy but….. Maybe Anna wasn't a bad girl after all. Sure, she may be a bit crude. Sometimes rude and blunt. Even a little sadistic. But was she honestly evil? Anna did tell me that there were catgirls who could do a lot worse than her. She even let me out of my cage to watch television with her. Maybe she was like any other young adult. scared, afraid, and trying her best to deal with the world. Perhaps she was really lonely.

But no matter what I felt with anna. I knew for a fact that my true place was with zoey. I wouldn't let anything stop me. No matter what cat girl stood in the way. As I lay there reflecting on my situation; I hear slight footsteps and a familiar voice that whispers something.

"Anna?" A quirky voice softly speaks. I'm still hiding in Anna's pocket, but see a well known figure. Short in posture with curly hair. The figure reaches out to softly shake Anna.

"Anna, wake up. This is a library, not a nap zone." This voice sounded extremely familiar. I feel Anna's body shift and hear her take a deep breath.

"5 more minutes please." Anna mutters and she puts her hands over her ears to drown out the sound.

"No can do. You have gym class in like.." the figure stops to pull out her phone and check the time, " 10 minutes."

"Aww man." Anna stretches and sees through her blurry vision, Naomi standing there smiling.

"Naomi! Just the girl I wanted to see." Anna shoots up with a gleaming smile and puts both of her hands on Naomi's shoulders. Naomi flinches and looks down nervously.

"W-what is it?" Naomi stutters and she blushes profusely.

"Come with me." Anna grabs her hand and leads her outside. Anna drags her off to a far off corner away from everyone and makes sure that they're alone. I see Naomi shaking like a scared Chihuahua and looking at Anna fearing for her life.

"Anna, I don't know what I did; but I'm sorry!" Naomi quickly apologizes, but Anna looks puzzled.

"What are you talking about? You know what, nevermind." Anna shakes her head to get her mind focused.

"Look. I need you to do me a BIG favor." Naomi felt uncomfortable. She looked as if someone was stripping her in public.

"Uhh, ok?" Naomi sounded very bashful at this request. Anna took a deep breath. I hear her heartbeat pick up.

"Don't ask me how I got it and Please, for the love of all, don't mention this to harper." Anna began. Naomi tilted her head to the side, befuddled. Anna reaches into her shirt pocket and pulls me out. I didn't resist this time. I trusted Anna surprisingly. Anna's palm cups around me. She pushes me towards Naomi and slowly uncovers me. I first feel the sun, but then feel Naomi staring at me down. She looks shocked at first, but then her face turns into one of an excited puppy.

"Anna! I can't believe you have a mouse- '' Anna covers Naomi's mouth to muffle the last word. Behind Anna's palm, she can feel Naomi grinning from cheek to cheek. A few people look around, but none of them eyeing her.

"Naomi, this is very, very, important." Anna was gentle with the way she said it, "I need you to watch him for me, at least until after 5th period."

Naomi quickly nodded and held me gently in her palm. Her grin was contagious. It made me smile as well.

"Look, he's smiling!" Naomi said, "He's so cute!" Anna sighed, thankful.

"Whatever you do. Don't let You Know Who finds him." Anna said. I had an idea of who they were talking about; but dared not mention the name. Naomi used her one free hand to make a movement like she was crossing her heart.

"I swear I won't." she said as serious as could be, though she was fighting to contain her grin.

"Ok Naomi, I trust you on this one. I gotta go to class." Anna said as she turned around, "See you in 3 hours." I see Anna turn around and speed walk to her next class, disappearing into the entrance of the school. I'm standing in Naomi's tiny palm as she's giggling to herself. She seems to be completely captivated by my existence. I see her yellow eyes practically sparkle, blistering with happiness.

"Come on, Mr...uhh" she bites her lower lip as I see her thinking about something, "What was your name again?"

I lift up a finger and open my mouth to speak ; but then remember that she couldn't understand me. Naomi shrugged her shoulders and decided on calling me a number.

"I'll call you #33. You're the 33rd mouseboy I know. And now you're my responsibility. At least until 5th period." Naomi held me in both her palms and then put me in her flower pocket. Then she looked around, to make sure she was alone; and tiptoed to a space behind the school. It was in an old abandoned gym where concessions were served. Naomi found a wide locker and did a secret knock. I found it confusing, but then I heard a tiny sound. It sounded like something knocking back. Then from the inside, the door was opened. I heard the sound of metal scraping against metal. It made my ears tremble, but I heard a soft creak as the door opened. To my amazement I see mouse boys like me looking at me like I'm an alien.
