Chapter 60: Dueling Vengeance P4

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, or Avatar the Last Air Bender, or Hades whom is Disney's version of him. I do own Kasumi along with most of her deck which is based off of Fire Emblem female characters and the four Titan Cards.

Aang's POV

I have to admit this, I was devastated, with Toph's soul stolen by Sasuke, things looked really bad. I was sure I could take Sasuke on in a Duel but where was he going now? I was still holding Toph's body. I somehow made it back to camp with Haku, Sokka, Team Signer, and Lance surviving the engagements of the Fire Nation. Haku turned towards me as I was still making my way towards the camp. Haku sighed "Prince Zuko attacked my end Aang."

"Yeah and that Princess Azula attacked us!" Sokka shouted "I thought we were gonna die!"

"If it wasn't for Lance's ordering his Dragonite to drop that boulder onto the attackers we might've been" Meowth admitted.

"My question was why did they attack us?" James inquired.

I sighed arriving holding Toph's body and showing them Toph's condition with Haku gritting his teeth as I answered "So the Soul Stealing thief could track down Toph, and beat her in a Duel."

"Toph" Haku growled "Not her too now."

Katara studied this "Not good, that's two souls stolen...Aang do you know who did this?"

"I do" I answered then after I looked around to make sure Naruto or Lady Kasumi weren't around to listen to my answer, continued "Sasuke Uchiha."

Lance and Haku looked at each other in alarm. In fact almost everyone of us looked around in a bit of alarm. Sasuke was the one that stole Toph's soul and Hanabi's soul as well. Lance looks at Haku "So...It seems that Sasuke is targeting Aang and Lady Kasumi's friends question is what for?"

Haku knew immediately "He wants to lure both Aang and Kasumi into a trap."

I made a fist "Where I do want to get even with Sasuke for taking Toph's soul in front of me and for stealing Hanabi's soul, I wouldn't fall that easily for a trap."

"But Lady Kasumi will" Haku said and I nodded.

Haku continued "If she sees Hanabi and now Toph...She'll know something is up..."

"But what do we do?" Jessie asked Haku "Sasuke knows where we are and seems to like splitting us up to get us..."

I turned to Haku "At the rate he's taking souls he might be ether coming after you next."

"Wouldn't it be sucide for Sasuke to take Haku on in a Duel?" Sokka asked me.

I shook my head "Sasuke is quite dangerous! He downright admitted Hanabi stood no chance against him and owned her within two or three turns without losing a single Life Point. Toph had a chance but Sasuke just overpowered her in the end having dangerous threats like Destiny Hero Dystopia, Samurai Destroyer, and even Archfiend Black Skull. It's clear her's a dangerous Duelist...I think Haku could be a match to him, but eventually this might come down to him getting what he wants, Lady Kasumi herself to Duel him."

"And the more souls he stoles from Kasumi's friends the more he grows closer to do that" I muttered turning to Lance "I still wouldn't want her to go but we can't hide Hanabi and Toph from her for long...She'll know something's up."

"I'm surprised she hasn't sensed any of her friend's souls being stolen yet" Lance admitted in agreement "Looking at the facts, Team Signer most likely wouldn't last too long against Sasuke in a Duel, so ether you have to take him down or I will have to."

"I'll go after Sasuke" Haku told us causing us all to look at him in shock.

Haku stood up "It's what my duty is all about. Sure I'm Lady Kasumi's teammate but I'm also her bodyguard. I've given Aki-Sensei her mother my ninja oath and I will protect Lady Kasumi from Sasuke. Lance...I'm counting on you to try to think of things to make sure Lady Kasumi doesn't go after Sasuke if she finds out about Hanabi and Toph."

Lance understood Haku "Gotcha."

Haku turned towards me "Aang, if I fail to defeat Sasuke...Send Team Signer to get my body after the Duel is over."

"You sure you are going alone?" I asked.

I nodded "It's best everyone else stays here to help Lance on trying to make sure the Lady Signer doesn't do something foolish like run after Sasuke willingly into a trap. It's what he's wanting her to do and we can't have her do that."

Without any more words Haku left the group with me turning to Lance "So what shall we do first? Or what can we do?"

Lance crosses his arms "If Haku losses and Lady Kasumi is on her way back...I have one solution in mind...We'll give him Lady Kasumi."

Katara blinked "Hugh?"

"Yeah hello Lance" Sokka told Lance "If he captures Lady Kasumi and Aang well he's going to force Kasumi into marriage where he and Orochimaru will use her against us and Aang could end up dead!"

I chuckled getting Lance's plan "Lance...You can't possibly say that you are planning a game of deceit are you?"

"I am" Lance told me "If Sasuke wants Lady Kasumi...We'll give him Lady Kasumi...Only that Lady Kasumi will be Naruto himself in disguise as the Lady Signer."

Sokka blinked "But Lady Kasumi doesn't want Naruto to confront Sasuke."

"At this point" I told Sokka "It's better Naruto goes to confront Sasuke than Lady Kasumi herself. At least we buy ourselves a bit more time to hold the real Lady Kasumi back."

"But Naruto's skills aren't comparable to you, Haku, and Lady Kasumi herself!" Katara argued with Lance "Honestly Hanabi's beaten him twice and Sasuke beat her!"

I saw Lance's plan "Katara, there's no such thing as actual duel ratings on who is stronger...Sure Hanabi's beaten Naruto which in your eyes would make her a better Duelist than Naruto, and Sasuke defeated her in a Duel which means he's stronger than Hanabi. So in that logic you are giving us it means you think Naruto wouldn't stand a chance against Sasuke."

"He didn't against Lance" Jessie told me.

Lance shrugged "True he didn't but he never gave up ether. He continued dueling until his Life Points were zero."

"Plus" I told them "Haku has told me plenty of times during our time together that Naruto has actually came up with impressive wins. Sure he may look like the weakest Duelist among us but he's also got wins where he needed them. He's beaten Anibus the Egyptian God of the Dead which is an impressive victory, he's also beaten Jesse Anderson of Konoha's Duel Academy-"

"Only cause he let Naruto do so"

"True" I said "But he also beat Jack Atlas when he was revived by Orochimaru along with the other Signers...And as I know Jack Atlas isn't an easy Duelist to beat...Especially with Red Nova Dragon on his side."

"And let's not forget" Lance said looking at Katara "Naruto did help Hanabi in a Tag Duel to save Lady Kasumi from Hades did he not?"

Katara nodded "That's true."

"So following his pattern" Lance told her "Naruto would most likely be able to beat Sasuke in a Duel because of the urgency of the situation. I'm pretty sure once we've told Naruto that Sauske is after his sister to marry and certainly use her in a sexual way to restore his clan and how he is planning to do so, I'm sure the Naruto that has beaten Anibus, Jack Atlas and Hades, Lord of the Dead will pull through. In a way it's the standard big brother protecting his younger sister thing similar to what Joey Wheeler does for his sister Serenity Wheeler. So Naruto would have to be our last hope to restore what Sasuke has done to perhaps three of our friends."

"That's true" I said "But if we are going to need Naruto...We'll have to ask for him in secret."

"Leave that to me" I said "I'll go to where Lady Kasumi is training, Kakashi and Naruto are with her. I'll be the one to ask for Naruto and send him to Lance. We gotta get ready to inform Naruto of what has been going on."

Lance agreed "Do so."

I start to wander off in the direction of Lady Kasumi's training ground.

Kasumi's POV

I was watching Kakashi-Papa's ninja dog Pakkun training Snowflake. My snow white Baby Vulpix was indeed learning. Takara was at my feet resting and watching too. Amazingly with Pakkun's teachings Snowflake was getting better and better. He had started her off with conditioning skills so that she could keep herself in shape, that and it was also so she could keep her speed. As I was watching, I saw Aang approaching. Kakashi-Papa saw him too and by how Aang was acting, I immediately suspected something. Mostly Aang's friendly character would've been smiling as he approached me, but he was approaching me cautiously almost as if trying to avoid detection. This sent red flags in my head as I now knew something happened that was causing Aang to do this. Kakashi-Papa spoke "Yo, Aang, Lady Kasumi and I know you are approaching. No use trying to sneak up on us."

Aang had arrived "Sorry Lady Kasumi, but...Can I borrow Naruto for a moment or two?"

I looked at Aang as I detected an unease tone in the Avatar's voice a second red flag to me as I was now beginning to realize something might've happened "Aang...What happened?"

"Nothing!" Aang said to me quickly "A-A-A-At least nothing for you to worry your head over! Can I borrow Naruto?"

My eyes shift now suspecting something major had happened as I knew deep down in my heart, Aang would never lie to anyone. Kakashi-Papa also expected something as he had a deep conversation with Aang "Can't be absolutely nothing when you are looking for Naruto."

I briefly returned my attention to Snowflake's training as Aang leaned over towards Kakashi-Papa's ears whispering "Its for Kasumi's own good...Sasuke's stolen Hanabi and Toph's souls and if Kasumi knew about it as we have a pretty good idea who he's after-"

Now I didn't exactly hear these words exactly but I saw Kakashi-Papa shift understanding the situation now as he whispered back "Oh...If she knew then she'd fall right into his trap."

Aang nodded then spoke in a normal tone "I need to borrow Naruto but only for a moment. Lady Kasumi please tell me what Naruto has been doing to help you and I'll do what I can to help!"

I wasn't completely satisfied on what Aang had answered me about nothing going on. I knew but now Kakashi-Papa spoke for me "Sure you can Aang. Naruto!"

Naruto jerked his head up "Yes, Kakashi-Sensei?"

Kakashi-papa points to Aang "Aang wants to speak to you in private."

Naruto nodded "Alright! If you'll execuse me sis!"

I gave him permission "okay..."

Naruto walked over to Aang and the two seemed to take to an area to speak with me turning to Kakashi-Papa "What was that about? Aang's usually cheerful."

Kakashi-Papa answered "Just as Aang said nothing too worry your head about. You're friends are handling themselves. Just focus on training your pets and yourself for your new Jutsu...Something tells me you're going to need it soon."

Naruto's POV

I had followed Aang up to a high tree but in a good enough distance Kasumi couldn't reach us or hear us. Now I was unsure what this was exactly about but I had a feeling deep down that Aang wouldn't be doing this without good reason. After all he and my sister were together on this front...So what was he keeping a secret from her? His worried look told me that it was for Kasumi's own good. As we stopped I asked "What's going on? Even I know you lied to my sister."

Aang turned to me "It's for your own good."

He points towards Hanabi and Toph's figures in the distance. I caught sight of them "Are they sleeping?"

I put a hand over my eyes to get a better view Katara had placed cold water pads over their heads but for some odd reason both Hanabi and Toph weren't responding to the treatment and they weren't breathing. I was about to shout but Aang nudged my shoulder "This is the reason why I asked for you Naruto, however you must not shout or your sister will know something is up."

I now had a pretty good idea on what was going on now as I asked "Tell me, what's going on?"

Aang answered "Sasuke attacked twice, once during last night, he lured Hanabi out into the open where he could Duel her and he beat her-"

My jaw dropped at hearing Sasuke beat Hanabi as I tried to contain myself from shouting but my surprise was making it hard for me to do so "He beat Hanabi?"

"That he did" Aang told me "And recently he also beat Toph in a Duel."

I looked at Hanabi and Toph's bodies "Are they dead? Or in a Coma?"

"In a way worse that those two things..." Aang answered "Sasuke stole their souls."

"HE-what?" I asked almost shouting but catching myself.

Aang nodded "He stole Hanabi and Toph's souls when he defeated them. They will remain like that until their souls are freed."

"I see" I said shifting "Hey, wait a second...Where's Haku?"

"He went to stop Sasuke" Aang answered "We figured what Sasuke's planning, it's to duel Lady Kasumi and my friends and steal their souls so that the Lady Signer and I can fall into an open trap. Haku went ahead to Duel Sasuke but with how strong Sasuke's deck is even Haku's skills might not be enough."

"And his soul could be taken" I said getting the urgency "I gotta go-"

Aang held onto me "Trust me, Lance has taken command briefly of who is left and he sent me to get you. We don't need your sister to fall into a trap, so the longer she's in the dust, the more we can keep her safe."

I now knew the urgency even more now. If my sister discovered Hanabi, and Toph soulless, then after everything was explained to her, like me she'd tear off to take the one that stole their souls. Then add into the fact Haku's soul could also be stolen if he lost, that would make it worse. My sister would more than likely fall into a trap. "Sasuke" I said gripping my fist angrily, as I began feeling exactly like a protective older brother to Kasumi after all I was adopted by her family and I had to protect her "I won't let you capture my sister! Just so you can use her without her say in it."

Aang turned to me "Lance has a plan that's risky. Go to him and he'll explain it."

I nodded "Alright, but what about you?"

"I'll do what I can to be in your place in helping Kasumi train" Aang answered me.

"Careful" I warned "She's trying to master a new form of Fang-Over-Fang, so I'll see what Lance is up to!"

Aang tore off in the direction of where my sister and Kakashi-Sensei were training in. Once gone I head back to the camp. All remaining eyes turned to me with Sokka pointing out "Oh here comes Naruto!"

"I can't believe it's finally came down to this" Katara muttered "I'd hate to think on the outcome if he fails."

I heard this and berated the Water Bender "WHO SAYS I'LL FAIL?! I know what has happened to poor Hanabi and Toph! Then what could happen to Haku!" I pause looking at Hanabi and Toph's bodies letting their image seep into my mind and the image of my sister going after Sasuke and Azula only to be captured and used...I couldn't let that happen, not one bit "And for once, I'm going to be taking this seriously. My sister's freedom and life is at stake here!"

I felt Hanabi's and Toph's hands with my own "And I'll make Sasuke pay for doing what he's done to them...Then possibly on what he will do with Haku. Believe it. For my sister's sake, I will get Sasuke for this."

Lance turned to me "Then I suppose you're willing to hear us out."

"I am!" I said "Aang said you have a plan to stop Sasuke?"

Lance agreed "Yes, are you ready to hear it?"

"You bet!"

Lance began outlining his plan "Where I'm pretty sure Haku has a strong chance at beating Sasuke, it's best to prepare on the what if he doesn't."

"Agreed" I said "We know his soul will be stolen."

Lance nodded "Indeed, so here we go. I'm not sure how long it'll be before Lady Kasumi suspects something with Aang subbing for you in her training, but it's best we do it this way. We have a good idea Sasuke is aiming for her and possibly Aang."

Looking back at the soulless bodies I had to agree deep down "Right."

Lance turned to me "Then if Sasuke is wanting Lady Kasumi...We're going to give him her!"

I growled raising a fist at this idea "Like hell no! I would never let my sister wander into a trap trying to save her friends!"

Lance held up his hands to calm me down "Easy Naruto. Hear me out more."

I watch then agree silently as Lance continued his explanation "True we are going to give him Lady Kasumi...but it won't be the real Lady Kasumi..." he smiled at me "If you catch my drift."

I now understood him "I do indeed! We play the deceiving game for once!"

Lance nodded "Now you're getting it! And I can't think of any other person to pretend to be Lady Kasumi than you Naruto."

I gave out a foxy grin "You mean like this?" I press my hands together "Transformation Jutsu!"

With this I transformed into my sister.

Lance nodded "Exactly. If Sasuke wants Lady Kasumi, well we'll give him her...Only it'll be you."

Sokka turned to me "And it'll be up to you to Duel Sasuke to save the trapped souls."

I understood the mission "Consider that done! I'll beat Sasuke and save everyone's souls he's stolen, but I gotta admit this when Lady Kasumi gets done with her training she's bound to see Hanabi, Toph and maybe Haku's soulless bodies...And get ready to move on."

"Which is why you must begin tailing Haku" Lance told me "That way Sasuke can stay in place or at least see you and think it's Lady Kasumi herself watching."

I agreed "Right, then I'll Duel him..." I smirked "and the best thing about dueling is...Once it begins one can't call it off, so once I start Dueling him and he realizes my deck isn't what my sister uses. It'll be too late."

"Exactly" Lance said "Plus by then the real Lady Kasumi would be on her way towards the area Sasuke and Azula are hiding...Adding into the confusion."

I nodded summoning two Shadow Clones of me and using my transformation Jutsu to turn those two clones into Takara and Snowflake. If I was going to play the part as my sister, I might as well try to have Takara and Snowflake with me too. Once then I take off following Haku's trail.

Iruka heard the conversation and was the last one I heard "This is a big gamble you're making Lance."

"It is" Lance agreed "But I'd rather we buy Lady Kasumi time to think before we fall for Sasuke's trap."

Iruka-Sensei agreed "Agreed."

Sasuke's POV

I was back at base camp with two soul cards. Hanabi and Toph were out of the picture. Those two seemed to be the easiest to take out. My newest threat was ether Lance or Haku. I decided it should be Haku that would take the fall next as he was closer to the Lady Signer than Lance was at this point. One more soul that was stolen should be enough for even Lady Kasumi to flip. Deep down though I had a feeling Haku knew what was going on and by this point Aang would've told them I was the one responsible for taking Hanabi and Toph's souls. I grinned at the thought, no matter what, no matter how hard Haku and the rest hid Hanabi and Toph's soulless bodies from Lady Kasumi, oh she'd find them, and then rush to me. At the moment I was checking to make sure if traps were being made in the area.

Princess Azula turned to me "How much longer will it take before the Lady Signer falls for the trap?"

I answered her "She hasn't noticed them yet."

"How come?" Tai-Lee asked me.

I answered sighing "Haku once again isn't brainless. Once the Avatar gets back to his camp, I'm sure Haku's trying to hide Hanabi and Toph's bodies, but, I'm sure the Lady Signer will discover them in time and once this third soul is stolen...Well she'll be flipping mad enough to fall into our trap."

Princess Azula grinned "Good! We'll-" Thunk! A needle struck her in the neck.

Azula nearly fell to the ground slain instantly. Somehow however, she managed to live as she looked weakly in the direction of where the needle came from. I followed her gaze seeing Haku and grinned "I see someone followed."

Haku was holding up more needles and I could tell by the looks of his eyes he was serious. Tai-Lee and Mai attempt to face off against him but Haku had vanished only to use an ice mirror to disappear and reappear behind their backs before kicking them. The two fall but Haku quickly rushes towards them and made hand signs as there was a puddle of water underneath the two fighters Azula had with her. Azula watches as the two girls she had with her clashed fists with Haku speaking out "Secret Ice Move, Thousand Needles of Death!"

He stomped on a puddle which turned into ice needles which strike Azula's two friends nearly killing them on impact. The two were impaled in lots of places and most likely had they been anyone else, they would've died. Amazingly they lay on the ground near death but alive. With those two out of the way Haku turned his attention towards me and Azula "You two are the only ones left."

Azula grinned "I was hoping the Lady Signer fell for our trap not just her bodyguard."

Haku eyes her "Yes, I am the Lady Signer's bodyguard! Sworn to protect her from any threat...And Sasuke you are a major threat towards her. One I must eliminate."

I smirked "I seem to remember being able to match you blow for blow last time. Except for when you trapped me in those Crystal Ice Mirrors...But" I activate my Sharringan "But mark my words, those won't work on me twice."

Azula tries to escape to sound the alarm but Haku Water Bends a stream of Water freezing her solid "You won't be sounding the alarm Princess..."

She glared angrily at him.

I turned to face Haku holding up Hanabi and Toph's soul cards "Recognize these?"

"You will give those souls back" Haku told me.

I smirked at Haku "Only if you can beat me in a Duel. I still have an agenda to do, and capturing both the Avatar and the Lady Signer is on it. Once I have your soul...Oh the Lady Signer will come."

"You bet" Haku told me "But as her bodyguard, I won't let that happen."

I stood looking at Haku smirking "You won't let that happen? Haku, first Zabuza is whom you followed loyally too and now Lady Kasumi. You should be loyal to yourself only and friends the next best thing. The Lady Signer is all I need to restore my clan."

Haku held his position only shifting to grab more needles "There are plenty of fish in the sea Sasuke! Lady Kasumi will never be yours!"

"If you are trying to say plenty of girls to go around" I told him "That's merely an inconvenience. The girl I will restore my clan with must be a strong woman...Right now I'm sure that's Lady Kasumi. Those Psychic Powers of hers will benefit my clan."

"Just because she has them doesn't mean your offspring will" I told him "It was probably by chance Lady Kasumi received her psychic powers from her mother Aki-Sensei. She could've had Lord Yusei's Calm Mind ability instead."

I reached for my Duel Disk "Perhaps you speak the truth but she will be mine."

Haku brought out his Duel Disk as well "I will not let that happen! It's time to show you how serious I can be when it comes to my duty."

"One that's going to lead you to your demise" I told him.

The two of us activate our Duel Disks, draw our top five cards, then shout "DUEL!"

Haku's Life Points: 4000

My Life Points: 4000

The two of us look at each other readying ourselves for Dueling.

Shorter than most of my chapters, I know, but instead of going over the word limit for this chapter, I'll give off the entire duel scene next chapter. Next chapter is Chapter 61: Dueling Vengeance P5: Haku and Sasuke square off in a Duel where only one of them will prevail, meanwhile Naruto gets closer to the camp and Snowflake finally completes her Tundra Fang over Fang.

A/N Also, to Dragonknight 15, there will be no Guardian Digimon updated tomorrow, as I need more time to think of what decks Mieko and Jack have. I am blaming Dueling Book for this delay as I need time to think on the decks and when it was down I couldn't think of any deck or check any cards.

To other readers Each of my fanfics are updated every two weeks, this week it is ether Kasumi and the Avatar and Guardian Digimon Book 2. The next week after though it'll be Shooting Star Warrior Pegasus and Legend of Kaze, the Wind Master.
