Emily took a deep-breath putting on her waitress uniform along with her roller-blades which were part of it as she felt her heart pound with anxiety in case patrons would be mean to her or her boss, the owner of thediner docked her pay knowing like her dad told her to just do her best lookijg at herself in the mirror as she looked cute wishing her parents could see her, or make her feel better when she messed up or tripped over her roller-bladed paws spilling food and drinks over patrons which made her quiet.

"Hey, Raccoon, your shift's starting." she heard a fellow waitress say, making her sigh.

"It's Emily, or Emmy." she mumbled to herself softly getting out there, doing well until she saw a family of a mom, dad and a little kid which made her think of her with her parents making her side-tracked but spilt after being jolted using her webs to catch things before anybody got upset hearing the girl clap her little hands in delight at that.

"Again, do it again, please." she said making Emily smile at this seeing her boss there making her gulp, seeing the girl's parents giving her tips thanking them as they left only some of the other waitresses glared at her which made her frown going into the break-room sighing in relief that things had went well, feeling tears sting her eyes as she missed her parents wiping them away hearing the door open seeing one of the waitresses looking at her noticing she was shy, wondering what Rocket's daughter was doing working at somewhere like this.

"I have no choice as I need momey, plus my dad doesn't know I'm here." Emilysaid softly not giving her eye contact.

Emily began to stir from sleeping, remembering she'd been thinking about the diner which she hadn't told her parents abojt as it might bother them plus she had her waitress uniform with roller-blades with her and hid them in her closet hoping nobody in her family knew taking deep-breaths hearing her dad calling her, seeing him wearing a shirt with a pizza pattern over it making her smile because it sas cute seeing Gamora and Shocket agreeing with her, saying it was Pizza Night hearing him giggling but blushing which Gamora understood like in bed when they cuddled which she found adorable reassuring him it was alright to be hugged by those you love realising something, Emily was a vegetarian which she hadn't told Shocket in case she made fun of her.g

"Don't worry homey, I'll get you veggie pizza." Rocket whispered to her making her smile making Shocket confused by what they were talking about making Emily quiet which he and Gamora understood as it was Emily's choice to reveal this seeing their lil green-bean relieved about this anxiety playing with RJ, hearing him giggling which made him and Gamora smile, recording as it was sweet letting Shocket make up her mind about Emily.

"You sure she's not a Skrull." Shocket asked them.

"No she's not, we went through this eariler." Rocket answered
