Chapter 74: Haku vs. Zabuza

Disclaimer: I do not own Avatar the Last Air Bender or Naruto, I do own Kasumi and her deck which is based off of Fire Emblem female characters.

Wish I could say things were going according to plan. Sure, it was thanks to Vixen Mode that I Aang and I were able to turn the tide against Princess Azula and Sasuke, but the victory was bittersweet at best. Zabuza had returned this time used to lure me to Princess Azula and Sasuke's location. It had worked as all of us had no idea he had returned, until Orochimaru put his plan into action. It was getting late at night and I sat down wondering what was in our future. With Zabuza back there was no telling what was going to happen. There was one thing in my mind that I knew would happen, and that was if the Fire Lord paid Zabuza to assassinate Aang, there was no doubt in my mind that Zabuza would take the job up. Sure Aang had me, Haku, Hanabi, Naruto, Iruka-Sensei, and Kakashi-Papa around but if I knew anything about Zabuza, it was that you NEVER knew where he'd be and with his Hidden Mist Jutsu you could never pinpoint where he was. Haku was with me and Hanabi Hyugga as we tried to figure out what Orochimaru's next move would be.

"We know Orochimaru's after you Lady Kasumi" Haku told me "Question is to what length will go go through knowing you have Vixen Mode now?"

"I suppose he'd have to trend carefully" I admitted wondering "One can never be too sure on what that man wants."

Hanabi agreed "Knowing you have Vixen Mode is bound to get him to want you even further, such power is what he desires."

"Then there's the matter with Zabuza" Haku admitted "Zabuza maybe willing to take orders from Orochimaru, but at the same time, he's Zabuza, he won't take Orochimaru's orders for long...And Lady Kasumi...Rest assured he's coming after you."

I frowned hearing this as Haku continued "He may not want you as much as Orochimaru does but, I know for a fact he'll come after you to draw me to him."

"And in her condition" Hanabi said looking at my bleeding chest still "She's in no shape to fight."

"Exactly" Haku admitted.

I checked myself over, they were right I was in no condition to fight if Zabuza would return and deep down I had a feeling he would. A single thought came into my mind, it was a suicidal thought but if we could lure Zabuza into a trap then perhaps we could control something. Haku notices me in deep thought and I was sure he didn't like what I was thinking of "Lady Kasumi...Are you thinking what I think you are thinking?!"

I looked at him "If you are thinking on the track I allow myself to get kidnapped by him, yes."

This even took Hanabi for a loop "YOU'LL LET HIM KIDNAP YOU?!"

I moved a finger underneath my lips for them both to be silent as I outlined my plan "Haku you told me Zabuza wants to Duel you when you encounter him once more right?!"

"Yes" Haku said in matter of fact voice.

"Since we know he's coming once more" I said outlining my plan "Why not let him kidnap me? That way when he makes his move to capture me and grabs me, you and Hanabi could track him down in secret and most likely he'll have his duel with Haku."

Haku thought about it "I suppose that's the better plan, than just him wandering into our camp without any of us knowing and kidnap Lady Kasumi that way. It's risky though Lady Kasumi. He may just try to kill you than just kidnap you."

"But not if he wants to lure you to him, so in which case he'll need Lady Kasumi alive!" Hanabi said in an understanding tone "Now admititngly if Haku loses his Duel with Zabuza then perhaps Lady Kasumi will die then, but I don't see how he benefits just killing her off immediately. If Zabuza is going to break with Orochimaru he'll use Lady Kasumi to his own benefits and we could use that against him."

Haku shook his head yes "Still it's risky, but at the same time if Zabuza decides to kidnap Lady Kasumi...He's got the tools and abilities needed to do so. I agree that it's better than being caught unaware of his approach, better to track him down immediately than coming for Lady Kasumi immediately where he has the advantage or hostage for a longer period of time than he will."

"Exactly" I whispered "So are you two in?"

Hanabi was a bit worried for me but she shook her head "I'm always willing to follow through with one of your plans Lady Kasumi. I'm in, but be careful once he captures you."

Haku took his time but then shook his head yes "I'm in too, but shouldn't Naruto, Iruka-Sensei and Kakashi-Sensei be informed?"

I had a feeling Kakashi-Papa already knew and this was confirmed with him appearing right next to the three of us giving us a scare of a lifetime as neither of us expected this, this was on par of him appearing to Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke when he was going to allow them to try his bell test again "Oh I already am!"

He then looked at me knowing that the plan I had was risky "I admit that this plan of yours Kasumi is a risky one but it's a far better plan than Zabuza as Haku stated twice in this meeting of yours than just him bursting into camp capturing you quickly and holding you for a longer time. Best that we are aware that he does it and the three of you can respond."

He then looked thoughtful as he admitted in a semi-playful but still serious tone "After all all the best plans have their risks. If this works out, it's certainly so that Zabuza won't be around for much longer!"

"So you approve Kakashi-Sensei?" Haku inquired.

"I do" Kakashi-Papa said "Kasumi is looking out for the whole group. Lance, Toph, Sokka, Aang, and Katara are no match to Zabuza at all, if he would attack off the blue to capture Lady Kasumi when our guard is down which many of them do have their guard down."

As he is saying this, Haku, Hanabi and I watched as Sokka seemed to stretch in a sleeping bag ready for the night as if there was no attack coming at night. Not very Sokka like but with us ninja he had grown a bit sloppy when it came to being wary. He certainly had a point on that one. Kakashi-Papa spoke "Kasumi, this plan of yours is very risky but it's needed to be done. I shall assist you and your three friends on this plan."

"Thank you Kakashi-papa" I said to him.

"But again what about Naruto, and Iruka-Sensei?" Hanabi asked.

"They will have to guard the camp" Kakashi-Papa and I said "After all this side mission is top secret, only between the four of us."

Kakashi-Papa explained more "After all our priority is protecting Aang and we can't all go to stop Zabuza if he decides to go rouge on Lord Orochimaru and the Fire Nation. Best if the four of us handle the situation."

Hanabi shook her head yes "Alright then. Lady Kasumi, keep your Psychic Powers in their Prime State ready to go and I'll have my Byucagan ready to go!"

The four of us crossed hands shaking each other's hands in this secret meeting. We had a plan to take down Zabuza hopefully everything worked in our favor.

Zabuza's POV

What a disgrace! Orochimaru made a deal with Hades bringing me back from the dead only to be forced into a retreat against the Lady Signer's new form Vixen Mode. The battle between me, Kakashi, and the traitorous Haku was called off just because of that! Honestly I worked for a lesser being before Orochimaru and even he never called off missions he gave to his assassins. Right now Sasuke and Princess Azula were still beaten unconscious, they had lost their battle in defeating the Lady Signer and to capture the Avatar. If it were me in charge, consider those two dead! I've made my decision, no more will I serve such a being that retreated when things got nasty, a true ninja like myself never retreats until he or she got the job done no matter what outcome! No one, and I mean no one will use me like a pawn! Too make it worse Orochimaru still couldn't use his hands thanks to the Third Hokage taking those away!

Fire Nation soldiers attempted to keep me on their side but I wouldn't have it, using my huge sword, I cut them all down. Their screams were sounds of joy to my ears as I cut down Fire Nation Soldiers, Fire Benders, and even other Sound Ninja with ease. At this point Princess Azula was coming around with her three friends.

"What is the meaning of this Zabuza?!" Princess Azula demanded "Orochimaru brought you back to serve us! Not to destro-"

WHAM! My sword nearly struck her neck and her eyes were wide with fright "I TAKE ORDERS FROM NO ONE PRINCESS! ESPECIALLY FROM WEAK BEINGS LIKE YOU!"

"WEAK BEINGS?!" the Princess shouted but she couldn't say much more thanks to my sword still at her neck.

"You are a weak being Princess" I scolded her "The Lady Signer could beat you forever now due to her Vixen Mode. Plus Lord Orochimaru is also weak due to his inability to use his arms. I refuse to take orders from the two of you!"

"HE BROUGHT YOU BACK!" she snapped "You should be loyal not disloyal to him!"

"Oh please like you care about loyalty Princess, knowing your kind you'd stab someone in the back if they weren't looking" I told her "Now I take my leave! I have some unfinished business I need to deal with!"

She tried calling the guards but I looked at her not going to give her time to call them "Water Style, Water Prison Jutsu!"

With this I cast a Water Prison around the Princess and her so called friends, now unlike Kakashi, I was intending to drown them all. The water drowned out their screams for help, now even when the Princess attempted to free herself with Fire Bending the water in my Water Prison extinguished the fire with ease. Knowing they were at my mercy Princess Azula's friends submitted to their fate, while Princess Azula growled not liking that she was easily beaten as I mocked her "You thought you could control me? The Demon Ninja of the Mist?! Yeah right."

She gasps for breathe as her friends lost consciousness. I released them but not the Princess as I eyed her an evil smirk on my face as I realized that she could be of use to me. She gulped as I spoke to her "I wonder how much your daddy the Fire Lord would pay for your release?"

She gasps realizing what I had planned for her, she was a hostage for ransom. She spoke "My dad is the Fire Lord! He'll get me back one way or another!"

There was a gleam coming from my eye "Counting on him too! I want him to pay for your release and he'd better pay a huge amount of money for your release. Or consider yourself one dead Princess. Or if comes for a fight to release you I'll kill him too, even he is no match to the Demon Ninja of the Hidden Mist."

She gulped as I released her gagging her then with one swipe of my sword she was naked as I tied her up "Now we leave!"

With that said I took her away from her camp with no survivors left at camp. Orochimaru wasn't around like I would've cared anyway so I had gotten away with my captive.

I took my captive with me to a cave where a steady stream of water was outside and retied her to the wall of the cave. Her eyes widened as she realized I wasn't playing around. With her mouth gagged all she could do was muffled sounds. I looked at her "Time for me to get even with Haku. You just stay there Princess, I've gotta another captive to capture…"

I saw her eyes raise in question as I smirked "That's right the Lady Signer is going to be captured"

With that said I disappeared into the night.

Kasumi's POV

It was still late at night, and Hanabi whom had been sent scouting in secret had returned. Naruto, Iruka-Sensei, Jirayia, Lance, Toph were asleep while Katara and Sokka were awake still but failing to stay awake. Once even those two were asleep, Hanabi entered the camp. The Fire Nation and Sound Ninja weren't too far away at least if you were a shinobi so, I had sent Hanabi as a scout to see if there was anything she could report. Upon her arrival she jumped down noiselessly from the tree limb.

"Anything to report?" I whispered to her.

"It's as Haku said during our earlier meeting" she admitted "Zabuza has betrayed the Fire Nation and Sound Ninja! He deserted them but not doing heavy damage to their soldiers and sound ninja in fact they are deputed so much there were no survivors-"

"That is so Zabuza! Only he would be so bold to take out an entire camp of what was supposed to be his own allies." Haku admitted.

"Only three survivors" Hanabi reported "Princess Azula's three friends which Zabuza spared but they are unconscious."

"And Azula?" Kakashi-Papa inquired "Is she dead?"

Hanabi looked at me "He's taken her hostage!"

I frowned now if it were just me captured by Zabuza as planned that would be one thing but it seemed that I was going to share captive time with my enemy. On the flip side if I wanted to I could end up killing her. Hanabi finished her report "Not sure where Zabuza went afterward but I'm pretty sure he's coming for you Lady Kasumi."

Snowflake and Takara were at my side sensing what was going on without me telling them the plan. I pet their heads "Alright then. Let him come and get me as planned, then once he does capture me, follow suit."

I pet my two Vulpix's heads "As for you two, I know you are both trained to smell out enemies, but I need you two to stay silent. No matter if you smell him stay silent. If something grabs me don't attack or bark, allow him to take me! Stay with Haku, Hanabi and Kakashi-Papa!"

The two Vulpixes looked confused but they nodded their heads "Vulpix!"

With this said Haku, Hanabi, Kakashi-papa, with my two pets left me alone stealthily hiding behind anything they could to hide their presence and make it appear I was alone, a perfect target for my captor. True to Hanabi's words I wouldn't have to wait long for five minutes later mist appeared over the sight. I had my Psychic Powers in their Prime state but only to see where Zabuza was coming from. Soon enough Zabuza dropped down noiselessly as I pretended not to notice him but he came from behind me and tripped me causing me to fall face first into the ground, okay that hurt! As I felt myself losing consciousness, I saw him grab hold of me holding me over his shoulder even tying me up and gagging me "Not so much of a ninja are you Lady Signer? Oh well, time to go."

As he took me I hid a small smile as he fell for it! He would take me to the cave and retied me to a wall next to Princess Azula whose face was full of confusion like how was I captured! I ignored her as Zabuza then put his huge sword at my neck "Better hope Haku comes for you Lady Signer because I don't hold captives like you for long."

Despite having a huge sword at my throat, I was calm about it. Now if Zabuza had done this to me and I wasn't aware, I'd be terrified but so far it was all going according to plan. We wouldn't have to wait long about five to ten minutes we heard barking from Takara and Snowflake. Azula, and I turned our heads to see my two pets arriving barking.

"Wasn't expecting a fast response" Zabuza admitted seeing my two pets "It seems that they know where you are Lady Kasumi."

I kept my silence a small smile still on my face with Azula still confused but then she got it! She gasped at how cunning I was, I allowed him to capture me! I could see her shaking with new founded fear that I would allow someone like Zabuza to kidnap me. Zabuza attempted to kill Takara and Snowflake when Kakashi-Papa's kunai clashed against Zabuza's sword with Kakashi-Papa appearing with his Sharrigan activate "Kakashi!"

"Well now" Kakashi-Papa spoke in a confident tone "Looks like you fell for it Zabuza."

"What?!" Zabuza inquired.

Haku and Hanabi appeared at his side with Haku whipping out three needles and hurled them at me. One of the needles hit my gag freeing my mouth from it, then the other two hit the ropes that had me tied up. Zabuza turned as I looked at him "Did you think I'd let you capture me so easily like that?"

"You knew I was coming?!"

I nodded "Du'h, and it was to draw Haku out to Duel him right?!'

Zabuza looked at me, now even though I couldn't see him smile I knew he was underneath his mask "How clever of you Lady Kasumi."

Haku looked at Zabuza "You can keep Princess Azula if you want Zabuza, in fact you'd do us one good thing by killing her!"

Zabuza agreed "I could, considering you are enemies to her, but she's better use to be for ransom or to lure her father out so I can kill him...Whatever comes first."

Haku agreed "True, and none of this surprises me, you'd use anything to get your goals Zabuza."
"Indeed" Zabuza said "That fool Orochimaru was using me like a pawn! I'm no mere pawn! Haku, it's time to settle the score!"

Haku agreed as both prepared to activate their Duel Disks with Hanabi warning me "It's best not to come to our side yet Lady Kasumi! Zabuza could still decide to kill you."

"I could" Zabuza admitted "But we'll see what comes when we start our Duel! Oh, and Haku, why don't we make this a Shadow Duel?!"

Haku frowned at this trust Zabuza to want to duel where Life and Death were the victor "Doesn't surprise me that you'd favor that Zabuza, but you don't have anything that could unleash Shadow Duels."

Zabuza spoke as an eerie mist appeared in the cave as if he had used Hidden Mist Jutsu but it was dark color and felt evil "Oh I do now! I've enhanced my Mist with darkness to be able to unleash a Shadow Duel whenever I want!"

"Fine" Haku said realizing this was the only way to take Zabuza out.

Once this was agreed to, the Duel Disks fully activate, both two Duelist drew their top five Cards, then shout "DUEL!"

Haku's Life Points: 4000

Zabuza's Life Points: 4000

"I'll start us off Haku" Zabuza said "It's my move, I draw!"

He drew his card "For my first move, I'll set one Monster in defense mode, and then I'll set one card face-down and end my turn."

On Zabuza's side of the field, a Monster was placed face-down on the field then a spell or Trap Card was placed face-down

"It's my move then" Haku announced "I draw!"

He drew his card "First of all, I'll start by Special Summoning Unknown Synchron from my hand!"

Unknown Synchron appeared on Haku's side of the field ATK: 0

"I can special Summon Unknown Synchron when my opponent has a Monster on the field and I don't!" Haku said.

"Then I'll summon Resurrecting Snowman to the field in attack mode!"

A snowman monster appeared on the field ATK: 1500

"Next" Haku announced "I'm going to tune my level 1 Unknown Synchron with my level 4 Resurrecting Snowman!"

Unknown Synchron split into one ring as it scanned Haku's Monster with Haku shouting out "I synchro Summon...Ally of Justice Catastor!"

Out of a flash of white light Ally of Justice Catastor appeared on the field ATK: 2200

"Now" Haku announced "Battle! Ally of Justice Catastor, attack Zabuza's face-down Monster! Justice Annilhator!"

Haku's Synchro Monster shot out a burst of light from it's eye which strikes Zabuza's Monster which turned out to be a small ship.

"That was...Yomi Ship!" I gasped out.

The ship was destroyed as Zabuza spoke "Why thank you for falling for that trap Haku, for as your Lady Signer said the monster you destroyed was Yomi Ship! When it's destroyed by battle I can select and destroy one Monster on your side of the field and I choose your Ally of Justice Catastor!"

Not only did Zabuza's Monster get destroyed but upon Yomi Ship's destruction, Haku's Monster was also destroyed.

"CATASTOR!" Haku shouts "NOT YOU SO EARLY!"

Haku frowned not expecting that move from Zabuza, clearly Zabuza wasn't a duelist himself but yet Zabuza had outplayed Haku on that opening move.

Haku kept his cool though sure he was outplayed on Zabuza's opening move but there was still time to continue this duel "Turn end."

"It's my move" Zabuza announced "I draw!"
He drew his card "I activate my Trap Card, Level Convesion Lab!"

Zabuza's face-down card activated showing a lab "Now Haku, I get to select one Monster in my hand, then I get to roll a six sided die, then the amont I roll is subtracted to that Monster's level!"

With that said Zabuza rolled a four!

"Perfect! Now that I've rolled a four" Zabuza announced " Now I can Summon my Mega Fortress Whale!"

Mega Fortress Whale appeared on Zabuza's side of the field ATK: 2700

This nearly looked like the Orch whale Monster but it was different.

"Now" Zabuza announced "You are wide opened Haku...Mega Fortress Whale attack Haku directly!"

Mega Fortress Whale took aim and fired at Haku. My eyes widened fearful for once, clearly Zabuza wasn't a pushover at all. He dealt with Catastor so easily thanks to his Yomi Ship play only to be able to easily summon a Level 7 Monster like Mega Fortress Whale!

It was then Haku spoke "I activate Resurrecting Snowman's effect from the Graveyard, if it's in my Graveyard during my opponent's Battle Phase or my own Stand-By Phase, I get to Special Summon him back from the Graveyard in defense mode! Resurrecting Ice Storm!"

A blizzard appeared in one of Haku's Monster zones as Resurrecting Snowman reappeared on Haku's side of the field but in defense mode DEF: 2000

Instead of Zabuza's attack hitting Haku's Life Points it hit Resurrecting Snowman destroying it.

"Survived I see" Zabuza said amazed that Haku managed to survive the attack "Thanks to your snowman's effect but no matter, even that won't save you in the end."

Haku chuckled "Oh I beg to differ!"

"What?!" Zabuza demanded.

Haku spoke "Check out your Mega Fortress Whale now!"

Zabuza turned seeing the whale beginning to freeze "WHAT GIVES?!"

"Resurrecting Snowman's second effect" Haku said "If it's destroyed by Battle, it freezes the attacking monster, meaning until I destroy it, that monster can't ever attack again nor can it change battle positions!

"Impressive monster" Hanabi admitted at Haku's snowman monster. I shouldn't have been impressed at Haku's play, but he never ceased to amaze me! Haku's dueling skills were on par of any other Duelist my age or his age. I should've known Haku to have a card in his deck that had a dangerous effect, Reurrecting Snowman was a GOOD card. Sure it only had 1500 attack points and 2000 defense points, but it's sheer effects to resummon itself and freeze the opponents monster that destroyed it was a good card. Sure it could only do that to one opponents Monster per turn but still this meant Haku could counter high powered monster threats.

"Good move" I admitted after realizing how good Haku's Monster was. Basically Resurrecting Snowman was a Monster version of Spell Binding Circle.

"That was a good move" Zabuza admitted "But good luck finding a Monster over it's attack! With that I end my turn!"

"We'll see now won't we?" Haku asked "It's my move I draw!"

He drew his card as he hit his stand-by Phase "First as it's my Stand-by Phase, my Resurrecting Snowman returns from the Graveyard once more in defense mode!"

On Haku's side of the field Resurrecting Snowman returned once more in defense mode DEF: 2000

Haku looked at Mega Fortress Whale "I'm going to take that thing out before it has a chance to do anything."

"We'll see" Zabuza taunted "Like what do you have in mind?!"

Haku answered "You'll see Zabuza. You'll see well enough!"

He went for his move "I'll activate the Spell Card Polymerization!"

He choose his monsters "With it I'll fuse the Cyber Dragon in my hand with Resurrecting Snowman, on the field!"

The two Monsters began to fuse with Haku announcing "I fusion summon, Cyber Blizzard Samurai!"

Cyber Blizzard Samurai appeared on Haku's side of the field ATK: 2500

Zabuza looked at Haku's Cyber Blizzard Samurai "Impressive, you have your own Fusion Monster but yet it falls short compared to my Mega Fotress Whale!"

"Indeed" Haku announced "And I'll activate it's special ability, Once per turn by sending one card from my hand to the Graveyard, I can have Cyber Blizzard Samurai destroy all cards on my opponents side of the field that match the sent card!"

He then selected a card from his hand "And the card I sent is a Monster! Which means Zabuza all Monsters you have on the field are automatically destroyed and you receive 500 points of damage for each card destroyed!"

Zabuza gasped "WHAT?!"

"Watch and learn!" Haku said nodding towards Cyber Blizzard Samurai "Cyber Blizzard Samurai, unleash your Cyber Blizzard!"

Cyber Blizzard Samurai's sword sent out a powerful blizzard attack at Zabuza's Mega Fortress Whale and destroyed it.

"And now" Haku said "You're the one wide opened Zabuza...Cyber Blizzard Samurai, attack Zabuza Directly, Cyber Blizzard Slash!"

Cyber Blizzard Samurai took aim and slashed out at Zabuza with it's sword. The weapon connects slicing Zabuza and striking him directly. An explosion was seen once the attack connected and Zabuza was kneeling injured by the attack.

Zabuza's Life Points: 1000

He smirks coughing up blood "You're a remarkable kid Haku. That move of yours was brilliant!"

Haku watches Zabuza "Aki-Sensei was the one that taught me Dueling at Duel Academy, but it was you that showed me to be as brutal on the field to outthink your opponents even if it means Dueling or actually going into battle on the field. Only with you had I actually found a means of dueling better."

"I'm flattered that I was able to give you and teach you a new way of thinking while Dueling or on the battlefield, but the duel is still ongoing!"

"It is!" Haku admitted.

Zabuza began smirking "Thanks for dealing damage to me by the way Haku, for now that I've taken damage I can Special Summon Guardian Slime from my hand!"

Guardian Slime a Level 10 Monster appeared on Zabuza's side of the field DEF: 3000

Haku had a feeling what this meant but he was cool about it "Turn end."

"It's my move" Zabuza announced "I draw!"

He drew his card "I'll summon Ocean Ninja! In attack mode!"

a new water Monster appeared with Zabuza speaking out "Ocean Ninja is also treated as an Aqua Monster! And now, it's time Haku, I'll use Humanoid Slime's effect, by fusing it and an Aqua Monster I can fusion Summon without Polymerization!"

Haku watches as the two monsters began fusing together with Zabuza chanting out "Oh fiendish slime merge together to form an overpowered endity. Fusion Summon Level 10: Eygptian God Slime!"

Haku frowned now seeing Zabuza's new Monster was Eygptian god Slime!

"Now" Zabuza spoke "It's time for Battle! Eygptian God Slime attack Cyber Blizzar d Samurai! Slimy Titan Fury!"

Haku watches as Zabuza's Monster prepared to attack his Fusion Monster "Then I'll activate Cyber Blizzard Samurai's effect, once per turn he can't be destroyed by battle or card effects"

"Well, consider yourself fortunate then, because Ocean Ninja's other effect comes into play, you see when he is sent to the Graveyard for a Special Summon of any Water Attribute Monster, once per turn my Monster can make the targetted Monster's ATK go to zero until the end of the battle phase!"

"OH-NO!" Hanabi and I shout hearing that effect while watching a ghostly image of Ocean Ninja preform what would be known in our world as a jutsu from within Eygpitan God Slime!"

Haku watches this too not liking that "Just great..." 2500-0

"And there's more bad news" Zabuza said "Not only is your monster powerless but my attacking monster gains that Monster's Attack!"

I cringed at that comment watching the attack of Eygptian God Slime's attack almost doubles 3000-5500

"This duel is over!" Zabuza shouts watching as his Monster strikes Haku's across it's chest, sure thanks to Cyber Blizzard Samurai's effect it wasn't destroyed by battle but, Haku's Life Points were going to take an instant trip down to zero!

Haku spoke "I activate the effect of Ice Priestest from my Graveyard! An image of an chruch priestest out of ice appeared but she appeared as a ghost from Haku's Graveyard with Haku explaining "When I would take Life Point Damage that would leave my Life Points at zero from an attack or card effect, I can banish her from the Graveyard and gain the difference in our Monster's attack as Life Point recovery!"

Haku's Life Points rose by fifty-five hundred, just enough Life Points for Haku to be spared defeat this round 4000-9500

Even Zabuza was amazed at what he witnessed "I see so that was the Monster you sent with Cyber Blizzard Samurai's effect, pretty neat but regardless that didn't stop my attack!"

Haku grimanced as Egypitan God Slime's attack now was transferred over to his Life Points and another mighty explosion appeared as Haku took the damage Haku's Life Points: 4000

"You survived this round" Zabuza said cruely to Haku "But we'll see what you can do now that your Cyber Blizzard Samurai can't destroy my Monster with it's effect."

Haku had to admit Zabuza was tough be he wasn't going to give up as he stood up, first thing was first Epgitan God Slime had to go, with Ocean Ninja inside it, if he wasn't careful it would destroy him.

"It's my move!" Haku announced "I draw!"

He drew his card "Once again I activate Resurrecting Snowman's effect making him comeback from my Graveyard!"

Resurrecting Snowman appeared once more on Haku's side of the field DEF: 2000

He checked his hand needing to hold Zabuza off, "I'll set Cyber Blizzard Samurai into defense mode!"

Cyber Blizzard Samurai switched into defense mode DEF: 3000

He saw something that could help him "I summon Ice Synchron Tuner Monster!"

A new machine monster that appeared to be a mechanical Ice cube appeared ATK: 500

"Now" Haku announced "I'm going to tune my level 2 Ice Synchron with my Level four Resurrecting Snowman!"

Ice Synchron split into two rings as it scanned Resurrecting Snowman with Haku chanting out "Supreme Ice Guardian appear to defend your comrads with your ice cold magic! Freeze, Synchro Summon, Ice Golem!

A Golem made out of ice appeared in defense mode Def: 3000

"Impressive monster" Zabuza complimented "But it's not like you to harbor defensive Monsters Haku. Is all you had to destroy my monsters with cheep card effects? Well if so you'll have a hardrer time thanks to Egptian God Slime having Ocean Ninja as one of it's fusion Material Monsters!"

"We'll see now won't we?" Haku said "I'll set one card face-down and end my turn!"

"Oh we shall" Zabuza said "I draw!"

He checked his hand smirking "I activate Spell Card: Trick of the Mist!"

He spoke "Now I can special Summon a Monster from your Graveyard Haku and special Summon it onto your side of the field."

Haku was confused "What's the point of that?!"

Zabuza smirked "Cause once I do it you will then recieve damage to your Life Points equal to the Monster I've brought back! So I'll bring back your precious Ally of Justice Catastor!"

Ally of Justice Catastor reappeared on Haku's side of the field ATK: 2200

Then Haku cringes as dagger shaped mist dealt damage to him the total amount of attack Ally of Justice Catastor had.

Haku's Life Points: 1800

"What was the point of that?" Haku repeated his question "Sure you did damage to me Zabuza but you gave me my most terrifying Monster!"

"True" Zabuza said then he smirked "Because now I tend to destroy you right here and now Haku, I'll activate the effect of Egyptian God Slime, by sending it to the Graveyard, I can use it as a Tribute Summon of a level 10 Monster, and I'll choose to summon my Ultimate Monster, Godslayer, Demon of Destruction!

Egptian God Slime disappeared but in it's place was a huge demonic enity which would rival an Egptian God Card in terms of height and this just made me know things weren't all good if this happened. It litterally and nearly looked like an evil demonic version of Zabuza but more deadly and terrifying. As it was summoned it let out an unearthy demonic roar ATK:?

"Zabuza's ultimate Monster!" Hanabi shouts.

"What a beast" Kakashi-Papa admitted.

"What's with it's attack?" I asked.

Zabuza answered "Now Haku, it's all going to according to plan for now once I've summoned Goldslayer Demon of Destruction, all Monsters on your side of the field have their effects negated while he unleashes his effect, he destroys all Monsters on your side of the field, for each Monster he destroys he gains the combined total Mosnter's attack points!"

Haku grimanced muttering "Of course! That's your motive! The More monsters I have the higher yoru Monster's ATK is!"

"I know!" Zabuza claimed "And the thing is there is nothing you can do to prevent my Monster's effect from working! It can't be stopped! So go Godslayer destroy all his Monsters with Godslaying Burst!"

A burst of demonic energies erupted as if it were shot out like a big bang, it engulfed all of Haku's Monsters destroying them then Godslayer's attack skyrocketted ?-7000

"Seven thousand attack points!" Haku, Hanabi, Kakashi-Papa and I shouted at the same time

"And now" Zabuza said with a smirk on his face, "Godslayer will attack you directly and end this duel!"

"Wrong again!" Haku said "I'll activate the effect of Resurrecting Snowman! Remember I can activate his effect Once per any Player's turn! During your Battle Phase Zabuza Resurrecting Snowman is summoned onto my side of the field in defense mode!"

Resurrecting Snowman appeared once more DEF: 2000

"Was counting on it!" Zabuza said "Because Godslayer can inflict piercing damage to my oppooent! So with that in mind it's over!"

Godslayer's huge sword strikes Haku's Monster destroying it but Haku's Life Points didn't change causing Zabuza to shout "WHAT GIVES?!"

Haku answered while now drawing his card "It's my Trap Card that saved me, Defense Draw!"

"Even such a powerful card is no match to that card" I sighed with relief.

"Even so" Zabuza said "There's one more thing Haku...And it's this, since he destroyed your Monster you will take damage equal to your Monster's attack points!"

Haku watches as another burst of energy strikes him dealing damage to him

Haku's Life Points: 300

I saw Princess Azula's eyes widened as she had the feeling Haku was going to lose the Duel. I could see her cursing at herself that out of all Duelist besides Sasuke that Zabuza would be that powerful.

Haku took his time getting up as Zabuza looked at him "Not looking too hot Haku!"

Haku looked at him "I might not look good Zabuza but I'm not done, not yet!"

"You will be next turn so I end my turn"

There was another blizzard coming on Haku's field causing Zabuza to speak "WHAT GIVES?!"

Haku answered "Ice Golem's effect is what gives Zabuza! When and any other card is destroyed by card effect, it special summons itself and all Monsters that were destroyed in the same state they were in before they were destroyed! Plus Resurrecting Snowman makes your Monster unable to attack on the following turn.

"Nuts!" Zabuza said watching this play but he was still confident "While My monster is a Dark Type, it's 7000 attack points are more than enough to overpower anything you have!"

Haku took his time to get up thinking Zabuza is right, if I don't get the right card this turn I lose for sure! He looks at Zabuza speaking out in a tone that Zabuza would respect him with and was going to say something Jaden Yuki would say to respect an opponent "You've dueled well Zabuza, but it's time to end this!"

"We shall see won't we?" Zabuza demanded.

"Indeed!" Haku said "It's my move I draw!"

He drew his card and while I was unable to see the spark, by Hanabi and Kakashi's eyes looking at each other I knew Haku had drawn his Titan Card. He saw it too and spoke "What do you know Zabuza? Fate of the Cards worked!"

"That lame mechanic?!" Zabuza demanded "Never have fate in anything Haku! I've told you that, if anything you should have fate in your own abilities not in some card!"

"You're going to regret disrespecting the King of Game's catch phrase" Haku warned "First I activate Resurrecting Snowman from my Graveyard!"

Resurrecting Snowman appeared on the field once more in defense mode DEF: 2000

"Next" Haku said "It's time! I tribute Ice Golem, Cyber Blizzard Samurai, and Resurrecting Snowman!"

"THREE WATER ATTRIBUTE MONSTERS?!" Zabuza demanded as he now knew "RATS! THAT MEANS!"

Haku nodded "I see Hades warned you that I have it! Come forward, Hydros, the Ice Titan!"

The gates of Tarterious appeared and a mighty titan fist shattered it, Ice formed as a huge ice Skeleton appeared on the field ATK: 4000

"Hydros" I muttered a faint smile on my face.

"At four thousand attack points" Zabuza warned Haku "Your Titan fails to defeat my Monster!"

Haku shook his head agreeing with him "That is true Zabuza."

Zabuza smirked but got worried when Haku smirked back "But attack points don't matter to Hydros!"

"WHAT?!"

Haku spoke "Let me show you what I mean! Battle! Hydros the Ice Titan, attack Godslayer, Demon of Destruction Icy Breathe!"

Hydros roared and gathered in an ice powered breathe attack and hurled it over Zabuza's field. The Ice attack strikes everywhere around Zabuza...Including freezing a naked Princess Azula which caused me to smile and giggle that served her right for what she was doing with the Fire Nation.

This isn't all it did, upon striking Godsalyer Demon of Destruction it shattered and Zabuza took five hundred points of damage "WHAT?!" Zabuza's Life Points: 500

Haku spoke "Hydros the Ice Titan's true deadly ability, when he attacks Zabuza all cards on my opponents side of the field are destroyed and my opponent takes 500 points of damage for each card destroyed.

Zabuza gasped as he was left defenseless once more and Haku spoke "How fitting that you brought back Ally of Justice Catastor only to destroy it again, then for it to resurrect thanks to Ice Golem's effect! Now it gets to finish you off Ally of Justice Catastor, end this Justice Annilhator!"

Ally of Justice Catastor lit up then fired it's attack at Zabuza whom tanked the attack thinking Gotta admit it, Haku won this duel. Just as I hoped he would in secret! Good job kid, you'll do me proud protecting Kasumi.

Zabuza's Life Points: 0

Haku's Life Points: 300

Haku had won his Duel against Zabuza. In the inside I was glad and proud of Haku being able to defeat him, at the same time Zabuza proved he wasn't a pushover even in a Duel. His cards were deadly especially his ace Godslayer, Demon of Destruction. Such a Monster I was certain would make Naruto think twice of how to beat it. Even I was thinking if my cards could beat it, well there was Boltose the one I made in the training Tag Duel I had against Aang and Naruto that one would beat it but that required a good amount of time to set up, plus three Light Attribute Monsters. As Zabuza lay dying once again Haku walked over to him "Zabuza..."

"Haku" Zabuza spoke "You've overcame me with the same deterimination as if you were on my side. I see that you meant well and that you truly did care about me in the end, yet you had your loyalty to Aki, the Lady Signer's mother that you had to forfill.

"Zabuza" Haku said looking at him tears in his eyes "I'm sorry I did that but under the circumstances I needed to."

"Which I see that now" Zabuza said looking at me "That girl is special Haku. Way more special than I could ever be. One that's truly determined to do the right thing...Heck she's truly worthy of my respect."

He now pauses looking at Kakashi-papa "It appears Kakashi, that we'll never see each other again, at least not any time soon."

Kakashi-Papa agreed "We'd better not, but if we must meet again let us not be on opposite sides then."

As he lay dying Zabuza smirked "That would be great if we ever did so again but you'll never know whom will command us, but we'll see now. Before I go...Haku..."

Haku turned "Yes?"

Zabuza reached out giving Haku Eyptian God Slime "From one Water based Duelist to another...Take this card, it should help you Summon Hydros even faster if you have the right conditions."

Haku took the fusion Monster and it's two Fusion Material Monsters seeing that Zabuza was right Epyptian God Slime was a Water Attriubte Monster so it would benefit summoning Hydros. With his eyes still in tears Haku bowed in respect to Zabuza "Thank you Zabuza. I'll see to it that it gets use in my deck. Siynara Zabuza."

With that said Zabuza died. Shortly after we all decided it was time to leave for camp. We would get to camp with amazingly no one having woken up and now had a good sleep.

Big chapter and Haku has beaten Zabuza in a duel, which was much closer than anyone can think. Anyway next chapter is Chapter 75: Demon Attack: A Powerful Demon has been summoned by Kabuto under Orochimaru's orders to attack Kasumi and her friends. Will Kasumi be able to overpower the demon or will a certain elven spellcaster save the day?
