Chapter 8: Epilogue

The Next Day

It was November 1st, the day after Halloween.

Everyone at Casper High was still talking about all the drama that unfolded at Michelle's Halloween party.

News about Colette making out with Mikey Baker at the party had spread throughout the school like wildfire...and the video of her vomiting over Paulina was going viral, almost as much as the video of Dash and the other jock's cheer routine.

No surprise, all of them did not come to school today due to "being sick", but Team Phantom knew that they probably made some flimsy excuses to their parents to avoid coming back to school as much as possible, due to the kind of humiliation they endured the previous night

"So nice and peaceful..."Star said, holding Danny's hand.

"You said it. If I knew an online video of those creeps doing something humiliating would make this happen, I would have gotten Tucker to do something a long time ago..."Danny said, smiling.

The happy couple was sitting under their favorite tree, enjoying the fact that all of the usual pests were not here today and probably won't be for a few more days, which is always a good thing in their books.

They saw Mikey walk past them and he STILL had all the kiss marks that Colette unintentionally left on him, bragging about it to his friends.

"I still can't believe you actually made out with her..."One nerd said in amazement and envy.

"Believe it, this stud got a lot of the beauty of true love from for the one and only Colette Bevier. It was awesome! I'm never going to wash this face again!..."Mikey said, wearing them like some badge of honor.

"It's like you've been kissed by a goddess of beauty..."His nerdy friend said in amazement, that Mikey made out with one of the hottest girls at school.

"Yep, I am worthy..."Mikey said, looking proud and grinning a mile wide but still wishing his "girlfriend" was here too.

Danny and Star saw this and rolled their eyes. Both his actions and his admission disappointed Star.

"He hasn't washed his face since yesterday? Gross!..."Star commented.

"Gross for hygiene reasons or gross because it means that he probably hasn't washed Colette's crud off him yet?..."Danny asked.

"Both..."Star said, irritated.

"Eh, let him enjoy himself...what happened yesterday is probably the most action he's gonna get in a while...even if it was by accident. Either way, HE'S not complaining..."Danny said, shrugging.

"Fine, only because he's showing off proof of the reason that pain in the butt isn't here at school today..."Star said, still glad that brat got royally humiliated last night.

"Speaking of which, any idea on how to make that a permanent arrangement? Or at least make it last until after graduation?..."Danny asked.

Star sighed.

"Unfortunately, Tucker couldn't find any video proof of Colette and her thugs actually doing what they did yesterday and everyone was so focused on the party, they didn't even notice those two..."Star muttered, hating this.

She had asked Tucker if he could hack and get a copy of a video of what Colette had tried to do, but unfortunately, it seems that shed of Michelle's is in a blind spot and they couldn't get footage of them trapping Danny there. Not to mention, there wouldn't be any footage in her bathroom, for obvious reasons, so she couldn't prove that Colette had locked her in the closet, or their violent fight with one another. Which for Star's case, might have been a good thing since she was the one who started it and did assault her.

Plus, she couldn't exactly tell anyone that the only reason Danny and she managed to escape was because of his powers, so there was some parts of the story that they had to omit to protect his secret, even if it meant losing an edge.

Still, Star did complain to her mom about the harassment, and all she did was ground Colette for about 2 weeks for "bothering her dear sister and her boyfriend again".

"Fat lot of good that's gonna do! Oh, well...at least we won't see her at school or in town for a while..."Star thought, satisfied with that and all the humiliation her arch-enemy faced yesterday as karma for her actions.

She did, however, tried to talk to her dad and as much as he hates Colette and believes her when she said that brat tried to bother her, since Colette is a minor and they have no physical proof that she that she did those incriminating acts since there was no camera and no names of who helped her, as well as the fact that she had to keep some parts of the story secret to protect Danny's secret, it made matters complicated and legally speaking, there is little that can be done without some hard evidence to back up those claims.

Legally speaking, there was little he could do without any evidence. However, it didn't stop him from giving an earful to Stella about her "precious stepdaughter" and the wealthy woman insisted that she would handle Colette and that she would be punished, hence her grounding.

"At least she's trying to discipline that brat! Too bad Colette is too rotten to actually learn her lesson. If only Mom could see that..."Star thought, rolling her eyes.

She would figure out how to deal with her arch-enemy some other time, right now she wanted to enjoy her time without her.

Meanwhile

As Danny and Star were fully enjoying their peacefully no-Colette time, the two jocks whom Colette had hired yesterday, who are no longer in costume, were in bad moods due to the events from last night.

"Yesterday was such a waste! Not only did we fail to pick up any hotties at Michelle's party, but I can't believe we lost a chance at 100 bucks. I was gonna buy a new skateboard and a triple cheesy melt at Nasty Burger with that cash. Way to go, Barry!..."The guy who had been in the gorilla costume said, blaming him.

"Me?! You're the one who grabbed that nerd and didn't even bother to see if it was the right guy, Brody!..."Barry, the one who had been in the T-Rex costume said, blaming him.

"You're the one who track of him the first time in the first place, Dude! It's your fault that we failed when he did his Houdini trick and made us look like chumps!..."Brody yelled, shifting the blame back to his fellow jock.

"What was that?!..."Barry yelled and the two wrestlers tackled each other and were now fighting.

As the two jocks blamed each other and kept fighting until a teacher spotted them and broke up the fight, giving the two boys detention and extra homework as punishment.

"This stinks!..."They both thought, mad and frustrated as they got punished by the teachers for fighting on school grounds.

Back with Danny and Star

The couple was still talking about what had happened last night and what to do with Colette, though they were at a loss at what to do without proof. Still, her absence today was relief enough.

"Despite what almost happened last night, I'm pretty thankful that we wont be dealing with that wicked queen for a while...even if it's temporary..."Danny said, just happy to have Star in his arms right now.

"I guess, but I still want that psycho pampered poodle to get a broken nose one of these days soon, ya know..."Star said, while her man tried to cheer her up.

"Cheer up, Starlight. We had fun at the party, got some major payback on Colette and won't see her at school for a while and we're even gonna get a break from her and her friends for a few days. In my book, that's a win..."Danny said, smiling.

Star smiled back at him and kissed him on the cheek.

"Yeah, it is..."She said leaning on him more.

"Even better, remember those costumes that Paulina and Colette were wearing?..."She asked.

"What about them?..."Danny asked and his girl laughed all of a sudden.

"What?..."He pressed on.

"It turns out that Paulina's costume cost over 5 grand and Colette's was over 12 grand, not counting that stupid crown she had made for herself..."She said, making Danny's jaw dropped.

"WHAT?! Are you serious? That's like the price of a CAR! Those two idiots spent THAT much on a costume they were probably only going to wear once?! Seriously?!..."He exclaimed, and his girl nodded.

"Yep, I only found out because Paulina tried to bill Colette for it and her parents found out. It seems that they both ordered those super expensive costumes using their credit cards, without asking their folks...and they weren't too happy once they saw the bill..."Star said, smirking.

"I'm surprise that those two hate each other so much, they are so alike..."Danny said.

"That's probably WHY they can't stand each other. Because they are both so spoiled, stuck-up and unpleasant to be around..."Star said.

"True..."Danny admitted. "So, what else happened?..."He asked.

"Their parents flipped out, even Jean-Puke did too. Even though they are rich and snobby, my mom even admitted that is too much money to use without even asking for permeation, much less for a silly Halloween costume that they only bought to show off. And because they both got puked on, they can't return it, so my mom says that they are gonna pay for it using their shopping budget for the next few weeks to pay it off. And it means Colette's getting 10% of her usual allowance for a while..."Star said.

"Which, to be fair, is still more than what an average teenager usually gets but she's so stuck-up, she won't be able to live with that amount of money due to her spending habits. Same with Paulina..."The blonde girl added, knowing that her step-sister and ex-friend are gonna be facing their own version of torture for a while, in addition to their humiliation online and at school.

"So stupid...but it serves them right..."Danny said.

"Yeah it does..."Star said, before smiling at him.

"Thanks again for what you did, pulling off that classic switcheroo trick and caused that incident. It really made my night..."She said, smiling at him.

"Hey, all I did was hide and not say anything when they got the wrong guy. Not my fault, it was Mikey. Besides, you're the only girl I'd wanna be locked in a room with..."He said, sending her a grin.

"Oh, Danny-Boo!~..."Star said, turning her face red and dragging her boyfriend's cute face against her own.

The couple began to lock lips and hug, enjoying the temporary freedom from their three biggest annoyances at school.

Despite the drama of last night, it turned out to be a pretty good Halloween after all, one that neither of them will be forgetting anytime soon.

They weren't the only ones to enjoy that night, in their own way.

Meanwhile

At Lake Eearie

There were several hundred discarded candy wrappers laying on the floor and overflowing the waste-bin, all of which were also completely licked clean of any remaining sugar.

In the middle of the floor, Wulf was in the kitchen, preparing something to drink, while his little friend was laying on the couch, clutching her stomach which also had a heating pad for her.

"Ugh, I shouldn't have had those last 10 king sized chocolate bars..."Dani said, feeling a tummy ache.

"I told you not to eat it all at once..."Wulf said in English, and the little ghost girl pouted.

"But it was SO good!..."Dani whined, her face still sticky from all the candy.

She let out a little belch, still a little woozy from all the sugary sweets she consumed within the night and tried to keep it all down. Which thankfully she did, since unlike a certain fake redhead, the little ghost girl's iron stomach was far too strong to be defeated just by a lot of candy for long..

Though, to be fair, the candy is putting a pretty good fight.

"I think that I found the one downside to that holiday..."She thought, groaning.

She knew that she kind of went overboard binging on her treats once she and Wulf returned to the cabin. She had gorged on all the candy they got from a full night of trick-or-treating and this stomach ache is a result of that.

"I just hope Wulf doesn't blab about this to Star and Danny during their next visit..."She thought, trying to keep her lunch down and knowing that a certain teen couple would give her a scolding for this if they knew about it.

Still, she recalled all those sweets and couldn't help but smile as she had enjoyed eating every last sugary morsel with much gusto. She had no regrets, at least not until this passes. However, right now, she was still part that she got to enjoy one normal thing that normal kids get to enjoy and sometimes take for granted.

Being able to go trick-or-treating and eating tons of candy until you get sick, even at the risk of being scolded and an inevitable "I told you so" for a grown-up you're close to.

"Worth it..."Dani said as Wulf handed her some warm water with baking soda to sooth her tummy.

Thanks to that and her body's healing factor, her stomach ache went away pretty quickly and she was soon right as reign again. Once done, she turned to Wulf and smiled, feeling much better now.

"Do we still have any of those caramel candy pieces left?..."She asked, looking around.

Wulf sighed and he shook his head, putting his foot down.

"No more candy! I'm...making...a real breakfast...so, wait there..."Wulf said as he pulled out several fish he got from the lake.

Since he and Dani became neighbors and he promised his old friend to keep an eye on her, he's made an effort to watch out for her well-being. He's also made an effort to learn and speak more English for her sake too. His English is still very rusty and he still prefers speaking in his native language, but he can still have a few conversations like this.

Anyway, he took the fish and headed to the stove to cook them, along with some wild, edible vegetables that he found nearby since he felt she needed something nutritious after all that junk food.

Dani pouted and grumbled.

Not that she'll mind having a nice warm meal for breakfast, she just wishes that she had planned ahead and saved some extra candy for a later time. Now, she has to deal with Wulf acting like a babysitter again and reminding her that she ate too much candy.

"Worry wart.."She muttered, but smirked since she saw Wulf was busy preparing the fish.

She pulled out an extra candy bar and quickly ate it, loving the taste of the sugary chocolate.

"I love Halloween!..."She thought, sneaking the extra sweet before Wulf finished cooking breakfast and served it to her.

Yeah, tummy ache aside, she really did enjoy her first ever Halloween.

Meanwhile

At Fenton Works

While Danny and Jazz were at school, their parents were busy taking down the decorations from last night, mostly because they still couldn't leave the house until ALL the Halloween decorations were taken out, as per their agreement with Chief Boyle.

"This is ridiculous! Just because we made a few mistakes, it doesn't mean that we're a danger to our neighbors and the rest of our town! We're NOT trouble like those ghosts!..."Maddie grumbled, while deflating some inflatable monster decoration.

"Ow!..."Jack moaned.

Maddie saw that her husband with a bowl of the leftover Halloween candy that didn't end up being given away last night. Like every year, her husband ate the remaining candy and was now dealing with the end results of that.

"Ugh, I shouldn't have had those last 10 king sized chocolate bars!..."Jack said, feeling woozy.

"I told you not to eat it all at once..."Maddie nagged and her husband groaned.

"But it was SO good!..."Jack whined, feeling nauseous. "Baby cakes, got anything for an upset stomach?..."He asked.

Maddie sighed.

"I'll go get the baking soda..."She said, heading to the kitchen to prepare something to sooth her husband's stomach ache.

Again.

While she was gone, her husband pulled out another chocolate bar he had and he shrugged. His wooziness wasn't as bad as it would be for most people since he had the "Fenton iron stomach", since he was already used to eating a lot and couldn't be taken down too long by mere candy.

Though, to be fair, it was a pretty even match.

"Glad I saved this..."He thought as he made sure his wife didn't see what he was doing.

He then quickly unwrapped it and took a bite out of it, loving it.

"The only thing I love about Halloween..."He said as he quickly scarfed the rest of it down, enjoying the chocolate taste.

He then ate the rest of it, before his wife came back in time with the water and baking soda to sooth his tummy.

"Worth it..."He said before drinking it to calm his stomach down.

Back at Casper High

Danny and Star were on their way to the bleachers, wanting to sneak some private time before they have to get to class.

"Ready, Starlight?..."Danny said, holding her hand.

"Ready, Danny-boo..."Star said, smiling.

As they were on their way to one of their favorite make-out spots, they ran into their tech-savvy friend.

Tucker was scarfing what remained of his prized Halloween candy and looking like he was on top of the world.

"Hey guys..."Tucker said, waving at them.

"Hey, Tuck..."Danny said, seeing his best friend pigging out.

"I see that you're really enjoying your prize from the party..."Star commented.

"Yep, ten pounds of victory!..."Tucker said before taking a fist-full of candy and eating it like it was nothing.

His friends saw this and made faces as he kept eating all the junk food in an almost ravenous sort of way.

"Tuck, slow down. You're gonna get a stomach ache if you keep eating like that..."Star nagged.

The tech geek thought about it and shrugged.

"Hey, you only live once, and it's free candy. Plus, it's worth it..."Tucker said, going back to scarfing down his candy.

Star and Danny both rolled their eyes.

"Don't say that we didn't warn you. And FYI, I'm not gonna be the one helping you if you end up puking your guts out from all of your candy binging..."Star said, having seen enough puke yesterday.

"Duly noted..."Tucker said before going back to eating.

Danny and Star both sighed, as the tech-geek kept eating his prized candy.

"Does he always do this around candy?..."Star whispered to her man.

"Yeah, aside from meat, junk food is all he eats. His mom even says that he needs to cut down and add more veggies to his diet..and I can't exactly blame her. Plus, he did have a sugar addiction when we were kids, I still remember it..."Danny admitted, as his tech-savvy kept eating his prized candy like there was no tomorrow.

"Just a reminder, I'm not taking him to the nurse or cleaning up after him if and when he blows chunks..."Star said, looking grossed out at the mere thought of that.

"Got it..."Danny said, as his friend kept shoveling in the junk food.

Soon enough, they saw another familiar face and one that looked grumpier than usual.

"Hey Sam..."Danny waved.

"Hey..."Sam said, looking bugged about something.

"So, what exactly happened last night that made you moodier than usual?..."Star asked.

The goth girl sighed and decided to just give out the footnotes of what happened last night, since she didn't think that they needed to know every little detail of what happened to her last night.

"It's nothing important, let's just say I think I ran into Gregor 2.0..."She muttered, looking bitter.

"Really? Ouch..."Star said sympathetically, having an idea on what she meant.

Gregor was a total poser, and Star knew personally what it was like dealing with them.

"Who was it?..."Danny asked in a protective manner.

"Some loser name Damien or Dave or whatever his name is. A phony goth and major creep, who apparently is willing to say anything to a girl to get her to make-out with him. Ugh! In other words, a total player and phony..."Sam muttered, in no hurry to see him again any time soon.

Her wish was not granted as someone noticed two seniors walking by and couldn't resist approaching them with his "charm".

"Hey there you two, ya both like pizza?..."A "deep" voice was heard, one that the goth girl recognized.

"Oh, you gotta be kidding me..."Sam muttered as she turned and frowned at what she saw.

Sam saw Damien...or rather Dave...no longer in his grim reaper costume and he was now dressed in a punk sort-of fashion. She saw him trying to flirt with two punk girls and they seem to be none the wiser of his phoniness. Sam got mad and clenched her teeth at this display.

"That little phony!..."She muttered.

Her friends saw the way she was glaring at the guy and put two and two together.

"That's the guy?..."Tucker asked, stopping his binging long enough to say that.

"Yeah, and looks like he's at it again..."Sam said, still made for the stunt he tried to pull with her and for disrespecting Nightmerica.

"I can't believe I actually thought he was cool. I hate posers!..."She grumbled, as the phony kept trying to hit on the other girls.

"You need me to mysteriously cause his pants to fall off him in front of those girls for you?..."Danny offered, since he knows Sam had a bad experience with that guy if she's like this.

"No, he's not worth it..."Sam said, not wanting to waste all that effort on some creep that wasn't worth her time.

That's when Dave tripped, causing his pants to fall and revealing his colorful boxers with pink hearts on it, humiliating himself as people began pointing and laughing.

The two girls he was hitting on saw this and started laughing at him.

"Uh, sorry. But I don't think you're my type..."One of them said, laughing.

"Mine either. Later, loser..."The other said, snickering before walking away and effectively rejecting the boy.

Dave was humiliated as he lifted his pants up and saw that the girls were leaving.

"Wait, come back! That was an accident! I don't know how that happened! Come on, can't we forget that whole thing and start over?! Do you girls like cars? I've got a friend who own a pretty sweet Gi-normo! Come back!..."The humiliated Dave said as he went after them, but was ignored and laughed at as people kept making fun of him for his pants falling down in public.

Sam found herself laughing and feeling much better now, before sending a "scolding" look to her friend.

"Okay, now I feel better. Thanks Danny, but you didn't have to go that far. I thought you were kidding about pantsing him..."The goth girl said, thinking he must have done something ghostly.

"I didn't do anything..."Danny said, surprising her.

"But how did that happened?..."Sam asked and the others just shrugged.

"Dunno...maybe karma decided to strike. That and he probably forgot his belt at home..."Danny suggested, not knowing or caring how that happened.

Sam thought about it and simply shrugged her shoulders. Whether it was karma or not, she felt some satisfaction seeing that fake-goth/poser get humiliated like that.

"Eh, whatever. That jerk got what was coming to him, so I won't complain about it..."She said, as she was just satisfied with the results.

Seeing that she was okay now, Star and Danny turned to each other, recalling their original intentions.

"Danny...I should remind you that we have class in like 15 minutes..."She reminded in a hinting way.

"Oh, right...we'll see you guys later..."Danny said as he and Star continued heading to the bleachers for some privacy.

"I'm not even gonna ask where they are going..."Sam said, preferring not to know.

"Whatever, now back to candy time..."Tucker said as he scarfed down more of his candy winnings and his female friend sighed.

"His mom is right about his eating habits. Even if I wasn't a vegetarian, I'd still say he'd need some green in his diet..."She thought as she predicted a stomach ache in the near future...and that the tech-geek wouldn't care in the slightest.

"I love Halloween..."Tucker said, eating more of his candy with no regrets at all.

A little later

Danny and Star had arrived to the bleachers and wasted no time in making out with each other. They enjoyed the fact that neither Colette, Paulina, or Dash was not here to spoil their mood and they wanted to enjoy it as much as possible.

The happy couple were currently involved in their favorite game...tonsil hokey.

Once they pulled away, they looked into each other's eyes lovingly and had matching blushes on their faces.

"This is awesome!..."Danny said, panting heavily.

"You got that right. Let's not stop!..."Star said, before pulling him back in for more.

The two kissed once more, deeply and with a lot more passion than usual. They held each other tight as they continued their loved-filled smooch.

MUAH!~

The two pulled away and grinned widely and pressing their foreheads against each other. They were as much as in love with each other as ever, and that clearly wasn't gonna change any time soon.

"I don't think I'll ever get tired of doing that, Starlight..."Danny said lovingly, as he stared into her eyes.

Star giggled, her arms still around him.

"You took the words right out of my mouth, Danny-boo..."She said, smiling widely at him.

"Speaking of mouths, ready for round 2?..."He asked, sending her flirty look.

"With you? Always..."Star answered, returning that same look.

The two teens were back to kissing, making out under the bleachers until they just barely had to get to class to avoid tardiness.

Even so, they were both on cloud 9 as they enjoyed a "pest-free" day and spent a good chunk of class time glancing at each other and passing cute little notes when Lancer wasn't looking.

However, as they kept making out, they heard an all too familiar sound that was sounding desperate and whiny.

"Valerie? Where are you? It's just senior prom? Why won't you say yes?!..."Nathan's desperate voice saw heard nearby.

Star pulled away and sighed.

"That's it! I don't care what Val says anymore, this is just pathetic! If that dork keeps this up, I'm getting my dad involved. Even if we can't get a restraining order on him, I'm sure I can get my dad to scare him into leaving her alone..."She muttered, irritated.

Danny thought about it, recalling how scary Mr. Strong can be when he's ticked off and shuddered.

"I'm SO glad I'm not Nathan right now..."He said.

"So, am I. Now, where were we?..."Star said as she grabbed Danny by the face and kissed his lips once more.

The two soon went back to kissing, both feeling blissful and at peace in each other's warm embrace as they continued to kiss each other tenderly.

"I love him/her so much!..."The young couple thought in-sync, both feeling pretty good right about now.

Yeah, it really had been one wild and eventful Halloween and they both couldn't wait to celebrate the next Holiday together as a couple.

While they didn't know what the future has in store, they knew that they loved each other and they could handle anything together, no matter the holiday.
A lesson that Dash, Paulina and Colette, unfortunately, had to learn the hard way.

Now, onto whatever November has to offer for our favorite couple!

Here are my responses to your questions:

1) I see that Danny would have one less enemy to deal with, and maybe a ghostly friend.

2) Danny would have one less enemy to deal with, and maybe a ghostly friend/potential love interest.

3) The show would definitely be different then.

CZS4: Thank you :)

Here are my responses to your questions:

1) It would definitely change some of the show's format.
