"We're free!" Miho cried out overjoyed. Her long hair fanned out about her as she twirled in Anzu's modest backyard. The one in which they'd spent so many afternoons and nights gossiping, laughing and studying.
"Yes, finally seniors," Anzu cheered along with her. "Now if only we could do something about this heat." She gazed up at the star strewn sky as she fanned herself with the final homework assignment she'd ever get back from that old frog of a teacher.
"Let's hit the town! I'm sure we can find some way to cool off or at least get our minds off of it," Miho suggested, coming to stand beside her.
Anzu glanced over to find the girl looking back at her, eyes dancing with excitement as they reflected the starlight above. And this is when Anzu loved her most. When she dared and dreamed and took Anzu along for the ride.
