Hello there.

Well, I didn't expect much from this story, so it really surprised me to have so many reviews and favourites. Now, I understand 5 reviews are not that many in comparison to many stories, but to me it is, and I am profoundly grateful for all of you who took a few minutes to give me some feedback, it is really appreciated. To Acies: though I'd rather not talk about it (that would be spoiler!), I do indeed have some plans for Sakura and to level her up a bit. Something I'd like to make clear is that I won't write an overpowered/godlike character, but I won't make her seem any weaker than she actually is. Most of this story has already been planned out, so there is little for me to think about by now, I don't intend to make this a 'Naruto-gets-transported-into-Earthland-and-never-tries-to-go-back' story with Sakura, she will get back home.

Also... I know this question will come up eventually, so... about romance in this story; Sakura already does have a romantic interest: Sasuke. So I don't plan to have her paired with anyone. Please consider this story a 'what happened between The Last movie and Boruto?'. Anyway, I hate writing these things before each chapter, let's just begin.

Pain. Pain all over her body.

That's what she felt as she finally began waking up again.

How had that happened? She remembered staying at the edge of a cliff. She slipped, and fell — and that's it.

Given the circumstances, the question lingering in her mind was understandable: 'Am I dead?', but it certainly did not seem like death to her. Not that Lisanna would know what being dead felt like. All she knew at the moment was pain... but the pain was actually fading away. Every second that went on made it diminish, as if an angel was healing her of her wounds.

And then she felt it. As she managed to focus on other sensations besides the unbearable, vanishing pain on her body, the girl realised someone's hands were touching her stomach. It was a soft touch, but she was sure it was the reason for her pain to be going away so quickly. It really was an angel blowing life back into her body, chasing death away. She was not going to die. Then her eyes finally opened up again. At first, all she saw was a blurry silhouette, but soon enough the image started making sense. The pink hair was the first noticeable trait.

"Natsu...?"

Lisanna muttered. But that was not Natsu, as she immediately found out. Natsu's eyes were not green.

"Shhh... try not to speak. Or move. You've been through a lot"

It was not Natsu's voice, either. It was feminine, one Lisanna did not recognise. As her sight became less blurry, she could see better the face of her saviour. Whoever that was, she probably was a bit older than Mirajane, though still pretty young. Speaking of...

"Whe-re... where are Mirajane and Elfman?"

'So that's her name, then' Sakura thought, shaking her head. Her hands moved from Lisanna's stomach to her chest. She was almost done healing her by now. Truth be told, the girl had suffered a whole lot of damage, much more than the kunoichi expected at first. Had she taken even a little longer to start healing her, Lisanna probably would've died. 'No point in thinking that now'

"They are... they are fine" The medical-nin answered a few seconds later. "I've healed your sister. Didn't see your brother, but I'm sure he is fine too. My name is Sakura, by the way."

Wrong words, apparently. As soon as Sakura told her that, Lisanna's eyes widened and she started trying to get up in spite of the horrible pain she was still feeling.

"W-wait, what?!"

She did not know her sister was in danger! What happened? Was it the Royal Army? A million thoughts raced through Lisanna's mind, but her saviour was now her jailor as well, and wouldn't let her get up.

"Let me go! I need to see them, I-..."

"Stay down, girl. I've already told you they are okay" Now Sakura was a bit annoyed. This girl had suffered a lot of injuries, there was no way in hell she would let her just get up and walk away. "Let me finish healing you, then you can see them."

To say these words did not call her down at all would be an understatement, but Lisanna gave up. She was too weak to break free of her hold, and that young woman clearly did not mean to hurt her. Maybe she was speaking the truth. And being healed sure felt nice, though she was not sure how... 'Wait, what'

Once again Lisanna's eyes widened as she realised what was going on: the healer's hands were surrounded by a green glow, the likes of which Lisanna had never seen before.

"Magic! You're doing magic!"

Those green eyes met hers again. Sakura was confused at first, but it soon turned into amusement and she let out a chuckle.

"I suppose it does kinda seem like magic. Feels nice, right?"

It sure did. By now, most of the pain was gone, though Lisanna sure felt like she could take a nap. Near-death experiences sure were tiresome as hell.

"Yes... thank you. I... my name is Lisanna"

"I know. Heard your sister yelling your name" Sakura explained as she noticed the girl's confusion. "That's how I found you. You were lucky though, this could've gone pretty bad"

The girl shivered at those words. She knew Sakura was right, of course, but to hear that aloud was something else. Luckily, the pinkette noticed her discomfort and decided to change subject, her tone softening up a little.

"Don't worry, okay? I promise it'll be over soon, then all of you can go home."

Lisanna surprisingly did find some relief in her words, even though they'd just met and she did not have a precise idea of what the pink haired woman was talking about. It was hard not to feel relieved, considering how good that healing magic felt. She was still baffled by it — how did she do magic with her hands like that? Then again, Sakura was wearing gloves. Perhaps they had lacrima infused in them somehow.

Right now it didn't matter.

"How are you feeling?"

It was Sakura's voice again.

"I... tired, I guess. But there's no pain anymore"

Letting out a relieved sigh, the medical-nin finally ceased her technique. The green glow vanished, and as it did, Lisanna began to fully understand how close to dying she had been a few minutes ago. This young woman saved her — it went beyond merely healing her wounds (which still intrigued Lisanna a lot, for the matter), the pinkette had actually saved her life.

"Sorry, my technique does not work on fatigue. You'll need to sleep that off"

"Thank you... I-I... thank you so much..."

Sakura was a bit surprised to see tears form in Lisanna's eyes, and even more so when the girl clung to her in a hug. Though the ninja world had been changing since the end of the war, it still was not that common for a shinobi to do something like that. Not that the kunoichi minded it, of course — once the surprise was gone, she was quick to reciprocate it. That's when she realised something: at first Sakura had thought these girls to be ninja as well, but this one clearly wasn't. She was just a girl who somehow got in that situation.

BAAAAM!

The earth shook beneath them moments after. Lisanna's eyes went wide open, whereas Sakura quickly got up to her feet. She didn't know how long her clones would last fighting that monster. Despite borrowing that jutsu from Naruto, her chakra reserves came nowhere near to his!

"What is that?!" Lisanna quickly tried to get up. This time not only did Sakura not try to stop her, but actually helped the girl in doing so. "Thanks."

"Don't mention it" Sakura said softly. "You can walk, right? I think your sister will be happy to see you, just don't try to join the fight"

No matter how much she tried to concentrate on the plan, Mirajane simply couldn't. She was just too concerned at the moment! She had not seen her sister ever since Elfman smacked her away, and despite Sakura assuring her that Lisanna was okay, Mira was just unable to let it go. Not to mention her brother's situation; it was all her fault, if she hadn't been so reckless Elfman would not have tried to Take Over that monster and wouldn't have lost his mind. Now every second that passed brought him even closer to becoming a mindless beast forever.

"DAMN IT, GIRL, PAY ATTENTION!" It was Sakura yelling at her again that brought the Fairy Tail mage out of her train of thoughts. She looked at the pinkette, who was currently dodging her brother's attacks and trying to tire him out. "YOU'VE GOTTA FOCUS, THIS CLONE WILL NOT LAST TOO LONG"

"So-sorry" Mira apologised timidly. No one back in the guild would've believed it if they saw Mirajane act in such a pathetic way, but she just couldn't pull herself together after what happened to her sister. "I'll try"

GRRRROAAAAAAA!

The beast roared and raised its massive arm. Sakura sidestepped. Elfman tracked her as he attacked, swinging downwards with such strength that blow probably would have crushed the medical-nin immediately. Unfortunately for monster-Elfman, the kunoichi had no intention of allowing that to happen. Just as the attack came towards her, Sakura changed direction and rolled right through the gap between the monster's legs.

'That's my chance. Please make it count, girl'

Before the confused beast started turning around, the pink haired ninja gathered chakra in her feet and performed a huge leap. She landed right on the back of its neck, each hand taking hold of one of its horns, and...

"Huh?" The monster looked up in confusion.

"SHANNARŌŌŌŌ!"

BAAAAM!

It all happened in a blink of an eye: Sakura channeled a large amount of chakra to both of her arms and swiftly flipped the monster over her shoulder, slamming it into the ground with such a powerful swing the very rock under it cracked due to Sakura's sheer strength and the weight of the creature, which was partially buried into the earth.

No matter how strong the monster was, that had to do some damage. And it sure did, for as soon as it happened the beast was left barely counscious. It didn't even attempt to move in the immediate aftermath. That was Sakura's plan from the beginning, to hold the monster while Mirajane approached and tried to reach her brother. Perhaps it was a bit naive of the pinkette to assume that it would work, but she did promise she'd help the best she could.

"M-Mira?"

After that stunt, clone-Sakura was panting heavily. The other clone had vanished long ago, and this one was about to go as well. If it did before Elfman was brought back, Mirajane would be in serious danger — Sakura's first plan was to simply try to knock it out, but according to Mira it wouldn't be safe to knock him while the monster was still in control, so they had to find a way to bring him back somehow. Speaking of, the white haired girl looked up as she heard her name and slowly approached, her attention going from Sakura to her beastly brother.

"H-hey... hey, Elfman... are you there?"

At fist, she got no response. As she approached more, however, the monster's head slowly moved. It looked up, but did not roar or try to attack. Perhaps it was just feeling dizzy after being slammed like that, but Mirajane had to keep trying. She wanted to believe her brother was still in there somewhere, and that she could reach to him. With no other response, the girl spoke again.

"Please, Elfman... I need you... Lisanna needs you as well... we need you back. Please, come back to us"

Just as she said Lisanna's name, Mira was forced to look away. She looked for Lisanna in the direction she'd been thrown. That was a mistake: two seconds later, the monster snapped and tried to bite her. The Demoness jumped back as quick as she could in fear of being hurt, but she'd certainly have lost an arm if Sakura didn't react on time and push its head against the ground.

The beast tried to struggle, but it was pointless. Sakura somehow was much stronger than it - how the hell she managed to, Mira had no idea, but right now she was too concerned about helping her family to pay much attention to it. But the clone Sakura could feel her chakra running low, about to vanish-

"C-continue... go... I... I'm almost ouf of chakra, g-..."

"CAN'T YOU SEE IT'S ME?!" But this time Mira didn't need incentive. She turned back to the beast and approached, raising her voice with each step taken towards it. She couldn't allow her family to go like this. "CAN'T YOU REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED? YOU HURT LISANNA! ARE YOU GOING TO KILL US, ELFMAN?"

That seemed to get its attention again. The monster stared motionlessly at Mirajane. The struggle stopped, and so did any attempts of attacking her.

"YOU SAID YOU'D PROTECT US! NOW YOU'RE THE ONE PUTTING US IN DANGER!"

Like before, all the beast did at first was stare, but both Sakura and Mira noticed something was different about it now. Human-like confusion seemed to take over its eyes. Its mouth moved, as if trying to say something. Was it Elfman taking control? Unsure of what to do, the clone looked at Mirajane.

Realising her brother was indeed fighting back the monster's influence from inside, the teen girl inhaled deeply. She didn't say anything else for a few seconds. Feeling the beast had stopped its attempts of breaking free, Sakura's clone relaxed a bit, but still didn't let go of its horns just in case. As a shinobi, Sakura had been trained never to let her guard fully down.

When Mirajane spoke again, she was not yelling anymore. Her tone was softer now, like Lisanna's had been when she tried to bring her brother's consciousness back. But this time it would be different.

"Please come back to us, Elfman. Let's go back home. To Fairy Tail"

'Do fairies even have tails?' Sakura had no idea what Fairy Tail meant, but she couldn't avoid asking herself that. It was such a silly question to ask in her current situation.

If it was up to her, Sakura would have knocked the monster out as soon as it demonstrated some sign of consciousness, but she didn't want to risk messing it up. She definitely wouldn't act without Mira's sign. The name Fairy Tail had no impact other than curiosity on the kunoichi, but the beast seemed to react differently. Its mouth started moving again - but suddenly stopped, and it frowned. The teeth clenched. It was the monster fighting back. They had to act, and-

"M-Mira?" Another voice joined their one-sided conversation. When they looked around in search for its owner, it didn't take long for Lisanna to be spotted. She clung to Sakura's arm and walked in a slow pace. Though there were no visible wounds, she sure didn't look that good either.

"Li-" Mirajane started. Relief unlike she'd ever felt washed over her body to see her sister safe. She even forgot about Elfman for a split second, but not for long.

"-sanna." The beast completed. Sakura had never heard Elfman's voice, but she presumed that was it, for both Mirajane and Lisanna imediately looked at the monster. They reacted differently to it; Mira immediately approached the beast, while Lisanna looked afraid and confused.

"E-Elfman? Is that..." The youngest of the siblings asked. She didn't come any closer than that.

To see his sister in such state seemed to snap Elfman's consciousness back. The monster started trying to move, though this time Sakura could feel it was not doing so aggressively. Well... now she didn't need any sign from Mira to see Elfman's mind was back, so...

BAAAAAM!

Without warning, the pink haired ninja smashed the monster's head against the ground and knocked it out for good. She was not going to take any risks! Both Lisanna and Mira jumped in surprise due to the loud impact.

Sakura's clone vanished before Mirajane could protest. That's when the white haired girl realised the Sakura her sister was clinging to was not the same Sakura who'd been pinning down her brother, and so-... but before she could try to figure out what was happening there, the Demoness noticed as her brother's monster form started to shrink and immediately rushed to his side.

By the time she knelt down besides him, Elfman was himself again. He was still unconscious due to Sakura's blow, but definitely breathing.

"T-thank God... thank God... Elfman..."

It didn't matter that he couldn't react to her touch, nor that in doing so she looked much different from the Demoness of Fairy Tail. Overwhelmed by relief, Mira hugged her brother and cried softly for the next several minutes.

Sakura watched sadly. After her clone vanished, its memories went back to her, so she knew what happened in the last few minutes. Though she'd made sure that her attacks wouldn't put the boy in danger, he probably was still hurt, and so was Mirajane, who'd refused her healing. As a medic ninja, Sakura had to change that.

So far, Lisanna had been very quiet. She said nothing and made no attempt to approach her siblings. She seemed confused, as if she didn't recognise them. Considering the near death experience she had just a few minutes ago, Sakura didn't think much of it at the moment. She touched the girl's shoulder softly to get her attention.

"I need to take care of your siblings, and you should talk to them, right? Mira was quite worried"

The girl looked at Sakura for a few moments, then nodded in agreement. They approached together. By then, Elfman was starting to regain consciousness.

"Mi...Mira? Is t-that you?"

When she heard her brother's voice, Mirajane started crying even more. It didn't go unnoticed.

"Why... why are you crying? Mira? Why are you crying?"

"I-..."

That's when they noticed Sakura and Lisanna. As soon as the younger girl stepped close enough, Mirajane immediately grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the hug as well. Sakura just stepped back and watched the scene unfold; Elfman still seemed worried about the condition of his sisters. Apparently he didn't remember much of what happened during his transformation. Lisanna still seemed a bit confused, but she quickly gave in to the hug and joined it, happy to be with her sister, albeit in such strange circumstances.

By the time they were done, nearly half an hour later, Sakura would heal the two oldest siblings (and this time she definitely was not going to accept any defiance on that) and take the trio to a more comfortable place where they could talk about everything. And though she couldn't have foreseen it by then, this was the beginning of a bound the likes of which she'd never experienced before - she became their guardian angel, so to speak.

Thanks to all who've read this. As I said in chapter 1, I'm a lazy person, so it will take a while between updates. This one didn't take that long because I had most of it written by the time I published chapter 1. Just know they won't be too often and I won't abandon it, either, and enjoy.

Bye!
