"Big brother, I'm hungry," Mokuba declared from the backseat.
"Mokuba, we go through this every time," Kaiba replied, impatiently.
"Here, I got you covered," Jounouchi said, pulling out a pack of crisps from his jacket pocket and handing it back to Mokuba.
Kaiba looked from Mokuba to Jounouchi. This was new. In truth, much about Jounouchi was new.
The way he smiled, jostled and even fell in to their lives, or Kaiba's to be more specific.
Now in this familiar exchange, of Mokuba forgetting to eat, Jounouchi again presented a new element. Care? Chance? Observation?
"How'd you know?" Kaiba asked quietly as Mokuba began to snack.
"Call it… prescience," Jounouchi declared with a smile.
"Big word, mutt," Kaiba teased.
"How do you think I keep myself busy when I'm tired of gaming and you're still working?" Jounouchi said.
"Explains why I found you asleep in the library the other day," Kaiba mused.
"Oh, yeah, it's also got the best couch," Jounouchi replied.
"Well, thanks, for noticing, about the snack," Kaiba said, hands on the steering wheel.
"Of course, I got your back," Jounouchi said with another smile, one that made Kaiba want to kiss him right in front of his little brother.
