Hunter groaned as he reached up to hold his head.

He had a terrible headache, and his mind's fogginess prevented Hunter from remembering what had happened to lead up to it. He sat up slowly, limbs aching from the motion, and opened his eyes the slightest bit. His vision was blurry; he knew it was because he had been unconscious, that much he could remember, but Hunter couldn't place the reason for his having blacked out.

After a moment, his vision cleared, and he looked around to try and get a clue as to why he had fallen unconscious.

Taking in the dimly lit room cluttered with various projects, Hunter looked around for any signs of his brothers, and almost had a heart attack when he saw them in states similar to his previous. All of his batch were unconscious on the floor near him, and when Hunter noticed this, his memories came rushing back to him.

Where was Omega? He didn't see her anywhere in the room. The only life forms he could even sense were himself, his brothers, and... an animal of some sort.

Just as Hunter began to try to locate the creature, fearing it had injured his sister, he heard his brothers shift around behind him. When he turned back to them, he saw that they were all groggily coming to. Tech had opened his eyes and was looking around, but other than that, hadn't moved at all. Wrecker had already pulled himself into a sitting position, and was rubbing his eyes. And Echo...

As soon as he looked at his brother, Hunter could tell that Echo's cybernetics were malfunctioning. Knowing that he would need help, Hunter attempted to stand up, and practically collapsed onto Tech from the fire that shot through his legs. Tech sat up at that, then pulled his gasping brother back up to a sitting position.

"Tech... Echo's implants... he needs help." Hunter managed to rasp out. Tech nodded in understanding, and crawled over to their paralyzed brother.

Hunter couldn't help but groan again at how badly his head hurt, earning him a sympathetic look from the three other clones. Tech pulled off his pack, and after rummaging through it for a moment, tossed something to Hunter. Hunter looked questionably at Tech when he saw the hypo.

"It will help to ease the pain of your headache, and should relieve your muscle pain." Tech explained in a quiet voice. Hunter smirked in thanks, and injected it into the side of his neck. A sigh slipped from his mouth before he could stop it; his headache had faded almost immediately, and it was a welcome relief to his senses.

"Where's 'Mega?" Wrecker mumbled. Hunter realized with a jolt that he had completely forgotten about her. Glancing around wildly, he pulled himself to his feet, and thankfully managed not to fall over again, though he did wobble a little bit.

After he steadied himself, the Sargent began to search for the animal he could sense. He wasn't quite sure what type of creature it was at the moment, but he could hear its heartbeat. It was thumping wildly in the creature's chest, and Hunter could sense its rapid breathing as well. Following the sound, it led him to a counter by the wall, under which Hunter knew the creature was crouched. Squatting down, he was surprised and relieved to see...

A Loth cat.

Strange in itself, it still didn't answer the question of what had become of Omega. He was about to stand up again and continue his search when he heard a small mew from the feline. Turning back to it, he could see that the blond and brown-striped cat was crouched up against the wall, its honey-brown eyes watching Hunter's every move. Hunter felt a pang of compassion for it, and knowing that Omega would appreciate it, he called out to Tech.

"Tech? There's a Loth cat here. I think it might have gotten shocked along with the rest of us."

"I will assist you as soon as I finish repairing Echo's cybernetics." Tech called back, deep in concentration as he fiddled with Echo's legs. After a moment, they shifted slightly, and Echo groaned as he stretched himself.

"Ugh, that feels better; thanks, Tech."

"You are welcome."

Satisfied that Echo's limbs were back in working order, Tech picked up his pack and joined Hunter. Crouching next to the Sargent, Tech told him, "You will have to retrieve the feline if I am to scan it. Someone should keep a hold on it as well until I finish my examination."

They both turned around when they heard Wrecker scramble to his feet and over to them, a hopeful expression on his face. Though he didn't say anything, it was obvious to both of them what he was asking.

"Yes, Wrecker, you can do it. Just don't hurt it." Hunter chuckled, scooting over to make space for the big clone, who immediately sat down between himself and Tech.

Hunter didn't miss the way the cat's eyes widened slightly and how it pressed as close to the wall as it could. He could hear its heartbeat thumping wildly as Wrecker reached a large hand forwards. Though its eyes seemed to watch them full of fear, he could also see confusion and curiosity its dark depths.

"Here kitty kitty..." Wrecker excitedly stage-whispered. The Loth cat laid its ears back at his loud voice, but remained motionless otherwise.

However, right before Wrecker reached the feline, Hunter sensed a change come over it. Its pulse quickened even more, and it began breathing deeply as its muscles tensed. Hunter knew what that meant.

"Wrecker..." He warned, but before Hunter could finish his sentence, the cat let out a whine and bolted. None of them reacted in time to catch it.

Omega was scared.

She didn't know why. All she knew was that she was very, very small. And that anything bigger than her could be a threat.

Unsure as to what she should do, Omega ran under one of the counters, where she hid and surveyed her surroundings. She couldn't see anything that looked threatening, so she listened to be sure. All sounds she heard seemed to be five times louder than normal, and Omega used that to her advantage. She could hear voices faintly conversing from somewhere out of her line of sight, but for the moment, that seemed to be all.

Convinced she was safe for the moment, Omega felt herself relax, and the strange fear that she couldn't pinpoint the reason for faded slightly.

Suddenly, she jerked up, the unwelcome terror growing once more in her stomach. Someone, or something, was heading right to her.

When the feet stopped in front of her hiding spot, Omega couldn't help but tense up as she prepared herself to be faced with something horrid.

She was pleasantly surprised when Hunter squatted down in front of her. She couldn't have been more happy to see anything else in the world, and yet, her stomach coiled up even then for some reason. Omega was elated that he was here, yet her nerves were higher than ever at his appearance.

When Hunter seemed to be about to stand up, Omega panicked, not wanting him to leave, and tried to call his name. Instead, all she heard was a quiet mew, and while that was more than a little startling, it did make Hunter turn back to her. Hunter's eyes locked onto hers, and she heard him call out to Tech.

"Tech? There's a Loth cat here. I think it might have gotten shocked along with the rest of us."

His voice was unusually loud, but she figured that she just had a headache.

Wait...

Loth cat?

Omega's breathing sped up as she connected the dots. The giant size of everything around her, the strange fear of everything that had nestled itself in her gut, the mew instead of a word, and the increased volume of everything; how hadn't she figured it out sooner?

Omega was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice Tech's approach until he sat down in front of her, startling her slightly. Hearing his statement to Hunter, she tried to feel relief. Tech would be able to figure out who she was when he scanned her! He could fix everything.

When Wrecker came stomping over, Omega lost her battle of staying calm and of not panicking. He was so big. And really loud to her sensitive ears. She could now understand how Hunter felt whenever he had a sensory overload. It was difficult.

Omega froze as the big clone reached his hands out towards her. While she did trust him, as well as the other two clones in sight, her brain was screaming at her to run, don't let him touch you! Rather than have to deal with the overwhelming instinct the whole time she was being held, Omega decided to follow its advice, and bolted.

Somehow, she managed to evade the three clones, who all lunged for her the moment she fled.

However, before Omega could find a new place to hide, something pounced on her, effectively trapping her in its grip.
