Omega squirmed in Echo's hold, but her efforts were futile. The former ARC trooper had her back up against his chest, and his arms were wrapped around her middle. She could probably escape if she really tried, but Omega would rather not hurt her brothers in any way, no matter how scared she currently felt.

"Gotcha." He huffed. Echo straightened himself as he stood, and smirked at the others' shocked expressions.

"What, didn't think I could catch one tiny Loth cat? I'm an ARC trooper, remember?"

"Former ARC, to be exact." Tech corrected, coming out of his shock. "You did not withhold that title after the injuries you sustained on Skako Minor."

Omega felt Echo slump slightly behind her. "Yeah, right."

He sat down, and before Omega could try to escape again, he was holding her down and Tech was injecting a hypo into her neck.

"That was a sedative; it will make it easier to take a scan without it running off."

Sure enough, after a few moments, Omega felt her vision starting to blur and her tensed muscles relaxed.

She vaguely realized that she was now sprawled freely on the cold durasteel floor, and that Tech was now holding a scanner over her body. Omega tried to stay focused on what was happening, but the sedatives eventually overpowered her, and she slipped into unconciousness.

Hunter audibly sighed in relief as the Loth cat lost conciousness. He guessed that Tech's scan would probably take a lot longer than it currently was if the creature had been awake and struggling.

"Tech, you done yet? We need to find Omega." Hunter glanced at his brother, who's face was currently scruntched from concentration.

"Not quite, Hunter. I am analyzing the scan for any injuries, and I shall update you shortly." Tech inspected the scan, not looking up as he responded.

Hunter nodded, only half paying attention. He was sweeping the room with his eyes, trying to spot his sister from his current vantage point. No such success. Hunter considered the idea of getting up to physically look around, but he didn't know if it would be better to wait until Tech had finished and they could all look together. Before he could voice his thoughts, though, Echo spoke his mind.

"Hey, Tech, I'm going to go try to find Omega." He glanced very pointedly at Hunter. "Let me know when you're done."

"Of course," Tech mumbled, still fixated on the 'pad. Echo pulled himself to his feet, then looked back at Hunter, who still hadn't moved an inch. He raised an eyebrow. "You coming, Sargent?"

"Guess Echo made my decision for me," Hunter thought. He nodded, and stood up beside him. "Split up. Omega could be anywhere in this room, and we can both tell that it's pretty cluttered. She could be hidden behind any one of these things." He turned again to Tech. "We'll let you know if Omega needs.. er.. medical help."

At that, Tech finally looked up from his datapad, a symapthetic expression on his face. "That will be acceptable." He resumed his examination of the scan.

Wrecker watched the two leave, then turned his attention back to the Loth cat. Since it was currently unconcious, it couldn't get scared if he tried to pet it now. He slowly reached out a hand, then paused and looked to Tech to ensure he wouldn't get upset. Tech merely nodded at him, and Wrecker's hand closed the distance between it and the cat.

He smiled softly as he traced the patterns on the cat's back. There was a large design on its back that almost looked like Omega's bow, and one on its head that reminded him of the pendants she and Nala Se had both worn. Wrecker bet that Omega would find it hilarious, as well as undoubtedly love it.

Before he could think any more on the matter, though, Tech's datapad finally pinged, and Tech got a triumphant look on his face.

"Scans complete!" He announced. Hunter and Echo rejoined them after a moment. Wrecker sadly noticed that they still hadn't found her, even after all of their searching.

"Where could she be?" He wondered.

Tech adjusted his goggles, then began reading the scan's results aloud. "Female Tooka cat, or more specifically, Loth Cat. She seems to have acquired a few bumps and bruises, but there are so few that the matter is insignificant." He went silent once more.

"Is that all, Tech?" Hunter spoke up after a moment of awkward silence. The former blinked and looked up at him.

"I thought it was obvious."

Hunter sighed in exasperation, and placed a hand on Tech's pauldron. "Tech, we really need to work on your definition of obvious."

Tech opened his mouth to respond, but before a single word came out of his mouth, the Loth cat moved slightly, and they all stilled.

Tech quickly checked her vitals to make sure the sedatives wore off correctly, then turned to Wrecker. "I would say that you could keep ahold of her until we find Omega, but considering your size upset her last time she saw you, I am not sure that is a reasonable idea."

"And I probably couldn't contain her for long." Echo added. "For long." He emphasized when the others raised an eyebrow.

"Seeing as I cannot simply set down my datapad, that would leave you, Hunter." Tech determined. "If we find Omega, and she is well enough to hold her, then you may pass the cat off to her. Otherwise, she is yours."

Hunter noticed that Tech had said if they found Omega. Not when. As if he thought something had happened to her. Hunter steeled his gaze at his brother.

"Tech, we are going to find Omega. You better not be giving up."

Tech's eyes widened at the accusation, but Hunter didn't relinquish his glare. He wasn't giving up on Omega yet, and neither were any of his brothers.

"Hunter... of course I am not, it is just... the chances of-"

"We don't want to hear it," Echo broke in, with a far less stern voice than Hunter's, but stern all the same. "We're going to find her."

"We aren't given' up easily, either!" Wrecker declared.

All eyes turned to Tech.

"I... suppose I could ignore the percentage of finding her," he began, and offered his brothers a small smile. "Now let us find Omega."

Hunter and his brothers were determined. They were The Bad Batch - Clone Force 99. Who always suceeded, no matter the objective.

They would find their sister, Hunter was sure of it.
