Skyslasher-
1) Told ya.
2) Yeah, it kinda is.
3) I do, but I realize that sometimes my ideas are not good in practice than they are in theory.
HaloZealotDemon-
1) I'm sorry for annoying you. In my view that seemed to be a method Neo would use to keep on Yang on Vader's orders instead of using her Semblance constantly.
2) I didn't mean to rush things between Ruby and Oscar, I just wanted to finish the chapter.
3) I'm not really looking for a relationship at the moment but thanks for the advice, I guess.
4) The only offense I've taken is to what you said about Wattpad. I'm user myself.
P.S thanks for the advice.
Guest-Questioner-Yeah, I remember reading about that.
Marshal Barachiel-My apologies. It was a habit I picked up from writing on Wattpad. I'll try my best to stop from doing that.
The Court of Talons-Thanks. I try my best.
fahri-uchiha-Welcome to the story. I'm glad you like it so far.
54godamora-Thanks for enjoying. And for your question it was after Blake left the Fang.
TPoynt-Well, not exactly. It's more like with some rearranged words. Like the s and c. O-S-C-A-R. R-A-S-C-O.
Now on with the story.
Chapter 11-The Initiation Part 1
The next day...
Darth Vader could not recall a moment where he lost his arm in recent years. The only memory he had was when he had just become a Sith, and he fought his former master. He was arrogant and he fell for the Jedi's trap. This was the first time in a long time where an enemy had managed to cut off one of his arms. And where said enemy had escaped with his life and no injuries other than low Aura.
Apparently, Lord Vader had underestimated how powerful a Bad Luck Semblance could be.
The Sith went on another mission with the High Leader and Adam Taurus on a SDC Dust train raid. It went well but then the grunts were being taken out by the Huntsman Qrow Branwen, Raven's twin brother. The Sith went to intercept the Huntsman. He wanted to test Raven's twin brother and the Huntsman proved to be a formidable opponent that seemed to match his skills with the blade despite being drunk. That and his Semblance messed with Vader's prosthesis and support system before he sliced Vader's right arm off.
Those that knew Darth Vader (Either personally or by reputation) would say that the Sith was taking this rather extremely well. And they'd be right, but Darth Vader was nonetheless intrigued.
One would think that Darth Vader should have used his lightsaber but there were two reasons why the Sith didn't. One, he needed to keep the existence of his lightsaber a secret and he didn't want the White Fang or anyone to see his real weapon. The second reason was the same as the first but more for the possibility Qrow Branwen managed to escape. Which happened anyway thanks to his Bad Luck Charm Semblance. But at least the Huntsman didn't see his lightsaber.
Perhaps he should take Raven's offer of bringing Qrow into the Empire.
No. Raven wants to betray the Sith. That was why Raven put the offer out in the first place. This Lord Vader knows. He had known for a long time. He only didn't do anything out of amusement but also because there wasn't anyone that replace her as the Spring Maiden... Actually, Qrow Branwen could replace his sister as chief of the Branwen Tribe and Emerald Sustrai or Neo Politan could be her replacement as the Spring Maiden.
"Or perhaps," he said out loud, turning to the body of a woman on the table. "You can still be of use to me, Cinder Fall." He stepped back as two droids walked to the table. He thought about Qrow Branwen again decided to test the Huntsman some more.
The cybernetic Sith Lord reached for his private Scroll and called. "Mistral Hunters Registry." He said. "I would like to register a bounty." The operator asked who it was. "Qrow Branwen."
"How much? Dead or alive?" Darth Vader thought it over. "7 million." He answered. "Dead." That would put Qrow Branwen's skills to the test. And perhaps send some of his Pack for extra measure.
If it were up to him, Darth Rasco would strangle Professor Ozpin when he sees him after the Initiation in the Emerald Forest outside of Beacon Academy. And Lord Rasco wouldn't do it with the Force. Oh no, he would do it with his bare hands. Being tasked to fight through a forest filled with Grimm? That Lord Rasco could handle. Being partnered with the first person he makes eye contact with? He could easily find Neo or even Emerald and Mercury. Either would suit him. But being launched off a cliff at high speeds with no warning but instructions to use his own "landing strategy?" That, the Sith Apprentice considered to be unacceptable.
But he must remain calm. Killing Ozpin would not help his master's empire. Still though, he felt something through the Force between himself and the headmaster. Like some sort of connection. Maybe the two of them were supposed to be allies. The Force wasn't whispering for him to kill the old man. Strange and peculiar. He'll look into that matter later.
Shaking his head, Rasco pulled out Chaos Bringer and used it to cut through multiple tree trunks to slow himself down before he grabbed a tree limb and then jumped to the ground in what many would call a superhero landing.
He stood up and looked at his surroundings. It didn't seem that there were any Grimm near him. He sighed before he closed his eyes and let his anger be broadcasted out. If there were any Grimm near him, they'll be drawn to the Dark Side.
Darth Rasco walks through the forest before he paused about half a mile away from his landing before an Ursa charged out of the underbrush. He jumped over the Grimm bear and landed behind it. He tsked as they both turned around and faced each other. The Ursa growled before it swung at him with its claws. The Sith Apprentice blocked the attack with his axe and punched the Ursa in the jaw with Aura powered punch. He spun Chaos Bringer before he swung at the Grimm's legs. He then held the axe above his head and decapitated the Ursa.
He twirled his axe to clean the Grimm ash off before he heard someone clapping. He rolled his eyes before closing them. When he opened them, they were no longer Sith yellow but hazel.
"Decided to drop in, sis?" Oscar asked Neo who sat on a tree branch. Neo merely waved in response before hopping down. Oscar rolled his eyes as Neo landed and skipped over to him. I knew you could handle it, Neo signed. Oscar rolled his eyes before the two of them walked north. "Did you see any other students?" he asked, subtlety asking about the where about Emerald and Mercury.
Some of them already disappeared from view, Neo replied. Though I think Merc and Em are up ahead. Oscar nodded in response as they walked ahead. "So, you and Yang?" he asked after a moment. Neo shrugged. In our job, you find pleasure anywhere. Oscar rolled his in response. She' swings both ways so she's game if you're up.
"Business and pleasure don't mix," Oscar replied. "We're here to do a job." He turned to face Neo fully. "Do well to remember that." His eyes suddenly widened at seeing something behind Neo. "Hit the deck!" he called out and they both jumped to the side just as a wave of Fire Dust flew by and hit a tree and it instantly went in flames.
Oscar and Neo stood up, looked at the burning tree before looking to see Weiss Schnee and Ruby Rose surrounded by Beowolves. "What the Hell?!" Oscar snapped. The two girls didn't seem to hear him as the Schnee grabbed Ruby and ran away. The Beowolves howled in response at their retreating prey.
The surrounding trees began to burst into flames. Did she just set the whole forest on fire?! Neo signed looking around. "I'm not sure," Oscar said. "Go on without me, I have to put the fire out before it spreads." Neo nodded and ran ahead.
Five minutes...
Oscar took a deep breath and held his arms up at his sides. He rotates his hands clockwise and counterclockwise for half a minute before rotating them counterclockwise only as two green analog clock glyphs appeared on his finger tips. Slowly but surely the flames began to move back to the original tree. Oscar breathed deeply before open his eyes which were now bright green.
Three more minutes...
A large frozen green analog clock glyph appeared on the burning tree and the flames froze in place.
Two minutes...
Oscar used Chaos Bringer to chop the tree up into pieces before using the axe to dig a trench around the tree before dispersing the glyph. He opened his eyes to be Sith yellow.
"Those children were reckless with Fire Dust." Darth Rasco said. "They could have burned the forest and endanger other students."
Oscar took a deep breath. "It doesn't matter. They're here to learn." he picked up his axe. "Still, I need to talk with them." With that said, he ran in the direction Neo went in.
"Our last pair has been formed sir," Glynda said to Ozpin atop of the cliff over looking the Emerald Forest. "Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren." she informed. "Poor boy, I can't possibly imagine the two of them getting along." Oh, how wrong she was. "Still he's better than Ms. Nikos."
Ozpin hummed in thought while the Combat Professor continued. "I don't care what his transcripts say, Jaune Arc is not ready for this level of combat." she sighed and turned away. "By our calculations, they should all reach the temple soon. By they way, what did you use as relics this year?" she turned back to Ozpin who remained silent. "Professor Ozpin?"
Ozpin had his eyes glued on his Scroll which was showing Oscar running through the foliage.
Oscar was running over a small hilltop when he saw Neo standing at the remains of a temple with Yang Xiao Long and a girl with black hair and matching bow. "Oh hey there Oscar." Yang waved as he ran down the hill.
"Where's your sister?" Oscar asked after stopping. "I need to talk with her and her partner." Yang shook her head. "Wait, who's her partner?" the blonde asked.
"It looked like Weiss Schnee." Oscar shrugged. "The Ice Queen?" Before Oscar could reply they all heard a ear piercing girlish scream echo through the air.
"Some girl's in trouble!" Yang said looking around. Oscar turned his head to the direction of the scream with a furrowed brow. "Blake, did you hear that?" Yang asked her partner. "What should we do?"
When the girl didn't answer, Oscar turned to her and saw her staring at the sky. "What are you looking at, Blake?" he asked. "Blake, what should we do?" Yang asked while he waved his hand in front of her face. Blake simply pointed upwards, prompting Oscar, Neo and Yang to look up.
"HEADS UP!" Ruby Rose called out as she fell from the sky towards them.
Oscar furrowed his eyebrows. "What the fu-?" before he could finish, Jaune Arc flew in and collided with Ruby, causing the two to crash into a nearby tree.
"Ugh, what was that?" Ruby asked dazed before shaking her head and saw Jaune hanging upside down in front of her. "Hey Ruby," Jaune said weakly.
"Was that... Jaune?" Oscar asked. Since when was there a Semblance that allowed people to fly? Neo signed a question. "I.. don't think Jaune was using a Semblance..." Oscar commented as he looked the direction of where Jaune 'flew' in.
"Did your sister just fall from the sky?" Blake asked Yang. Yang tried to answer but then a Ursa crashed into the clearing flaying its paws around and snarling. Oscar and Neo entered a battle stance before a pink cloud exploded behind the Grimm Bear and it fell down with Nora Valkyrie falling off its back. "YEE-HAW!" Nora cried out in joy. "Aw, it's broken," she said as she stood up.
Oscar could sense everyone else's confusion as Lie Ren ran into view. "Nora... don't ever do that again..." Ren panted in exhaustion but Nora ran up to the relic pedestals and picked up a Queen chess piece. "Ooh! I'm queen of the castle!" she chanted before Ren called her name. "Coming Ren," Nora said with a salute.
Oscar stared at the ginger haired girl for a few seconds. "HA!" He laughs as he looks at Neo and points at Nora. "I'm not the only one who rides on Grimm!" Neo rolled her pink and brown eyes in exasperation.
"Did she just ride in on an Ursa?" Blake asked Yang. The blonde stammered again before Mercury Black, Emerald Sustrai and Pyrrha Nikos ran in with a large Death Stalker and a Arachnid-spider-Grimm running after them.
"Crap! Crap! Crap!" Mercury chanted while Emerald fired at the two Grimm with her pistols before the three of them jumped out of the Death Stalker's reach. "Jaune!" The Mistral champion called out.
"Pyrrha!" Jaune called back from his branch. "Whoa!" Ruby said as she stood up.
"Ruby!" Jaune tried calling for help but Ruby already jumped down. "Ruby!" Yang exclaimed.
"Yang!" Before the two sisters could hug, Nora knocked them both back. "Nora!" she cheered.
Oscar ran up to meet up with Emerald and Mercury. "What in Remnant did you do to make those things chase after you?" he asked.
"We landed the spider's web," Emerald said pointing at the Spider Grimm, "We ran into the girl with some blonde idiot with armor who thought it was a good idea to go Scorpio's cave." Mercury panted pointing at the Scorpion Grimm. "And he thought the Stalker's stinger was a relic." Emerald added.
"Blonde idiot... in armor... Jaune?" Oscar turned his head to Jaune who was still in the tree. "That's the guy!" Mercury and Emerald pointed at the blonde in armor.
Yang was beginning to shake in anger while Nora was bouncing in excitement. "Did they just run in with a Death Stalker and Arachnid on their tails?" Blake asked.
Yang's hair burst into flames and her iliac eyes were bloody red. "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!" she snapped. "CAN EVERYONE JUST CHILL OUT FOR TWO SECONDS BEFORE SOMETHING CRAZY HAPPENS AGAIN?!" Oscar pulled out a pocket watch from his pants pocket.
Tick...
Tick...
Ding!
Ruby tugged on Yang's jacket sleeve nervously. "Um, Yang?" she pointed up to the sky. What now? Neo signed before they all looked up and their jaws dropped.
It was Weiss Schnee, hanging onto a Nevermore for dear life on one of its talons. "RUBY, HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ME?!" she screamed before the Nevermore screeched.
Everyone stared with wide eyes except Nora and Ruby before Oscar looked down to the ground. "I always wanted to ride a Nevermore..." he said in a sad tone.
To be continued...
So what do you think?
Star Lord-Good? Bad? Bit of both?
Tell me what you think.
First off sorry for the wait. The good news, school's out for me. So, more updates. More good news (On a personal note) one of my older brothers had his first born son last week.
Now for the implication of the fight between Darth Vader and Qrow Branwen; remember Qrow's Semblance is Bad Luck and it's passive. And we seen how it works in cannon.
1) The bartender knocking a glass down
2) Winter getting caught and get in trouble with General Ironwood
3) Ruby missing Tyrian Callows despite how we've seen how a good sniper she is.
4) The roof collapsing on Tyrian when he lands.
5) A wood board almost falls on Ruby.
6) Qrow falling when Lionheart opens the door.
7) The coffee table breaking under Qrow's feet.
8) Qrow slipping in the Dust mine.
So I figured Qrow's Semblance might affect Darth Vader, especially his suit and cybernetics.
Next Oscar and the teams go against the Grimm. We'll look into Qrow going dark in the field with a bounty on his head. And Amber might appear.
Stay safe, take care. May the Force be with you.
GojiraFan455516 out.
Peace.
