Hello again, dear readers! It is I, Reptile!
I'm back with another chapter of a vampiric royal!
Now you all know what comes first before we get to the story. Yep, RESPONSE TIME!
voidnogitsune17: Ah, so that's where it's from. Thanks.
Lerans: Thank you, glad that you like it, and you'll see his reaction in this very chapter.
DJ-Zombie: Already did. This is late, I know. But still, I gotta make a response to it.
neztro: Thank you. Also, the daughter in the dream is (sorry, can't spoil it! You'll see at the end of the story). But anyways, I also checked and saw that you've got your own Vampire Eclipsa story that's inspired by mine. I read it, and I LOVE IT! Looking forward to seeing new chapters from it. Keep up the good work.
warprince2000: Thank you.
Ohma flame: I'll respond in order:
1) Hecka isn't dead yet, so no need to worry.
2) HA! Funny.
3) That's actually a pretty good idea.
Ok, let's get on with the story!
I don't own anything.
...
Earth, Diaz residence...
It's now morning at Echo Creek, and it's now time for the younger residents to head to school.
But one resident had a rather rough night.
Marco Diaz has yet again dreamt of that mysterious woman, and he is convinced that the woman in his dreams is Eclipsa.
How can he be sure?
Well, WHO ELSE COULD IT BE?!
This is the third dream he's had about this woman. The dreams revolve around a vampiric goth theme with bats, and there's a vampire queen on the loose!
It's painfully obvious.
Currently, a tired Marco Diaz is talking to, Janna, on their way to Miss Skullnick's class.
"So yeah, I'm having weird dreams, and there's a vampire on the loose... now I'm losing sleep." Said Marco, finishing his explanation of what's been going on after the incident with, Toffee.
"For real, dude? Dang." Janna said.
"Yeah, it's only been a couple days, and it's starting to freak me out." Marco said.
"Do you think she could take me as her immortal concubine?" Janna asked with her signature smirk.
"Janna!" Marco exclaimed.
"What? It may or may not be a legitimate question." Janna smirked.
"This is serious! There's a possibility that I'm being hunted!" Marco exclaimed fearfully.
"Or you're just being paranoid from what's been happening in Mewni, and minor sleep loss." Janna said.
"Then explain the dreams! Because they started the night before Star called me about a vampire queen on the loose!" Marco exclaimed in a whisper yell.
"How many times have they occurred?" Janna asked.
"Twice the night before, and once last night." Marco answered.
"Wow." Janna said, in genuine surprise. "Ok, gonna be real with you. There may or may not be a connection, and since vampires are considered a myth here on earth there's no credible source to look into."
"Well I did some research on what I could find, and I didn't read anything that said anything about vampire related dreams." Marco explained.
"Well then, either you're somehow connected with Eclipsa, or it's a warning of some kind."
"None of those make me feel better."
"Well I don't know what else to tell you, dude. Did anything else out of the ordinary happen besides the dreams, and blood drained victims?" She asked.
"Well, now that you mention it. There was this weird thing that happened after I left the Royal library. I was sitting near the edge of a either a large pond or small lake by the castle, then a reflection of the woman in my dreams appeared, who I'm pretty sure is Eclipsa, and said 'I found you.' When I whipped around, she wasn't there. But then I saw this white wolf standing in the other side, opposite from me, and I'm one hundred percent sure it wasn't there before." Marco explained.
Janna only stared at him with a wide eyed neutral expression.
"Yyyyyyeah, I can't help you there. Sorry, dude." She said.
"Then I'm screwed!" Marco exclaimed.
"What? What about that barbed cross thing you read about?" Janna questioned.
"I could only find info on how it was made, and the cross itself is gone, it's just gone. So I might need to use other stuff or methods to protect myself, and others if it comes down to it." Marco explained.
"Well good luck, dude." Janna said. "Also, you might need it to stay awake in class today. Substitute teacher or not, you're the one with a winning streak of staying focused in class." Janna said.
"Thanks."
With that said, the duo made it to Miss Skullnick's class. But like Marco was told yesterday, she's taking a vacation, and they'll be having a substitute until she returns. As for who that substitute is, and what they're like, is anyone's guess.
Everyone took their seats as they waited for the substitute teacher to walk through that door, and it wasn't long until some of the students began to gossip about who the teacher is.
"I bet it's some old hag like Skullnick." Said one male student.
"I'm hoping it's someone younger than Skullnick. Like a hot librarian type with a riding crop." Said another male student.
"Why do you guys keep assuming it's a woman? I'm hoping it's a hot stud with abs." Said a female student.
"Or it might just be some old man with hearing problems." Said another male student.
"Oh shut up!" The female student exclaimed.
Marco just ignored everyone's gossip, and tuned everyone out.
Marco nearly dozed off, but he had to quickly shake his head to stay awake. He's rarely ever had a sleeping problem before, and ever since he kept waking up in the middle of the night after each dream, he's starting to feel the effects of losing sleep.
He felt himself jolt a little in his seat at the sound of the classroom door handle turning, but calmed down once realization caught up with him, and he lowered his head as he rested his forehead in his hands.
That's when the substitute walked in, but Marco wasn't paying attention at the moment.
"Good morning everyone, please settle down so I may take attendance." Spoke a woman with a smooth posh accent.
One that sounded eerily familiar to Marco.
Marco's eyes widened, and his head shot up in alarm. Currently, the substitute is writing her name on the board with her back facing towards the class. But when she turns around to face the class, he's then met with a somewhat familiar sight.
Standing in front of the class is a woman that's at least two inches taller than Marco with pale white skin, black curly hair that reached just above her shoulders, purple eyes, purple lipstick, purple eyeshadow, burgundy lipstick, dark purple dress, purple leggings, and black heels that give her an extra inch in height.
But seeing the striking resemblance to the vampire woman in his dreams practically gave Marco an instant heart attack right before she introduced herself.
"JESUS!" Marco exclaimed, falling right out of his seat in alarm, and landed flat on his back.
Marco is now lying on his back with his right hand grasping the area of his chest where his heart is, which is pounding like crazy, and his eyes are wider than dinner plates while he's trying to control his hyperventilating.
All attention is on him now, but he doesn't care.
"Are you alright?"
Marco flinched, and clenched at his heart, once the substitute asked if he was alright as she came into his view. His eyes darted left to right as he tried to come up with an answer.
"Uuuh... I thought I saw a... bat." He said.
'Seriously? That's the best I could come up with?' Marco thought to himself.
The substitute teacher raised a brow at that.
"A bat? I didn't see a bat." She questioned.
"Y-yeah, a bat. I-I've been having sleeping problems lately, and I might've hallucinated it." Marco explained, hoping she bought it.
Fortunately for him, she seemed to buy it.
"Oh. Very well then. Hopefully you get this issue sorted out so it's not gonna be a daily occurrence." She said.
She straightened her posture, and returned to the front of the class to introduce herself.
"Now as I was going to say, My name is Mrs. E, and I'll be filling in for Miss Skullnick while she's away." The substitute introduced herself, now known as Mrs. E.
"Any questions?" She asked.
No one raised their hands.
"Alright, then I'll start off with attendance, and we'll pick up where Miss Skullnick left off. But unlike her, I'm not allowing anyone to fall asleep." Said Mrs. E, sounding more stern at the last bit.
For a minute, her stare felt ice cold, and it sent an uneasy chill down everyone's spines. So yeah, no one felt the need to sleep in class anymore. Heck, even, Janna, turned her game off, and put it away.
Just as soon as the icy stare appeared, it turned back into the soft welcoming gaze she had the moment she walked into the room.
"Now let's begin." She said.
Class... oddly felt like actual class.
No one fell asleep, everyone paid attention, and even Janna was behaving. It's probably because their substitute teacher gave both an aura of welcoming, and firmness.
But Marco couldn't shake the feeling that that stare wasn't a stern stare... but a stare that's meant to instill fear.
Marco mentally pushed that thought away, and chalked it up as him being paranoid. He had to power through his fatigue in order to write down notes, and pay attention to whatever math problem that's being taught.
But while he was taking notes, he overheard some of the male classmates whispering to each other.
"I can't believe it! She's one of the hot ones." One of them whispered.
"I know! Hot damn!" Another whispered.
"Not to mention that accent. Oh man, it just gives me goosebumps in all the good ways." A third whispered.
"Just because someone hallucinated a bat, doesn't mean I don't have the ears of one." Mrs. E spoke up suddenly.
She's giving the three boys a cold stare with a blank face that made them freeze in place with embarrassment, and their faces went pale. The atmosphere between them felt so suddenly tense with a temperature drop, that even Marco felt uneasy... and he wasn't even part of this!
The three boys remained silent for the remainder of class, and Mrs. E sat at Miss Skullnick's desk to do paperwork while the class did their work.
At least Marco can finally focus on the lesson Mrs. E was teaching. But after awhile, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. He looked up from his schoolwork to see who it was, but found that none of his classmates were staring at him.
They either looked back down when he looked their way, or it could've been nothing but paranoia.
But when he focused back on his work, the feeling came back.
When he looked up again, this time he could've sworn that he saw the teacher's purple eyes look back down at her paperwork. She wore a small smile upon her face.
That glimpse of her gaze on him gave Marco an uneasy chill as well as goosebumps, so he returned to focusing on his work.
The feeling came back.
Marco whipped his head back up, and saw her gaze switch back to her work within a second.
Her smile still present.
Marco was starting to feel increasingly uneasy.
He tried to focus on his work again, but the feeling returned.
He looked up, and the same thing happened.
He tried to focus again, but the feeling came back again, and the same thing happened again.
He tried to focus, and he just looked up without feeling that being watched feel. This time he didn't catch her eyes on him, and he returned to his work. But just to double check, Marco looked up again, and this time caught her full on staring at him!
Marco could feel his face go cold as he could feel the blood drain from his face. He's caught in a mini staring match, and neither of them blinked. It felt like an hour, when it was really only a couple of minutes, until she blinked, and finally spoke.
"Do you need something, Marco?" She asked, that ever present small smile never leaving her face.
Marco felt a cold sweat coming on when she spoke.
"N-no thanks. I-I'm good for now." Marco stuttered nervously.
She stared at him for a second before she responded. "Ok then. Just let me know if you do." She said casually, returning to her work. That smile still present.
Marco breathed a silent sigh of relief, and returned to his work. That feeling didn't return afterwards.
...
Ok, this looks like a good place to stop for now.
Sorry for leaving you all high and dry since I haven't been active lately. I've been busting my ass lately, especially with this chapter.
Anyways, hopefully this chapter is enjoyable for you fans of the bloodsuckers. Especially since October is around the corner by the time I get this posted.
Oh! I also have a vampire Amphibia story on my Wattpad account. So I was wondering if you guys wanted me to post it here as well. Let me know if you're interested.
As always, stay tuned.
