On the Night Of Eternal Darkness, Spyro must prevent Gaul, The Ape King, from resurrecting the Dark Master. I do not own the Legend Of Spyro series. I only own my OCs. Whirlwind fulfill Cynder’s role in this story (Ronald x Cynder, Ignitus x Aquafa, Terrador x Minerallayas, Liefvos x Siltia). Please do not read this until you read The Legend Of Spyro: A Shining New Beginning.

9. Chapter 9

Spyro started on the Ancient Grove's Entrance.

Then Spyro walked four steps forward and saw twelve creatures that look like the Fire Beetles.

"What are those?" Spyro asked.

"Those are Grove Mites. Grove Mites are related to the Fire Beetles and just like the Fire Beetles, the Grove Mites have gone mad because the Ape King's forces invaded this forest and poisoned this forest with dark magic and then left the area." The Enemy Describer said.

"Then that means I will have to defeat them even if I don't like it." Spyro said.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twelve Grove Mites.

Then Spyro turned left and walked until he reached the stream of poisonous waters.

Then Spyro jumped over the stream of poisonous waters and landed on the other side.

Then Spyro turned right and walked twelve steps forward.

Then Spyro turned slightly right.

Then Spyro started using Dragon Time and time slowed down.

Then Spyro jumped off the ground and then landed on the big shell and then turned left and jumped off the big shell and landed on the bush of the branch and then turned slightly right and jumped off the bush of the branch and then landed on the ground.

Then Spyro turned right and walked until he reached the stream of poisonous waters.

Then Spyro double jumped over the stream of poisonous waters and then flew to the other side and then landed on the other side.

Then Spyro turned right and walked on the path until he got in the middle of the grassy cliff.

Then Spyro turned slightly right and walked eight steps forward.

Then Spyro double jumped off the cliff and then landed on the first bush of the first branch and then double jumped off the first bush of the first branch and then landed on the second bush of the second branch and then double jumped off the second bush of the second branch and then landed on the third bush of the third branch and collected the first Scriber's Quill.

Then Spyro started using Dragon Space and made the branches stop moving.

Then Spyro turned around and then double jumped off the third bush of the third branch and then landed on the second bush of the second branch and then double jumped off the second bush of the second branch and then landed on the first bush of the first branch and then double jumped off the first bush of the first branch and then landed on the grassy cliff.

Then Spyro stopped using Dragon Space and space returned to normal.

Then Spyro walked eight steps forward and then turned slightly and walked on the path until he got in a room.

Then Spyro walked to the twelve Grove Mites.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twelve Grove Mites.

Then Spyro turned left and walked four steps forward and then turned right and walked four steps forward and then turned left and walked four steps forward.

Then the earthquake started.

Then two logs fell down and landed on the path, blocking Spyro's way.

Then a big log fell and landed in between the gap, above the gap.

Then two Death Hounds and two Death Bobcats appeared.

"What are Death Hounds and Death Bobcats doing here?" Spyro asked.

"I don't know. But they can't be up to anything good!" Sparx said.

"Sparx is right, Spyro. It is most likely that Haul sent those Death Hounds and those Death Bobcats to try and stop you from finding that tree in your dreams." The Enemy Describer said.

"Then I will have to defeat them!" Spyro said.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the two Death Hounds and the two Death Bobcats.

Then two Death Hounds and two Death Bobcats smashed through the two logs and then ran to Spyro.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the two Death Hounds and the two Death Bobcats.

Then Spyro walked on the path until he got in another room.

Then four more Death Hounds and four more Death Bobcats appeared.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the four Death Hounds and the four Death Bobcats.

Then twelve Grove Mites appeared.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twelve Groves Mites.

Then Spyro walked four steps forward and then turned left and walked on the path until he got in another room.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twelve Grove Mites.

Then Spyro walked to the bark and then attacked the bark six times.

Then the bark broke apart and the extra big log fell and smashed a part of the wooden fence, enabling Spyro to move ahead, and the log landed on the other side of the ground.

Then Spyro double jumped and landed on the stump and then turned around and then turned slightly left and jumped off the stump and then landed on the first bush of first branch and then turned right and jumped off the first bush of the first branch and then landed on the second bush of the second branch and then turned left and double jumped off the second bush of the second and flew and collected the first Magical Relic and then turned slightly right and then turned around and flew to the ground and landed on it.

Then Spyro walked to the stump and double jumped and landed on the stump and then turned slightly left and jumped on the long and then walked on the log and got to the next land.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twelve Grove Mites.

Then Spyro double jumped over the poisonous waters and landed on the land where the Grove Mite Nest is.

Then Spyro attacked and destroyed the Grove Mite Nest.

Then Spyro jumped on the stump and then jumped on another stump and collected the second Scriber's Quill.

Then Spyro jumped and flew and landed in front of the entrance in a bark.

Then Spyro walked and entered the bark and walked to the twelve Grove Mites.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twelve Grove Mites.

Then Spyro walked and exited the bark and walked until he reached a lake of poisonous waters.

Then Spyro started using Dragon Time and time slowed down.

Then Spyro turned slightly left and jumped off the landed on the first moving-up-and-down platform and then turned jumped off the first moving-up-and-down platform and then landed on the second moving-up-and-down platform and then turned left and jumped off the the second moving-up-and-down platform and then landed on the third moving-up-and-down platform and then jumped off the third moving-up-and-down platform and then landed on the still platform.

Then Spyro stopped using Dragon Time and time returned to normal.

Then Spyro turned slightly and waited for four hundred eighty seconds.

Then Spyro started using Dragon Time and time slowed down.

Then Spyro jumped off the still platform and landed on the fourth moving-up-and-down platform and then turned right and jumped off the fourth moving-up-and-down platform and then landed on the fifth moving-up-and-down platform and then turned left and jumped off the fifth moving-up-and-down platform and then landed on the sixth moving-up-and-down platform and then turned slightly left and jumped off the sixth moving-up-and-down platform and then landed on the seventh moving-up-and-down platform and then turned right and jumped off the seventh moving-up-and-down platform and then landed on the next land.

Then Spyro turned slightly right and walked on the path until he got close to a bark.

Then Spyro turned slightly right and jumped on the ledge and then turned left and then walked to the bark.

Then Spyro attacked the bark six times.

Then the bark broke apart and then the extra big log fell and landed in between the gap.

Then Spyro turned left and double jumped off the ledge and flew to the next ledge and then landed on it.

Then Spyro walked four steps forward and then turned right and walked on the extra big log until he got to the end of the extra big log.

Then Spyro turned left and then turned slightly left and double jumped off the extra big log and then landed on the first bush of the first branch and then turned slightly right and double jumped off the first bush of the first branch and then landed on the second bush of the second branch and then double jumped and flew to the third bush of the third branch and then landed on the third bush of the third branch and then turned left and double jumped off the third bush of the third branch and then flew to the fourth bush of the fourth branch and then landed on the fourth bush of the fourth branch and then turned slightly right and double jumped off the fourth bush of the fourth branch and flew to the fifth bush of the fifth branch and then landed on the fifth bush of the fifth branch and turned slightly right and double jumped off the fifth bush of the fifth branch and flew to the sixth bush of the sixth branch and then landed on the sixth bush of the sixth branch and then turned slightly right and double jumped off the sixth bush of the sixth branch and flew to the seventh bush of the seventh branch and then landed on the seventh bush of the seventh branch and collected the third Scriber's Quill.

Then Spyro double jumped off the seventh bush of the seventh branch and then landed on it.

Then Spyro walked on the path until he was four steps away from the lake of poisonous waters.

Then six worms came out of the lake of poisonous waters.

"Who are they?" Spyro asked.

"They are Groveworms." The Enemy Describer answered.

"Groveworms?" Spyro asked.

"Yes, Groveworms. They are related to the Magmaworms. And just like the Magmaworms, they are not supposed to be enemies, but since the Ape King's forces took over the Ancient Grove, the Groveworms got mad and attacks anyone who enters their home." The Enemy Describer said.

"Then I must defeat them even if I don't want to hurt them." Spyro said.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the six Grove Worms.

Then Spyro walked four steps forward and then double jumped off the land and then landed on the first big and wide platform.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twelve Grove Mites.

Then Spyro walked four steps forward and attacked and destroyed the column.

Then Spyro turned right and walked four steps forward and then double jumped off the first big and wide platform and then landed on the second big and wide platform.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twelve Grove Mites.

Then Spyro walked to the column and attacked and destroyed the column.

Then Spyro turned left and walked four steps forward and then double jumped off the second big and wide platform and then landed on the first short and tall platform and then jumped off the first short and tall platform and then landed on the second short and tall platform and then double jumped off the second short and tall platform and then landed on the third big and wide platform.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twelve Grove Mites.

Then Spyro walked to the column and attacked and destroyed the column.

Then Spyro turned left and walked four steps forward and then double jumped off the third big and wide platform and then landed on the third short and tall platform and then double jumped off the third short and tall platform and then landed on the fourth big and wide platform and then turned right and walked four steps forward and then landed on the next land.

Then Spyro turned right and walked four steps forward and then turned left and walked on the path until he was four spaces away from the vines.

Then four Death Hounds and four Death Bobcats smashed through the vines and ran to Spyro.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the four Death Hounds and the four Death Bobcats.

Then Spyro continued walking on the path until he saw a strange beast.

"What's that? I know I have seen those beasts before in the Swamp before I got to the caves and met Ignitus for the first time but what is that beast?" Spyro asked.

"That's a Growth and the ones in the Swamp were Growths too." The Enemy Describer answered.

"Growths?" Spyro asked.

"Yes, Growths. They were normally harmless before the Ape King's forces took over the Ancient Growths and the Swamp but not anymore. But I guess you already defeated the Growths in the Swamp before you met Ignitus for the first time." The Enemy Describer answered.

"And I hurted them without feeling sorry for them in the Swamp." Spyro said sadly.

"It's okay, Spyro, you didn't know that they were harmless, you only knew that they were enemies that you have to defeat." The Enemy Describer said.

"What about the Bulb Spiders in the Swamp and in the Dragon Temple before I got rid of the Dark Master's forces?" Spyro asked.

"The Bulb Spiders were harmless too but not anymore since the Dark Master's forces are still wandering around." The Enemy Describer answered.

"Yet, I still hurted them without feeling sorry for them." Spyro said sadly.

"It's okay, Spyro. You didn't know that they were harmless." The Enemy Describer said.

"What about the Frog Weeds?" Spyro asked.

"The Frog Weeds were harmless too but not anymore since the Dark Master's forces are still wandering around." The Enemy Describer answered.

"Yet, I still hurted them without feeling sorry for them." Spyro said sadly.

"It's okay, Spyro. You didn't know that they were harmless." The Enemy Describer said.

"What about the Toad Weeds?" Spyro asked.

"The Toad Weeds were harmless too but anymore since the Dark Master's forces are still wandering around." The Enemy Describer said.

"Yet, I still hurted without feeling sorry for them." Spyro said.

"It's okay, Spyro. You didn't know that they were harmless, and besides, you have a good reason for hurting them." The Enemy Describer said.

"I did?" Spyro asked.

"Yes, you were really worried about Whirlwind and decided to go after to try to prevent her from leaving. The Toad Weeds know this and are resting in peace now." The Enemy Describer said.

"But why were Ronald and Cynder so mean to Whirlwind? I thought that Ronald was a Nice Guy and that Cynder was a Nice Gal so why were they so mean to Whirlwind?" Spyro asked.

"Because Nice Guys and Nice Gals have limits." The Enemy Describer said.

"Nice Guys and Nice Gals can have limits?" Spyro asked.

"Yes, Nice Guys and Nice Gals can have limits. Ronald's limit and Cynder's limit have been reached. Ronald and Cynder have a good reason for being mean to Whirlwind since they wouldn't have been in a Forbidden Love if it wasn't for Whirlwind making a deal with Ronald's parents." The Enemy Describer answered.

"But it wasn't all Whirlwind's fault." Spyro said.

"Yes, I know. But maybe they could have known if Aquafa and Minerallayas have just let Ronald and Cynder go to Whirlwind's Lair." The Enemy Describer said.

"Why are Aquafa and Minerallayas so overprotective of Ronald, Cynder, Sunburn, Camo, and Zap?" Spyro asked.

"Because they failed to protect the eggs in both raids and they don't want Ronald, Cynder, Sunburn, Camo, and Zap to get hurt or to lose them." The Enemy Describer answered.

"Wait, I know Ronald said that he felt bad about hurting the Bulb Spiders, but I didn't understand until he told me that we were normally harmless but that made me confused as the Bulb Spiders attacked me when I was trying to find my true home but now I really understand that the Bulb Spiders were actually harmless since you told me that they were harmless before the Dark Master's forces took over the Swamp and the Dragon Temple but how does Ronald actually know that?" Spyro asked.

"Because Ronald defeated the Bulb Spiders once before." The Enemy Describer answered.

"Can you tell me about it?" Spyro asked.

"Sure, but only after you defeat the Growth. I'm sorry, Spyro, but you can not move ahead unless you defeat the Growths." The Enemy Describer said.

"Then I will defeat them even if I don't like it." Spyro said.

Then Spyro walked to the Growth.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the Growth.

"There I defeated the Growth, so can you tell me about Ronald and the Bulb Spiders?" Spyro asked.

"Sure, but I can also show you the video of it." The Enemy Describer said.

"How?" Spyro asked.

"I'm not just the Enemy Describer, I'm also the Video Capturer." The Enemy Describer said.

"Let me tell you how it began…" The Enemy Describer said.

Then a video appeared with Cynder waking up when she was ten years old on May 29, 1996.

"It first began with Cynder." The Enemy Describer said.

"But what does Cynder have to do with it?" Spyro asked.

"I'm getting to that but just watch the rest of the video." The Enemy Describer said.

Then Cynder exited her room and walked to Ethan and Kris.

"Dad and Mom, I'm going to the Swamp!" Cynder said.

"Okay, Cynder! Good luck!" Ethan and Kris said.

Then Cynder exited her house and saw Sunburn and Camo.

"Hi, Cynder!" Sunburn and Camo said.

"Hi, Sunburn and Camo!" Cynder said.

"It's such a nice day, isn't it?" Sunburn and Camo asked.

"It sure is!" Cynder answered.

"And because it's a nice day, we were thinking of going to the Feron Beach. Would you like to come with us?" Sunburn and Camo asked.

"I'm sorry, Sunburn and Camo, but I have my own plans. I'm going to the Swamp!" Cynder said.

"Then it's all right, Cynder. Good luck!" Sunburn and Camo said.

Then Cynder walked on the path until she saw Zap.

"Hi, Cynder!" Zap said.

"Hi, Zap!" Cynder said.

"It's a great day, isn't it?" Zap asked.

"It sure is!" Cynder answered.

"And because it's a great day, I'm going to go camping with my parents in Geron Woods! So would you like to come with us?" Zap asked.

"I'm sorry, Zap, but I have my own plans. I'm going to the Swamp!" Cynder said.

"Then it's all right, Cynder. Good luck!" Zap said.

Then Cynder walked on the path until she reached a spot and saw Ronald, her best friend.

"Hi, Cynder!" Ronald said.

"Hi, Ronald!" Cynder said.

"It's a perfect day, isn't it?" Ronald asked.

"It sure is!" Cynder answered.

"And because it's a perfect day, I'm going to the Chime Fields and watch birds migrate. Would you like to come with me, Cynder?" Ronald asked.

"I'm sorry, Ronald, but I have my own plans. I have my own plans. I'm going to the Swamp!" Cynder said.

"Then it's all right, Cynder. Good luck!" Ronald said.

Then Cynder walked until she got in the Baram Village Square and saw the rest of the citizens except for Ronald's parents, Sunburn's parents, Camo's parents, and Zap's parents.

"Hi, Cynder!" The citizens said.

"Hi, everyone!" Cynder said.

"It's a wonderful day, isn't it?" The citizens asked.

"It sure is!" Cynder answered.

"That reminds us, where are you going today?" The citizens asked.

"I'm going to the Swamp!" Cynder answered.

"We see. Good luck!" The citizens said.

Then Cynder flew off and headed to the Swamp.

"Was Cynder going to the Swamp to meet me?" Spyro asked.

"That was what Ronald, Sunburn, Camo, Zap, her parents, and the other citizens thought but look what happens next." The Enemy Describer said.

Then the citizens looked up at Cynder to see where she was going.

Then when Cynder got halfway across the Silver River, she stopped flying straight but kept flying.

"Now that I am far away, I can go to where I really wanted to go!" Cynder said.

Then Cynder turned right and started flying to somewhere else in that direction.

The citizens were confused.

"Where is Cynder going? I thought she was going to meet the Purple Dragon, so why is she going in that direction?" The citizens asked.

Then the citizens realized something.

"That sneaky and tricky Cynder! She's going to the Treasure Grove!" The citizens said.

"What should we do?" A citizen asked.

"Let's hope that Cynder succeeds but let's tell Ronald when he comes back!" Another citizen said.

Then Cynder flew all the way to the Treasure Grove and then flew down and landed on the Treasure Grove's Entrance.

Then Cynder walked along the path until she got in a room and saw ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder fought and defeated the ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder walked and walked along the path until she got in another room and saw ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder fought and defeated the ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder walked and walked along the path until she got in another room and saw ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder fought and defeated the ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder walked and walked along the path until she got in another room and saw ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder fought and defeated the ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder walked and walked along the path until she got in another room.

"I think I should take a rest here, so I can continue on." Cynder said.

Then Cynder laid down and slept.

Meanwhile, at the Baram Village Square, the citizens were getting worried for Cynder.

Then Ronald entered the Baram Village Square.

"Hello, everyone. Is something the matter?" Ronald asked.

"Yes, we're worried about Cynder." The citizens answered.

"Why? Cynder's not going to somewhere dangerous, so why are you worried about her?" Ronald asked.

"Did Cynder tell you where she was going?" The citizens asked.

"Yes, Cynder told me that she was going to the Swamp. She probably wants to meet the Purple Dragon." Ronald answered.

"That was what we thought too but she didn't go to meet the Purple Dragon as she stopped halfway across the Silver River and then turned right and flew off to somewhere else." The citizens said.

"Then where did Cynder go to?" Ronald asked.

"Cynder went to the Treasure Grove!" The citizens answered.

Ronald was shocked.

"Treasure Grove?! But at Treasure Grove at this time of year… No! This is ruinous! Cynder is in grave danger! I better head to the Treasure Grove immediately!" Ronald said.

Then Ronald flew off and headed to the Treasure Grove.

Meanwhile, back in the fifth room in the Treasure Grove, Cynder woke up after resting for one hundred twenty seconds and stood up.

"I already took my break, now I can continue on!" Cynder said.

Then Cynder walked and walked along the path until she got in another room and saw ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder fought and defeated the ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder walked and walked along the path until she got in another room and saw ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder fought and defeated the ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder walked and walked along the path until she got in another room and saw ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder fought and defeated the ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder walked and walked along the path until she got in another room and saw ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder fought and defeated the ten Small Apes.

Then Cynder walked and walked on the path until she got in the final room.

"I've made it to the tenth room and I can see lots of treasure! There's one thousand gold coins, one thousand silver coins, and one thousand bronze coins! I'm just going to collect those coins and get out of this place!" Cynder said.

Then Cynder walked four steps forward.

"You! Why are you here?! Are you trying to take our territory?!" A voice asked.

"No, I'm not!" Cynder answered.

"Silence! Those who try to steal our territory will suffer a great consequence!" The same voice said.

"Who are you?! Show yourself!" Cynder said.

"Very well! Then I will show myself along with the others!" The same voice said.

"Others?" Cynder asked.

"Come on out, guys!" The same voice said.

Then eight Bulb Spiders came out of the bushes, four from the left bush and four right from the right bush, and then landed on the ground and then turned and faced Cynder.

Then a giant Bulb Spider landed on the ground.

"I am the Bulb Spider Leader! Those who try to invade our territory will be destroyed! For your insolence, you will feel a world of pain!" The Bulb Spider Leader said.

Then Cynder fought and defeated the eight Bulb Spiders and the Bulb Spider Leader but they were only down on the ground.

Then the eight Bulb Spiders and the Bulb Spider Leader got up.

"You! You dare?!" The Bulb Spider Leader asked.

"Wait! I didn't come here to make claims on your territory!" Cynder said.

"Enough! Take this!" The Bulb Spider Leader said.

Then the eight Bulb Spiders and the Bulb Spider Leader launched at Cynder.

Then Cynder screamed.

"Stop!" A familiar voice said.

Then Cynder saw Ronald grabbing the eight Bulb Spiders and the Bulb Spider Leader in his hands.

"Stay back, Cynder! Let me handle this!" Ronald said.

Then Ronald attacked the eight Bulb Spiders and the Bulb Spider Leader and they went flying in the air and then landed on the ground.

Then the eight Bulb Spiders and the Bulb Spider Leader got up.

"You! If you're going to protect that dragon then you're going down first!" The Bulb Spider Leader said.

"Then try it!" Ronald said.

Then Ronald fought and defeated the eight Bulb Spiders and the Bulb Spider Leader.

"We lost." The Bulb Spider Leader said.

Then the eight Bulb Spiders and the Bulb Spider Leader got destroyed.

Then Ronald turned around.

"Are you okay, Cynder?" Ronald asked.

"Yes, I'm fine, thanks to you. Thank you for saving me, Ronald." Cynder said.

"You're welcome, Cynder." Ronald said.

Then Ronald and Cynder blushed, signifying that they have fallen in love with each other.

"Why did you come here anyway? You know that the Bulb Spiders are harmful now because you read about them before in the Baram Village Library." Ronald said, still blushing.

"I'm sorry, Ronald, but I didn't believe that book so I came here to find the treasure because I thought that book was telling lies but it wasn't telling any lies, it was telling the truth and now I got them killed because you fought them to save me." Cynder said, still blushing.

"It's okay, Cynder, because I feel bad too for hurting them but the most important thing is that you're safe, Cynder, because you are the most important creature to me." Ronald said, blushing.

"Thanks, Ronald." Cynder said, still blushing.

"You're welcome, Cynder." Ronald said, still blushing.

"Are you mad at me, Ronald?" Cynder asked, still blushing.

"No, I'm not mad at you, Cynder. I could never be mad at you but I'm kinda upset that you were hiding the truth from me." Ronald answered, still blushing.

"I'm sorry, Ronald, I won't hide the truth from you again. Next time, I will tell you the truth and not hide it, I promise!" Cynder said, still blushing.

"I forgive you, Cynder, and I'm glad to hear that. And next time, if you don't believe a book then please come to me and ask me and I will tell you everything myself." Ronald said, still blushing.

"I will do that!" Cynder said, still blushing.

"Then let's go back to Baram Village!" Ronald said, still blushing.

"But before we go, can we take the coins?" Cynder asked, still blushing.

"Sure." Ronald answered, still blushing.

"You can take more coins than me, Ronald, because you saved me." Cynder said, still blushing.

"Thanks, Cynder, but I will like it to be fair like us having half of each kind of coin." Ronald said, still blushing.

Then Cynder grabbed five hundred bronze coins and put them in her bag and then grabbed five hundred silver coins and put them in her bag and then grabbed five hundred gold coins and put them in her bag.

"There. Now, you can have the others." Cynder said, still blushing.

Then Ronald grabbed the other five hundred bronze coins and put them in his bag and then grabbed the other five hundred silver coins and put them in his bag and then grabbed the other five hundred gold coins and then put them in his bag.

"There, I have the other coins, so are you ready to go now, Cynder?" Ronald asked, still blushing.

"Yes, I am!" Cynder answered, still blushing.

"Then let's go back to Baram Village!" Ronald said, still blushing.

Then Ronald and Cynder flew off and headed back to Baram Village.

Then the video ended.

"So, that's how Ronald and Cynder fell in love with each other! Ronald pulled a Rescue Romance!" Spyro said.

"Yes, Spyro, that's how Ronald and Cynder fell in love with each other." The Enemy Describer

"This isn't right. Ignitus said that this place was uninhabited." Spyro said.

Then Spyro turned left.

"We must have taken a wrong turn." Spyro said as he walked four steps forward.

"All those in favor of turning back?" Sparx asked as Spyro closed his eyes and collapsed on the ground on his left side and went to sleep and the Scavengers heard the noise and looked at the tree.

Then Sparx was shocked that Spyro went to sleep again.

"Aye! It came from over there! Go see what it is!" The Medium Scavenger said.

Then the three Small Scavengers started walking towards the path.

"Oh (Burp) not now." Sparx said.

"Buuuurrrrrrhhhhhhh!" Sparx burped.

Meanwhile, in Spyro's dream, Spyro woke up and got up.

"It's cold here." Spyro said.

Then Spyro ran to the end of the medium platform and then jumped off the medium platform and flew to the big platform with a light blue circle in the middle of the altar and then landed on the big platform with a light blue circle in the middle of the altar.

Then Spyro walked four steps forward and then jumped on the altar's ring.

"Chronicler? Are you there? I've done what you've asked of me. But I'm afraid I'm lost." Spyro said.

"As long as the spirits of the ancestors are with you, you are never lost. Calm yourself, Spyro, and cool your thoughts." The Chronicler's voice said.

Then Spyro jumped on the altar and then turned a little slightly left and then walked to the middle of the light blue circle and then turned slightly right.

Then Spyro closed his eyes and light blue light enveloped him.

"Do not let your fire or your water control you. There are other elements at play here. The power of ice also moves through you, just as the chilled winds whip through your wings. Let it… expand!" The Chronicler's voice said.

Then Spyro got on his hind legs and then went up in the air and opened his eyes and shot out an Ice Ball, reawakening his ice element.

Then Spyro landed on the circle.

"I knew you'd remember. Life seeks out balance, young dragon. And one who can master fire, water, and ice is truly powerful in the shifting face of danger." The Chronicler's voice said.

Then three small floating platforms appeared in front of Spyro, behind the ice barrier and behind the big platform.

Then a mountain appeared in the pool.

"This is an evil place, Spyro. It is called the Mountain Of Malefor… asylum to the wandering phantoms and the spirits of those who had turned to darkness. But to the spirits themselves and the black hearted, it goes by another name…" The Chronicler's voice said.

Then a terrible kinglike Ape appeared in the pool with an army of Apes along with his general, Haul.

"The Well Of Souls." The Ape King said.

Spyro gasped.

"That's the Ape King!" Spyro said.

"It sure is." The Chronicler's voice said.

"Ronald and Cynder knew about it because I heard them say the name of the mountain when I was talking about my dreams to my friends and the Guardians." Spyro said.

"Ronald and Cynder are clever and wise creatures. They would research stuff about anything that pipes up an interest to them. The Montagues, The Capulets, The Lemvahues, The Phantoms, and The Ghouls are evil spirits that came from that very place. That is why Ronald and Cynder knew about the Mountain Of Malefor. A perfect couple who cares more about each other than their own selves and who also puts others before themselves… that's the kind of perfect couple that Ronald and Cynder are." The Chronicler's voice said.

"I know that Ronald and Cynder are a perfect couple because it's a wonderful sight to see them so happy and in love with each other." Spyro said.

"Glad to hear that, Spyro. But before you go, there is something that I must warn you about. There is an antagonist group that should be familiar to you up ahead" The Chronicler's voice said.

"Who?" Spyro asked.

"I can't say the name but I can give you a hint. The place where you fought the Savage Soarer." Chronicler's voice said.

"What are The Montagues, The Capulets, The Lemvahues, The Phantoms, The Ghouls, and the Dark Master's forces doing here?! Let's get rid of them!" Snowfall, Mink, and Crystal said.

"Oh, by the way, if you see the Purple Dragon Spyro and you defeat him and capture him, then you will get 2000000000 dollars! He will pay for defeating and hurting our mom, Queen Glacier" Snowfall, Mink, and Crystal said.

"Uh, Chronicler? Are you there? Can please tell me why this place is so frightening? Did Ronald, Cynder, Sunburn, Camo, and Zap fail their own mission?!" Spyro asked, frightenedly.

"Please straighten yourself, Spyro. You won't be able to control the ground element if you are too frightened." The Chronicler's voice said.

Then Spyro jumped on the altar and then turned a little slightly left and walked to the middle of the altar and then turned slightly right.

Then Spyro closed his eyes.

"You already have the power of grass. All plants need sunlight and water to grow but there is one thing that it needs for it to grow and that is dirt. The power of ground will help nourish the power of grass because the ground carries the nutrients that plants absorb to stay alive. The power of grass helps keep the power of grass alive so the power of grass can keep your other elements in check. Now, Spyro, feel the soil slither through your body and then let it go." The Chronicler's voice said.

Then Spyro got on his hind legs and then went up in the air and opened his eyes and shot out a Ground Ball, reawakening his ground element.

Then Spyro landed on the circle.

"This element was reawakened due to your tough nature. Now, feel the signals and follow them, Spyro." The Chronicler's voice said.

Then three small floating platforms appeared in front of Spyro, behind the ground barrier and behind the big platform.

Then a vision of Ronald, Cynder, Sunburn, Camo, and Zap appeared in the pool.

"You see, Ronald, Cynder, Sunburn, Camo, and Zap are doing fine and have already completed their mission as they are already in the Gem Campgrounds." The Chronicler's voice said.

"I love you, Cynder." Ronald said.

Then Ronald and Cynder moved their mouths closer to each other and kissed. They were kissing for sixty minutes and then they pulled apart.

"Aww, they're still so cute together." Spyro said.

"They sure are. Even Sunburn, Camo, and Zap think so." The Chronicler's voice said.

"I have a question: I know that Sunburn and Camo stole the Crystal Gears because they wanted to save Cynder because they cared for her a lot along with Zap but not as much as Ronald does because Ronald loves Cynder but did Zap do it just for Cynder?" Spyro asked.

"No, Zap did it also for Ronald." The Chronicler's voice said.

"Can you please explain it?" Spyro asked.

"When Zap heard that Ronald gave up his freedom for Cynder, he went to the library to deduce what was Whirlwind going to do to Ronald and found that Whirlwind might corrupt Ronald into her devoted servant but denied the possibility of it happening. But when the corrupted Ronald tricked Cynder into following him to Ronald's Mountain, Zap followed them and saw the corrupted Ronald corrupting Cynder into his devoted servant and because of Zap's secret friendship with Ronald, he knew that Ronald wouldn't trick or corrupt Cynder and made the conclusion that Ronald was corrupted into Whirlwind's devoted servant, so he decided to get the Crystal Gears to save both Cynder and Ronald." The Chronicler's voice said.

"Then why would Zap say that Cynder was corrupted by Ronald if he knew that Ronald was harmless?" Spyro asked.

"Because that is Ignitus told him to say along with Volteer, Cyril, and Terrador to the purple dragon even if they didn't want to because that is what the Book Of Time said." The Chronicler's voice said.

"Thanks for telling me this." Spyro said.

"You're welcome, Spyro. But before you go, there is something that you must be warned about. There are Montagues, Capulets, Lemvahues, and Phantoms up ahead." The Chronicler's voice said.

Then Spyro's dream ended.

"Sparx? Sparx? Sparx, where are you?" Spyro asked.

"Learning the Ground Whirlwind sure reminds me of Whirlwind. Did Ignitus find Whirlwind yet? I really wish that I could have helped search for Whirlwind but I have to find the tree in my dreams. I really hope Ignitus can find Whirlwind before the Ape King's forces do. I am really worried about her." Spyro said.

Then Sparx went to Spyro.

"Spyro, I'm outta shape." Sparx said.

Then the Fire Wing, the Water Wing, the Ice Wing, the Electric Wing, the Grass Wing, the Ground Wing, and the Shadow Wing flew down and then landed on the ground.

"What have we here? It's the Purple Dragon Spyro! But where are Ronald, Cynder, Sunburn, Camo, and Zap?!" The Shadow Wing asked.

"If you're looking for the perfect couple, Ronald and Cynder, and Sunburn, Camo, and Zap then you're in the wrong place because they are not with me. They are in the Gem Campgrounds. Oops." Spyro said.

"Ronald, Cynder, Sunburn, Camo, and Zap are in the Gem Campgrounds?! Then scratch the plan of finding them and killing them!" The Shadow Wing said.

"Why are you scratching your plan?" Sparx asked.

"Because there's a force field that kills evil forces around the Gem Campgrounds and the Spooky Forest." The Shadow Wing answered.

"Then it's a good thing that I said that." Spyro said.

"It sure is. But I heard you talking about Whirlwind to yourself. Where is she? She needs to pay for her betrayal!" The Shadow Wing said.

"I don't even know where Whirlwind is because she just left the Dragon Temple and left the area." Spyro said.

"Humph! Then it doesn't matter! First, we will take care of you! Defeat him and then kill him!" The Shadow Wing demanded.

Then the Fire Wing, the Water Wing, the Ice Wing, the Electric Wing, the Grass Wing, and the Ground Wing ran to Spyro.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the Fire Wing with a Fire Shot.

Then Spyro walked to the Shadow Wing Leader.

"Be careful, Sparx! There must be more Dreadwings up ahead!" Spyro said.

Then Spyro walked until he reached a stream of poisonous waters.

"Hey, look! It's Spyro, a supporter of Ronald's and Cynder's love! Let's defeat him and then kill him!" The Montagues, The Capulets, The Lemvahues, and The Phantoms said.

Then the four Montagues, the four Capulets, the four Lemvahues, and the four Phantoms ran to Spyro.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the four Montagues, the four Capulets, the four Lemvahues, and the four Phantoms.

"Sparx, be careful! There must be more Montagues, Capulets, Lemvahues, and Phantoms up ahead." Spyro said.

"Why are Snowfall and Doomful talking to each other? Why are Mink and Comet talking to each other? Why are Crystal and Jewel talking to each other?" Spyro asked.

Then Spyro realized something.

"The Ice Realm Dragons and the Night Realm Dragons must be working together!" Spyro said.

Then Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel turned to Spyro.

"You again?! You have been a great pain in our side! Normally, we would make you face both Ice Realm Dragons and Night Realm Dragons at the same time but that wouldn't be fair because you are the only one here so we would do something different." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

Then Crystal and Jewel threw balls and the balls landed on the ground and twenty four Ice Minions and twenty four Night Minions appeared.

"Get Spyro!" Crystal and Jewel demanded.

Then the twenty four Ice Minions and the twenty four Night Minions ran to Spyro.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twenty four Ice Minions and the twenty four Night Minions.

Then Mink and Comet threw balls and the balls landed on the ground and twenty two Ice Grunts and twenty two Night Grunts appeared.

"Get Spyro!" Mink and Comet demanded.

Then the twenty two Ice Grunts and the twenty two Night Grunts ran to Spyro.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twenty two Ice Grunts and the twenty two Night Grunts.

Then Snowfall and Doomful threw balls and the balls landed on the ground and twenty Ice Admins and twenty Night Admins appeared.

"Get Spyro!" Snowfall and Doomful demanded.

Then the twenty Ice Admins and the twenty Night Admins ran to Spyro.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twenty Ice Admins and the twenty Night Admins.

"Impressive. We should have expected it since you defeated the Dreaded Driver and the Savage Soarer as well as Lrocier and Glacier in our own kingdoms." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"Are the Ice Realm Dragons and the Night Realm Dragons working together?" Spyro asked.

"Yes, we are." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"This makes me confused as Ignitus said that the Ice Realm Dragons and the Night Realm Dragons are sworn enemies who hated each other." Spyro said.

"Well, Ignitus wasn't wrong there because we were sworn enemies but we stopped being enemies because of the Dark Army." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel answered.

"Are you going to go back to being enemies?" Spyro asked.

"We doubt it." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"It's true. Once sworn enemies become friends and allies with each other then they would not become enemies again." The Enemy Describer said.

Then Spyro nodded.

"Why do you want to capture Growths anyway?" Spyro asked.

"We're not just looking for Growths so we can capture them, we're also looking for Growth Beasts so we can capture them too." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"Why do you want to capture Growths and Growth Beasts? Don't you know that they were harmless before the Dark Army invaded the Ancient Grove and then corrupted it with dark magic?" Spyro asked.

"Yes, we do know that and Lrocier and Glacier know that too but they said that the Growths and the Growth Beasts must be captured to protect all of the villages' citizens and the Crystal Gears' Guardians, Lifeya, Deathsa, the Dragon Guardians of the Dragon Temple, and the six heroes." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"What about Whirlwind?" Spyro asked.

"We don't know that yet." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"Okay. But do you hate the Dark Army?" Spyro asked.

"Yes, we do." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel answered.

"Do you also hate The Montagues, The Capulets, The Lemvahues, The Phantoms, and The Ghouls?" Spyro asked.

"Yes, we do." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel answered.

"I can see that because you fought and defeated The Montagues, The Capulets, The Lemvahues, The Phantoms, The Ghouls, and the Dark Master's forces when they were fighting each other." Spyro said.

Then Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel nodded.

"But who are those mutts?" Spyro asked.

"They're a group of pirate-like villains called Scavengers. We hate them as well." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"What about the bird-like beasts? What are they called?" Spyro asked.

"They're called Skurvywings. They are part of the Scavengers too and they function like the Dreadwings of the Ape King's forces." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel answered.

"Thanks for telling me this." Spyro said.

"You're welcome, Spyro." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"What are the Scavengers looking for?" Spyro asked.

"The Scavengers are looking for a tree monster named Arborick. There are rumors that Arborick lives in this area but nobody knows if it is real or just a story but we think it is real." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

Then Spyro nodded.

"Why are you here anyway?" Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel asked.

"I am looking for a great tree that I saw in my dreams." Spyro asked.

Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel were shocked.

"Why do you want to find this great tree?" Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel asked.

"Because the Chronicler's voice in my dreams told me to come and seek him and showed me this great tree in the pool in my dreams." Spyro answered.

"The Chronicler?" Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel asked.

"Don't tell me that you are going to do the same thing as the Guardians." Sparx said.

"Do you six know him?" Spyro asked.

"We know about the Chronicler but we have only heard stories of him just like the Taler and the Fabler but we found out the Taler and the Fabler were real after you did. So we had some doubts about the facts of the Chronicler's tales. But this makes us wonder that maybe the Chronicler is real. But tales of the Chronicler are often mixed with tales of doom so nobody talks about him, even Ronald, Cynder, Sunburn, Camo, and Zap knows this because one day Glacier and Lrocier came to the village and read to them the tales of the Chronicler and donated some of their copies to the Baram Village Library. Then Cynder wanted to hear it again and asked Ronald to read it to her and then Ronald read it to her because he loves her and wants to make her happy even if he didn't want to." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

Then Spyro nodded.

"Well, there is a great tree up ahead but be careful!" Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

Then Spyro walked eight steps forward.

"Since you have impressed us, Spyro, we will help you fight the Scavengers and the Dark Army. But before we give you our transmitters, we will give you some healthy snacks." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

Then Snowfall gave Spyro a container of snowberries.

Then Doomful gave Spyro a container of mulberries.

Then Mink gave Spyro a container of bananas.

Then Comet gave Spyro a container of papayas.

Then Crystal gave Spyro a container of mangos.

Then Jewel gave Spyro a container of peaches.

"You can eat those fruits if you end up getting captured again with no way out." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"Thanks, Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel." Spyro said.

"You're welcome, Spyro." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"But where am I supposed to put these containers?" Spyro asked.

"I can do it, Spyro." The Enemy Describer said.

Then the Enemy Describer took out its storage.

"You can put the containers in here, Spyro, because the storage cannot be damaged or destroyed by enemies' attacks." The Enemy Describer said.

Then Spyro looked at the Enemy Describer:

"But won't the fruit turn rotten?" Spyro asked.

"No, they won't, Spyro. Those are special containers that prevent the fruits from getting rotten and the containers cannot be damaged or destroyed by enemies' attacks." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

Then Spyro put the containers in the storage.

Then Spyro looked back at Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel.

Then Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel gave Spyro transmitters.

Then Spyro put the transmitters on the Enemy Describer.

"Those transmitters will call us and the other Ice Realm Dragons and the other Night Realm Dragons and we will come help you when you press the buttons." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"Thanks, Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel." Spyro said.

"You're welcome, Spyro. And we already know we told you this but be careful and make sure that the great tree doesn't turn out to be the tree monster that Scavengers are looking for because if it is then you will get captured by them and it won't be easy to escape their own hideouts because they are villains and will make you fight against other prisoners in their hideouts." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"I will!" Spyro said.

Then Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel turned around and used their breaths and destroyed the debris and then turned back around.

"Now, you can go ahead." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

"Thanks, Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel." Spyro said.

"You're welcome, Spyro." Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel said.

Then Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel turned around and then flew off to somewhere.

Then Spyro walked four steps forward and then walked on the path until he got in another room.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the twelve Small Apes.

Then twelve more Small Apes appeared.

Then six Medium Apes appeared.

Then the female dragon shot out Pink Fire Balls, Pink Water Balls, Pink Grass Balls, Pink Ground Balls, Pink Ice Balls, Pink Electric Balls, Pink Earth Balls, and Pink Metal Balls and destroyed the Apes' Submarines.

"How did you shoot out Ground Balls? I thought Purple Dragons can only learn the ground element!" Spyro said.

"Well that's true but my father was a Purple Dragon too while my mother was a Pink Dragon so that's why I can shoot out Ground Balls. I can shoot out any element in different colors too. So, I will be leaving now." The female dragon said.

Then the female dragon left the area.

"Wait! The dragon is gone! I am pretty sure that I will see her for real sooner or later. I better collect that Relic." Spyro said.

Then Spyro walked four steps forward and collected the Health Relic.

"Thank you, the mysterious ally who saved me from Sunburn, Camo, and Zap." Spyro said.

Then Spyro walked four steps forward and then walked on the path until he reached a ledge and then jumped on the ledge and then jumped on another ledge and then continued walking until he got in a room.

Then two Growth Beasts appeared.

Then Spyro walked to the two Growth Beasts.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the two Growth Beasts.

Then another Growth Beast enters the room and starts walking to Spyro but ends up falling in the poisonous stream and drowns and gets defeated.

Then Spyro turned left and walked until he reached the stream of poisonous waters.

Then Spyro walked and exited the room inside the giant tree and then entered another room inside the giant tree.

Another Note: When the Ice Realm Dragons and the Night Realm Dragons get defeated, they don't disappeared, get killed, or get destroyed. Instead they go back up and then fly away back to their own homes to train.

Another Note: Unlike in The Legend Of Spyro: The Eternal Night, the Dreadwings and the Shadow Wings are fought here too. Also unlike the original, there are also Fire Wings, Water Wings, Ice Wings, Electric Wings, Grass Wings, and Ground Wings. Fire Wings can only be defeated by the fire element, Water Wings can only be defeated by the water element, Ice Wings can only be defeated by the ice element, Electric Wings can only be defeated by the electric element, Grass Wings can only be defeated by the grass element, and Ground Wings can only be defeated the ground element.

Another Note: More Realm Dragons are revealed; the Sand Realm Dragons, the Rain Realm Dragons, the Sea Realm Dragons, and the Sky Realm Dragons. Another Note: Qibli and Kinkajou can only destroy debris because they're the only ones introduced in this chapter. (Sand Realm Dragons can breathed out only ground breaths and Rain Realm Dragons can breathed out only grass breaths).

Another Note: Turtle and Carnelian can only destroy debris because they're the only ones introduced in this chapter. (Sea Realm Dragons can breathed out only water breaths and Sky Realm Dragons can breathed out only fire breaths).

Another Note: Qibli, Kinkajou, Turtle, and Carnelian don't approve of Lrocier's way of making Spyro fought the Dreaded Driver and also don't approve of Glacier's way of making Spyro fought the Savage Soarer and wanted to help him but didn't as they knew the consequences of those actions.

Another Note: The Ice Minions, The Night Minions, The Ice Grunts, The Night Grunts, The Ice Admins, and The Night Admins makes their reappearance in this chapter. (Number of each of them is the number of them that Spyro had to face in the tournament in The Legend Of Spyro: A Shining New Beginning).

Another Note: Spyro learns that evil group that he encountered first are called The Scavengers from Snowfall, Doomful, Mink, Comet, Crystal, and Jewel.

Another Note: After Spyro impresses them, Snowfall, Mink, Comet, Crystal, Jewel, the Ice Realm Dragons, and the Night Realm Dragons helps Spyro and can destroy cars, airplanes, and ships with their breaths.

Another Note: The mysterious ally who saved Spyro from Sunburn, Camo, and Zap returns here but it is out of sight and reveals herself to be a female dragon and helps Spyro by getting the Health Relic and destroying the Apes' submarines.

Another Note: The Bulb Spiders in the flashback of Ronald and Cynder were Cynder's first boss battle and were also Ronald's first boss battle after Cynder battled them. These Bulb Spiders made Cynder cancel her actual plans of going to the Swamp to meet the Purple Dragon but before she did, she and Ronald went to the Dragon Temple and asked Ignitus, Volteer, Cyril, Terrador, Aquafa, and Minerallayas how many Bulb Spiders are in this swamp and they answered thirty two and also told that there are thirty two Swamp Spiders in the Swamp and this caused Cynder to cancel her plan of meeting the Purple Dragon.
