Chapter 47: A Great Story
1633, ?
"… And they lived happily ever after." Zelda said with a smile as she closed the book she held in her hands, looking away from it to look at the listeners.
Before her were fifty creatures.
All of them had gray skin, though they were all in groups of ten, so there were five groups.
Ten had insect like appearances, having armor like shells on their backs and shoulders, with six insect like wings hidden under the shells on their backs connected to a whip-like tail. They had horns from their heads, reminiscent of a rhinoceros beetle. They had a
These were called B-Sprites.
Ten of them were short, heavy-set slimy creatures with slug eye stocks. They all had six tentacle limbs. They were rotund, flabby creatures, their feet barely visible under them with a single slimy tail.
These were called B-Dwarves.
Ten of them were as tall as normal humans, though they were extremely thin. Though from their elbows to their hands were thicker and coated in red fur, their hands being a tint of green. They had tusk like teeth pointing out of their bottom jaws. They had a crown of bone protruding from their foreheads looking like horns. They had a single red-orange tail with unique spike like protrusions from them.
These were called B-Elves.
The next of the group were the largest. They had paler skin than the others, each with four horns on their heads. They had massive muscled bodies and walked on all fours like a gorilla, though this was a design choice. Their backs had vent like holes, looking like small volcanos, for a purpose.
These were called B-Trolls.
The last group were the smallest, barely bigger than the hand of a full-grown adult human. They looked like small racoons, possessing a tail that was bushy. They were all covered in a curse mark pattern and had unique yellow eyes with a unique star pupil.
These were the B-Gnomes.
And together, they were the B-Creatures.
'Another, another, another…' The B-Gnomes chanted with their telepathy, jumping up and down, making Zelda giggle.
"I am sorry, but we have a big day tomorrow, so we need to go to sleep." Zelda said to them, seeing them sigh. "Oh, don't look at me like that."
'Okay.' All fifty creatures replied before they left.
Zelda smiled as she stood up, holding the book to her chest as she walked to the library.
"Zelda."
The female devil looked up and saw her husband, Zolgia, staring at her.
The last three centuries had not been good for the scientist.
He now looked his age, being frail and thin, his eyes sunk into their sockets. His clothes baggy and dragging to the floor when he walked toward her.
"Yes, dear?" She asked nervously, his stare being unsettling.
"You are reading to them… again." He asked, his irritation not hidden at all as he looked down the hall, seeing the B-Creatures walking down it to their resting quarters.
"Yes, but its my reward to them…"
"They are not people, nor are they children." Zolgia cut her off, his anger now in his tone. "Zelda, we shall continue our yokai testing."
Zelda's eyes widened, massive guilt resurfacing.
"But… but we agreed yokai testing wasn't working…" Zelda stammered.
"It was, but with our associates, we have a new formula." Zolga stated as he handed her a notebook. "Start tomorrow."
Zelda took the book.
The book, while small, felt heavy.
Sins stacked upon sins were flooding her mind.
Images of all the women they had kidnapped for their… Zolgia's goal flashed in her head as she looked at Zolgia's back.
"Also, if you continue to read to the creatures, there will be consequences." Zolgia threatened as he moved to his lab.
Zelda heart cracked as she gripped the notebook.
"O-of course, dear." She replied, biting her lip hard enough to cut into it, her blood dripping from her lip.
Next day…
Zelda scooped out small amounts of the Tailed Beast chakra, a small tray holding colanders containing samples from all of them.
Beside her, nine B-Trolls were carrying nine containment units full of liquid.
She felt a pull on her dress, causing her to look down.
At her feet were three of the G-Gnomes, one of them holding another children's book.
'Read, read, read…' They chanted in happiness, having been looking forward to Zelda reading to them all day.
"I can't read to you, I am busy." Zelda stated coldly as she returned her attention to the colanders. "Go back to work."
She felt another tug, her chest becoming tight.
"GO BACK TO WORK!" Zelda snapped at the B-Gnomes, catching the attention of the B-Trolls as the B-Gnomes flinched.
Zelda's face, albeit neutral, wanted to break as the look of betrayal and confusion covered the B-Gnomes faces before they scampered off.
Zelda turned to the B-Trolls, who were still looking at her.
"What are you looking at?" Zelda demanded, pointing toward the next room. "Put the containers in their places and then get back to work."
The B-Trolls, being simple creatures, whimpered in fear at Zelda's tone, as they did as she ordered before going returning to their other work.
Once alone, Zelda took a knee, biting her lip to keep her cries silent as her tears drenched the floor.
'I am sorry… I am so sorry…' she thought in guilt.
Nine B-Elves entered the room, dragging a frantic yokai women (Wearing hospital gowns) and strapped them to tables.
Zelda wiped her tears away and straightened herself out before approaching the woman, dismissing the B-Elves.
"What are you going to do to us?" the yokai demanded in fear.
"That is none of your business." Zelda said in a cracked voice.
She moved the tray over to the nine tables, and grabbed the first vial, which was full of Shukaku's chakra.
Zelda pulled out the notebook, and with the new formula, used magic to alter the chakra into genetic material.
With hesitation, Zelda inserted the material into the womb of the woman, repeating this act with the different chakra samples with the compatible women.
Zelda stepped back, and waited for ten minutes.
She watched as the women cried in pain, their wombs wreathing and frothing like liquid.
Chakra bubbled around them, each of them 'gaining' a number of tails from this before they went silent, eyes white as they foamed at the mouth as they chakra receded.
Zelda prepared a scalpel as she walked to the first woman.
Making an incision, Zelda cut her open to get to her womb.
Blood spurted, coating Zelda in it. The only part of her that flinched were her eyes to keep the blood from obscuring her vision.
She reached in and removed an embryo the size of a heart.
Acting quickly, she opened the first container and placed the embryo inside, activating it upon closing.
Zelda repeated this action eight more times until she stood before nine full containers with young children.
'This liquid that our associates gave us should help slow down their growth.' Zelda thought before wiping her eyes.
She turned to the corpses.
Zelda could have called for the B-Trolls to take care of them, but she took responsibility.
She piled them up, by hand, and carted them to the furthest room.
The doors opened and she swallowed a heavy lump.
Nameless tombstones entered her field of vision.
Many were mothers, the rest were failed attempts at Zolgia's goal.
One by one, Zelda dug the graves and buried the women.
Zelda's heart beat in reckless abandon as she could not stop herself from crying.
September, 1633, Asgard…
"… and you believed that shit?" Naruto asked Odin in disbelief as he yanked the sword out of Fenrir's mouth.
He was currently in Asgard, wanting to spend time with the Aesir, only to find the wolf, who was now an adult and MASSIVE, had been bound by the magical cloth Gleipnir.
Fenrir, who was thankful he could move his extremely sore jaw, growled at Odin as Naruto attempted to removed Gleipnir.
"There was a prophecy that Fenrir would kill me." Odin stated as he grabbed Naruto's wrist. "In Ragnarök, Fenrir…"
"You ever think that if you DON'T do this, he would not want to kill you?" Naruto interrupted as he tugged at Gleipnir, his vein's bulging as he struggled to break the cloth restraint.
Odin didn't have a real answer to Naruto's question as Naruto entered Sage Mode and strained his muscles to the point he entered Kurama mode.
"DAMN… IT…" Naruto grunted in anger as he expelled his chakra into the ribbon as he exited Kurama mode.
Gleipnir absorbed the chakra before it disintegrated.
"Oh… that is… surprising…" Naruto said in confusion.
"It might have been because the cloth was not made to hold back chakra, that it overloaded and destroyed it." Odin stated in nervousness as Fenrir got up and stretched his limbs after the last few decades being tied up.
He glared at the All Father, who drew Gungnir.
"Okay, that is enough." Naruto said as he stepped in between Fenrir and Odin, staring into the wolf's eyes.
Odin, in his wisdom, stood down.
He was a seeker of knowledge, and in all his years seeking said knowledge, Odin learned that Naruto was very persuasive.
Fenrir, however, did not back down, bearing his fangs even at Naruto for daring to defend Odin.
"Fenrir…" Naruto said calmly as he reached out and touched the wolf's nose. "Do you want to prove them right? If you attack, then the Aesir will be validated in them sealing you away."
Fenrir growled as he thought about Naruto's words.
"What about Tyr?" Naruto asked in a sad tone.
Fenrir's demeanor softened at the name of the God of War.
Tyr, and Naruto, were the only two who would play with him as a puppy. The latter whenever he could visit.
Fenrir remembered that day.
The day the Aesir tricked him into a 'contest' to prove his strength by restraining him.
After he broke the first two restraints, the Aesir left him alone for a short time before bringing Gleipnir.
Unlike the other two, Gleipnir was a delicate looking cloth.
Suspicious of their actions, Fenrir stated he would only do this if one of them would put their arm in his maw, to bite off if he could not break free.
His suspicions were nearly confirmed when all hesitated. All but Tyr.
Tyr bravely sacrificed his arm when Fenrir couldn't break free, and as he left, Fenrir could see his anguish of betraying him.
Fenrir took a deep breath before exhaling, sitting on his haunches and shrinking down to a smaller size.
"Good boy." Naruto praised as he patted Fenrir's head, who smiled and jumped Naruto, wrestling with the Sage for a short while before they got up.
"So, this prophecy, it states Fenrir kills you?" Naruto asked as he petted Fenrir, who enjoyed it.
"Yes, but they never said how." Odin replied as he knelt down. "Fenrir, I am sorry, I don't expect forgiveness, but I still apologize."
Fenrir, who was willing to move on, knew he would never forgive the Aesir.
He rolled his eyes and put up his paw, to which Odin took and shook as a sign of accepting his apology.
"Now, what about you, Naruto?" Odin asked as he stood up. "Don't you remember? There is a prophecy about you as well."
"Oh yeah…" Naruto said as he remembered the prophecy that was given centuries prior.
Flashback…
"What else you going to scare me with, Odin?" Naruto demanded as he got up, picking up his chair.
Odin smirked.
He snapped his fingers and the Manifestation of Prophecies appeared.
"What shall I help with today, Lord Odin?" M.o.P. asked as it took the form of wisps of smoke with darker areas resembling eye sockets and a mouth, with tiny limbs acting as arms.
"Naruto, this is the Manifestation of Prophecies." Odin informed Naruto. "When I collect them, I put them inside it, storing them for further use later on. So, Proph, is there anything you can tell Naruto concerning his future?"
M.o.P. hummed as it faced Naruto, who sat back down and didn't look impressed.
"I don't have to know anything about my future." Naruto informed. "If I know what will happen…"
M.o.P. went stiff, their eyes and mouth glowing orange before it let out a haunting wail.
"For the child whose palms bear the Sun and Moon, life as you know shall change." M.o.P. stated in an eerie tone. "Enemies thought defeated shall arise, your kingdom shall live, blood not spilled. In turn, a tan beauty awaits at the end of the road."
Naruto blinked as M.o.P. blinked, the orange glow vanishing.
Flashback End…
"If you have paid attention, I haven't gotten that 'Tan Beauty' that the M.o.P. talked about." Naruto said as he stood up, Fenrir following him and getting up as well.
"Like with my prophecy, it never said when or how." Odin sarcastically retorted to Naruto. "Now, come, we have a feast for your visit."
"Yeah, Hilda and Lucoa may be tired of me being away." Naruto said in slight concern.
The three of them had come to Asgard for a social visit, but the moment Naruto heard of Fenrir's binding, Naruto left his girlfriends with Freya.
Fenrir chuckled at Naruto's predicament.
"Not funny, mutt." Naruto snipped.
Fenrir and Odin couldn't help but laugh as they neared the massive city of Asgard.
That Night…
Lucoa drank water as Hilda and Naruto drank pints of ale, all three of them partying with the Aesir.
"Say~" Thor drunkenly slurred as he pointed at Naruto, who slammed his empty mug on the table before grabbing to mutton legs, throwing one to Fenrir, who was cautiously allowed back into Asgard at Naruto's persistence. "You said once you fought… ct-cth-ulu…"
"Cthulu." Lucoa corrected as she laughed.
"Yeah… that thing…" Thor lulled, eyes unfocused as he walked up to Naruto, everyone's attention focusing on the drunk blond and the thunderer. "SO… how did you kill it…"
"Oh, that is… actually quite funny." Naruto said as he sat up, trying to look professional, though he swayed in his seat.
Flashback…
Naruto and Cthulu stared at each other.
"Sage of Creation and Destruction, why have you come to my home under the water?" Cthulu asked curiously.
"You attacked my family." Naruto stated as he prepared to fight. "And I came to see what you looked like, and I have to say, not impressed by the squid face and draconic wings."
Cthulu chuckled at these words before turning around.
"I am not sorry for the attack, but it was only entertainment." It said as he walked back in.
Naruto frowned angrily.
Instantly, Isobu charged up a tailed beast bomb and blasted Cthulu's back.
The elder god was struck, the bomb detonating.
Chunks of gooey slime and sludge flew everywhere in the water, but Cthulu quickly reformed, facing Naruto.
"If you won't accept my mercy," He stated as he stepped out of his home again. "Then I shall grant you a painful suffering."
"Bring it, bitch!" Naruto stated as he was ready to fight.
Cthulu whipped its arms around, creating underwater whirlpools with enough force to pull Isobu into it.
"DAMN!" Naruto shouted as he was whipped around, the water dispersing Isobu.
"GYAAAAAAAAAAGH!" the turtle gasped as he faded away, leaving Naruto unprotected.
Naruto, now drenched in the freezing water under tons upon tons of water pressure, gasped. Bubbles of air expelled from his mouth before a large one bellowed out and formed around his head.
*Gasp* "Thanks…" *GASP* "Saiken…" Naruto thanked as he was able to breathe again, with the little amount he had starting to vanish from his panicked breathing.
Cthulu chuckled as he stretched his arms out, hands around Naruto.
Naruto's Truth Seeker Orbs merged into a large blob and surrounded him in a sphere as Cthulu's hands closed around him to kill him.
'I don't have much time here.' Naruto thought, trying to still his breathing so he would not have to resurface. 'Damn, if only…'
Naruto gripped his left arm… what was left of it.
'If I didn't use Chibaku Tensei against Cipactli and given up my arm, then I could just seal this bastard away.' Naruto thought in anger as he had no way to defeat Cthulu without collateral damage to the planet.
"Actually, there IS a way to defeat him." Gyuki spoke calmly, wanting to help Naruto as Cthulu continued to attempt to squash them in his hands.
'What is it, Gyuki?' Naruto replied, willing to try anything.
Cthulu grew angry at the black sphere in his hands that protected Naruto.
'This strange black substance is able to negate my body's ability to spread madness.' Cthulu noted as he could not break it. 'But if I can drown him, it won't be glorious victory, but a victory none the less.'
Cthulu threw the sphere, allowing it to drift to the ground.
He waited, prepared for any kind of assault Naruto could come up with.
He saw the black orb separate back into the nine smaller orbs, revealing Naruto with the bubble on his head, much smaller than before.
Cthulu was prepared to fight, but didn't expect Naruto to use Isobu to flee back to the surface.
"In my watery depths, or under the rays of the sun," Cthulu called out as his wings propelled him forward with an amazing force, surpassing Naruto, who's eyes were wide. "THERE IS NO HOPE FOR YOU! NOW DROWN IN MY MADNESS!"
Cthulu's arms wrapped around Isobu, making the turtle grunt as the arms restrained him.
Naruto smirked, which didn't go unnoticed.
"What's so funny, Sage?" Cthulu demanded as he got in closer, its body ensnaring more of Isobu.
"It's funny…" Naruto chuckled as he glared at Cthulu right in its eyes. "Because I forgot how we ninja excel in the art of deception. Because I have you right where we want you."
Naruto inhaled nearly all of his oxygen, his cheeks puffing out.
He exhaled, spewing black ink into the water, blinding Cthulu.
"AAAAGH YOU LITTLE BASTARD!" Cthulu shouted, releasing his grip on Isobu slightly.
Naruto pulled back his right arm, ending his tailed Beast state, Isobu vanishing.
"SHINRA TENSEI!" Naruto shouted, thrusting his palm forward.
Using a chunk of his remaining chakra, Cthulu erupted from the water, into the air, Naruto following suit with the bubble popping allowing him to breath normally.
"Now, Creation of All Things!" Naruto shouted as he created an arm of chakra to substitute his left arm, clapping them together.
He separated his hands, the chakra forming into a large amber urn with the kanji for 'Lightning' on it. It had a thick large rope tied around it with a wooden lid.
"Kohaku no Johei!" Naruto and Gyku said in unison.
Flashback, within a flashback…
'What is it, Gyuki?' Naruto replied, willing to try anything.
"We need to make force that thing out of the water." Gyuki explained, becoming deadly serious. "That way we can seal it away."
'I don't think your Fuinjutsu: Octopus Hold will work on that thing.' Naruto replied as he felt Cthulu toss the protective sphere.
Naruto remembered when he and Killer B fought Obito's Six Paths, which were the deceased Jinchuriki of Matatabi, Isobu, Son Goku, Kokuo, Saiken, and Chomei.
B had attempted to use this sealing technique to seal them away, since it works within three seconds, so pretty effective.
But it failed due to the fact the Jinchuriki entered the version two state of their tailed beast cloaks, blowing the ink off of them in the process.
Gyuki shook his horned head, though he remembered that day too.
"That isn't what I was going to say, Naruto." Gyuki informed as he readied his explanation. "We need it out of the water so we can create a Kohaku no Johei."
Naruto's eyes widened.
"Go on." Naruto said as he was ready.
Flashback, within a flashback, End…
Cthulu, having no clue what the Pot was, was confused as he unfurled his wings to sustain flight as Naruto used two chakra arms from his back to grab the Kohaku no Johei and open it, revealing it to be empty.
"WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO DO WITH THAT LITTLE THING!" Cthulu shouted as Naruto looked up at him.
"HEY, FACE FUCK, TENTACLE MONSTER, CTHULU!" Naruto shouted as loud as he could, Gyuki already having told Naruto how the Kohaku no Johei worked.
A vein bugled on Cthulu's forehead as water still fell from his body.
"WHAT!" Cthulu responded.
Naruto smirked.
'Just as planned.' Naruto thought as the inside of the pot started to glow a bight yellow.
Cthulu felt a strong vortex suction of wind graze his body.
"WHAT?" he cried out as he turned to fly out of the radius of the vortex, but he couldn't move.
He was dragged down closer to the ocean surface, with his back being torn into liquid as it touched the pot.
Cthulu was sucked completely into the pot, now a viscus black liquid.
"How… HOW COULD YOU…" Cthulu demanded, it's tentacled face forming in the moving liquid, barely able to stay formed.
"Ingenuity…" Naruto gasped as he nearly dropped out of Six Paths Sage Mode. "Experience… And…" He lifted the wooden lid, making Cthulu audibly gulp. "The fact you didn't take this serious. Those are the reasons why you lost."
"Wait…" Cthulu begged as Naruto went to seal the Kohaku no Johei shut. "WAIT, DON'T…"
Naruto placed the lid tightly onto the pot.
He took a knee, but his chakra flickered unstably before he fell out of his Six Paths mode and sank into the water, the Kohaku no Johei in his clutches as Lucoa, who had witnessed Naruto's victory, flew down and grabbed the tired man.
Flashback End…
"BOOOOORING!" Thor declared as Naruto finished, a majority of the Aesir having passed out from how much alcohol they had consumed. "You suck… and here I wanted to fight you…"
Naruto rolled his hazy blue eyes as he stood up, Lucoa keeping him from falling with Hilda on her left arm.
"I guess it is time for us to go to sleep." She said with a laugh.
"Lady Lucoa…" Gondul said, having had no alcohol, was awake. "I'll lead you to the guest room."
Lucoa, with her eyes closed, quirked an eyebrow.
"I am surprised you are even working, Gondul." Lucoa pointed out as she looked at Gondul's pregnant stomach. "So, boy or girl."
Gondul didn't answer, gesturing for Lucoa to follow her.
Lucoa followed Gondul to a guest room.
"For your question, it's a boy." Gondul said as she bowed and left, smiling a bit as she rubbed her stomach.
Lucoa smiled as she put Naruto and Hilda on the bed, stripping them naked.
'I want a baby.' Lucoa thought before she stripped herself nude and got into bed.
Chapter 47, DONE!
I had lots of fun with this chapter.
Honestly surprised more people in chapter 46 didn't realize Naruto sealed Cthulu away.
Hopefully this fight was fun. I had to rewatch the episode of Naruto Shippuden where Darui used the Kohaku no Johei.
The B-Creatures were based off of the Genomorphs of Young Justice, love this show, so I recommend it.
Anyone who knows where this is going, don't spoil it in the reviews, I want new comers to enjoy the story without spoilers.
