"So, when would I be returning? Not that I am agreeing to return." Harry asked

"Well, that's the trick now isn't it, we have several choices but it depends on how much say you want in your life and the way you plan to handle things." Fate replied in a happier voice

"Wait you are going to give me the choice? Why would you do that? What do you get?" Harry asked confused.

"Of course, you get a say, it's your life I only care that you complete your fate, meaning kill that snake faced bastard and majority of the death eaters. My wife really would love it if you kissed you soul mate, though I will warn you it I potential that you have two but you second one all but fades from the possibility after your fifth year."

"Well than who's my soul mate?"

"…"

"…'

"…"

"…"

"You're kidding with that question, right?" Fate asks while staring at Harry. "Oh, gods you are serious, those compulsions must have been even stronger than I thought, if she didn't jump right to the front of your mind."

"Well do I know her at least?"

"Think about someone who has always been there, someone who would do anything for you…"

"Hermione"

"Very good, you are so smart truly." Fate responded dryly

"Hey the sarcasm isn't helping." Harry replied

"I'm actually sure that it is, it is helping me not beat you with a stick named common sense. Because if there is someone who needs a beating to stimulate growth it is you."

"I'm sorry that I never really considered Hermione as a girlfriend." Harry stated irritably

"Of course you have, every time you let a smile cross your face when you see her, with every hug, EVERY HEAD SLAP, you fall for her just the compulsions prevented you from recognizing the feelings, so you couldn't act on it."

"All the more reason not to go back, we can be at peace now, we can be happy, we can be away from war."

"Don't you remember that I can't heal bodies?"

"What do you mean? Oh GODS! NO! YOU CAN'T MEAN SHE WILL HAVE TO STAY LIKE THAT!"

Fate hit something on his desk. "Send her in" the door opened in crawled Hermione.

Harry lunged for her, knocking his chair over in the process, but when he went to touch her, she flinched away. "Hermione, it's me, Harry" she paused then slowly brought her hands to his face, that's when Harry saw the damage done to her face. Her face was covered with damage inflicted by Belatrix's knife, the worst being a looping scar starting at her temple going through her eyebrow over one her brown eyes curling down to the corner of her mouth.

Fate sighed "She has lost vision in one of her eyes, and the damage makes it difficult to speak. She doesn't feel the pain from the injures but it is still damaging."

Harry stared at fate with tears rolling down his face "What do I have to do? I will go back if only to prevents this from being her fate."

Fate smiled softly "Then let's get you trained."
