Harry's eyes opened with a start to find himself staring at a familiar red canopy, he sat up opening his curtains, looking around to see if anyone else was there. His eyes locked onto Neville, sitting in his bed reading a book that was holding his interest. At a second quick glance he confirmed that they were alone, he turned back to Neville. "Hey, Neville"

Neville glanced up to see Harry "OH, Hi, Harry. How are you doing. I mean after everything that happened?"

"Honestly, calmer than I should be. I mean I just wanted a normal year you know."

Neville snorted "Yeah Harry, nothing around you is normal, but you should know I believe you."

Harry smiled at that "Thanks Neville, it means more than you know. Now I need to talk to you, it's important."

Neville' grin faded slightly "Harry is everything ok?"

Harry quickly grabbed his wand and checked the room for listening charms, grimacing as he found several around the room but majority on his things. His clothes were covered in them along with tracking charms, the problem was that they came from several different people so he was unable to identify who had cast them. Once he had destroyed them, he cast the strongest privacy ward there were, turning back to Neville who looked at him with utter confusion. Taking a deep breath "Why have you never talked with me about the alliance between our two families?"

Neville's eyes widened "Ron, said you didn't want hear about it, that you blamed my family for your parents dying. That you were planning to destroy the alliance as soon as you came of age. Plus, through Dumbledore as your regent we heard you planning to enter into a alliance with the Weasleys, that you were going to solidify it with a marriage. And that you never wanted to hear about any of the going ons within the Alliance."

Sucking in a hard breath, scowling with anger "I never said that, trust me never. I only discovered the alliance last night; I had no idea about any of this I didn't even know about House Potter."

Neville gaped at him "WHAT! HOW? We were told you were getting all the training done to take your houses lordship."

Harry stared at him before softly asking "You were told? Who told you?"

"Dumbledore my gran has talked to him several times over the years, mainly to try and get custody of you."

"I never knew that. You mean we were…" Harry's head whipped to the door feeling his privacy wards breeched.

Only for a brown bushy head poked in "There you are, I have been looking for you we have tings to do so get dressed."

Harry smiled "Yes, dear." Turning back to Neville "You heard her get dressed you are coming with us. Neville, we need you to trust us we are going to change things. Now I know you have a lot of questions but we have to move quickly, so if you trust me at all know that we are trying to prevent some very dark things from happening. I promise to explain everything but for now just trust us, please."

Neville looked at him with narrowed eyes as if searching for any sign of deception. "Harry, you have never lied to me, I trust you."

Hermione smiled "I will see you both in the common room."

Ten minutes later they appeared and quickly left Gryffindor tower together. Walking together towards a one-eyed witch statue. "Neville, I am going to show you one of the secret passages of Hogwarts. This particular one leads to Honeydukes basement but we don't need to go that far."

"What do you mean Harry, where are we going?"

"Not here wait until the tunnel."

Walking to the back of the statue Harry points his wand at is dissendium opening the passage. They all quickly climb inside.

Harry then points his wand at both of them "I need to check you for tracking charms and…"

"And listening charms." Finished Hermione "I have already checked myself."

"I did myself as well, so that leaves just you Neville" Turning to point his wand directly at Neville and starting to check him for any charms finding some placed on him. "So, there was one on your belt and one on your shoe."

Neville looked quite startled at this "You both aren't making any sense, I might not be the smartest guy, but even I can tell something is off with the both of you and it is scaring me so what is going on?"

Harry and Hermione exchanged a look, sharing a mental argument with Hermione swiftly won. Sighing Harry turned back to Neville "Nev, I have never lied to you and I promise I will not lie unless it is absolutely necessary. Now that being said I will tell you as much as I can but I might not be able to share everything I have made oaths that may prevent things." Neville looked at them both with complete bewilderment than quickly drew is wand "Who are you, because Harry is not like this, and he never would address Hermione as dear."

Harry actually smiled at that. "Well spotted Nev. Now I will tell you only part of this tale because we really do need to go. Hermione and I are both ourselves I promise." Putting his magic in the words causing a flash, Neville's jaw slacked at his willingness to provide a magical oath. Harry started to chuckle at the sight only to be quickly cut off by Hermione smacking him hard on the head, "OW, what was that for?"

"HARRY JAMES, you absolute idiot. What if magic interpreted you words different; you could be dead. Don't ever make an oath like that again."

Harry shrank a bit at the anger rolling of his girlfriend, only to realize that there was fear mixed in with the anger, looking in her eyes and seeing the fear that his death would do to her made him quickly apologize. "Mione, I am truly sorry, I didn't even consider that I was just trying to prove without any doubt to Nev." He pulled her into his arms as she took some deep breathes to compose herself.

Turning back Neville "Sorry about that some things are still very fresh for her."

"What is fresh for her?"

"That is part of the story but we don't have the time we need to go. So, this is your last chance are you going to trust me or do you want to go back?"

Neville glanced back down the tunnel where they had come from before turning back to Harry "Where a Potter goes a Longbottom guards his back. We have stood with Potters for almost a thousand years that wont change now. Lead on."

Harry clapped Neville on the shoulder drawing him in. "You honor me with your trust. So, you ready?"

"For?"

Harry turned on the spot disappearing, bringing his two companions with him.
