The Alpha Timeline
~The Alpha Timeline was Firebrand's original attempt at defeating Slender Man and The Collective. It was referred to as the alpha because it was supposed to be superior to all others.
~With the power of Sebastian's Journal, Firebrand attempted to create a recursive timeline that branched off from the main timeline to act as an eternal prison for The Slender Man and his Collective. This was back when he wasn't confident enough in his newfound powers to take the risk of actually trying to destroy the demons.
~Firebrand's recursive timeline plan featured things such as time travel, elaborate paradoxes, and three different versions of Noah Maxwell(four if you count Firebrand himself) from different places in the timeline.
~Ultimately, The Alpha Timeline was unsuccessful. When Firebrand knew he couldn't win the fight yet, he had no choice but to use his newfound abilities to reset the timeline and try again. The slate was wiped clean, and a new and improved plan was adopted and perfected over the course of many, many timeline resets with the purpose of creating a timeline in which The Enemy could be destroyed.
The Omega Timeline
~The Omega Timeline is the current timeline of Blood and Venom. Wielding the power of Sebastian's Journal, Firebrand has spent many lifetimes attempting to create this timeline, for he believes it to be a perfected timeline in which victory over The Enemy is certain. This is why it's referred to as the omega.
~It should be noted that Firebrand isn't just traveling back in time, but rewinding everything that's ever happened and replacing it with another manipulated timeline. He has done this countless times in a desperate attempt to defeat The Enemy.
~Firebrand has reset the timeline countless times in order to thwart The Enemy's plans. Every time he does, there are minor alterations in what happens; fluctuations in the timeline that deviate from his past attempts. Some can be quite significant, but most of them are small things like a tree falling that didn't before or the stock market taking an unexpected dip.
~While everyone other than Firebrand loses their memories with each time wipe, Slender Man, The Collective, and Habit are all well aware that the timeline is being manipulated. Firebrand is the only one who possesses all of his memories of those past timelines.
~Firebrand only travels as far back as The Event and what led up to it when he resets the timeline, deeming everything before it to be irrelevant to his mission.
~Everything has to play out a certain way or the timeline will branch off in a direction that isn't beneficial to Firebrand's cause. However, he and his allies have worked hard to get to this point, and the course of events they've set in motion would be very difficult to undo. A simple mishap or minor deviation wouldn't throw off the entire plan, although it could still cause some problems.
~Not even alternate dimensions like The Crawlspace or The Candleverse can resist Firebrand's power over the timeline. However, even with all of his power he is still vastly outclassed by The Slender Man in terms of raw strength, which is why he must rely on tricks and schemes in order to defeat his foe rather than a direct assault.
~In the name of his mission, Firebrand has essentially taken control of reality itself.
