General Information

~The Collective is a hivemind of powerful entities created by the Slender Man. They are his most powerful servants, created with the sole purpose of obtaining the journal of Sebastian Kraus, a powerful artifact of great interest to their master, and will stop at nothing to get it.

~The majority of The Collective's members can be described as "sentient extensions of Slender Man's will with varying levels of self-control." They are parasitic in nature in that they require a human host to interact with the mortal world, and only possess people who are associated with Sebastian's Journal in some way.

~The method of possession varies with each host, with the trait showing up in most of them being that the host has to die in order to be reborn as a member of The Collective. The only known exceptions to this rule are Firebrand and The Observer.

~While most members of The Collective possess dead vessels, some semblance of the people they used to be still remains, such as fragments of personality or old ambitions.

~Dead Collective vessels don't rot beyond their initial "transformation disfigurement."

~Collective members are often wreathed in shadow and difficult to comprehend as anything other than living silhouettes, with the exception of certain discernible features such as gender, wounds, and notable clothing/accessories. Most of them rarely take physical form, preferring their ghostly, incorporeal states.

~Slender Man and his Collective are not bound by the limits of time and space and are capable of warping and manipulating the very fabric of reality as well as seeing into the future. However, Firebrand's meddling has effectively stripped them of most of their power, limiting what they can manipulate and clouding the most important aspects of their future vision. In spite of this, they remain formidable opponents, with only the likes of Firebrand, Habit, and those under their protection having any hope of standing up to them.

Slender Man

Status:

Extant

Alias(es):

The Administrator, The Keeper, The Tall Man, The Suited Man, Faceless Demon, Mr. Slim, Der Großmann, Gorr'Rylaehotep, Stick-in-the-Mud, One Divided By Zero

Information:

~An eldritch, ageless being of unimaginable power with a currently unknown origin.

~He is the creator and supreme leader of The Collective and wields absolute control over a dark and twisted dimension known as The Crawlspace. There is, however, a portion of this dimension that he no longer has access to or control of, as it was stolen from him by Habit.

~Has been described as "an anomaly in the fabric of space and time" and "a disruption of matter and energy."

~Possesses an intelligence far beyond the mortal level and is the definition of a puppet master, renowned for weaving together intricate plans and schemes that break the barriers of reality.

~He is fully capable of operating outside of mortal limits and defiling the natural order of our world.

~As an incomprehensibly old eldritch being of unfathomable power and little regard for mortal logic, the Slender Man has very few limits in terms of what he's capable of doing.

~The suited humanoid is only the latest in a long line of forms that the demon has taken over the years. Its true form has never been witnessed by mortal eyes, but it does speak with its true voice, projecting its words directly into the minds of those it's addressing.

~The closest that Slender Man has come to revealing his true form was when he became enraged in Shattered Reality Chapter 10 and transformed into a horrible amalgamation of melted flesh and writhing appendages. This, however, was only a glimpse of the true horror that lies beneath the demon's chosen appearance.

~Slender Man is capable of turning lesser beings into "proxies." These (usually)unwilling servants display varying degrees of intelligence, free will, and humanity, perform the bulk of their master's physical labor/dirty work, and are almost always utterly subservient to him.

~The Slender Man typically regards his hunts as sport, taking pleasure in tormenting and breaking his victims with varying degrees of speed, sometimes enslaving them as his proxies. It's usually only those with a connection to Sebastian's Journal and/or his overall plans that he regards as anything other than wild game.

~He is actively trying to create a "perfect servant" and has gone through several methods of creating Collective members in an attempt to achieve this goal.

~The Slender Man constantly emits a negative, otherworldly energy known as Sigma Radiation. It is extremely dangerous to mortals and will decay their minds and bodies at varying speeds depending on a number of factors, such as time spent in proximity to the demon or a being's level of natural resistance to it. Its immediate effect is much more noticeable, making any living beings exposed to it suffer symptoms of severe illness, an effect which has been given the term "Slender Sickness." This radiation is also what makes technology in the Slender Man's presence go haywire. A medicine known as Preaxin was discovered to combat the effects of Sigma Radiation poisoning, but even with this medication in their system, direct exposure to it can be harmful or even lethal to humans.

~Slender Man is capable of mimicking voices, but he rarely uses this ability. He also possesses abilities such as shapeshifting, teleportation, invisibility, atmospheric manipulation, mind control, and resurrection/necromancy.

~While his true goal is currently unknown, the Slender Man is currently trying to obtain the journal of Sebastian Kraus in order to use its power against Firebrand to put an end to his meddling.

~He's been collecting the souls of his victims and sealing them away in a small pocket of The Crawlspace known as The Library. His plans for these souls are currently unknown, but the demon has amassed a gallery of thousands over its many years of life. The Slender Man can only collect a soul if the person it belonged to died by his or a proxy's hands, and has no claim over the souls of those who were killed in any other way. The only exception to this rule is that he has the ability to prevent the souls of the deceased from moving on, sometimes keeping them trapped on Earth out of spite. The most notable example of this is the tortured spirits who haunt The Matheson Farm's graveyard.

~While the Slender Man is capable of resurrecting dead humans, he typically chooses not to, seeing no point in reviving a soulless corpse. The only notable examples of such resurrections are when he brought back the members of The Collective who died before their assimilation.

~While incredibly powerful, Slender Man's abilities are limited due to Firebrand's interference. Despite this, he still outclasses Firebrand in terms of raw power by a longshot, forcing the demigod to fight him in a battle of wits rather than outright combat.

~The Slender Man is considered by many to be immortal, being completely impervious to conventional weapons and highly resistant to supernatural ones. It may be possible to kill him, but nobody has been able to do it, not even Firebrand.

Description:

~The Slender Man bears resemblance to a male human, albeit heavily warped and twisted.

~He stands well over nine feet tall and his form is unnaturally skinny, appearing almost malnourished while looking healthy and powerful all at the same time

~His arms are grossly out of proportion with the rest of his body, coming down so far that his long, skeletal fingers extend just past his knees.

~His skin is clammy and deathly pale as if he's been dead for a long time.

~His most notable feature is that he has no face; No hair, no eyes, no mouth, no ears… no facial features of any kind. Only a bald head featuring a blank slate.

~He wears a black suit, dress pants, and dress shoes, as well as a white undershirt and crimson tie.

~A swarm of slim, black tentacles can erupt from his back and retract back into it at will and are capable of reaching great lengths and numbers in order to ensnare prey. These tentacles are also capable of taking the form of spider legs.

Persolus

Status:

Undead

Vessel:

Karl Maxwell(From an Alternate Future)

Alias(es):

The Hermit

Information:

~Possesses a dead vessel.

~Vessel was born on July 16th, 1924.

~Originates from the same alternate future as Firebrand.

~Karl was a German-born soldier who fought for The Allies during World War II. While on a top-secret espionage mission in The Black Forest in Germany, he encountered both Sebastian Kraus and the Slender Man, the former of whom was an enemy soldier who, in terror and desperation, entrusted Karl with his journal, which had become imbued with unimaginable power as a result of The Event and was greatly desired by the demon.

~After witnessing Sebastian dragged off into the night by the faceless horror, Karl took it upon himself to protect the journal with his life, knowing that ownership of it could only be transferred willingly and that its power would protect him from the worst of the demon's wrath.

~After the war, Karl and his wife immigrated to America and had children, but he would soon learn that his troubles were far from over. While the demon couldn't touch him because of the journal's protection, it could go after his loved ones to get to him, and it was after the death of his wife and the revelation that his daughter Mary was being haunted by the faceless monster that Karl became a reclusive hermit and dedicated his entire life to protecting the journal.

~While he was too afraid of the journal's power to attempt to wield it, Karl kept the tome safe for many years. Due to spending so much time with it, his very essence/soul became eternally bound to the book, and so when he was eventually assimilated into The Collective and transformed into Persolus after giving the journal to Firebrand, he was able to follow the book across time and space, managing to manifest himself every time Firebrand reset the timeline.

~Much like Noah and Firebrand, Karl and Persolus are able to exist independently from one another due to their unique relationship with Sebastian's Journal. As a result, there has only ever been one Persolus, with Slender Man seeing no point in creating another.

Description:

~Vessel is German-American, Caucasian.

~A decrepit old man consumed by darkness, almost completely overtaken by shadows.

~His eyes and mouth have been reduced to pitch-black craters in his miserable face.

~He is mostly bald but still has a bit of white hair left.

Vessel:

Mary Asher

Alias(es):

The Selfish

Information:

~Possesses a dead vessel.

~Vessel was born on November 28th, 1957.

~Mary Asher was the daughter of Karl Maxwell and became a target of the Slender Man due to her father's ownership of Sebastian's Journal. She was also the wife of Robert Asher, the mother of Milo Asher, and Noah Maxwell's aunt.

~As a result of being targeted by the Slender Man for most of her life, Mary grew up to be incredibly selfish and self-absorbed, focusing entirely on her own self-preservation and doing whatever it took to survive, including hurting her own friends and family. The only reason she had a child was so she could later sacrifice him to Slender Man in order to save her own life, and she did many other terrible things before her death.

~Mary's husband was not aware of her plans for their son, and would've been burned alive in a house fire that Mary started to kill him had Firebrand not intervened and saved his life, turning him into Scriniarii.

~She became a member of The Order to learn more about the Slender Man and indoctrinated her son into the organization at a young age. This was due to the efforts of Henka Visæ, a cult elder who reached out to her and invited her to join their ranks, promising her the answers that she was desperately looking for. Secretly, Henka intended to use them to obtain Sebastian's Journal on the Slender Man's behalf, but he was never successful. Both Mary and Milo cut their ties with The Order well before their deaths and assimilations.

~After Milo committed suicide and ruined her sacrificial plan, she was forced to disappear and go on the run from Slender Man, The Collective, and various authorities.

~Eventually, she was lured into a trap by Milo/Mr. Scars, who shot and killed her so that she could be assimilated into The Collective.

Swain

Status:

Undead

Vessel:

Sebastian Kraus

Alias(es):

The Lover

Information:

~Possesses a dead vessel.

~Vessel was born on March 5th, 1921.

~Served as a Nazi soldier during World War II and was assigned to Project Jötunn, a top-secret project revolving around the Slender Man.

~Sebastian owned a leatherbound journal where he recorded as many details about Project Jötunn as he could, as well as personal experiences throughout it. When The Event happened, both he and the journal were present for it, and as a result of direct contact with the anomaly that occurred that night, the journal became imbued with unimaginable power, as well as forbidden knowledge. This made the journal very valuable to Slender Man, who knew that it could be used as a weapon against him.

~In the aftermath of The Event, Sebastian fled into The Black Forest with his journal while being pursued by the Slender Man. It was there that he stumbled across a small camp of enemy soldiers, including Karl Maxwell. Knowing that his time was almost up, he gave the journal to Karl and told him to protect it with his life, well aware that handing it over to the demon would be a grave mistake.

~Despite the efforts of Karl's squad to protect him, Sebastian was dragged off into the night by Slender Man. He was brutally tortured and killed before being transformed into the entity known as Swain.

~Without taking any timeline alterations into account, Swain was the first member of The Collective.

Alias(es):

The Eyes, The Sentinel

Information:

~Possesses a living vessel.

~Vessel was born on February 21st, 1987.

~Operates as Slender Man's second in command.

~The Observer was created to be the leader of The Collective while still serving under the Slender Man, and was stronger than all of the other members until Firebrand gained the power of Sebastian's Journal and surpassed him.

~The Observer is different from most of the other Collective members in that he can latch onto any host he desires without them needing to die before he can possess them.

~The main reason that he had the privilege of possessing a live vessel is because he required a stronger host than the other Collective members in order to keep them in line and assist with his master's plans.

~Kevin was chosen to be The Observer's vessel due to his relationship with Noah Maxwell and Lauren Jones, having been good friends with both of them.

~The Observer has been possessing Kevin for so long that there isn't much left of him anymore, just bits and pieces of humanity that show themselves every now and then. The only way to free Kevin would be to put him out of his misery.

Description:

~Vessel is African-American.

~Clean-shaven, has short dark hair, and wears rectangular glasses, baggy dark gray cargo shorts, a black collared t-shirt, and black hiking boots.

~When in his Revenant form, The Observer's entire body is engulfed in shadow, making him appear as a living silhouette. The only exceptions are his eyes/glasses and teeth, which glow white with unholy power.

~A sinister, bloodthirsty grin is often present on his face.

Firebrand

Status:

Ascended

Vessel:

None. Exists as an augmented version of Noah Maxwell from an alternate future.

Alias(es):

The Stubborn, A Rogue God, F

Information:

~Born on November 11th, 1991.

~Originates from an alternate future where he was assimilated into The Collective and forced to do The Slender Man's bidding.

~With the help of Habit, Firebrand was freed from his chains and started taking the fight to the enemy. After obtaining Sebastian's Journal, Firebrand gained omnipotence and godlike abilities and began using them to manipulate the timeline, changing and arranging important events to rig Slender Man's game against him and his minions.

~He has dedicated his very existence to destroying Slender Man and The Collective, as well as saving his past self and many others from suffering a terrible fate.

~The power of Sebastian's Journal and the abilities it granted him allowed Firebrand to break away from his place in the timeline and exist as a separate entity from Noah Maxwell, allowing them both to exist at the same time ever since Firebrand first reset the timeline.

~While he possesses the means of disrupting Slender Man's plans and dancing around his tricks, Firebrand is still vastly outclassed by the demon in terms of raw power.

~He also stole Hellfire from the enigmatic Dark Realm and occasionally uses it against The Enemy. He got his burn scars while learning how to wield it.

~Firebrand has formed an alliance with The SCP Foundation after gaining their trust by doing them some sort of favor. It is not yet known what this favor was, only that it carried a great deal of importance. He also tends to look down on other anomaly-focused organizations, such as The Global Occult Coalition, which he views as sloppy even on their best days. It's only The Foundation that he trusts completely.

Description:

~Korean-American.

~His skin has a pale, almost ghostly complexion and is covered in burn scars. He also looks a few years older than Noah Maxwell.

~Has jet black hair so long that it nearly covers his ears and facial hair that's rather unkempt.

~A warm, toothy smile often manifests on his face.

Information:

~Possesses a dead vessel.

~Vessel was born on September 16, 1988.

~Milo Asher was the son of Mary Asher, grandson of Karl Maxwell, and cousin of Noah Maxwell.

~Milo lived a horrible life, having been born so that Mary could sacrifice him to the Slender Man in exchange for her own life. He was subjected to manipulation, abuse, and trauma from both his mother and the supernatural entities that haunted him for his entire life.

~He was indoctrinated into The Order at a young age by his mother, who was a member of the cult. Due to how young he was at the time, Milo didn't fully grasp what the organization truly was until much later in life. At one point, Mary took him to meet a man named Henka Visæ, a cult elder who secretly intended to use them to obtain Sebastian's Journal on the Slender Man's behalf. Both Milo and Mary cut their ties with The Order well before their deaths and assimilations.

~When Milo found out what Mary's plans for him were, what his entire life was meant for, he committed suicide so that she wouldn't be able to sacrifice him to save herself.

~Unfortunately for Milo, Slender Man brought him back as the entity known as Mr. Scars, tortured him severely as punishment for attempting the cheat him, and assimilated him into The Collective.

~Milo/Mr. Scars had the last laugh in the end, for it was he who was tasked with killing Mary Asher and making her assimilation into The Collective possible.

Alias(es):

The Nationalist

Information:

~Possesses a dead vessel.

~Vessel was born on June 13th, 1915.

~Lars served as a Nazi soldier during World War II and was assigned to Project Jötunn alongside Sebastian Kraus.

~After being promised great power in exchange for his services, he began working for The Slender Man willingly at some point before The Event happened and had a major hand in how it went down.

~After The Event, he remained human but was given the same mission as Swain, becoming a completely different person with no loyalties to anyone other than Slender Man, which is when he started going by the name of Henka Visæ.

~Henka did a number of notable things before his inevitable assimilation into The Collective, such as becoming a founding member of The Order.

~Under the Slender Man's direction, he reached out to Mary Asher and brought her and her son Milo into The Order, promising Mary answers to all of her questions about the demon that haunted her. In actuality, Henka was planning on using them to get Sebastian's Journal from Karl Maxwell, but was unsuccessful in this endeavor.

~He came close to obtaining Sebastian's Journal several times, attempting to trick Karl Maxwell into transferring ownership of it to him.

~Henka died in a last-ditch attempt to steal the journal, killing Karl's wife in the process. He was then assimilated into The Collective and became the entity known as Deadhead.

Description:

~Vessel is German, Caucasian.

~A hunchback dressed in black, hooded robes that cover everything but his face, which is little more than an old, exposed skull.
