General Information

~Proxies are servants of The Slender Man, typically sent in to handle his dirty work and pose as a more physical threat.

~Most proxies are unwilling slaves who were stalked, abducted, and assimilated into Slender Man's horde.

~Normally, Slender Man drives his victims to insanity before taking full control of their minds, bodies, and souls. However, occasionally he'll create a proxy by locking a person inside of their own heads, forcing them to watch helplessly as their bodies carry out his bidding.

~There are a few notable cases of willing proxies, but they are few in number and were handpicked by the Slender Man himself.

~Proxies often wear hoods, masks, and other concealing garments to hide their identities and strike terror into their victims. It can be inferred that either the Slender Man himself or his higher-ranking servants provide the proxy hordes with this attire.

~Lesser proxies will usually enter an "idle" state when they aren't hunting anything, often standing motionless, laying on the ground, or sitting down until something catches their attention or they are needed by their master.

~With the exception of Husks, most proxies are stronger than the average human, possessing supernatural strength and agility that makes them formidable foes. They also have heightened senses, often relying on smell and hearing to hunt their prey in the dark.

~Every person killed by a proxy is another soul added to the Slender Man's collection. The souls of deceased proxies are also sent to The Library and their corpses are taken away by the faceless demon, leaving very little evidence of their existence behind.

~The Sigma Radiation emitted from The Slender Man does not exclude proxies from its negative effects, slowly decaying lesser servants until they're little more than animate corpses.

~Being a proxy is a horrible existence for all but a select few who relish in their dark deeds.

Proxy Types

Husks

~Completely mindless and obedient, typically sluggish and slow-moving outside of combat, and can be healthy or decayed.

~They make almost no sound aside from footsteps and breathing and are very easy to kill or break free from. However, they're still dangerous in large groups and are capable of doing things like opening doors and turning on lights.

~They're pretty similar to stereotypical zombies in terms of behavior, but many are not physically decayed and they do not hunger for flesh. They simply kill the target and move on.

~They are also capable of using melee weapons and are sometimes seen carrying them.

Ghouls

~Heavily decayed, but agile and extremely dangerous.

~Their mental state is questionable, ranging from partially sane to completely feral.

~They can be characterized by their raspy breathing, growling, and gurgling, as well as the foul scent that always accompanies them.

~Ghouls typically don't wear any of the usual "proxy attire," as most of their clothing has rotted away with their bodies due to Sigma Radiation poisoning.

~Many Ghouls were once Maulers that slowly decayed and devolved due to Sigma Radiation exposure.

~These proxies never use weapons, instead relying on brute strength and endurance to overpower their victims.

~Due to their heavily deteriorated state, they are significantly more difficult to kill than most other proxies, with their brains serving as their only real weak point. This is due to their mental connection with the Slender Man being the only thing keeping them alive… or perhaps undead is a more accurate description.

~Charlie Matheson Jr. was a notable example of a Ghoul.

Maulers

~Healthy and highly agile, but completely insane and extremely dangerous.

~They can be characterized by their feral, unpredictable movements and animalistic snarling, hissing, and shrieking while hunting prey.

~Maulers are usually dressed in typical "proxy attire" but never use weapons, instead relying on brute strength and endurance to overpower their victims.

~With enough exposure to Sigma Radiation, a Mauler will eventually devolve into a Ghoul.

~Can be killed by conventional means, but typically outclass anyone attempting to harm them.

~The Chaser was a notable example of a Mauler.

Fanatics

~Humans who willingly serve The Slender Man as his proxies.

~They typically consist of those who the demon saw potential in, often committing heinous acts of violence before being abducted and indoctrinated.

~Despite being psychopathic maniacs with a passion for violence and death, they could be described as sane when compared to most other proxies.

~While most proxies either hate the Slender Man or are too mentally damaged to even understand their emotions, Fanatics revel in their servitude and adore the faceless demon, often looking up to him as a parental figure and going out of their way to please him.

~Fanatics typically serve as lesser leaders among the proxy hordes and are capable of controlling those who rank below them. They are the second highest ranking class of proxies.

~They almost never rely on brute strength alone and are capable of using all kinds of weapons, but typically favor melee combat out of a love for brutality.

~Fanatics can be killed like any other human, but are significantly more difficult to put down due to their combat prowess and supernatural enhancements.

~These proxies don't suffer from Sigma Radiation poisoning. This is due to the Slender Man granting them immunity as a reward for their services.

Thralls

~A theoretical type of proxy that is unaware of the fact that they're proxies, going about their lives normally until being put into a trance by Slender Man or The Collective. The experience could be described as similar to sleepwalking, and the victim would have no memories of what happened upon waking up.

~Thralls are hypothesized to operate while asleep or unconscious and are thought to be victims of the Slender Man going through the early stages of total proxification.

~Very little is known about them due to their elusive nature.

~It's entirely possible that they don't exist at all.

Revenants

~Members of The Collective.

~Revenants are the highest ranking proxies in the Slender Man's horde.
