Chapter 11
(Kesel)
As Kesel Duvali lay dying, a strange, robed figure appeared before him. They were pure darkness, and their very presence sent chills down what was left of Kesel's spine. The robed figure reached out a hand, and he heard a disembodied voice call out.
"What do we have here? A crime lord, fallen from grace. How pathetic. Another power-hungry mortal who threw their life away looking for strength in the wrong places," the voice echoed. A knife suddenly appeared in the figure's hand. "I can still give you power," the figure continued. "This world will be mine for the taking. Join me and it shall be yours too. There is a knife for you. It is shaped like [you cannot see me]. Take up the knife. Breathe the blade. Take your new shape."
Kesel's vision was flooded with darkness, and then he was gone.
AN: Just a short bit here setting up for something later.
Second AN: Updated this chapter, as I wasn't comfortable with it. Yes, it's only a few lines now, but I'd rather it be that than words that aren't my own.
