Jaune and Yang raced through the night back to the Xiao Long estate they normally wouldn't have been so fast about getting back but they had lost track of time and stayed a little longer than they intended and they had learned the hard way about messing with Tai's rules about being out too late with either his speeder or his daughter.

Jaune drifted around the corner into Tai's yard to find Tai waiting for him, watch in one hand and shotgun in the other. "Cutting it close" Tai said as Yang hopped out and Tai hopped in to take Jaune to the spaceport so he could get home.

As they speed off Yang went back inside looking for Ruby. She hadn't seen her little sister in about a day with Ruby being off visiting one of her very few friends so Yang wanted to try and talk to her and see how that went.

As she did she saw Nora crawling out of the net she was stuck in and plucking a set of saber darts from her rump. Yang noticed that the look on her face made it clear she was planning her next shenanigans and that they were probably going to involve saber darts.

Making a mental note to be on edge around Nora from now on Yang kept going finding Ruby on the roof but instead of relaxing and looking at the sky she was looking at one of the tool sheds.

"What are you looking at Rubes?" Yang asked, plopping down next to her sister.

"Someone is in that shed," Ruby said, handing Yang the binos she was using. Looking through them Yang saw that sure enough someone was in the shed and she could see the entire shack shaking. Getting her jump pack set up Yang blasted off, setting down hard on the ground outside the shack only for the shaking to show no signs of stopping.

As she got closer she was shocked to hear what sounded like Blake struggling with someone. Rushing forward Yang's boot sent splinters of the door frame throughout the shack as she stormed in with her twin scatter blasters at the ready.

When she saw Blake she was on the ground underneath Cardin Winchester. Yang was never one wish death on someone, but right now Cardin was an exception. She was making ready to spray him across the room when Blake desperately screamed for Yang to stop.

Yang didn't shoot but her blasters were still on Cardin's chest as the two of them scrambled to their feet and Blake fixed her clothes while Cardin left his shirt where it had been shredded.

Yang looked them over and finally noticed that Cardin was covered in lipstick, Blake's lipstick.

"What the Hell am I looking at!?" Yang demanded.

Clan Winchester and Clan Belladonna were not just far from friends, Clan Winchester even tried to prevent the official recognition of Clan Belladonna after the Civil War. It was the act of the creation of Clan Jinn that set the precedent that allowed for the creation of Clan Belladonna.

John Winchester had openly stated his disgust for the inclusion of what he called "False Mandalorians" which made the sight before her rather confusing.

"Is this some fucked up teenage rebellion thing?" Yang asked, trying to wrap her head around the idea of Blake and Cardin banging in her tool shed.

Blake moved closer to Cardin, lacing an arm around Cardin's waist and leaning into him. "No, we sort of, well you see"

She was clearly getting bogged down in the awkward nature of the situation so Cardin answered with his usual lack of subtlety. "We were arguing and at some point the phrase Fuck you was met with fuck me yourself and things sort of got out of hand from there" he said with a cocky smirk while Blake tried to hide her face in her hand.

Yang was trying not to laugh at this point but the fact that she still had two guns pointed at Cardin wasn't making him feel any better. "Does my father know you two are here?" She asked

"Yeah, it was his idea we met here to. uhm '' Blake stalled out again so Cardin once again finished for her. "It was his idea we met here to blow off some steam, among other things" He explained giving Blake a suggestive look that almost made Yang's stomach crawl.

Blake was ready to die from all the embarrassment so Yang shook her head and put her guns back. "Well make sure to wrap it up you two. Last thing we need is Blake getting knocked up and you two starting a second civil war" Yang said enjoying Blake's somehow still reddening face.

Yang left them there before heading back to the house just as her father was getting back from the space port. He got out and met her at the door. "So what do you plan to do if Blake and Cardin get disowned?" she asked knowing the answer but still wanting to hear it.

"Well I would adopt them, obviously," Tai said without hesitation as he went inside. Inside was Tai's third wife, the only one who was still alive and hadn't left him. Cinder was of all places in the kitchen working on a pot of something. Yang could tell it smelled awful and she could tell her father was going to eat at least three bowls of it. He loved her too much not to.

That made Yang wonder why they didn't have any children but then she remembered who her father had met Cinder. The former nightsister had been sent to kill Tai after he defeated another nightsister named Asajj in combat.

Tai was known for being able to fight Jedi but they assumed an assassin would be enough. They assumed wrong. He had the chance to kill Cinder but didn't. He didn't want to shed more blood over the petty squabble that had led to Asajj's death.

Mother Talzin would never take her back after she failed like she had but Tai took her in. It took her less than a month to worm her way into Tai's heart, Yang wasn't certain about her until she grew her hair out.

Something about her losing the bald witch look made her more appealing to Yang so she hesitantly let her in. Ruby was the hardest to convert in the end.

But she was won over when Tai's kath hound pack all accepted her as one of their own. That was when she found Cinder asleep surrounded by them. Those hounds worshiped Tai like he was a god and if they felt the need to protect Cinder then they deemed her worthy. And Ruby trusted their judgment.

Yang did her best to ignore the way her father walked over to his notably younger wife and gave her a playful smack on the rear as he walked past her. Yang tried not the hear the sound Cinder made back to him but honestly she was glad that whatever was in that pot wasn't edible since she lost her appetite right then and there as she left the kitchen and headed for her room.

She made sure to close the door before she went to her room and headed straight for her bed. She reached into her pillow case and unzipped her pillow carefullying pulling out the small box she had hidden inside.

Opening it up she saw the small ring within. Laying on her side to hide the box from the door she took the ring out and held it. Jaune had given it to her the day he asked her to marry him. She hadn't said yes but she hadn't said no, and she kept the ring.

She had been waiting for the moment she was able to put it on but she knew it wasn't yet. She wanted to, oh how badly she wanted to. But everytime she thought about it, every night she pulled it out and held it in her hand like she was now. She remembered her mother and the fear of turn out like her or worse was too much for her and she put that ring back in the box.

Looking at it closely Yang followed the line of hammer strikes that were placed there when Jaune forged the ring. How he had managed to do so without anyone finding out was a mystery to her but she wasn't too keen to unravel that one just yet.

The ring hovered over her finger to a moment like the ring itself wanted her to put it on. It got a little closer before being returned to his box and placed back in it's hiding spot. She wasn't ready, not yet.
