Adam drew this balde out as Yang fell to her knees. Adam stepped back seeing Tai and Jaune running towards them. He turned, opening his mouth to speak but stopping before heading for his exit.

Behind him he heard Yang's body fall and he heard someone catch it with Tai desperately trying to speak to his dead daughter. Adam expected a second voice but heard nothing telling him that Jaune was probably beyond words.

He was right, Tai was sobbing and holding Yang's body as Jaune just looked at her with a cold face. Cinder was fast behind them with Ruby in tow. Ruby was transfixed on her sister but Cinder was looking at Jaune nervously.

"Get the jedi!" She yelled running for him just as the rage in Jaune's body was getting too much for him to handle. Looking at Adam Jaune let out the most intense anger of his life following instinct he held out his hands as a bolt of blue lightning crackled forward from his hand.

Adam was turning with his blade raised as the man who had fired on Cardin and was presumably security for the event threw himself in the way. The lighting struck him on his crossed arms and cascaded and coursed over his armor and body. In spite of the immense pain the man didn't make a sound instead stepping a half step closer.

Now having someone else to focus his anger on Jaune brought up his other hand as more lightning surges forth this time met by a set of crossed blue lightsabers being held by the woman who had been by his side before. She held the blades strong against the onslaught as the man sank to one knee behind her.

Jaune's rage would have pushed him further but when he felt Ruby's arms wrap around him and heard her sobbing his anger subsided and his arms fell to his sides tired as he stood there trying to handle the grief beyond tears he was feeling.

Pre Vizsla watched over the arena with a somber expression. "You are playing a dangerous game, Pre." He heard behind him. The voice was one that brought him some comfort, it belonged to his long time lover Bo-Katan.

"I know but it is the best one that I can. I'm in too deep to get out. And there was no other way through this without weakening us." He said.

"If the other clans find out we won't survive" Bo said.

"With the amount of debt my father created we won't survive much longer anyway." Pre said calmly like he had thought about it several times before. If this goes right then we will be taken care of."

"Yeah, how many clans have you worked against, you set up the tournament to pit the clan Diachi boy against Ghira, one willing to kill, and the other better but unable to do so. An easy way to advance a weaker opponent. And then there was the Winchester boy, that must have been a convenient accident?" She asked.

"Convenient but not unexpected." Pre explained. "If he hadn't then I would have had to pit Tai against Winchester so that one of them gets rid of the other."

"Riiiiiight," Bo countered, not sure about that. " And what about Jaune, you really expect him to win?"

"No I don't, I expect Adam to kill him. I have made sure that he is the only one left, and he is placed against one of the deadliest men I have ever seen."

"And what if Adam fought Tai today, if anyone was gonna…"

"Tai was never going to fight Adam." Pre cut in. "I organized a CIS strike against the edge of Xiao Long space. Tai would never put the title of Mandalore over protecting his people, and droids don't talk about who hired them."

"Then why didn't it happen?" Bo asked.

"I called it off after I spoke to Yang, I was able to convince her that her father had no chance of defeating Adam. and I told her that to die for one family is an honorable fate"

Bo fought down the gasp that almost came out. "Tai is going to kill us all you fool" she snarled. Tai Yang Xioa Long was known for a few things and one of them was the unbearable fury for anybody who moved against his clan.

"No he isn't, there is a reason that you never knew about this. My hands are the only ones who are dirty." he said looking down at his hands with mild disgust.
