The Breeding Center Secret!

"Hello everyone, DJ Mary here and it is a great honor of mine to interview some of the world's most famous and well established entrepreneurs right here for a very special announcement on a special broadcast of the Kanto Star News! First up I'd like to introduce Kanto and Johto's very own Giovanni Sakaki, founder and CEO of Silph Co, not to mention one of the Kanto region's top Gym Leaders!"

"Please Mary, I'm no better than anyone else." Giovanni gave the camera a wave and a friendly smile before he placed his hands behind his back. "That's why I donate a good portion of my personal income to charity, we're all in this together after all."

"That may be true but some people question why you've donated a great deal of money to help these other companies get off their feet over the years."

"My dear Mary, Lysandre and Cyrus were good friends of mine. The three of us attended Pokemon Trainer School together in the Unova region and while I was fortunate enough to come into a great deal of income, they were struggling and had good intentions for helping the world much like I do so I couldn't just stand back and let them fall into bankruptcy. The Kalos and Sinnoh region deserve better!"

"And what of Phoenix Industries' Ezekiel of the Hoenn region? From what my sources say he was a struggling inventor and his only notable trait was being the brother of Sinnoh's own Cynthia, what made you back him all those years ago?"

"My dear I happened to be visiting some good friends of mine there when I stumbled across the man in Petalburgh City, he had quite the remarkable ideas for technology such as Pokeballs that worked better in caves and at night along with some theories on a portable system that allows for any and all trainers to switch their Pokemon on a whim! In fact the very item that most of you out there use in your common day was invented by him!" Giovanni pulled a golden plated Rotom Phone from his suit pocket and raised it up before putting it away. "But of course there were issues such as lack of money to fund his ideas along with some vices... he's a single father for a reason but don't let that fool you, the man's got a heart of gold and would do anything for his son much like I would with my own. So of course I couldn't let Macro Cosmos or the Aether Foundation take him under their wing, I decided to give him funding and let him freely run a company so his ideas wouldn't be restricted!"

"Enough talk, is it time to come out yet?" A man around Giovanni's age stepped on out. He was dressed in a suit and tie much like Giovanni but his demeanor was completely different, although his stance was calm he had a face that screamed he was just done with the world. His spiked blue hair shined in the studio light as he leered across the room.

"Cyrus Akagi, hello!" DJ Mary quickly sprang up to interview him. "I'd like to ask you a few-"

"No." Cyrus held up his hand, his expression unwavering as Mary began nervously sweating.

"I'd like to apologize for my friend, he's a man of few words you see." Giovanni beckoned for Cyrus to sit next to him. Cyrus did so but his expression remained the same despite the two supposedly being close he didn't bother shaking Giovanni's hand or even acknowledging him. "Lysandre you may come out!"

"Hello DJ Mary, I've heard so much about you." Some fangirling could be heard in the audience as a rather handsome looking man stepped onto the stage, he had a perfect facial structure. He had an orange beard which really made his hair resemble a lion's mane which was quite fitting as a brown lion Pokemon with a fiery red and yellow mane followed him. Persian let out a purr in greeting as the two shared a quick paw bump as their trainer's shook each other's hands before Lysandre turned to DJ Mary, getting down onto one knee as he pressed his lips against her hand. Mary's cheeks grew a bright shade of red as she couldn't help but giggle out.

"And I've heard many great things about you!"

"What about me, princess?" The crowd erupted into cheers as a man propelled onto the stage with a pair of armor plated rocket boots, hovering up above the others as he raised up his arms, waving his hands as he greeted the crowd. He had short well groomed brown hair and a bit of a goatee while his eyes were covered up behind a pair of black tinted sunglasses.

"Phoenix, a show off as always." Cyrus crossed his arms as he scowled up at the slightly younger male.

"Cyrus, still a moody pussycat?" Ezekiel retorted with a smirk as Cyrus merely snarled. Ezekiel landed upon the ground and leaned down to kiss Mary's hand. "Mary it's such a pleasure to meet you, how about you I give you an exclusive back at my suite after this?"

"Thanks but no thanks." Mary shot him down causing him to lower his head while Cyrus smirked for a brief moment before returning to his usual expression. "I would like to finally discuss this secret project you've all decided to collaborate on however, just what exactly is it?"

"I think a better question is why they're doing this," The studio erupted into cheers and whistles as Rex stepped onto the stage. Though his appearance was quite different than last Ash saw him in the flesh as a black glove covered his right hand, fully visible as he waved to the crowd. "Ezekiel baby, so good to see you again! You too Lysandre, been quite some time!" He quickly moved to shake everyone's hand except for Cyrus who refused to do so, so Rex simply grabbed his hand and forced him to do so as Cyrus gave him a murderous scowl.

"This is happening because of yours truly!" Rex thumbed at his chest as he gave the crowd a smile. "You see ever since I was a kid I pictured the perfect Pokeball, one that would never fail and would always succeed no matter what! And soon that dream will become a reality! Thanks to Ezekiel's brain and technology provided by Silph Co, Akagi Inc, and Lysandre Industries, there will be an entirely new Pokeball which I'd like to call the Master Ball!" Rex clicked a remote as the screen behind them lit up to showcase a purple and white Pokeball with a white M sketched across the top of it.

The crowd cheered loudly while Giovanni and Cyrus smirked. "With it no Pokemon will escape you, you can capture whatever Pokemon you want without fail and we'll be mass producing them as soon as the experimental Master Balls are deemed a success!"

The crowd cheered loudly at the idea while Chloe gave the television a nervous look upon hearing the news. Ash and the others had just arrived in Saffron City and were listening in as they waited for Pikachu, Eevee and the others to finish their checkup.

"That idea sounds like it could go wrong fairly quick, what if somebody uses that technology on a Legendary Pokemon and uses it to wreck havoc?" Chloe spoke with concern.

"Well I imagine the idea's still a fair way's off from finishing." Brock calmly stated. "Besides finding a Legendary Pokemon is still no easy task."

"It's still a stupid idea, imagine if a Pokeball always worked. It'd be no fun catching Pokemon if there wasn't the chance that they'd escape or beat you!" Ash exclaimed.

"Pi Pikachu!" Pikachu agreed as he and Eevee raced back towards their trainer's, leaping up onto their shoulders as Nurse Joy approached with the group's Pokeballs.

"Your Pokemon are all healed and ready to go-" Nurse Joy quickly paused as Brock sprang from his seat, hearts filled his eyes as he immediately dropped to one knee. "Nurse Joy has come to see me?! Arceus must be showing us a sign that we're meant to be, oh Nurse Joy I-"

"Um Brock, weren't we stopping to see your friend Suzie?" Chloe asked resulting in Brock calming down but it was too late as Croagunk's Poison Jab was already aiming for his back!

"Ah!" Brock fell to the ground as Croagunk croaked out in laughter.

"That's right, I can't wait to see what Pokemon she's got at the daycare center!" Todd Snap eagerly exclaimed as he held up his camera. "I'm sure to get some good pictures!"

The Rocket trio stood across the room, trench coats and fedoras covering their bodies as they secretly spied on the twerps. "So the oldest twerp is meeting his girlfriend at the local Breeding Center, oh this is perfect!" Jessie rubbed her hands together as a smirk crossed her face.

"I wouldn't say that Jess, he sure doesn't act like he has a girlfriend." James spoke up.

"Meowth, who cares about their love life! This is our chance to score big!" Meowth raised a paw up before slamming it against the other. "We can score Pikachu, Eevee and an entire crop of Pokemon!"

"Er-" James nervously spoke as he rubbed his arm. "Can it wait five minutes?"

"Five minutes?! Whatever for!" Jessie angrily growled out.

"Well you see I-I sort of left a Pokemon there and I really don't want to risk him getting hurt."

"Oh brother." Meowth face palmed.

"Okay James, we'll collect your Pokemon then attack once it's safely out of the way!" Jessie smirked. "The Boss will be thrilled once we bring them all in!"

The twerps soon stood outside a building which although it wasn't really that small, it certainly appeared that way in comparison to those that surrounded it as they all stretched towards the sky! A large Vulpix statue stood atop the building which helped make it stand out as nearly every other building had the same design and look apart from the Saffron City Gym which was just down the street and the dojo next door to it.

"So this is the place?" Ash questioned and his answer was quickly given as Brock smirked before eagerly racing inside.

"Suzie, it's been quite sometime since we've last seen each other!" He raced towards the front next and noticed somebody with teal hair bent over a box, messing with some Pokeballs. He hadn't seen her in awhile so he truly believed she must have cut her hair. "Suzie I've been wanting to ask for a very long time... would you... would you go out with me?!" Brock's cheeks burned brightly while he looked much different than usual, his eyes showing genuine affection rather than his usual lust for love.

Croagunk prepared a poison jab but didn't need it as Brock let out a yelp and began shivering as the figure turned around to reveal a man around the same age as Jessie and James. "Sorry bub but I don't swing that way."

"W-Who are you?!"

"The name's Bu-"

"It's Billy!" The blonde woman who'd been eyeing up the Rocket Trio a few weeks back covered Butch's mouth as she used their aliases. "My name's Casey." 'Billy's' face turned red with rage as he pushed 'Casey' away before angrily waving his fist at her.

"I told you that my name's Butch, Butch! We've been partners for years how do you keep messing it up?!"

"Partners, what?" Brock tilted his head. "Suzie's never mentioned you guys."

"Didn't you hear the news? Suzie sold us this d-place a few months back." 'Casey' responded. Brock's eyes immediately narrowed.

"I see."

"Brock, what's wrong?" Chloe asked with visible concern while Todd was taking pictures of the place along with snapping quick pictures of the workers. 'Casey' quickly covered her face with disgust.

"Get that stupid camera out of here!"

"Yeah, no cameras allowed!" Butch shouted.

"Nothing, let's go." Brock turned and quickly left, Ash, Chloe and Todd quickly followed after him as the Rocket Trio brushed past in their disguises.

"We're here to collect our Weepinbel, the names' Jameson."

"I don't think so, James!" 'Casey' called him out.

"Eee!" James panicked while Jessie narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

"Cassidy!"

"Jessie!"

"Bob!"

"James-GAH! It's Butch!" Butch angrily shook his fist at James.

"Meowth!" Meowth chimed in as the Rocket trio threw off their disguises as there was no further use for them.

"Look Cassidy we're taking things over so why don't you give us James' Weepinbel and we can get our operation underway?"

"Or alternatively you give us Weepinbel and we'll simply walk away!" James offered before Jessie pounded the top of his head.

"Don't be pathetic, James!"

"Yeah no, that Weepinbel belongs to us now!" Cassidy smirked.

"Yeah so beat it before we call the cops!" Butch laughed as he held up his Rotom Phone. "You dolts threw off your disguises so who do you think Officer Jenny will believe, us or you? You'll be taken away and the Boss won't pay your bail as you're already in some serious debt to him! All those mechs you keep buying off the black market to steal some Pikachu and Eevee, we've stolen plenty without having to resort to such costs! What's so special about those particular Pokemon that you've been stalking children for?"

Jessie, James and Meowth grew silent, merely scowling at the two as they refused to say anything else before taking their leave. The three quickly turned to look towards the twerps as they could be seen grouped up just down the road.

"Okay Brock, what's up? You wanted to see Suzie, why did we just up and leave like that?" Chloe questioned.

"Because I think Suzie's in trouble, she texted me just last month so she'd have told me if she sold this place which I know for a fact that she wouldn't! She loves this place and it's all she has, she wouldn't just leave! She'd have told me if she was moving... right?" Brock anxiously looked back towards the Breeding Center before going wide eyed as he saw the Rocket Trio approaching. "Guys I think we've got-"

"No need to prepare for trouble, today we come as allies." Jessie raised her hands while Meowth and James copied her actions as they approached the twerps.

"Yeah, those two are actually Team Rocket agents and they've got my beloved Weepingbel held hostage!" James cried out.

"Yeah so we've got to get in there and bust him out!" Meowth stated.

The three twerps narrowed their eyes suspiciously at the Rocket trio while Todd merely looked confused as he hadn't met the three outside of their disguise.

"You honestly expect us to work with you?" Ash asked with a light tilt of his head.

"You want to find your precious Suzie don't you?" Jessie taunted Brock. "We're experts at breaking into places and I'm sure they've got her tied up in some closet! As terrible as they are, they wouldn't kill her."

"And we promise to call a truce," James quickly exclaimed. "We promise to not attack or try and steal Pikachu and Eevee for at least one week!"

"It'll be worth it to see that Cassidy woman behind bars!" Jessie smirked.

"Meowth, that's right!" Meowth smirked as the twerps all glanced at each other before giving a nod as they reached out to shake their hands. Todd merely stood back with a look of confusion. Meowth's paw reached out to shake Pikachu's and it appeared the electric mouse couldn't resist the opportunity as he gave Meowth a light shock of electricity! "Aaah!"

"Pi!" Pikachu snickered while Eevee giggled out.

The unlikely allies waited it out until nightfall to lessen the chances of innocents being caught in the crossfire as the Breeding Center would be closed for the night. The Rocket trio led the way through an alley towards the backdoor of building, James helped Meowth up so the feline Pokemon could fit his claw into the lock. Meowth fidgeted about before a soft click could be heard, Jessie turned the knob afterwards and gave the twerps a successful smirk.

"Told you that we could do it! Now let the adults lead."

"No way, we'll take the lead!" Ash argued. He and Jessie shot each other a glare as the others all sweated before Chloe spoke up.

"Ash can lead for now, you can lead after you find Weepinbel." Chloe compromised, knowing that they wouldn't stab them in the back until after they found their Pokemon. Better to let them be in sight after that.

Ash and Jessie gave a quiet nod before they'd all step foot into a room full of Pokemon eggs. There were eggs of all sizes and colors, Todd quickly began snapping pictures while Chloe, Brock and James' eyes filled with amazement. Jessie's gaze was fixated on a blue egg with a black squiggly line going across the middle of it, there was a number beneath the egg which truly got her attention however.

'360?! With a number that high it surely must belong to a Legendary Pokemon like Articuno or Suicune!' She shot a quick glance around before shoving it up James' shirt. James gave her a look and was about to comment before she pressed her fingers against his lips. The three continued walking on like nothing had happened.

"At least the eggs appeared to be saf-what the heck?!" Brock angrily shouted upon entering the next room which was full of cages, Pokemon stood inside them with depressed looks while some even appeared to be starved. The Pokemon all began crying out and waving at them for help as they caught sight of them, James hastily looked around before approaching a cage which had his name on it. He opened the cage door and was about to grab for his Pokemon which was cloaked by the shadows, no doubt terrified.

"Don't worry Weepingbel, I'm here-EEEEE!"

"Treee!" The others turned with startled looks as almost the entirety of James' body was engulfed by a Victreebel!

"Not now Victreebel, we've got to get out of here before we're seen!"

"Treee!"

The lights quickly switched on as Butch and Cassidy stepped into the room with tired looks, no doubt they'd woke up on account of the noise.

"What's going-You?!" Cassidy snarled as she and Butch hastily reached for their Pokeballs.

"Where's Suzie?!" Brock angrily shouted.

"She's locked in that closet right behind you," Cassidy casually addressed with a wave of her hand. "You'll join her once we're done with you."

"Suzie!" Brock quickly raced towards the closet, Todd hurrying after him to snap pictures of her to use as evidence against Team Rocket.

"Who are you guys anyways?" Ash angrily growled out, the sight of Pokemon in cages sickened him!

"Pika pi?!" Pikachu angrily snarled.

Butch and Cassidy laughed before singing out.

"Prepare for trouble,"

"And make that double,"

"No..."

"Way..." Jessie and James breathed out while Meowth's jaw dropped.

"Here's our mission so you better listen!"

"To infect the world with devastation!"

"To blight all people in every nation!"

"To denounce the goodness of truth and love!"

"To extend our wrath to the stars above!"

"Cassidy!"

"And Butch of course!"

"We're Team Rocket, circling earth all day and night!"

"Surrender now cause you will surely lose the fight!"

"Hey you stole our motto!" Jessie cried out.

"Ever heard of honor among thieves?" James shouted.

"Meowth, let's teach them a lesson!" The Rocket Trio lunged at Butch and Cassidy only for the blonde agent to let out a yawn, not appearing concerned by their action.

"Houndoom use Dark Pulse!" The Johto wolf howled as he burst out, quickly firing off a pulse of black-purple static energy that exploded upon making direct contact with the Rocket trio, blasting them right through the roof and up into the sky above!

"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

"You two are next," Butch yawned. "Aggron use Hyper Beam!"

"Splishy Splash!"

"Pika!" Pikachu raised his arms as a massive wave of electrified water formed beneath him. Butch and Cassidy's eyes shot fully awake as a look of surprise flickered across their faces. The wave crashed down upon Aggron and knocked him back, the massive Hoenn Pokemon flailed it's arms and legs about before it fell back, crashing straight through the wall and into the front of the center. The noise was quite loud and sure to have gotten some attention as bricks flew and smacked across the alleyway.

Butch and Cassidy gritted their teeth and quickly clenched their fists. "This kid's packing heat!" Cassidy growled. "Butch show him why we should be feared!"

"Right!" Butch rolled up his sleeve to reveal a Mega Ring, a glint appeared in his eye as he activated it resulting in a bright pink glow enveloping Aggron's body as he began transforming into his Mega Evolution! Ash and Chloe couldn't help but gulp as they were now standing across from quite the cross looking Mega Aggron! Cassidy smirked, she had a Mega Evolution of her own but she knew Aggron would be plenty for these kids. No way they could take it!

"Aggro!" The Mega's mouth glowed a bright yellow-orange before a beam of yellow-orange energy flew through the air, exploding against Pikachu and sending the rat flying as a result! Pikachu landed in Ash's arms, his eyes reduced to swirls as he groaned out in defeat.

"Eevee use Sizzly Slide!" Chloe quickly ordered. Eevee's body ignited in a fiery inferno as she slid across the room and threw herself up against Aggron! The Hoenn Pokemon was knocked back once more while Butch and Cassidy shared a similar look of surprise.

"The twerp's girlfriend is packing heat too?!" Cassidy exclaimed.

"We're not-"

"She's not my girlfriend!" The two quickly shouted, their faces bright red while Butch and Cassidy gave each other a look before rolling their eyes.

"Sure you are, Butch end this!"

"Earthquake!" Aggron slammed his foot against the ground causing the entire building to begin shaking before part of the upper floor came down and crashed atop of Eevee!

"Eevee!" Chloe screeched, quickly returning Eevee to her ball before letting her back out as the soot covered Pokemon coughed out with swirled eyes.

"Give up now kiddies, you all don't stand a chance!" Cassidy smirked.

"Yeah, give up and you might just live long enough to get married." Butch smirked.

"I'm never giving up, Charmander I choose you!"

"Char, Charmander!" Charmander burst from his ball with an eager expression, not at all phased by the towering Steel/Rock Pokemon in front of him.

"Use Flamethrower!"

"Charrrr!" Charmander blasted Mega Aggron with a powerful stream of flame, fully knocking the Pokemon over. The Mega Pokemon flailed his arms and legs about as he struggled to get back up but Charmander wasn't going to let it have that chance of seeing his savior get hurt. The fire lizard opened his mouth and blasted Aggron with another stream of fire before he could stand, the Mega Pokemon shrieked in pain before coming to a full collapse. His eyes turned to swirls while the pink light surrounded his body as he reverted back to normal!

Butch and Cassidy's jaws dropped at the sight while Charmander leaped into the air in celebration.

"Char Charmander char!"

"Way to go, Charmander!"

"Pika pi!" It wasn't all Charmander but he certainly had an easier time after Pikachu and Eevee weakened it with their special moves!

"Char!" A bright blue light quickly engulfed Charmander's body as his orange scales began changing to a dark red coloring while his height increased and his body grew a bit bulkier. His tail flame burned even brighter than before while a singular horn-like protrusion grew out the back of his skull. "Char, Charmeleon!" Charmeleon cried as he fired a stream of fire up, tripping the sprinklers and setting off a fire alarm.

"Charmeleon the Flame Pokemon, Charmeleon mercilessly destroys its foes using its sharp claws. If it encounters a strong foe it turns aggressive. In this excited state the flame at the tip of its tail flares with a bluish white color!"

"You evolved, that's awesome!"

"Celebrate all you want, it won't last as now you have to deal with Mega Houn-" Cassidy's arm was grabbed from behind as she attempted to utilize her Mega Evolution. Butch angrily turned to send out another Pokemon only for a Growlithe to pin him down while an Arcanine tackled Houndoom, delivering a swift Thunder Fang to it's neck to temporarily paralyze it!

"Team Rocket, you're under arrest!" Ash looked up in surprise as it wasn't the usual voice he expected to hear, more masculine than usual. A man stood behind the two Rocket agents and his attire made it look like he jumped straight out of a detective movie, wearing a brown detective coat and all, the only thing missing was the hat! The man's eyes briefly locked onto Ash as he handcuffed Cassidy before pulling Butch up to handcuff him, swiftly returning Houndoom afterwards as Butch and Cassidy shouted angrily at the man.

"You can't do this to us!"

"Yeah, you ain't a cop!"

"Am so, Agent Looker International Police!" The man flashed a badge as he gave Ash and Chloe a quick nod. "Thanks for the assist, Ash Ketchum and Chloe Cerise. Been after these two for awhile, they just might help me nab the Boss man himself!"

"We'll never give up the Boss!"

"Yeah we'll die before we give you his name!"

Ash and Chloe gave each other a look of confusion as they'd never met the man in their lives yet he knew who they were.

"Wait how did you-?" Ash turned to ask only to discover that Looker had disappeared without a trace. Ash raced out onto the street and quickly looked around but the guy wasn't in sight anywhere!

"Brock!" Chloe raced towards the closet that Todd and Brock had gone into, the door was blocked off by rubble preventing the door from opening out so her and Ash had to move the rubble away before they could open the door. Apparently there wasn't a light switch within the supply closet as they were in the dark until the light of the room shined into the closest, showcasing Brock struggling to untie the knot before successfully untying it as soon as he could see what he was doing.

"There!" He then grabbed at the teal haired woman's gag allowing her to breath out before she quickly stood and threw her arms around Brock.

"Oh Brock, I was so scared! They jumped me in the alley when I was throwing out the trash, and I was trapped here for weeks in the dark!" Suzie cried into his shoulder while Brock gently patted her back. At least they appeared to have let her eat and drink, otherwise she'd have died by now. "I was so worried and concerned for the Pokemon! I didn't know what they had planned but I'm sure that no good could come of it."

"Well they're gone now, Suzie. It's over." Brock soothed her.

"And I got all the pictures that the police need!" Todd eagerly held up the camera.

"Oh right, almost forgot." Looker suddenly appeared once more. "Greetings Brock Takeshi, Todd Snap." Looker snatched the camera from Todd's hand and attached it to a device, returning it quickly before giving the photographer a quick nod. "By the way, there have been sightings of a Zapdos by the old Cerulean Powerplant. I believe you'll find that interesting."

"Really?!" Everyone turned to Todd as he eagerly shouted out. "Oh boy, I've got to get those pictures! Pikachu can wait, I'm out of-Hey where did he go?!" Todd blinked as Looker disappeared into thin air once more.

"Well I guess this is goodbye then," Ash held his out his hand in offering, Todd quickly shook it while giving everyone a quick nod.

"For now, I'll be back someday to capture that Pikachu but if there's a chance I can get a photo of Zapdos then I can't afford to shoot that down!" Todd grinned as he shook hands with Brock and Chloe. "It was fun hanging out with you all but I'm sure our paths will cross again someday."

"I hope so!" Ash grinned.

"Ash, you better win the Indigo League cause you can bet that I'll be there cheering you on!" Todd gave Ash a light smirk before giving the group one final wave as he raced out the door!

"Suzie, I-I love you..." Brock managed to get out after Todd had left.

"Brock...?" Suzie looked up at him, her eyes shimmering with affection for him. "I-I love you too but..."

"There's somebody else?" Brock lowered his head.

"No no! It's not that!" Suzie quickly waved her hands. "It's just that... oh Brock, I don't have long left in this world. I-I've got cancer, i-it's bad. Really really bad, that's why I-I stopped talking to you for a long time. I-I didn't want you to find out, I-"

"Suzie..." Brock took her hands as he gazed affectionately into her eyes. "Suzie I don't care, I'll still be with you for however long you got left!"

"No you won't," Suzie firmly stated though her words sounded broken as regret shined within her eyes. "I-It's not fair to you Brock, you don't deserve to have your girlfriend or fiancée die in front of you especially at this age. You've still got your entire life out in front of you and you've still got to discover some things about your goal in life."

"What are you talking about? I aspire to become a top Pokemon Breeder just like you, we can run this place together and I'll run it after you're gone!" Brock desperately exclaimed as tears started flowing from his eyes.

"Oh Brock..." Suzie shook her head as tears flowed through her eyes. "You really don't realize your true goal yet," She placed her hand atop of his. "I already left the place to our friend Zane, he'll take over when I..." Suzie trailed off before looking up into his eyes once more. "But there is one thing I want to give you before..."

Chloe wiped away some tears and grabbed Ash's hand. "Come on, perhaps we should give them privacy." Though she clearly read her words wrong as Suzie approached a cage door and opened it, freeing a Vulpix whom quickly leaped into her arms and licked the bottom of her chin.

"This is Vulpix, my best friend... and I couldn't think of a better place for her than that of the man I love." Suzie gave Brock a loving smile as she pushed a Pokeball into his hand. "Brock take good care of her."

"I-I will Suzie!" Brock promised as he invitingly held his arms out for Vulpix. "C-Come here, Vulpix!"

"Vul!" Vulpix leaped into his arms before nuzzling her head against the bottom of his chin.

Chloe turned to Ash with a look of relief. "Well that was a relief for a moment there I thought-"

"Well actually there is one more thing!" Suzie spoke up.

The Rocket trio laid on the outskirts of Saffron City, the blue egg laid safely cushioned against James' chest as the three laid passed out on the ground. They groaned out as they slowly began regaining conscious however before they could say anything the egg began shaking and crack causing Jessie to gleefully shout out as she yanked the egg back into her grasp.

"The Suicune is mine fair and square, I found this egg so it's mine!"

"Um Jess, why would a Suicune egg be in a Pokemon Nursery?" James questioned before Meowth placed a paw over his mouth.

"It's best not to tell her she's wrong this time, let her see it for herself." Jessie's body shook with excitement while Meowth and James watched on, curious as to what their new Pokemon partner would be. The egg cracked as a cry could be heard.

"Wy, Wynaut!" Jessie went pale as Meowth and James couldn't help but quietly snicker. Jessie's jaw dropped for a moment before a smile crossed her face as she pulled Wynaut in for a hug.

"It's such a cutie, I sure know how to pick them!"

"Wynaut!" Meowth and James began to smile as the Rocket trio looked forward to seeing just what their newest ally was capable of!

Butch and Cassidy angrily shouted as they were taken to their prison cell by a police officer.

"The Boss will pay our bail!"

"Yeah, he always pays!" Butch shouted.

Damian looked out of his cell as he watched them pass before looking towards the entrance in surprise as Archer stepped on in with a large briefcase. "Officer I believe that this is more than enough to let my associates go and to wipe all records of the incident?"

"O-Of course!" The officer drooled immediately upon opening the briefcase, quickly snapping it shut before shaking Archer's hand as he raced on out of there. "Early retirement, woohoo!"

"Son of a-I'm still waiting for my mother to post mine!" Damian angrily shouted as he watched Butch and Cassidy follow Archer out of the building.

"Don't you get it kid, you're not getting out." The Magikarp Salesman laughed from the cell opposite him. "You weren't even offered it, the law ain't kind to Pokemon abusers! Enjoy life in prison, I'll be getting out in a few days and be a free man once more!"

Damian scowled at the Magikarp Salesman before turning towards the barred windows, fire burning in his eyes as he growled out. "You haven't heard the last of me, Ketchum! I'll get out someday and when I do, the world's gonna burn!"

The next day and after a tear filled farewell, Ash, Brock and Chloe departed Saffron City. Brock was rather quiet as he silently stroked his newly obtained Vulpix's fur.

"I can't believe that Suzie girl just gave us eggs!" Ash excitedly exclaimed as he held up a green egg with a rough rocky structure to it with a red diamond visible along the bottom half.

"That's because she was distrac-never mind." Chloe shook her head as a white egg that had multiple blue and red squares patterned across it sat within her arms. If Ash didn't understand what just happened she wasn't going to bother filling in the blanks.

"It should be just a few days until we reach Vermilion City, I can't wait to see what awaits us there!"

"Pi Pikachu!" Pikachu excitedly cried. It felt like it had been forever since they beat Misty and earned the Cascade Badge, and they couldn't wait to earn their third Gym Badge!

That was a long one. It was difficult to write as I had an experience similar to what Brock went through. Brock will find love again but his gag won't return for awhile!

Bet you can guess what those eggs contain, fairly obvious.

"its great to finally see ash have a female rival for once after so many years later in every Pokemon story" Um, Leaf's right there? I know she hasn't appeared since the beginning but there hasn't really been a role for her or Gary to fill in a chapter just yet. They will be appearing again soon though

"Will Charmander be disobedient?" Spearow's taken that role, Charmander will be loyal to his savior.
