\Yang's funeral preparations were already under way. Tai had already prepared a burial site for himself. And now he was putting his daughter in his place. Tai hadn't spoken since it happened. Conversely Ruby hadn't stopped crying.
But what had everyone nervous was the fact that nobody knew where Jaune was. He had disappeared some time after Yang had died. Cinder had wanted to try and keep an eye on him but she just hoped that he didn't get into too much trouble while she was trying to take care of Tai.
The other woman who apparently was in fact a Jedi years ago was also too busy caring for her husband who had been more or less alright after being struck by lightning but was still injured enough that she felt the need to fuss over him.
Pyrrha was worried too, a part of her knew she needed to seek out Master Qui-Gon about something she saw during the battle, but she knew what a heart broken Mandalorian might do and she NEEDED to find Jaune as soon as she could.
She was searching the Xiao Long estate since Tai had either told them to allow her or more likely nobody had it in them to tell the respectful young woman to leave. During her searching she remembered that Jaune and Yang left in Tai's car a few nights back.
Heading for the garage she was glad to be unhindered as she checked it over. As she hoped on the speeder they took there was a tracking unit meant for navigation. Using a trick she learned from Master Dooku she used the tracking unit to figure out where Jaune and Yang went that night.
Now that she had a location Pyrrha just needed to get there. Finding Ruby she did her best to explain the situation to her. It wasn't hard to find her but Ruby was too busy balling her eyes out to listen.
Thankfully when she was about to reach out and touch the young woman a strong hand reached out and stopped her. It was Tai. she was about to speak when his cold and wounded eyes silenced her. "I know where Jaune is" she said bluntly.
Tai nodded and without a word he turned and led Pyrrha to one of his speeders. They both got in and Pyrrha was ready for the fast pace of Mandalorian driving as they took off.
As they approached the location they were surprised to see a ship already there until Tai saw who was standing guard over it, as they slowed down Tai explained. "That is the duchess' guards"
"How could she find him first?" Pyrrha asked, shocked by the speed with which they must have found him.
"His mother is the most powerful woman in the system, and his father is the youngest Jedi master of this age. They have their ways." Tai said slowing down. He got out and Pyrrha went with him and stopped at the ramp. The guards didn't move to stop her but Pyrrha wasn't sure she was welcome inside. Tai had no such hesitation and he strolled up the ramp. Turning back around she saw the speeder Jaune must have taken and found a quiet spot to sit and meditate about what she saw earlier.
…
Inside the ship Tai found Jaune and Satine sitting in silence. The young man had his forehead rested against his mother's chest as she kept a hand on the back of his neck. Obi-Wan looked like he wanted to help but the fact was his son was a stranger to him.
Tai however was not. He walked over to them and did his best not to let his anger show to Obi-Wan. It wasn't his fault. But that didn't change the fact that Tai must have been radiating fury with the way Obi-Wan nervously looked at him.
As Tai approached Jaune turned to face him with a few bitter tears in his eyes that he had been trying to hold onto. The Young man loved his mother, but he was trying not to show what he saw as weakness.
When he saw the tears on Tai's own face he broke. Reaching out he grabbed the older man's jacket thumping his head against Tai's chest as Tai took the hit without moving. Jaune shook as he finally let himself start feeling the pain in his soul.
Tai did his best to console the boy as his father watched, wishing he could help but knowing that Tai was the one who held the connection Jaune needed, he just hoped that it was a good one.
…
Yang's funeral was nearly silent. Ruby had managed to stop crying but only barely as she clung to a young man that Jaune had only met in passing, he was fairly sure he was a farmer.
There were a lot of people there though. Tai was still in his somber silence probably since he was too enraged or broken to do so.
Pyrhha had found herself next to Jaune; she could feel the pain in him and she was concerned about how calm he seemed in spite of it. She was still trying to figure out how to explain what she saw to master Qui-Gon as Yang's body was slowly laid into the ground.
Everyone was holding torches that light the dark night but one by one torches were put out as people left. Most stayed until the tomb was sealed with a heavy stone that had been meant for Tai's own tomb.
With the stone in place a few of the attendees moved in using their heavy torches to partially melt the rock into lava before they left it to cool and harden, sealing Yang in for the rest of time.
Pyrrha, Jaune, Tai, and Cinder were the last ones there. Tai and Cinder left to allow Jaune as much privacy as they could. Pyrrha was thinking about leaving but she insisted on staying when she heard Jaune whisper. "Yaim'ol de kyr'am"
Pyrrha put out her torch but made sure to stay nearby, she wasn't leaving him alone at a time like this. And she was willing to wait all night if she needed to.
