Pyrrha approached Master Qui-Gon after she saw Jaune back to the Xiao Long estate. It was late but she had a feeling that the elder master knew what she wanted. Almost ringing the bell she stopped when the door opened and she saw master Qui-Gon meditating.

She briefly looked into the force and saw that he was drawing the nearly stunning amount of power that he was capable of. Yet apart from him being three feet off the floor in this cross legged stance nothing else seemed to be happening.

Then she saw it, all of it. Everything in the room was floating just an inch off the floor or whatever it was resting on. Without dropping a single thing Qui-Gon said to her "you come to me wishing to speak of the new member of clan Schnee"

Pyrrha nodded. "Yes master I… '' she paused when she made the mistake of again looking too closely in the force and seeing just how powerful master Qui-Gon was when he chose to be. Sensing her shock and seeing it was distracting her, Qui-Gon set all the items down and extended his feet to stand upright as the force released him.

"What did you see?" he asked her.

"Some of the things I saw him do, the way he held his weapon at times and the movements he made, they just seemed too similar to the sith assassin on Naboo" Pyrrha explained.

Qui-Gon nodded, "yes I saw that as well." he said, stroking at his beard. "We should investigate this matter but it must be done delicately," he explained. "We do not know this Adam and we have to be careful to not over extend and leave ourselves open." he explained further. "For now we must wait and let thing play out until we can get a clearer picture"

Pyrrha nodded turning to leave the master to his meditation

Tai sat in silence in his living room looking at the spot she stood in when Yang first called his dada, then looked over to the couch remembering the time he saw her take her first steps. Just in time to fall off after she woke up from her nap.

He felt another tear in his eye and he wiped it away when Cinder sat down next to him and wrapped an arm around him. She also didn't speak, feeling his pain in the force and reaching out with that as well to hold him, she had used it to help him on the nights he remembered watching Summer die. And she would do it now.

Jaune stood in his training room striking away at the bag in front of him feeling the same burning rage he felt back in the arena. Each time his hand, knee, elbow, or foot meet the bag Jaune saw her again, each strike replaying the moments in his mind as she looked down at the sword in her chest, then looking up at him in the crowd as he desperately shoved his way through the crowd, and finally her body failing and dropping into her father's arms.

With a roar Jaune's hand shot out and as he struck the bag his rage flowing out of him and the spark of the same lightning from before burning the bag as it was knocked from its mount. Jaune stood there a moment almost reveling in his own power when he heard a voice from the door speak.

"It is intoxicating isn't it" Obi-Wan said. Jaune didn't answer but his father kept going for him. "I am no stranger to the dark side but I hoped you wouldn't find yourself discovering it like this"

Jaune felt his father's peaceful presence fill the room. It started as a small speck but it was now driving out the rest of the fury Jaune had been feeling. Taking a deep breath Jaune felt a weight come off of him.

His shoulders sagged and he all at once felt the several hours of hard training he had been doing. Jaune made his way over to the bench and Obi-Wan sat down next to him. "I know you do not know me as well as you should and my word may not be as impactful as I would like it to be"

Jaune wanted to say something smart but he was both too tired and if he was honest too demoralized for that. "I am actively keeping that darkness from you for now but it is not easy," Obi-Wan explained. "You will have to learn to navigate it, if you were a Jedi I would tell you to let your feelings go but I don't expect you to do that as you are no Jedi. however, you have been through a great ordeal these last few days." As Obi-Wan spoke he turned to look Jaune in the eye. "I am not going to tell you that I have been through a good bit if not all of what you have, but I am going to tell you that if you do not control that anger it WILL control you"

Jaune saw a very real fear and pain in his father's eyes and on his face at that. Jaune knew nothing of Siri or of Qui-Gon's struggle before him. So Obi-Wan wouldn't take the time to explain. Jaune looked uncertain, he knew his anger gave him power but he knew that his father wasn't here to teach him the way of the Jedi.

"I cannot do that for you, but I can guide you when you are ready," Obi-Wan said. "The dark side IS a choice, one that I hope you do not make"

Winter and Adam sat in silence over dinner, theirs was a loveless marriage, one made for convenience. Adam needed a home, and Winter needed someone to put the fire and power back into her clan.

"You and I both know something is being done behind the scenes" Adam said breaking the silence.

Winter nodded, swallowing her food before answering. "Yes there is, but right now we need to wait for whoever it is to play their hand…"

Adam cut her off though clearly trying not to sound too aggressive. "I killed a child yesterday, whoever it is HAS played their hand"

Winter raised an eyebrow as she saw the root of the problem. "I would not have thought you the type to be so unsettled by that?" She also made sure her voice showed that she was trying to understand him more than mocking him.

"There was a time for that, but I have put that behind me and I want nothing to do with it" Adam made sure to contain his anger but failed slightly. Winter was far better at the game of hiding your heart behind your face.

Winter chose to let her face show some of what she was feeling too. "I do understand that, but to be honest I think the survival of my… our clan is more important than either of our ethics"

Adam seemed to think about it, he didn't like it. But Winter wasn't wrong. "And what of the Jedi, will they oppose us if they should find out whatever is going on. And at what point do WE draw the line?"

Winter thought for a long second trying to tell if Adam was looking for leadership, testing her, or both. "The Jedi will not want anything to do with this, but the duchess may. And if she does the Jedi would be obligated to help her. And as far as us, the line must be drawn where the clan would suffer." Winter said knowing that most of what she said was obvious but saying it anyway.

Adam nodded, seeming pleased with her answer preparing to leave before Winter spoke. "Adam," she said, making him stop and half turn back to her. "There is something else we need to speak of."

Adam seemed to freeze for a moment before his assassin training took over and he reverted to his blank self. "And that is?" he asked knowing what she was going to say but not wanting to say it.

"While neither of us pretend to love each other we do need at least two children" She said standing up and Adam finally getting a good look at her dazzling dress. "And I do not think we can wait" she added walking over to him putting a little more sway in her hips.

Adam knew she was right, the odds of him losing a battle to whoever was left he honestly couldn't remember were low. But they were there. Still he was apprehension as he stepped closer, he had never said it but Winter was stunningly beautiful. More so than any of the witches of his home and that was an achievement.

Adam was also aware that what she was proposing would forge a bond stronger than what he had wanted. But as Winter stopped a few inches in front of him he found that right now he didn't care, though he knew that was just his instincts talking.

Winter reached out and slipped her arms around his shoulders. Pulling him close she kissed him trying to be both gentle but also with authority. Adam was raised in a matriatical world so Winter needed to put in the work here to make him comfortable.

It may not have been love but she did want to at least take care of him given his inexperience. When she felt Adam kiss her back she reached behind herself and pulled a cord sending her dress to the floor as her arms pulled the rest of Adam closer.
