Chapter 4: The First Day of Refinement

At the plane, Fahkumram wanted to know about Rhima and her family and why she was targeted by Domon and his group of mercenaries.

"Those people are just like what happened to me and my family. I was bribed to fight vicious wild animals by the corrupted police because my wife and my daughter are taken hostage."

"..."

"I wish if my family will be free from all these kinds of trouble." Fahkumram said while closing his eyes until Rhima responded sadly.

"My dad and that Domon guy, they are rivals in that defunct tournament. It was held in Bangkok and it was like how Jin had participated in."

"!"

"These two had fought in the battle to the death. It was a good match but my dad, he..." Rhima said which Fahkumram wanted to let her speak continuously in his Thai language.

"Go on, speak..."

"He punched the guy straight to the forehead almost reach him through the nose and knocking him dead. My dad was guilty after he defeated him in the finals. He still have that guilt on winning the tournament. That's why his fighting style is used to teach all of the UE students so that to learn about more about self-discipline." Rhima said sadly while lowering her head in upset.

"It's just like what I did when I participate the Muay Thai competition before I get married with my current wife." Fahkumram said and he commented when he speaks Thai language. "Your father didn't want to kill anyone with his own fists. He just wanted to win the tournament. He became guilty because he doesn't wanted to kill his opponent with no mercy."

"Your father can resolve all these problems, young lady. These enemies are just petty revenge for what they did in the past. If they came here to get you and we're here." Leroy said while trying to enlighten Rhima from being upset. "Defeating them with Wing Chun is enough to fight them off."

At Reggie's house, Lee discusses with both Lars and Alisa regarding about Rhima's safety and because of the mercenaries are planning to eliminate the Panganibans. Lee let Hunyo to stay in Bangkok along with his friends and decided to protect Rhima from getting assassinated.

"I see, Rhima has nothing to do from his petty revenge."

"That bald guy with a large scar would knew he'd wanted to kill Hunyo and tries to involve his family as well. Alisa can even fly through Laos."

While they discuss about to get through Laos, Jin wanted to follow Rhima once they arrived and seeing Reggie is overhearing their conversation as he tells him.

"Reggie, if Alisa would fly with you? Is it okay if you brought my things too?"

"So what's your plan...?"

"I might do that tonight. Because I can transform into my devil form and I could fly." Jin answered in a calm tone.

"..."

"Don't worry... Alisa can also fly too. Besides, she was formerly created to serve me when I was the head of the Zaibatsu. She might help you to follow me." Jin said telling Reggie to let Alisa to take him to follow him to find Rhima at Laos.

That night after Lee and Lars had done prepare for their trip in Luang Prabang, Jin came out in a straitjacket as he closes his eyes, trying to remember all the hostility with the Mishimas and his willing to kill his own father, he awakens his devil powers as he crosses both of his arms while embedded with red lightning as his black feathered wings are formed on his back and he immediately flew away to find Rhima. Reggie looked to see him flying as Alisa came to see him.

"Are you saying we can follow him?"

"Yes, that's what he says." Reggie confirming of Jin's plan of following Rhima at Luang Prabang as he commented. "He can be a brainiac sometimes and now I had his backpack with him to carry."

"As Mr. Lee's orders, he allows me to take you to follow Jin. Now buckle up..." Alisa smiled as she hugged on his back as she flies with her jetpacked wings on her back and they follow Jin.

"Wow... I can see the sky." Reggie complimented as Alisa continues to fly with him to follow Jin who is now transformed into Devil Jin.

At the riverside town within Luang Prabang, Rhima sees the entire Mekong River which is connected from this town to another as Leroy points the mountain in front of them.

"There was a small temple place nearby within this mountain. A lot of mountain climbers know how to climb these high steps."

"This is where you're gonna retrain me in Wing Chun."

"Exactly..." Leroy said as he tells her. "Anyway, me and the big Muay Thai fighter just prepared for your room on that villa we had been handpicked. In front of the villa, it was an exquisite one so don't spend wisely. There's a lot of places for you to eat here not just at the front."

"I'm glad they always selling at the night market." Rhima said nicely as Leroy tells her.

"Let's not think about that now, young lady. Tomorrow, it's will be your first day to retrain your Wing Chun style."

At the villa, Rhima saw the two of them are taking separate rooms and knowing they are following the rules of having the visitors including the Laotians can walk on barefoot as she goes to her room. Devil Jin later arrives as he landed safely on the ground. To avoid being found out, he retracted both his horns and wings and leaving himself half-transformed and his eyes are changed back to brown as he walk through the place and observing to see people are walking in barefoot and most visitors are keeping their footwear in the lobby as he thought.

So this is where you stayed, Rhima. It's just like in my place in Japan. Don't worry, I will observe you from now on.

While Jin was observing within the villa, Reggie and Alisa are here as well which he saw him.

"So Alisa, are we already in Luang Prabang?"

"Yes, Affirmative... it is a very nice tourist spot here in Laos." Alisa replies happily.

"I guess that you have to inform, Mr. Chinese guy." Reggie said which Alisa confirms.

"Yes, I'm sure they are still at the airport. I would go with them now."

As Alisa flies away with her jetpacked wings, Reggie sighs after seeing her flying away as he bumped into Jin who is half-transformed into his devil form causing him to scream.

"WAHHH!" Reggie screams as Jin immediately covers his mouth with his right hand.

"Shhhh! It's just me... Be quiet."

"Not just being a total brainiac, you're a monster..." Reggie cried in upset which makes him sighs normally.

"It's normal for me if anyone would say that. I'm a monster..."

"That's weird... how come the tattoos on both of your forehead and chest are still there? But, you look like a freak wearing a straitjacket." Reggie pointed out his appearance which Jin knew his devil powers are more stronger than before and couldn't control of it. Because of his connection with Rhima, this might able to remove the devil markings on his body.

"I hate to tell you this, Reggie. My devil markings would disappear if my relatives including my mother can disperse it with their hand touch. But for Rhima, she can absorb any evil entities like this curse blood on my veins. That could remove the markings if she and I we-?"

"I don't get it, why you didn't say the last sentence?" Reggie wondered causing Jin to angrily raises his brow while scolding.

"That's for adults only, Reggie. You're too young to know about all of it. You would know that soon if you already grown as an adult. I think we should sleep somewhere around this place. I just don't want anyone to see me like that."

The next day, Rhima arrives in the same clothes she and her father Hunyo had released Jin and Lee in explosion as Sugar was there drooling over her presence.

"So your master is in the river port. Okay then..."

As Rhima goes to the riverside near Mekong River, Jin was behind her, observing of where she was going. Now wearing a yellowish brown hooded cloak so that most people would not recognize who he is while in a straitjacket while allows Reggie to sneak through her villa place to put Jin's things on her room.

"I wonder where they're going?"

"Nice work, Sugar... this boat man is gonna take us on front." Leroy said nicely and Rhima was serious to know more from them.

"So these boatmen are taking a boat ride to see the entire river. I know a lot of tourist spots there are connected with the largest river in the Southeast."

As they take a ride, Jin manages to step into the roof of the boat which they heard a noise.

"What was that?"

"Hmmm, it was odd... no one is here in this boat but just me, Sugar and this young lady."

"So where's Fahkumram, old guy?"

"I heard that he is already at the mountain where we supposed to retrain your Wing Chun. He knows that guarding to your safety was more important in case if these attackers would come." Leroy said sensing his presence.

As the boat move at the front side of the river, Jin was on the roof and seeing the Mekong river and it was the first time he had seen this place as he thought.

No wonder why they decided to pick this place. It was very quiet and it was the right choice for Rhima to be safe from those bastards. I want to see how she made her progress since it was her first day.

At the mountain side, Fahkumram appears in his Muay Thai attire who watched Leroy teaches Rhima with a training dummy filled with branches which he does in his current fighting style. Rhima was surprised since he'd wanted to see her to learn of his style.

"Now, young lady... now that you see the basic on practicing the punches with this training dummy. Let's see if you can memorize what I taught you." Leroy said wanted to test Rhima if she can memorizes the practice he had taught her.

Rhima tries to do the same as how Leroy did to her earlier, using her intellect and Leroy was surprised of how she had knew. Fahkumram was also surprised after seeing her doing this.

"She's pretty smart. When did she have these intelligence coming from?"

"I would expect a Filipino like you had easily knew the basics of Wing Chun. I maybe a seasonal master who knows this style. You are a very quick thinker." Leroy said getting impressed and decided to spar with her. "But it was your first day so don't try to be arrogant over your intelligence."

"If I'm a average thinker, then I would not know the basics. I just got this on television. I want to know what moves within your style has." Rhima said wanted to know more of Leroy's moves.

"Very well, young lady... you'll see everything once we spar." Leroy said as he goes on his fighting stance and Rhima does the same.

Behind them, Jin was watching from afar, trying to observe them until the wind goes in another direction, noticing that the enemy is here.

At the Black Devil headquarters, Domon was not impressed after learning of the two ladies he had sent had failed. One of the mercenaries came to see him.

"Sir, what plans are you going to do with those two?"

"Since these two had failed to kill Panganiban. I'd say that I want to eliminate them at once." Domon said as one of the mercenaries accept the order.

Domon was angered upon learning that the Panganibans are taking their separate sides and needs to decide which one of the family members to be captured alive.

After the sparring match, Rhima was exhausted and seeing Leroy has more stamina than she is which he gave her some bottle water.

"Here, this would remove your thirst."

"Thank you..."

"This is the end of your first lesson, young lady. You may learn the Wing Chun basics and within our sparring match today. The only lacking of you was stamina. That's why you were tired and exhausted." Leroy said calmly to Rhima and giving her advice. "Perhaps, the next day is to refine both your endurance and stamina. This is not an easy task. Climbing through this stairs would make you feel tired."

As Leroy gives Rhima some advice regarding their first lesson in both basic and spar, Fahkumram noticed Jin's presence and he's been watching at Rhima from afar as he speaks in Thai language in a deeper tone while pointing him with his index finger.

"I would expect you were there for her, isn't it?"

"It's you..." Jin recognizes Fahkumram's presence and seeing his intimidating presence.

"Let me guess, did you travel here to see her?"

"What if I tell you that I'm here for her? I already tell her that I will follow her whenever she goes." Jin replied while trying not to look away from Fahkumram which he noticed his current condition where he has markings on his forehead while being conceal with his yellowish brown hood until two ladies begin to attack Jin which he parries them and knock her with Kazama-Style Turning Leg Strike.

Both Meng and Daya are here to assassinate Jin and they mistook him as Hunyo as Fahkumram decided to step aside and seeing that he wanted to protect Rhima from her attackers and tells Jin to go back.

"Save your energy for later. I might able to hold them off. You may go to the villa we had stayed before she gets back here, now."

Jin knew these two are just a nuisance to him as he leaves. The girls attempted to attack only for Fahkumram to knock them down with a single roundhouse kick. The two girls are cursing over his presence which he decided to test his Muay Thai skills by defeating them both.

Trivia:

*Fahkumram shares his inner pain with Hunyo when they fought in the death matches of the tournament.

*When Jin transforms into Devil Jin and vice versa was taken from his Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

*Jin appears in his devil form's new main outfit which leads him to wear his yellowish brown hood which happens to be his Desert Outfit in story mode and became a customization within the Season DLC pass.

*Fahkumram now wears his main outfit in the game when he watched the practice and sparring session with Rhima and Leroy.

*Rhima's Wing Chun stance is taken from Hitomi from her appearance in Dead Fantasy III.

*When Leroy teaches Rhima the basics of punches it was his pre-fight animation in the game.

*When Fahkumram pointed out on Jin's presence who watches Rhima from afar, it was one of his pre-fight animation in the game of "What are you fighting for?"
