Chapter 7: Polskie Karateka, Lidia Sobieska

Both begins to fight while demonstrating their fighting stances. Lidia takes out Jin first with her karate moves. Rhima watches them spar as Fahkumram came to see her which surprises Broadie from his height.

"You feel all right... I saw you spar with the seasonal Wing Chun master."

Rhima calmly nods and Broadie asks her about their presence.

"This is surreal... are these characters from the game really had stayed in the real world?"

"Basically, they were released by accident. If you play as them." Rhima said knowingly of how they were released.

Jin then knocks her out with a Demon's Paw. Lidia was impressed that they fought equally as both continued to exchange their blows. Lidia has the upper hand by unleashing more blows from her karate moves. Jin was impressed to see how strong she is when she fights. However, she executes her Rage Art as she states.

"Everything I do, I do for my people."

Lidia unleashing a punch to the gut followed by a series of punches and kicks as the last blow, she charges herself in a white aura and she states.

"This is it!"

Lidia then unleashes a powerful punch on Jin's chest, knocking him out as she goes on her fighting stance. Both Rhima and Broadie were shocked to see him getting knocked out. Jin tries to get up until she attempts to punch him to the chest again but calmly spares him to stay down.

"Hmph... I would expect a man like you would ended up getting overpowered. You may have a darker aura within you but I noticed that you just hold back, yourself."

Rhima knows that Jin doesn't want to overpower someone like Lidia because of his Devil Gene and seeing it was his first clean loss against her as Broadie reacts on Lidia's win.

"I can't believe Lidia would beat him just like that."

"Jin holds back because he doesn't wanted to overpower her if his Devil Gene goes out of control again. He just wanted to have a fair fight with her." Rhima said noted of his actions and she reveals to him. "As you know, he's undefeated and he had won two King of the Iron Fist Tournaments. But for now, he had a first clean loss to her."

"Are you saying that this man that I beat is undefeated?" Lidia said while speaking Polish as she allows Jin to get up in a crouching position and sits up on the ground after losing to her as she reveals to Rhima of her reasons to enter the tournament. "I decided to enter the King of the Iron Fist Tournament in order for my people to free from the Zaibatsu's control."

Rhima noticed how trouble she is and her reasons for entering the tournament. Broadie decides to spar with her since he let Lidia to give herself a break.

"Now I like to spar with you... This is my only chance."

Rhima rolls her eyes when he eagerly wants to get spar with him. Leroy decided to tell her about her training.

"It's okay, young lady. You need to show him what you made of within your two days of training."

"All right, you really asked for it." Rhima said finally accepts the challenge as she looked at Jin who finally sits down on the ground. "I'll make up your loss, Jin. You did the right thing to hold back on the fight."

"Yeah..."

Rhima then goes on a fighting stance to spar with Broadie who also goes in his Karate stance. Only to be disrupted by Lidia when she noticed something about her footwear.

"Usu! Usu! Are you sparring with him in sneakers!? You have to wear the right footwear for Karate practitioners like us."

"What is she talking about?" Rhima became confused as Broadie reveals it.

"I think she wants to spar each other properly and it was an actual sport."

Minutes later, Rhima is now seen wearing a black leather sandals and white accents which Lidia had put on her feet as Jin keeps her black sneakers.

"There you go... this footwear will fight him properly. It is just the same as your friend who wore footpads in battle." Lidia said which Rhima wanted to know what it is.

"You know taking up Karate is to fight barefoot. How come you fight wearing sandals made up of foot wraps?"

"This is our footwear when I take upon Polskie Karate. That's when I first won the Karate championship at 18 years old. You get used to it. This will inhibit your movements lightly." Lidia answered in a calmer tone.

"At least the sandals is the same color as her sneakers." Jin commented in a sigh as Rhima then goes back to her fighting stance as Broadie does the same.

Both of them fight equally while exchanging their blows, Leroy was impressed to see her movements.

"Wearing a lighter footwear to display the training I made to her."

Broadie then goes for a punch as Rhima blocks and goes for a leg sweep and a roundhouse kick. They continued to exchange their blows as Lee, Lars and Alisa were surprised to see her doing it. Jin then cheers her to beat him.

"You can do it, Rhima... Keep it up."

Rhima blocks all of his moves which is the same as Lidia's as she knocks him with a straight punch. She then switched fighting styles into Fuin to go with a leaping side kick following by a roundhouse kick but was dodge the last kick as Broadie grapples her with a Judo throw.

"You're pretty good... I'm impressed..."

Rhima finally gets back on her feet and seeing he used the offensive, she changes her style again with Wing Chun which she has been spar with Leroy from earlier as she is more focus on beating Broadie he goes to attack her. She blocks both punches and kicks as she counters with a blow on his arm followed by a hop kick. Lidia was amazed about her current fighting style.

"It's amazing... she can blend three fighting styles with her current style."

"Because Rhima is a prodigy." Jin said who acts straightforwardly to Lidia as he tells her. "Her father forbade her not to use this style for vigilantism and she is not like my relative Asuka. I forced her to teach her how to fight properly when I decided to take her somewhere to train alone. When I tried to rescue her from her enemies, this is what I found out about her. She is a quick learner and that's why she has learn three fighting styles to mixed up with Karate."

"But that's impossible... How can she learn those other fighting styles so quickly?"

"Like I said before... she is a prodigy with an IQ over 200 and why she easily learns to block the opponent's moves so quickly on my present age." Jin grunted while shrugging her off.

Lidia was horribly shocked of Jin's words about Rhima's IQ is over 200 and she knows that she had been graduated so quickly and easy to get a job on her present age which she reacted angrily to him.

"I was graduated in your age and was elected to take in higher politics and how could she graduated so quickly and have a easy job on your age?"

"Just asks Rhima about that..." Jin answered her questions and remarking about her intelligence. "Maybe because she got accelerated on her academic level at her place and was easily graduated. In my case, I was a just high school drop out who ended up in Brisbane to master Kyokushin style of Karate."

Rhima finally overpowers Broadie with multiple punches and a heavy blow and executing her Rage Art by doing a straight kick following by a multiple of kicks, an elbow. a punch, a straight kick and a leg sweep and the last blow, she charges herself in a blue, white and silver aura and knocks him with a heavy blow. Broadie gets up and was confronted by her while begging not to hurt him.

"Okay okay... I lost... don't beat me..."

Rhima smirks as she helps him off his feet and stating to him.

"You really need some practice..."

"Is it true, that you're a prodigy? I was graduated at your age until I was elected in the higher position in politics. And how could you get any jobs so easily?" Lidia said wanted to know from Rhima about her high intellect.

At the coffee shop, while Jin and the others are having some free time practicing their fighting moves at the riverside, Rhima finally tells her the truth of how she became a prodigy in the first place.

"I'm just an average person when I was young and I was captured and experimented by those from DIRGE. By the time I was rescued by my dad and his friends, things had dramatically changed when my head is about stirred up. All of my academics I easily know just by guessing it and everyone is really shocked that I get a perfect score even my teachers would be surprised. Maybe as a result of the experiments of why I had these higher intelligence."

"Hmmm, It is unusual to someone like you to have those. I've never seen you got accelerated from Elementary, High School even at the University at the very young age.: Lidia said knowing of her intellect and she understands. "It's practically normal if you enjoy studying because of higher intelligence. I understand..."

"What about you? You said it earlier that you had graduated at my age?" Rhima said wanted to know about Lidia's life in Poland.

"To be honest, I'm a lot older than you. I start enrolling Law courses on the university at 16 just to follow both my father and my grandfather's footsteps in politics. My father had died in a helicopter crash to protect my grandfather from any forms of assassination." Lidia said finally tells Rhima about her life. "What age do you study at the university?"

"I guess I graduated in Elementary at 10 then graduating High School at 13 and in College, I graduated at the age of 20 when I studied the course of Education."

"Wow... It's a one-year gap between you and me. Incredible..." Lidia said amuses about her accomplishments.

"I picked the Education course because I also followed my father's footsteps to become a teacher since he is the sports science professor in University of the East." Rhima said telling her nicely.

"If you try enrolling Karate to get that accomplishment. Everyone knows you're unstoppable. Since your father teaches you Karate, you could fight to protect yourself. As your friend told me that you were forbade by him."

"Yes, it's true and that was a year ago... After I accidentally released Jin when I played the fifth game as my free time. I like to keep it to myself when I fight to protect someone, undetected but Jin had already seen me and he learns that I'm a fighter like him." Rhima said explaining. "Like Mr. Lee says... Your world and ours are connected."

"So that's why he decided to live on your world. He seems enjoying to stay here despite he's a character like myself in the game." Lidia said knowing of the different surroundings in the real world and their world and decided to ask her the reason of staying in Luang Prabang.

"I have one more question... why did you decided to stay here?"

"The truth is, my dad has been targeted by his former rival named Domon Merkova who he had defeated in the finals of that defunct fighting tournament in Bangkok. Me and my mom got involved on the latter's vengeance against him. So they wanted us to be killed on the spot. My dad and I we take on a separate sides so that we won't be killed by Domon's men. I really wanted to save my mother since she was left behind to stay with Mr. Navarro." Rhima said sadly and Lidia knows how trouble she is and the reason she had stayed here and decided to aid her.

"So Rhima is your name, right... Your friend keeps saying about you being a prodigy and very strategic. I'd like to help you..."

"I guess Jin did told you about me..." Rhima commented about his actions which Lidia smiles.

"I know your life was endangered for that awful story that you told me. Anyway, I maybe the current Prime Minister of Poland to help my people from getting free from the Zaibatsu's control and the reasons of entering that tournament for their sake in our world. I'll help you deal on your recent troubles since I'm here in the real world you had said about."

"I don't understand... you really keeps saying about the Polish people. It's like Zangief from the Street Fighter game to say about fighting for his people in Russia." Rhima remarked about Lidia's words only to laugh at her nicely.

"Hahaha... you are indeed a prodigy after all. You really got my tongue."

"So I guess that you're going back to Broadie..."

"That guy needs more practice and he says that he learned Polskie Karate a few years ago and I saw him that he is a blue belt in karate." Lidia said knowing of Broadie's prowess and she looked at Rhima nicely letting her to keep the sandals. "You don't have to worry, I'm your ally. Keep that sandals, Rhima. It is a token of my friendship to you after we had this nice conversation."

As Lidia leaves to find Broadie, Rhima knows how important this training is to her to fight Domon's group as Jin arrives who is evaporated with sweat on his upper body, seeing that he was tired and exhausted.

"I guess that you worn out..."

"I'm glad that you make up for my loss, Rhima." Jin said nicely to her and she had noticed her current fighting style.

"I don't think Polskie Karate she had meant about is an actual fighting style in Poland. It seems that she has your father's style which is Shotokan."

"What!?"

"The only difference is that Lidia utilizes a traditional style of Shotokan Karate unlike your father who also utilize this style but not traditional." Rhima said noted about Lidia's current fighting style which she tells him. "At least you practiced yourself to refine your moves."

"I think I'll reserve all this refinement once I'm done with Kazuya. I just hoped she was on our side." Jin replied in a serious tone as Rhima looked at him.

At Silom Station, Hunyo and Rolento are preparing for dinner in Sathorn Garden. They were blocked away by a kunoichi in a half-kitsune mask.

"Wait a second, are you Kunimitsu?" Rolento asked as she replied.

"I think you guys meant about is my mother."

The kunoichi prepares her kodachi to fight against both of them as Hunyo warns her to drop the weapon.

"Listen... drop that weapon. We're not doing anything."

"I came here looking for the sword, Yoshimitsu. And It's for my mother's sake." The kunoichi said as she introduces herself. "Since you know my mother, I'm her daughter and my name is Kunimitsu II."

With that, Armor King II arrives to assist both Hunyo and Rolento and informs them to get back immediately.

"You need to get back quickly."

Both of them escape as Kunimitsu II battles Armor King II. Both then noticed Domon's men arrives to capture Hunyo as they fend them off. Julia arrives to aid them and she leads them back to Sathorn Garden.

Armor King II noticed she is a skillful kunoichi and tries to tell her that she is in the real world.

"If you came here looking for Yoshimitsu... he was at Silveria Corporation. Listen, this is the real world lived by real people. If you don't listen to me then I had no other choice but to fight you." Armor King II said while growls like a jaguar and Kunimitsu II understands and seeing Domon's men arrives which leads them to fight side by side.

"What are those men? Who they were looking for?"

"They were the ones who tried to hunt Hunyo. We need to fend them off immediately."

With that, both fight off Domon's men at Silom station which causes a stampede due to their street fight.

Trivia:

*The way Lidia beats Jin in their sparring match it was actually the scene from the near climax in her character reveal trailer where she defeats Jin with her Rage Art.

*One of Broadie's grappling techniques is from Paul Phoenix's own Judo throw.

*The hit effect Rhima utilizes is from Jun Kazama in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 when unleashing her last blow from her Rage Art.

*Lidia's thoughfulness and self-restraint personality from her win animation is seen when she decided to help Rhima on her current problems.

*Rhima also references Zangief from the Street Fighter series due to Lidia's patriotic personality.

*Lidia's Polskie Karate is based on a traditional Shotokan as Rhima had easily guessed her current fighting style.
