Chapter 10: The Truth Behind Harry Bravante

At Eastwood City, Rhima visits the place alongside Jin, Josie, Alisa, Reggie and Leroy as Lars and Margie are looking after Lee. She looked at her phone as Margie had put the GPS location where the Bravante family had lived.

"You seem pretty sad, Rhima." Josie ponders and Rhima sadly tells her.

"I maybe targeted by my dad's rival because I was involved. And now trying to find this numbskull's real identity. I really don't know what caused him to turn evil."

Rhima looked at Jin who remains serious as she tried to think about how to meet the Bravantes. She knew that Jin mostly wears a hood from his jacket that he had worn so that no one knows who he is which makes an idea for her.

"I heard that Mr. Bravante was an old classmate of my father and he is a fan of fighting tournaments where my father had participated in. I hate anybody to show who I really am..."

"Are you saying that the girl's father was your own father's acquaintance?" Leroy said pointing out about Hunyo's classmate which Rhima would remark.

"I just known when I read his old college album. The only thing my dad knows is that he is a nice guy but he suffers from homophobia."

"Really? He's afraid of gay people...?" Reggie said and Rhima sighs in regret.

"Well people who are homophobic are typically caused physical violence towards their own son or daughters who became gays or lesbians. They just wanted to raise them outright. But for them they couldn't accept of what they really were."

"I guess our generation looks just like in Thailand." Reggie remarked as Rhima continues to look at Jin who soon responds.

"You keep looking at me like that."

"Actually, I need some head covers or something. Like you actually worn hooded jackets." Rhima said wanted to find a hooded jacket as Jin replies plainly to her.

"You mean the same hoodie that I have, Rhima. Sure, I can help you out."

"I like to help too..." Reggie said making both Josie and Alisa shrugged to see them both as Leroy observes and seeing that someone is watching them.

At The Block within SM City North EDSA, Marissa was helped by Brian who pushes the grocery cart to go back to the parking lot after taking groceries at the Hypermarket.

"Thanks for helping me, Brian. But why did you let Hwoarang to go off like that."

"I wasn't impressed when he shows off his recklessness. If Baek sees how his student gets injured, he would be upset just like how he was defeated by Jin in his devil form." Brian said noticing of Hwoarang's recklessness as one man who was down and he looked to see a spy with the symbol of "Black Devil" badge at the left of his jacket.

"Mr. Navarro! Get out of here! That guy is trying to kill missy!" Hwoarang yells loudly to Brian while running and Brian knew the mercenary group are trying to run after Marissa.

"Marissa... we have to go!" Brian seriously tells Marissa to come with him as the man who was knocked by Hwoarang stands up and Brian immediately knocks him by pushing the grocery cart and drags her to safety with their groceries.

As the song "Nandyan na si Cardo (Cardo is here)" plays, Brian and Marissa gets inside his Rav-4 as Hwoarang immediately gets inside at the back seat as he start off the engine and run off. Brian also gives the ticket to the ticketing clerk before leaving the lot.

"Hey old man... seems like lots of Black SUVs are trying to go after us." Hwoarang said pointing out on the mercenaries and Brian sees them.

"Those people nowadays... now you make me mad!"

Brian makes a car chase on the black SUVs and Marissa was afraid to get herself hurt. He takes a detour by going to the streets like in Baler then to Del Monte Ave to N.S. Amoranto and to Sto. Domingo road. A woman in a red dress is trying to hurt her younger half-sister who claims she is not family related only for her mother to arrive in a taxi to slap the latter in the face to defend her daughter and attempting to punch her in the face when the woman in the red dress gets provoked from being slapped. Brian's Rav-4 had been chased with the black SUVs are seen during their commotion.

"How come they are taping in Angelicum?" Marissa wondered which Brian sighs in dismay.

"No need to amuse about the taping. The most important thing is your safety, Marissa."

Therefore, a black 2015 Toyota Fortuner had decided to follow Marissa and it was revealed to be Ibrahim which he and Shaheen are doing their best to assist Brian in the chase.

Back at the Le Grand, Rhima disguises herself as the hooded man in white with gold accents while being covered in a black mask as she knocks the door and to see Mrs. Bravante.

"Hello, who are you?"

"Actually... I'm known as the hooded man in white. I heard Mr. Bravante is pretty conservative when it comes to family life." Rhima said in a manly voice.

She eventually lets her in to see the whole surroundings on their condominium and she saw the family portrait of the Bravantes and Harry is one of them as well as the main portrait of him as she thought.

Too bad that he wasted his good looks because of his choice for being a gay man and now he became a transwoman who became armed and dangerous and thinking of himself as a woman and his real identity of him being dead.

Mr. Bravante arrives to see her and was curious to know who he is.

"Excuse me, didn't you know that strangers are not allowed in our home?"

"Did you know about Jun Panganiban? I heard you are a big fan of his." Rhima replied in a stern tone which he recognizes who he is.

"Jun... oh yes... I'm a fan of his because he is the Karate world champion. How did you know?"

"I think your own son had become deranged. You didn't know? Despite your disownment to him, you even let him do what he wants while hiding over his sexuality." Rhima said while in a manly voice. "I think you and your wife had a lack of understanding regarding gender differences. I know you don't understand much about him. Right now if you look at him, he's now a woman."

"I can't accept that Almas is my flesh and blood! And she's not Harry!"

"Don't try to deny it! I know you let him married the girl because it is right. Can't you see that both of you had suffered his personality? Didn't you know that Raquel has been murdered by him?"

"Harry has nothing to do with this...!"

"Don't deny me..." Rhima angrily glares towards Mr. Bravante and berating him for his actions. "Harry and Veron are the same person. Your son is now a transwoman who killed his own former wife because of his exposure of his real identity. All you care about nothing more but the reputation of the family you think it was right for you."

"You mean Raquel is killed..."

A disguised Rhima confirming that Raquel was killed which Mr. Bravante kneeled down in defeat as Mrs. Bravante came to his aid. Mr. Bravante informs his wife that Raquel was murdered, much to her horrible shock.

"I'm really sorry... because of his hiding and always making lies and deception to others. He became so deranged of becoming a woman like he is right now but he was born as a man." Rhima said consoling the married couple and Mr. Bravante had thanked him.

"You seem to know about my son. Please tell me who are you?"

A disguised Rhima knows how troubled the married couple are after learning of Harry's actions and for becoming a transwoman and decided to show it to them. Afterwards, Rhima remains in her disguise as she gets out of the condominium as both Jin and Reggie are waiting for her.

"How did it go?"

"It's a success... I already informed Harry's parents of what he had done. They had a lack of understanding about gender differences and all they care is the family's reputation." Rhima said as she removes her hood to reveal her hair is tied in a bun as well as the black mask.

"It reminds me of how my grandfather would treat me like that before he betrayed me." Jin said remembering of what Heihachi had done to him prior to the events of the third tournament.

Therefore, one of the mercenaries attempt to snipe at Rhima with a sleeping dart only for Leroy to knock him him by throwing his cane.

"Young lady, you'd better get out of here... they are pursuing you! The two ladies are fending off to buy some time!"

"Let's go, Rhima..." Jin said as he drags Rhima to safety as Reggie follows him.

When both are about to flee back to the Acacia Estates, they were cornered by the mercenaries as both Meng and Daya had subdued them to make their escape. As he let Rhima and Reggie gets inside the vehicle, Jin was nearly attacked by one of the mercenaries and heavily knocks him with two punches and a powerful uppercut using Geyser and Jin finally gets inside the vehicle. Leroy also managed to get in as while both Josie and Alisa eventually knocks the mercenaries with their fighting moves and they get inside as well as Fahkumram who defends the two ladies as he gets out of the vehicle to knock one of them.

"Hurry up and we need to get back and fast."

At Morayta, Brian immediately stops his vehicle when he saw the authorities are cornering the entire road. Causing him to get out with Marissa and Hwoarang. Therefore, a 2015 Fortuner rams through to block the black sedan as Ibrahim uses a rocket launcher to shoot the sedan in explosion and Shaheen sees their enemy.

"Ibrahim... I'm glad that you're here to help us."

"The authorities and I will handle them. Those cabronas needs to be taken down. Now you better move with your vehicles and take another route."

Brian nods as they get inside the Rav-4 and driving away and seeing the mercenaries getting out as Ibrahim and Shaheen along with the authorities and to his surprise, Benzon and Katarina are here to join the fray.

"Well well... looks like you're here to help us."

"I heard this organization very well, they are on the most wanted lists. Let's just say we can take them down." Benzon said in a calm tone as Shaheen looked at Katarina who soon removes her brown framed eyeglasses.

"We have to protect the Panganibans from any threats like them."

"That's right... Benzon knows his rival would be in great danger if they continue pursuing her." Katarina said as she goes on her fighting stance.

"Get ready and here they come!" Shaheen said while speaking Arabic as the mercenaries begins the assault as the authorities including Benzon, Katarina, Shaheen and Ibrahim battle them in a riot as most civilians are trying to run from their lives.

Back at the Acacia Estates, Tessie had decided to let Jin and Rhima to stay at Harry's old tenant and Rhima receives a video call from her father Hunyo regarding about their hiding and realizing that his wife is in danger. And Domon is trying to kill them for vengeance.

"Rhima, listen... I can't let your mother be endangered because of our hiding. We have to act now."

"How long you would be back, dad?" Rhima asked which Hunyo confirms that he will be back to the Philippines to deal against Domon as Kunimitsu II sees Tessie who is with them.

"It's you Tessie... I apologize for not finding about that Veron Almas."

"Don't apologize, Kuni... This young lady had found Veron when she already infiltrated this estate. I really hope if you and this girl's father will be back here in the Philippines."

"So it is true... My target is truly in their home country."

"Dad... I know your rival might be there in Bangkok. You need to keep distance with him. In a meantime, I temporarily stayed here at Harry's former condominium."

"I know Bravante. He is a straight guy and wanted his family reputation to be clean and he knows me cause I always hang around with my fellow professors at the university. It was his fault for not realizing his son's sexuality and turned into a criminal. Something like this needs to be corrected because here in the Philippines, discriminating to the LGBTQ is against the law." Hunyo said telling his daughter. "I'm doing my best to strengthen myself up to battle Domon while you do your best to find your mother."

"All right, Mr. Navarro is with her. I just hoped if I can find her in disguise."

As soon as both hung up, Kunimitsu II would expect her target was in the Philippines all along until her knife from her sheath went missing.

"Hey! Who gets my knife!?"

"Hey fox girl... your knife was in the kitchen and Sally thinks it was a kitchen knife." Rolento pointed out about her knife until Kunimitsu II noticed a butterfly balisong pocket knife has been strapped on Rolento's jeans while concealing with his jacket.

"Wow... that thing in your pants. Looks like an interesting weapon."

"Oh this..." Rolento and finally unveils the pocket knife which is in fact a balisong knife. "That was a balisong knife. It's pretty handy to use on any risky missions."

"I'll be taking your weapon." Kunimitsu II wanted to steal from Rolento which he stops her.

"Hold it, young lady. If you want to get these knives, these were found around in Batangas. Did your mother taught you how to steal?"

"..."

"The first Kunimitsu did steal the last time, Rolento. But she failed to get the weapon." Hunyo said pointing out on Kunimitsu's failures in stealing Yoshimitsu's weapon and he tells Kunimitsu II about it. "Currently, young lady. Since you want to get Yoshimitsu's sword as your mother wanted, don't you know that sword Yoshimitsu has already been cursed and why Yoshimitsu had a Fumaken as a back up weapon to suppress it. If you want to get that weapon because of your mother's wishes, your lives including hers will be much worse than you think."

"The sword my mother wanted? Has been cursed? But I don't understand..." Kunimitsu II was shocked upon learning of Hunyo's words that Yoshimitsu sword is cursed as Hunyo looked at the window and knowing that Domon is already making his move.

"Merkova, you endangered my family as well as your attempt to hurt my wife. I'm going to put an end to your misery."

Trivia:

*When Rhima poses as a man, she resembles Ed from his first alternate costume in Street Fighter V but with a cloth mask on her face.

*The scene of the Philippine teleserye, Kadenang Ginto (The Heiress) where Daniela Mondragon (played by Dimples Romana) hurts her younger half-sister Cassandra "Cassie" Mondragon (played by Francine Diaz) until Cassie's mother, Romina Andrada-Mondragon (played by Beauty Gonzalez) immediately slaps Daniela for hurting her daughter made their cameo in my fic during the car chase when Marissa remarked their actions are taken from an actual taping.

*When Katarina removes her sunglasses, she didn't threw it like she did in her character ending.

*Kunimitsu II performs one of her win animations when she attempted to steal Rolento's pocket balisong knife and was stopped by Rolento himself.

*Marks the first time, Hunyo reveals to Kunimitsu II about Yoshimitsu's cursed sword whom her mother had wanted to steal from him in the second game and knowingly their lives will be in danger if the sword possesses the wielder like Yoshimitsu did on his ending in Tekken 6.
