Chapter 12: Hunyo's Unfolded Pasts
As everyone is asleep, Hunyo looked at the skyview and is ready to battle against Domon one last time. He remembers of how the Tekken characters came out from the PSP back when the Tekken 5 game was popular at that time as he thought.
It's been 14 years since I met Lee when he rescued me from getting ganged up with a group of street thugs. I really admit that I was a lot like Jin at times whenever I scared them if I'm mad and why Rhima didn't tell me that she had released Jin the same way as how Lee had spoken to me at the time.
Flashback:
"You're pretty determined to fight those muggers and I noticed that you're a fighter like myself to hold them off."
"That voice, who are you?" Hunyo said angrily while getting caught off by two thugs.
"If you want to be saved, then you're gonna call me. I will you give you a hint. You keep using me in the game whenever you play so much on that black PSP gadget you had owned."
Just as one of the thugs attempting to stab Hunyo with an ice pick, Hunyo angrily yells.
"Stop being a cheeky talker, LEE!"
A white light ensues to knock the thugs out of the ground as Lee comes out of his black PSP on its own with his primary attire in Tekken 5 and he sees Hunyo who is surprised to see his character he had played in the game is real.
"Well well... where is this place... am I in the alleyway?" Lee wondered why he was in the middle of the streets in Malanday as the street thugs get up and Hunyo corrects him.
"You're in Metro Manila, Philippines, dumbass."
"Fair enough, it was my first time visit here in the Philippines. Let's put those muggers out." Lee smiled in delight to see Hunyo's angry reaction and together both battle the street thugs with their respective fighting styles.
Flashback over:
Hunyo can't forget about the whole incident when he met Lee for the first time as Kunimitsu II came to see him since she has no attempt on stealing weapons or any belongings and she was seen wearing a purple tank top and pink cotton shorts while retaining her current style in a high ponytail.
"Why are you still awake?"
"Something I just remembered back 14 years ago. Where it all started when Lee and other characters like you had came out living in the Metro and everything is changed since." Hunyo said which surprises Kunimitsu II.
"Did my mother knew about all this? After all you know about my mother's history on the game we came in and I know her history of how she had failed to get that sword from Yoshimitsu and to forge to make a replica version of the sword for the sake of my great-grandfather."
"Yoshimitsu had his reasons to expel your mother from his clan because he knew she would steal the clan's funds by theft and now all of her efforts to get his sword ended up in failure." Hunyo said as he looked at Kunimitsu II. "Right now, the sword you wanted to steal from him would cost your humanity and Yoshimitsu knows that. His main sword has now been cursed and corrupted because it loses its powers."
Kunimitsu II finally learns from Hunyo about the sword that her mother had failed to get from Yoshimitsu and became cursed. She soon wants to know from Hunyo of how they came out of their world.
"Can you tell me everything about how each of us came out into the real world? I have the right to know."
"That was 14 years ago when my younger daughter Rhima was just 7 years old. Lee had told me a lot of things of why they came out in our world and they continue to live here up to this day." Hunyo said and finally tells the story of how things had started. "I was rescued by him when I'm about to be killed by one of the street thugs to get stabbed with an ice pick. But he came out in a flash of light when my black PSP had glowed and we teamed up to defeat them."
"So it was started from one PSP gadget, I saw some students in Mishima Polytechnic had those during my undercover but it never glowed like yours." Kunimitsu II said surprisingly on Hunyo's story as he tells her.
"Everything changes when I informed my late best friend Kei about this madness and Lee tells us a lot after Yoshimitsu had come out on Kei's own PSP."
Flashback:
"Actually, Yoshimitsu... we're not in our world at this lifetime. We're in the real world where these two had currently lived." Lee said telling Yoshimitsu about the real world and became amused of wanting to know more of living in the real world.
"I'd like to know something since you came out along with Yoshimitsu. Here in the real world is very peaceful and quiet." Keiya said wanting to know from Lee which he clearly admits it.
"Well I'd be honest with you two. As a robotics CEO myself would know all sorts of robotics and technology, your world and our world are connected. Whoever is the person who chose us in the game, it will be chosen as their partners when we get through your world. We're not eventually living with game essence in our bodies because we're just like you two as a human being."
"Hmmm... sounds like a great idea. I like to see for myself of this place and I'm impressed with this long haired Japanese guy." Yoshimitsu said and became intrigued to know more in the real world and Keiya had seen this.
"Hunyo, I'm afraid we have to find some people who also caused the summoning of the game characters. That way we need them to let them go back to where they belong."
Flashback over:
"You mean to say that it was the mission to locate to take side with you and letting us to go back to where we came from, is that it?" Kunimitsu II reacted and Hunyo sighs at her.
"It was part of our mission to locate anyone who summons you or other game characters like you do. And this is how I meet Rolento, Sally and Brian. Other characters like you, who has accidentally summoned and not having partners like we did are stray ones.
"But what happened when we go back there...?"
"Living in peaceful as always if Lee wasn't around since he gets back to his own world. But my entire life gets a lot of misfortunes. Before Lee and other characters had departed to their world they came from, they help us infiltrate John Vanderkaum who is a rogue member of DIRGE who kidnapped and experimented my younger daughter Rhima to become their deadly assassin and we just rescued her on time. Suddenly, my best friend passed away after he used up all of his energy to use his Omniyoji magic to destroy his territory and I was the one who activated the portal to let Lee and the others to go back to their world following his death." Hunyo explained sadly. "In the following years, my son Jun Carlo was killed in a car accident and he is the one I favored the most than my younger daughter Rhima. But the biggest mistake I made to her before my vacation with my wife in Sweden, I gave her a pink PSP as a birthday gift."
"It's normal to give your daughter a gift. But why did you say it was a big mistake." Kunimitsu II ponders about Hunyo's sadness which he closes his eyes in regret.
"She'd never tell me everything since we get back to the Philippines just to see her again. She just released Jin on her pink PSP when he spoke to her just like Lee had spoken to me."
"Oh my God... she followed your footsteps..." Kunimitsu II reacted surprisingly and Hunyo reveals to her.
"I don't know how Rhima gets so smart and why we left her in the first place because she can handle this by herself due to the experiments that Vanderkaum had put on her and became a genius prodigy with an IQ over 200. I forbade her for using the self-defense techniques that I taught her in Karate. But Jin succeeded to break my code of forbidding Rhima to get involved in the fight."
"When did you met that guy?"
"Following these incidents where game characters can come out of its own from any arcade machines or any forms of game platforms. Jin became Rhima's game partner since and I know these two are romantically involved and Lee knows what he meant about Rhima being the chosen one to make things connected between both of our worlds." Hunyo said and another flashback occured when he and Marissa are about to get back to the Philippines.
Flashback:
"Come out, Lee... Show yourself..." Hunyo gritted angrily when he heard Lee's voice.
His black PSP eventually glowed in a white light and finally releases Lee and became impressed to see them again.
"My oh my... am I in a different place or in the Metro?"
"You're in Sweden, Lee." Hunyo corrected in dismay which Lee tells him while wooing at his wife.
"You haven't changed since we've last met. Just look at you, Hunyo and you look just like Kazuya in his present age at 49. And Marissa, you haven't changed as well and I love your beauty." Lee comments on Hunyo's present age while wooing his wife Marissa and Hunyo angrily raises his brow to see him acting this way and questions him.
"Now you tell us, why are you here? And you just come out of your own."
"I hate to break it you, Hunyo. Your daughter Rhima was actually the chosen one that brings between both of our worlds to be connected. And frankly, Jin was very interested to her."
The scene changes where Hunyo just caught off both Rhima and Jin at the hillside that leads to the Rizal province where they can see the entire view point of Metro Manila.
"Rhima! Get away from him!"
"Dad! why are you here?" Rhima said surprisingly as Jin looked at her.
"Rhima, is that your father? He's..."
Hunyo eventually jumps into the hill and begins to have a fist fight with Jin. Both are equally matched in terms of physical strength but Jin has more strength due to his Devil Gene. Both eventually punching each other's faces, almost knocking them down in a distance while in exhaustion.
"Huff huff... Damn it... we're equally matched."
"..."
"Dad, stop... Jin has nothing to do with this!" Rhima said telling him which Hunyo stands up.
"I'd never expect someone who had the same strength as me. But he has an extra strength due to his demonic blood on his veins."
Flashback over:
"I first met Jin when he was actually on my daughter's side. I was initially hostile at first to think he was the enemy due to him being an anti-hero on the sixth game he appears in. But I realized that he was a genuine person until I met his mother Jun Kazama on the way. This is how he learns about responsibilities in the human life rather than his own. I'm also became a bad father to Rhima because I always kept secrets from her, for who she was and having a game partner like I do. She deserves to get angry at me for hiding things from her." Hunyo said sadly. "Despite Jin and I had a friction in whoever wins the fight, I knew Rhima wouldn't like me to get myself killed from him. When I heard Rhima was captured again by Vanderkaum for his own schemes, we teamed up to save her and leading Vanderkaum to get defeated from both of us."
"So what happened to that guy you were saying?" Kunimitsu II said wanted to know.
"According to the police reports, Vanderkaum was murdered inside of the mental asylum where he was recently confined until Jun had admitted that she is the one responsible for killing him when she had turned into Unknown. I guess you don't know her much about her." Hunyo said telling her. "But Jun had caught me up, which forces my daughter to save me from getting controlled."
"..."
"Following Jun's disappearance, Rhima and I located Jin at the beach where he was found unconscious. Probably due to his devil form is getting out of control. Now I realized what Lee had saying about both of our worlds being connected. Because Jin and Rhima are the ones who can make the two worlds into a better place and I finally let her go to be with him." Hunyo said telling her nicely. "That's why if game characters like you, it was a different climate when you stay here in the real world. If Jin was in comatose in the the seventh and the current main game and when he came back here, he was initially weakened before he slowly recovers his composure. And it was completely different than in your world."
"So that's it... I tried to see the whole surroundings in this world and is completely different than in our world. When I first met Tessie, I almost got nauseous over her presence but she is a nice person just like my mother took care of me. If my ninja father would tried living in the modern periods like you, he will enjoy it." Kunimitsu II said realizing the connection between the two worlds and Hunyo looked at her.
" Since Armor King II just caught you up because of Domon's mercenaries are coming to look for me. I guess from now on, you're on our side. I just hoped you won't cause anymore trouble like you did with Rolento earlier."
"Okay... If you need a thief or someone who knows about undercover and stealth, I'm your woman."
Hunyo jokily smiles at her because he knew Kunimitsu and Kunimitsu II are female kunoichis who are the master of thievery and since she is the one can undercover just like Rhima does.
As Rhima decided to stay at Rick's place at Doroteo Jose, Rick knows her problems since both were targeted by Domon and the Black Devil.
"I would expect you and Jin would stay at my place. Are you sure you're gonna continue masquerading as a guy?"
"..."
"Cheer up, Panganiban... I know how you feel. You hate to get caught off by those bastards and being concerned about your mother's well being." Rick said trying to cheer Rhima up.
"She will be fine... at least for now." Jin replied in a deeper tone.
"But what just happened, Jin. Is there a problem earlier?"
"She just took down one of the Black Devil mercenaries under her disguise and the victim became attracted to her." Jin sighs and became angry while raising his brow. "I feel jealous if other guys would like to go with her so bad."
"Don't feel angry, Jin. She had told me about the guy she had saved and he is gay. I'm sure you're getting disgusted over one of them." Rick said trying to clarify to Rhima about the man which causes Jin to get horribly shocked.
"Oh crap... I didn't know..."
"Anyway, Lars and the others are coming here tomorrow. I think for the safety with both her and her mom from those bastards..." Rick said which Jin realizes why guys are attracting to Rhima in her male disguise and seeing them as gays as he surprisingly thought.
Not like those woman who were actually men like me during our travels in Thailand. But for those guys who is attracted to Rhima's disguise, they easily got deceived from her. She's in-genius...
Because of this deception made by her while disguising as a man, Jin continues to look after before Lars and the others to visit tomorrow.
Trivia:
*This shows more of their pasts within the unofficial Strangest Things writing concepts.
*The scene where both Jin and Hunyo punching each others' faces are taken in Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign where both Lars and Kazuya do the same thing.
*Jin appears in the flashback was one of his customization in Tekken 6 which is his casual one, a black short sleeved turtleneck and both his gray pants and black shoes from his CEO outfit.
*This also explains how the Tekken characters still lives in the real world because it was the same time as in the World of Tekken and not living with game essence as it was seen in first fic, The Strangest Things. This may be the reason why they enjoyed living life in the Philippines or they called it as Josie's country.
*Hunyo also reveals the different climates between both worlds.
*One of Kunimitsu II's win animations can be heard when Hunyo had allowed her to join at their side to battle Domon and the Black Devil organization.
