I Need a Hero
Summary: AU: Marinette is near the end of her rope with Lila and her lies, with no one on her side, except Chloé, even Adrien has been converted. What happens when an old friend from the past is transferred into the class? Lila and, entire class bashing. A new black cat is chosen. Marinette/Bastion. Kagami, Chloé, and Luka friendship. This is very AU, concerning heroes, characters, personalities, and love interests, there is mentions of suicide and even implied rape. You have been warned. If you don't like it, don't read it.
Hi everyone, yes this chapter is up rather fast but there wasn't much t change. The main changes are more description about Bastion's room, rec room, more dialogue and more family interaction between the Kaibas.
Chapter 3: The New Cat
The group arrived at the Kaiba mansion, which was even bigger than the Agreste mansion and its gates had Blue Eyes White Dragon statues on each side. There was a Blue Eyes fountain in the center of the driveway surrounded by flowers. On one side there was a hedge maze and to the left was the garage. "Welcome to my home. It's not much," said Bastion with a shrug. Everyone else had wide eyes and the three girls who knew him best looked at him and he smiled, "What?" he asked.
"Only you would say that this isn't much," said Marinette with a smile. Bastion didn't answer because Roland had just opened the door, and everyone hopped out.
Seto asked if Bastion would like to have a lunch with his friends in the rec room or with the family. "It's your choice son, don't feel obligated to join us," he said.
"If no one minds, I would like to spend time with my friends and I promise I'll spend time with you later," he told his brother, who nodded, "Great, come on everyone," said Bastion and he lead them up the stairs, first showing them his room. Marinette's eyes widened; it was bigger than Adrien's room!
"Woah!" said several people.
Bastion had a queen size bed with a stars and moon motif on his covers and pillow and a rug on the floor with the same stars and moon motif. On the left side of his bed was a bedside table with a matching light and a picture of Marinette on it and a silver alarm clock as well. He had a large walk-in closet, a desk, and chair, both made of the finest mahogany. There was a laptop on the desk and a printer/photocopier underneath the desk, there was also space for Bastion to do his homework. His walls were a light shade of cream, and his carpet was pale blue. On the walls there were posters of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Judgement Dragon, the rest of the Lightsworns and Ladybug.
"You're a Ladybug fan?" asked Zoé and Bastion nodded with grin. He walked over to the desk and placed his bag next to it. He took out the day's homework and the stationary he needed and placed them on the desk for later.
There was a very full trophy cabinet filled with golden trophies for everything from sports, to dueling to academics and there were also numerous medals and certificates on the wall above the cabinet as well. There were two shelves filled with Lightsworn figurines and there was a Ladybug figurine too, on a shelf all by itself.
"Why is Ladybug all by herself?" asked Alix.
"I don't think that many of the other heroes are good enough to stand beside her and I couldn't get the Queen Bee figurine," and he looked at Chloé who blushed, she was happy and embarrassed. So was Marinette. Kagami wondered what was wrong with her as Ryuko.
"What's wrong with other heroes like Ryuko and Viperion?" she asked.
"Oh, nothing's wrong with those two, I like them a lot but they're very hard to come by in Japan. Ladybug was pretty much the only one along with Cat Noir and Rena Rouge that made it onto the shelves in the first place," said Bastion, she nodded at that, it made more sense now. They continued to look around the room.
A full-length mirror stood in one corner and there was a door next to it that lead into Bastion's on-suite bathroom. There were two bookcases filled with schoolbooks, research books, pencils, pens, coloured paper, glue, scissors, and lined paper. There was another, smaller bookcase with a few books that seemed to be about Duel Monsters, famous Duelists, dueling magazines and it also held spare cards. There was another desk next to it with another chair, the desk had Duel Monster cards all over it and some deck boxes too. Above the desk were pictures of famous duelists that all had an autograph on them. He had a small table with a small music player on it and some CDs piled underneath in a slot in the table, it was next to his bed on the right side. There was also a cozy chair with the same stars and moon motif in the corner with a small table beside it. On the table was a book, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, it had a bookmark in it.
"I'm feeling very inspired to draw," said Nathaniel, after taking in the fireplace at the other end of the room with picture of him and his family on the top of it. There was a mounted Eye of Wadjet also known as the Eye of Horus mounted above the fireplace and a picture of a stone table depicting the ancient Priest Seto against the Pharoah next to it. He also had pictures of the three Egyptian Gods on the other side of the Eye of Wadjet.
"Bastion, your room is amazing but, apart from your figurines, there's nothing to just, have fun with," said Marinette.
"My bedroom is meant to be for homework and sleeping. I have my own rec room down the hall, it's best to keep work and fun separated," Bastion explained.
"Oh," and she nodded. Bastion took his friends on a tour after that, his rec-room was amazing. It was huge, carpet was a lovely cream color, the walls were white and had numerous posters on them, there was a poster of the current crew of One Piece, one of Tokyo Mew Mew, a poster of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma and Hunter X Hunter. There was a poster of Hellsing, Naruto and Assassination Classroom, along with one of Black Butler. There were two large posters of Pokémon and Digimon and one of Fairy Tail, and one of the Sailor Scouts. Two posters stood out. One was a Kim Possible poster but with Monkey Fist, Shego, Drakken and Duff Killigan.
"Did you make that poster Bastion?" asked Nathaniel.
"Yes, because I can't stand that goody-two-shoes, I know best and I can do anything brat, Kim Possible and her sidekick, Don Stuffable is lame," said Bastion, "The villains are much more interesting and likable."
Alix and a few others looked at Marinette when Bastion got the sidekicks name wrong, she shrugged, "It's just how much he doesn't care about the character that he doesn't remember his real name," she explained. Everyone nodded.
The other poster was a Harry Potter one, but it too had specific characters in it. Snape, the Malfoy family and Lily Potter with a sunset background and a silvery doe behind snape and Lily but standing in between their heads as they were standing next to each other. "The same thing as the KP poster?" asked Nathaniel and Bastion nodded.
There were some Disney posters like one of Elsa from Frozen and a poster of Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of the Disney crew. In one corner there was a large plasma screen TV with all sorts of gaming consoles, DVDs, and games in cabinets next to them with comfortable beanbags in front of the tv. In another corner was basically an entire wall lined with books and two cozy couches, in the middle of the room was a pool table and also a foosball table. Then there was a corner for arts and crafts. There were shelves with Lego on them and a table with a half-finished Lego version of Hogwarts on it. There was a mini fridge and a large music stereo and a piano and some other instruments too. There were shelves filled with board games, cards, puzzles and numerous figurines too. There was a chess table and another four tables, each with a gaming computer on it. Everyone was wide eyed at this room of wonders.
"Wow!" they all shouted.
"This is just mine and Noah's rec room, though he does have a smaller one for himself if I have friends over," said Bastion. "The mini basketball court, indoor pool and gym are downstairs. We have another pool outdoors and a small soccer field and baseball field. It's not much," he said.
"Seriously," they all asked and he just grinned, rubbing the back of his head. Everyone stared for a moment and then laughed, he was so sincere about it and wasn't trying to brag or make anyone uncomfortable.
"Don't worry Bastion, everyone will get used it," said Marinette and Chloé and Kagami also nodded.
"Hey, come on, I haven't even mentioned the three-story treehouse, the quad bike track, the adventure trail and the dojo," he said. Everyone stared at him. "Oops, I just did, didn't I?" he asked. They all nodded. "Sorry, I'm not trying to brag, I swear. I guess I'm just used to this, so it's not much to me," he said, looking a little shy.
"It's ok Bastion, let's just have a good time," said Chloé and they all nodded. It was a great afternoon. They played games, music with Juleka playing some riffs with Bastion. They ordered take-out for lunch as well, they basically behaved like ordinary teenagers.
"So, Bastion, what are you planning on doing after school, you know when you grow up?" asked Marinette after playing some games.
"I'll probably be working for my dad," he said with a shrug.
"Aren't you going inherit the company?" asked Chloé.
"No way, my dad loves Kaiba Corp too much, he's fought so hard for it, against everyone and anyone, Zigfried von Schroeder, Dartz, the big five, anyone who has tried, has eventually regretted it and been curb stomped into the ground. The only way I'm inheriting it if and when he dies. Even then, my uncle will have a little more claim than me since he owns two percent, but maybe my dad with leave it to me in his will. It doesn't bother me at all though, I'm free to do whatever job I please and so is Noah."
"Isn't Noah actually the blood son of Gozaburo?" asked Kagami, who was more clued in on the in-depth family history of the Kaibas. Everyone else except for Marinette and Chloé looked curious.
"He was. When my father and uncle found his mind floating around in cyberspace because he'd created a backup of it, they transferred his consciousness into my unborn brother's mind and so he was rescued and is very happy being a little brother and a big brother with a family who loves him," said Bastion. Juleka and the others were amazed to hear this information.
"That's sweet," said Marinette."
"Anything else you want to share about your future?" asked Chloé.
"I might create my own company, I already have ideas that I'm working on," he admitted, and the three main girls grinned, knowing that Bastion's ideas were going to change the world.
Everyone was escorted home by Bastion, and he dropped Marinette off last, "It's wonderful to be together again Marinette. I'll pick you up tomorrow," he said and kissed her on the cheek, leaving a blushing Marinette with no thoughts of Adrien but plenty of the charming young man who was her hero. Tikki just smiled as Marinette waltzed inside and sighed in happiness. She had felt the transfer of the ring from Adrien to Bastion and she was happy that Marinette would have a proper cat to help her.

Bastion arrived home with a smile on his face.
"Did you have fun with all your friends?" asked Serenity.
"Yes mom, I did," he said. "Hey Noah, we've got some time before dinner, do you want to want to have a quick game of cards or something?"
"Sure thing, thanks bro," he said.
"No problem," Bastion and they went off to play. Serenity smiled; she liked the fact that her boys were so close.
Despite his busy day and playing with Noah for a bit Bastion found time to do his homework before dinner and frowned at how easy it was. He shook his head; he'd have to take it up with his parents.
When dinner rolled around the four Kaibas ate together, and Seto and Serenity asked about their son's about how their days went at their new schools.
"My day was fun, and I really like my teacher and my fellow classmates. I even made two new friends," said Noah. "Their names are Samuel and Tara, they're both really nice," he said.
"That's wonderful Noah, we're happy for you," said Serenity.
"Yeah, nice job Noah," said Bastion with a grin.
"It seems we made the right choice of schools, I'm glad you're happy son," said Seto.
"Thanks everyone," said Noah.
"Bastion, what about you?" asked his mother.
Bastion sighed and proceeded to tell them everything and show them the recordings of the day. His parents were not amused at the bullying and the way the teachers handled things.
"I'll look into this, and you may see some changes if I don't like what I see," said Seto with a frown.
"Thanks dad. Could I trouble you and the rest of the family and Roland to come to the lounge after dinner?" His family nodded.
"What are you planning kid?" asked Plagg when the two of them were in the lounge and waiting for the rest of the family to show up.
"Telling the truth," he said.
"Wait, what do you mean?" Plagg asked in alarm. Bastion just smiled and turned as his family walked in.
"Plagg, claws out!" he said, in front of his family he transformed and within a few seconds Bastion was standing there but looking quite different. He wore a black suit that was made from an extremely durable fabric that looked like real cat fur, his left hand was coloured white but the ring on his middle finger was black. He wore a black belt with a white cat head for a buckle, around his neck was a white collar, it was separated from the rest of the outfit. His eyes were cat shaped and a golden color, he wore a black mask with a pink nose and a white mark that started from the bridge of his nose up to the top of the mask. He had real whiskers, three on each side, which started from the middle of his cheeks. His hair was long, black, and shaggy, reaching down to his shoulders with a single white bang hanging in between his eyes. He had real cat ears, which were black in colour with the right one having a small white, round spot on it near the top and he also had a real cat's tail, which was all black except for the tip which was white. His feet were covered in the same furry material as the rest of his body and looked more like paws than boots. He grinned and his family saw that he had longer and sharper canines to add to the look. His staff was attached to his left hip and completed the look. "So, what do you think?" he asked.
His father just nodded in acceptance as did his uncle and Noah. His mother sighed and nodded. Roland took it in stride.
"So, explain with you need to do," said his father.
Bastion explained to them all that he needed to help Ladybug defeat Shadow Moth and he asked that they accept that he was going to be in danger now.
"Well, it's not as though we're strangers to strange and dangerous things," said Noah with a smirk, Mokuba smirked as well. Seto also smirked but he requested that Bastion capture an Akuma for his new project and to keep his brother safe.
"I promise dad. Could I ask if we could try and make a hideout for Ladybug, myself and other Miraculous users?"
Seto smirked, "Sure, why not. It'll be a challenge and every teen wants a Batcave," he said with a smirk and Bastion smirked as well.
"I want you to be careful," said Serenity.
"I will mom, I promise," he said. Roland sighed and said he'd be available if he was needed. "Thanks everyone. Plagg, claws in," and he detransformed.
"What in the world are you doing? No one can know your identity!" he exclaimed.
"I'm showing my family that I trust them and that they can trust me. We try not to do secrets unless it's a surprise or we're planning a birthday," he said.
Plagg rolled his eyes and looked at the Kaiba family. "So now they're going to know the secret and be in danger," he said. The Kaibas laughed, "What's so funny?" he asked.
"We've delt with magic and danger so many times it's not funny, Mokuba and I have even had our souls removed and placed into cards. I've travelled to the past, I was a priest in ancient Egypt with a magic item called the Millennium Rod, I've seen a great Leviathan, stood on Atlantis, fought against evil psychos, there's nothing that that worm Shadow Moth can do to scare me," said Seto.
"Same here," said Mokuba.
"Even I wasn't exempt," said Serenity, "I was dragged into a virtual world and my body was on the line, I was also there for Battle City and while I stayed mostly out of it, I was still a part of it and it turns out that I'm the reincarnation of the lady who held the Blue Eyes in her soul, so I'm fine with my son being a hero. My husband, my big brother, my friends, they're all heroes too, I'm used to this by now."
"I was the one to drag everyone into said Virtual World and put everyone's lives at risk, but I gave up my chance to live again and saved everyone. Now I have a great family and I'll support my brother every step of the way," said Noah with a smile.
"I've been on some of these adventures and seen them happen, I will do my best to protect Master Bastion and the rest of his siblings," said Roland.
Bastion grinned and looked at Plagg, "See, everything is fine," he said, and he took off the ring, placing it on the table.
"What are you doing?" he asked and then Bastion looked at his father, they exchanged a look and Seto nodded, picking up the ring. "Hey, now what are you doing?" asked Plagg, what was going on?
"Son, this ring is very special, I'm giving it to you to look after," said Seto, handing Bastion the ring.
"I'll be careful dad, I promise," said Bastion, putting the ring back on.
"Bastion, can you explain what just happened?" asked a freaked out Plagg.
"Truth, Plagg," he said.
"Wha…?"
"It's simple, 'Bastion where did you get that ring?' 'My dad gave it to me, he said it's very special, so I'm never taking it off,'" said Bastion, playing how a conversation would go. "You see Plagg, if someone asks where I got this ring, I can truthfully say that my dad gave it to me, and it is very special. No one will have reason to believe that it's the Cat Miraculous, my dad gave it to me after all and it's the truth," he said with a smirk.
"Oh, wow, you're good, taking the ring off, your dad, everything, that's a plan and it's all true. Genius. Hey, do you have any camembert?" he asked.
"I'll get you some," said Serenity with a smile and she did.
"Thanks, Mrs Kaiba," said Plagg politely before eating it.
"So big bro, what's your superhero name going to be?" asked Noah.
"Felis Nero," he said.
"Cool!" Noah exclaimed and his parents and uncle also nodded in approval.
"Not bad, very creative actually," said Plagg, still eating his cheese.
"Thanks. I'm going to transform now and see if I can find Ladybug to let her know of her change in partner," said Bastion.
"Normally, my old user would have made a pun, pawtner," said Plagg.
"I don't do stupid puns, they're a distraction," said Bastion, "Plagg, claws out!" and he transformed. "I'll be back later, by eleven at least, unless an Akuma shows up," he said to his family.
"We trust you, just come back home safe," said his mother and he nodded, leaping out of the window and running off.

"This is bad, very, very bad," said a very anxious Adrien, he'd been searching for Plagg and his ring all day, and he couldn't tell Ladybug, he didn't know her civilian identity. What was his lady going to do without him? He was sure that Plagg had been captured by Shadow Moth, that was the only reason he could think of for Plagg not coming back to him. He had to find him and fast. To top it ll off his father was showing great interest in the Kaibas. Just great, could life get any worse?

Lila was furious, several of her lies had been exposed, she'd been humiliated by Bastion Kaiba and Marinette now had actual friends again! "I'll show you Marinette, I'll make Bastion hate you. Bastion Kaiba, you'll be nothing but a puppet hanging off my arm, a trophy for me to rub in Maritrash's face. You'll pay too." How wrong she was.

Ladybug was wondering where Cat Noir was, he was late for their patrol, and she sighed, "He's becoming more and more unreliable."
"I hope that that will not be the case with me," said a voice, and Ladybug turned in a defensive way to see a new Cat Noir! Her jaw dropped.
