I Need a Hero
Summary: AU: Marinette is near the end of her rope with Lila and her lies, with no one on her side, except Chloé, even Adrien has been converted. What happens when an old friend from the past is transferred into the class? Lila and, entire class bashing. A new black cat is chosen. Marinette/Bastion. Kagami, Chloé, and Luka friendship. This is very AU, concerning heroes, characters, personalities, and love interests, there are mentions of suicide and even implied rape. You have been warned. If you don't like it, don't read it. This chapter is much longer than before and deals with several things, there are big changes in this one.
WARNING! This chapter contains mentions of thinking of SUICIDE. Please, if this upsets you then, for your own mental health do not read this chapter. It is just a small mention but I know topics like this can upset people. Please read at your own discretion.
Chapter 4: Trust
"Who are you? Where's Cat Noir? How did you get the Cat Miraculous?" she asked one question after another.
"I'm the real holder of Plagg and the Cat Miraculous, Plagg told me himself and he gave me the Miraculous himself as well. I know that you're the Guardian and you were really sick of Cat Noir's attitude," he said. "But my name is Felis Nero, I hope that you'll allow me to work beside you as a partner," he said and waited for her reaction.
"I don't believe this! I wasn't even informed of this by Plagg," she said.
"He was desperate to get away and to me, so it was a rather rushed escape. Perhaps you'd like to talk to Plagg himself?" he asked.
"That would be the best idea," she nodded.
"Plagg, claws in!" he said, her eyes widened. He was de-transforming in front of her! She didn't even move; she was so shocked.
"BASTION!" she yelled, upon seeing who he was.
"A little louder Marinette, they didn't hear you in Alaska," said Bastion, slightly sarcastically.
"But, what…how…?"
"Yeah, how did you know?" asked Plagg, looking at his new bearer.
"I know Marinette, every bit of her, I've seen the confident, brave side of her and so it was easy to figure it out, same hair, eyes, height and mannerisms," he said. "Do you remember that one day that a boy, Steven Dannon, he pushed the new girl. You were steamed, you practically had steam coming out your ears. You marched up to him, all clumsiness and shyness forgotten, and you had your hands on your hips. You scolded him for what he did and then you comforted both of them, telling Steven that bullying was not the way to make new friends and you reassured the girl that she had friends and you got her to the nurse as well. I remember that day Marinette, you've always been Ladybug and Ladybug has always been you, unlike most people, you have a way to channel your inner superhero. That's how I knew you were Ladybug," Bastion finished explaining.
Marinette was stunned but she did de-transform. "Hi, I'm Tikki, it's nice to meet you, Bastion. I felt the transfer of power earlier," said Tikki.
"It's nice to meet you Tikki. I'm glad that you've been taking care of Marinette for me," he said to the Kwami.
"Wait, Tikki, you knew?"
"I'm Plagg's opposite Marinette, there has to be balance and now that the Cat Miraculous is in the right hands, the balance is restored," she said. "I didn't expect him to reveal his identity though."
"My family knows," said Bastion.
"WHAT!" and Bastion had to clap his hand over Marinette's mouth.
"I don't want to lie to them, and they've long been associated with magic, and they can all keep a secret, it's also less stressful and I don't want to lose their trust either. I think you should tell your parents, it'll take some major stress off your life," he advised.
Marinette was stunned, especially when Bastion revealed that he'd worked out who Rena, King Monkey, Pegasus and Carapace are. "It was easy but are you sure you should have them as Miraculous users?" and Marinette hung her head.
"I don't know who to give the Miraculous too," she admitted.
"I have some ideas. If you trust me to help."
"Of course, I trust you, you're my best friend and I'm really happy to know that you're my partner. Bastion, thank you," said Marinette, she was feeling lighter, as though Bastion had lifted her burdens from her shoulders. "You're right, I have to finally confess to my parents. After all, I am the Guardian, I answer to myself now," she said confidently.
"Maybe you should give them permanent Miraculous, that way they have a way to protect themselves if Shadow Moth ever finds out," suggested Bastion.
"You're right, that's a good idea," admitted Marinette.
"I know, it's my good idea, I'm full of them," said Bastion pretending to puff out his chest with a grin on his face.
"Or maybe you're just full of hot air," said Marinette with a giggle.
"Hey," he said, and they laughed, Tikki and Plagg smiling to see their users so happy.
"You need to you need to make your debut as my partner," she said, once they'd stopped laughing.
"Yeah, sure thing, but I do have a plan for Rossi, if you want to hear it," he offered.
"I'm down for that," she said.
"Ok, you're not going to like it, but it'll work overtime. I think that you should hand over class presidency to Rossi."
"WHAT! She'll ruin the whole class, events will never get done, things will never happen, are you crazy?" Marinette asked.
"A little bit," he said in response to her last question. She stared. "The class takes you for granted, so, have them make the mistake of voting for Rossi, she won't be able to keep up with everything and in the meantime, her lies will slowly be exposed when she can't deliver. Let the class, except for Chloé, Alix, Zoé, Juleka and Nath suffer for their stupidity. We can the info from Aurore as she hates Lila and so do Marc, Mireille, Jean, and Kagami. The second part of the plan is that you stop doing things for the class, so, no more free commissions and stuff," he held up his hand to stop the rant Marinette was going to go on. "Hear me out Marinette, the class uses your kindness and generosity, you give and give and never ask for anything, all you get is betrayal and nothing. You aren't even paid for your efforts. By withholding bakery treats and free commissions and not being class president anymore you'll have a lot more time on your hands and be less stressed. You can still make things for the school if asked and for certain people in the class but make it clear, if the class turns on you, you're not going to bow to them. You have to do this Marinette; you need to show them that you still have your self-respect. I'll be with you every step of the way," he said, pulling her into a hug.
"Ok, Bastion, you're right, about all of it, I'll think about it, and I'll let you know tomorrow," she said.
"I understand Marinette, I'd be worried if you just blindly did what I said," he grinned.
"Never, I do have my own mind after all," she said, playfully tapping him on the nose.
He blushed a bit and then tapped her right back, "Good, I like your mind, after all and I don't make friends with idiots. Cute and clumsy girls, yes, idiots, no," he said. Marinette blushed and her heart thumped loud and fast, she was going to have a heart attack.
"Well, that's good. I guess I should tell my parents now. No time like the present after all." She said.
"I'll go with you for support," Bastion offered, and she nodded,
"Thanks Bastion. Tikki, spots on," she said and transformed to go home and confront her parents. "Wait a minute, what happened to my outfit?" Ladybug asked, trying to figure out why her hero outfit had changed. Her suits hands were now black gloves with red spots, she had black boots with red spots, a short, flared skirt the same color as her main outfit and her hair was longer with longer red ribbons and there was a simple red scarf, outlined in black around her neck, she also had actual antenna protruding from her head and her earrings now had gold rings around the black spots.
"Maybe it's what you were meant to look like and now that I, the real holder of the Cat Miraculous is with you, it's finally happened," Bastion suggested.
"That makes more sense than anything else," she admitted.
"Plagg, Claws Out!" and Felis Nero followed her.

Ladybug and Felis Nero landed outside the bakery. Ladybug took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
"Coming. Oh, Ladybug? And…who is that? That's not Cat Noir," said Sabine, surprised at the visitors.
"Excuse me, but I'd like to speak with you, is that alright?" asked Ladybug nervously.
"Of course, come in, both of you. Tom, we have guests," Sabine called. The teens walked in and Tom came in from one of the other rooms.
"Ladybug and a new cat?" he asked, looking surprised.
"Hi, yes, I am the new cat, the real owner of the Cat Miraculous. My name is Felis Nero," said Nero with a smile.
"It's nice to meet you," said both Tom and Sabine. They were a little confused as to why Ladybug and Felis Nero were in their house.
"I have something to tell you," said Ladybug.
"Is there something that we can help you with?" asked Sabine in concern, this Ladybug was not the usual confident Ladybug.
"Should we get Marinette?" asked Tom.
"No, no need," and she looked at Nero who squeezed her shoulder in support.
"Ladybug has something she wishes to tell you and only asks for your understanding and support in the matter," he said.
"Ok," they both agreed, still very confused.
"Ladybug, do you want me to do it first, to make it easier?" he asked, she nodded. "You see, Ladybug has made a decision and wishes to reveal her identity to the two of you but It's hard for her. My family knows already and so I'll reveal my identity first, to make it easier. Plagg, Claws In," he said, revealing himself to be Bastion. Marinette's parents were shocked to say the least.
"Bastion!" they both said in shock, they hadn't seen him in person since several years ago and they'd only seen him on video calls since then.
"Yeah, hi. I was chosen to be the new bearer of the Cat Miraculous and Plagg, my Kwami," said Bastion, introducing Plagg.
"HI, I'm Plagg, the Kwami of Destruction. I power up the Cat Miraculous. It's nice to meet you," he said.
"It's nice to meet you too Plagg," Toma and Sabine said. Then they looked at Ladybug.
'Go, on," said Bastion.
"Tikki, Spots Off," she said and went back to being Marinette. Her parents eyes were wide with shock.
"Marinette," said Tom.
"You're Ladybug," stated Sabine.
"Please don't be mad. I know I've lied to you and kept secrets and put myself in danger an you in danger and dad and grandma got Akumatized…" her rant was cut off by her parents hugging her. "Huh?" she asked with tears streaming down her face.
"We're so proud of you," whispered Sabine.
"It's ok Marinette, we're here, just tell us everything," said Tom and they both reassured her that they wouldn't be mad as long as she told the truth.
So, Marinette told them the truth, from the beginning to tonight, when Bastion showed up as the new cat. "I have something else to confess," she said. "ever since Lila showed up and began to take away my friends and the bullying started and my expulsion. I've…I've…It's just been too much sometimes, and I've considered…" and Marinette burst into tears. Tikki patted her shoulder.
Tom and Sabine looked worried and looked at Bastion, he sighed. "Marinette, do you…want me to…?"
"Please, I…" she said.
"Take a deep breath and drink some water," Bastion advised. "Mr and Mrs Dupain-Cheng. Marinette has considered the unthinkable…suicide," he told them. They gasped in horror. "She confessed to me, and I've been doing my best to keep her from doing it." He put his arm around Marinette's shoulders and hugged her. "She needs help, therapy for emotional and mental damages that are from the class and Lila," he said, stroking her hair now. Marinette's parents looked angry, not at Marinette but at everything they were told that would make their beloved daughter even consider such a thing.
"Bastion, Tikki, you guys and the rest of the Kwamis and even Chloé are the only reasons I haven't done it. I also need to be Ladybug, Paris can't fall to Shadow Moth," sobbed Marinette.
"We understand Marinette," said Sabine, hugging her daughter.
"Do you want Plagg to get the rest of the Kwami's here?" Bastion asked. She nodded. Plagg flew up to Marinette's room.
"Hey guys, Marinette needs us all" he shouted, causing the Kwami's to come out.
"What's wrong Plagg?" asked Sass.
"Why are you here?" asked Kaalki.
"Later, just listen. I have a new wielder, I'm sure you sensed the transfer. But right now, Marinette's told her parents everything and she's confessed to thinking about suicide and she needs us all," he said. The Kwami's flew down into the kitchen and Marinette's parents were a little shocked to see so many of them, but they quickly accepted them. The Kwami's quickly introduced themselves to them before flying over to Marinette and giving her tiny Kwami hugs.
"Marinette, can you tell us everything Lila has done to you," asked Sabine who now had a pen and paper. She nodded and Tom sat her on his knee while she recounted everything to her parents, Bastion and the Kwami's. Their faces got darker the more Marinette spoke and she looked up at the end of her tale, not sure if she was in trouble.
"Why that little…" hissed Sabine.
"We should take this up with the principal," said Tom.
"Lila would just lie her way out of it," said Marinette.
"Leave it to me. My dad is going to be on her case like stink on a warthog," said Bastion. "I've already shown my family the recordings from today. My dad is going to do something about the teachers and the principal once he has enough evidence. The school will be better once he takes matters into his hands," said Bastion. "But we can offer you a good lawyer if you need one."
Tom and Sabine nodded, glad that Bastion was there for Marinette and their family.
"Mom, dad, I have an idea," said Marinette.
"What is it sweetie?" asked Sabine.
"Well, how would you two both like to become permanent Miraculous holders?" she asked. They looked very surprised and a bit shocked. The Kwami's also looked surprised.
"US!" they asked at the same time. She nodded.
"I know you can't leave the bakery unattended for very long, but it would give you protection if Shadow Moth ever found out. Id also only call you if you were really needed," said Marinette. She looked hopeful.
"Become a superhero and help my little girl fight against Shadow Moth? Sign me up!" said Tom with a big grin.
"I think we can come to some arrangement, but I agree with your father, we'd be happy to help you sweetie," said Sabine.
"Thanks mom, thanks dad, you guys are the best. Hold a minute, I know exactly which Miraculous to give you both," she said in excitement and ran upstairs t her room. Her heart was light and there was a weight of her shoulders now that her parents knew the truth. She grabbed two Miraculous and ran downstairs. "Mom, this is the Miraculous of the Pig which represents the concept of Jubilation. It has the superpower of Gift, those who receive the gift see their deepest desire and feel joy from it. I trust you to use it well," she said, handing her mother the pearl anklet. Sabine put it on her leftankle, and it changed to a silver color with small blue pearls. "All you need to say to transform is Daizzi, Rejoice," said Marinette. Daizzi was very happy to have to have an owner and flew next to Sabine.
"Alright, Daizzi, Rejoice!' said Sabine. She transformed. Marinette stared at her mother who was now a superhero. Her outfit was very pretty. The suit looked like it was made of real, long pig fur but it wasn't. It was majority white in colour with a magenta V-neck and a magenta sash around her waist. There was a pink rose attached to it. She was wearing pink boots that went up to her knees with magenta trim and elbow length pink gloves with magenta trim. She also had a magenta, pink and white miniskirt and a white mask that had a pink circle around her left eye with a magenta circle inside of the pink circle. Her hair was longer reaching to her shoulders and in a loose curly ponytail, tied with a white band. Her hair was still black but had pink and magenta highlights. She also had real pig ears that had white little bows behind each of them, and a real and very cute pigs tail that had a white little bow tied on it. Her tambourine was attached to her sash on the left and her Pearl Anklet was fully charged. "My name shall be Fěn Zhū," she said.
"Wow! Honey, you look wonderful," said Tom.
"Thank you dear," she said.
"You look great mom, but now, dad, it's your turn. This is the Miraculous of the Ox, which represents the concept of Determination. You have the superpower of Resistance, which allows you to be invulnerable to physical attack and superpowers," said Marinette handing her father the nose ring. Stompp flew over to his new owner.
"All you have to do is say Stompp, Make Way!" he said.
"Got it, but how will I hide this, I don't normally wear a nose ring," said Tom as he put the nose ring in, it turned brown and didn't have any spikes.
"Dad, that's easy, it already camouflages with your mustache and if anyone does notice you can always say that I asked to wear it, you're modeling it for me," said Marinette.
"Good idea, ok, time to suit up," he said, "Stompp, Make Way!" and he transformed. Bastion got the feeling that Tom was really enjoying this. Tom's suit was cool in his opinion. It looked like it was made of real ox hide but it wasn't. It was black in color, and it showed his muscles. His mustache was black. He had what looked like a black and gold Luchador's mask that covered his hair and face, but real black ox ears poked through it. He also had real horns on his head. He wore a gold ring around his neck and had golden shoes that looked like ox hooves and there were golden wristbands on his wrists. There was a gold ox head symbol in the center of his chest. The outfit also gave him black shoulder pads edged with gold, and he had a real ox's tail, and his hammer was on his back. "Call me La Toro!" he said.
Marinette, Bastion, Fěn Zhū and the Kwamis, laughed, La Toro was really loving this. "That's great dad, I mean, La Toro," said Marinette giggling. La Toro laughed as well and then he and Fěn were told the de-transformation phrases and they detransformed.
"Marinette thank you for giving us this chance and or trusting us with the truth," said her mom, pulling her into a hug.
"You're welcome mom, thanks for not being mad."
"We can't be mad at you Marinette, it was a big secret, we understand," said Tom, also joining the hug. They all talked a little more, Marinette told her parents about Alya and her behavior to her and they frowned. The teens also told them Bastion's plan for Lila, which they helped flesh out. They also helped Marinette gather everything she needed to give to Lila for Class Presidency tomorrow. At the end of it, at around eleven Marinette yawned.
"It's been a long day, time to say good night," said Sabine.
"Your mom's right, I'd better go," said Bastion.
"Night Bastion, thank you," she said
Íts not a problem Marinette, you're my best friend. I'm here for you. We'll sort everything out, don't worry. Oh, by the way, Mr Dupain, Mrs Cheng, my family knows about me being Felis Nero so if you need anyone to talk to, you're welcome to speak to them. If it's alright with Ladybug that my family knows who you are," he asked.
Marinette considered it, "Your family probably already figured out my identity like you did so I don't see a reason to hide from them. Sure thing."
"Thanks. Later Marinette. Night everyone. Plagg, Claws Out," and he also transformed and raced home with a big grin on his face. That had gone really well, now Marinette didn't need to lie to her parents anymore. He arrived home and settled down to sleep. Plagg had a big grin, as he saw that someone had thoughtfully provided a small table that had a box that had a small bed for him. There was a tiny dinning chair and a table with a plate that had a piece of camembert on it to. There was also a little couch, big enough for two Kwamis to sit on.
"This is way better than being with Adrien," he said to himself, yes, he'd still have to hide from the servants, but he had a lot more freedom in the Kaiba mansion now. He also had a tiny place for himself. This was a dream come true.

"I can't believe it Tikki, my new partner is Bastion," said Marinette, twirling around in happiness, "No more flirting, no more bad puns, no more having to do things by myself. A partner that I can rely on. My parents now know too and they're now also Miraculous users. I no longer have to lie to them. I'm so happy!" she squealed.
"I'm happy for you Marinette. It's even better, you have a real friend, and you don't have to worry about lying to him about where you're going to go when you need to be Ladybug," she said.
"That's right!" Marinette was still grinning as she went to bed.

The next day Marinette woke up very early and smiled, today was a new day. She'd thought about Bastion's plan and figured that it would work. She quickly and efficiently got everything she needed concerning class presidency all in neat files. It was easy thanks to last night's was a knock on the front door and Sabine opened it to reveal Bastion. "Good morning, Mrs Cheng, is Marinette ready?" he asked.
Sabine smiled at him and called Marinette.
"Coming mom," she said, rushing down the stairs with the files.
"Here Marinette, let me help you with that," said Bastion, taking some of the files.
"Thanks Bastion," she said. "Bye dad, bye mom. Let's go Bastion," she said.
"I'll take care of her, I promise," said Bastion with a smile to Marinette's parents and they left in his limo.
They got to school early and went to find Aurore, who was known for being an early bird. "Hi Aurore," said Marinette.
"Marinette, Bastion, it's great to see you but what are you doing here so early?" she asked, confused.
"I'm resigning from class president and I'm going to let Lila take over," said Marinette.
"WHAT!" she shrieked, "That dumb bitch liar? Why, what's the matter?" Bastion and Marinette explained their plan and Aurore got a wicked smile on her face. "Ok, now it makes sense, don't worry, I'll take care of Liar-bitch," she said.
"Awesome, thanks Aurore," Bastion said. "Come on Marinette," he said, taking her hand and she blushed, Aurore smirked at seeing that.
They made it to the classroom where only Nathanial sat, his eyes widened at seeing Marinette early for once.
"Good morning, Nath," she said.
"Morning Marinette, morning Bastion," he said.
"Morning Nathaniel," said Bastion.
"Nathaniel, I'm going to do something crazy, just go along with it, ok, trust me," Marinette said.
"Ok Marinette, I trust you," he nodded. Chloé, Juleka, Zoé and Alix eventually showed up and they passed the same message to them as well, Chloé looked skeptical, but she agreed.
"Good morning," said Lila when she arrived with Alya.
"Oh, what are you doing here? The sun is up," asked Bastion with a grin on his face. Lila went red and Alya opened her mouth, but she shut it upon seeing Marinette there, early for once.
"Miss Bustier, I have an announcement," said Marinette, standing up when their teacher walked in.
"Oh, is it important?" she asked. Bastion rolled his eyes, what kind of teacher was this woman? Everything any student said should be important.
"Yes. I feel like I'm not appreciated at all for all the work I do as class president and that I take on more than any other class president too, and so I hereby resign from my position. All the bullying I receive simply for everything and not a thank you for doing everything for everyone, it's enough, so I'm giving up the position to Lila, she is far more popular than me and she's loved by all the class. I've already spoken to Aurore who will be coming in to give her the files she needs. Good luck Lila," said Marinette turning and going to sit down.
Everyone was shocked but Alya gave Lila a big hug and congratulated her. There was a knock on the door and Miss Bustier opened it, Aurore waked in with some files. "Good morning, Miss Bustier, is Rossi here yet?" she asked.
Lila frowned at hearing her last name, "I'm here," she said with a false smile.
"Here are the files you need, Marinette told me about handing presidency over to you and while I think that it's a big mistake I understand where she's coming from," said Aurore and dumped the files down on her desk with loud thump. "Tomorrow, after school, class rep's room, don't be late," she snapped.
"What's with the attitude towards Lila?" asked Alya.
"She's a lying bully and the whole school knows it, but this class, the Akuma class, as you're known as, is the worst, bullying poor Marinette and using her without thanking her. Without her, this class would be shunned because of your bullying," said Aurore.
The class was in shock as Aurore left and they turned to look at Marinette, who just shrugged.
"Uh, Lila, do you accept class presidency?" asked Miss Bustier.
"I couldn't after that," she sobbed, crocodile tears falling down her face. Inwardly she was furious.
"Then let's have a vote, all who vote for Lila, raise your hands," said Alya, she raised her hand and so did everyone except for Bastion, Marinette, Alix, Zoé, Juleka, Nathaniel, and Chloé. Lila was furious to see that.
"Everyone who votes for Marinette?" Bastion asked, raising his hand, as did Chloé, Juleka, Zoé, Alix, and Nathaniel.
"Majority rules, Lila wins," said Alya with a grin and she hugged Lila. Adrien was conflicted, upset, and stressed and didn't vote for either girl.
"We're all doomed," said Bastion, "I'm not trusting you with anything you say, I'm going to get any information we need straight from the source," he was fiddling with a slingshot and a cork as he spoke. Lila opened her mouth only to get a cork shot into it. "Put a cork in it, no one important actually cares about what you're going to say," said Bastion with a grin.
"Bastion where did that slingshot come from?" asked Miss Bustier with a frown.
"My bag," he said.
"What was it doing in your bag?"
"I put it there," he said with an annoying smirk.
"Why?"
"Because I made it this in arts and crafts with Marinette and Chloé when we were kids and I brought it to show them that I still had it. I found a good use for it though, shutting the liar up," he said with the biggest grin on his face. "Say one word and I'll shut you up too," he said, aiming at Alya who had opened her mouth, she shut it and turned to help Lila who was trying and failing miserably to pull the cork out of her mouth with muffled grunts and moans. "Woah, back up there ladies, you can't do that stuff in front of everyone, get a room, this a school, not a house for people with a desperate prostitutes for cheap package," he said and everyone's jaw dropped, Lila turning scarlet. Bastion smirked, darted forward, and caught the Akuma heading towards Lila in a jar. "Hi, Roland, I have the Akuma, could you come and get it and deliver it to my father?" he asked, after using the speed dial on his phone, "Thank you."
"What?" asked Marinette with wide eyes.
"My dad is going to try and use this Akuma and study it to help Paris with its Akuma problem," said Bastion. "I needed some red-hot emotions so Liar-la got to be my dummy, not that she's too smart anyway so I'm good now, we can actually start learning something," he said, and sat there, he looked like a model student. Everyone was still staring when Roland walked in. "Hi Roland, here's the package," said Bastion, handing over the captured Akuma to him.
"Thank you, sir, I'll be sure to get it to Kaiba Corp safely," said Roland taking the Akuma.
"Good, thank you Roland. Hey Marinette, Chloé, Alix, Nathaniel, Zoé, Juleka, do you all want to join me for lunch at my mansion today? I'm going to invite Kagami, Aurore, Marc, Jean, and Mireille too. Of course, everyone who was there yesterday are already on the list, but I digress, do you want to come to lunch?" he asked.
"Yes!" shouted everyone with grins.
"Awesome, Roland would you please pick us up at lunch?"
"Of course Master Bastion, have a good day sir," he said.
"Thank you," Bastion replied, and Roland left after bowing to Miss Bustier and apologizing for interrupting. Miss Bustier sighed, she couldn't do anything against Bastion or what he did, his father was more powerful than Mr Agreste and Chloé's father combined. She would just have to keep an eye on this bullying situation. She started the lesson.

Just before lunch Alya accosted Marinette, asking her why she was bullying Lila. "I'm not, have you seen me say anything to her at all apart from telling her about the presidency?" Marinette asked. "In case you haven't noticed, Bastion has been by my side this whole time, protecting me from Lila," she emphasized.
Alya frowned, yes it was true and annoying.
"Oh, by the way, I'm no longer doing free babysitting, you and Nino take advantage of me, and I'm never paid for my time either. You'll have to find a new babysitter," said Marinette and turned to see Bastion and the rest of her friends waiting for her at the limo. She ran to join them, leaving an angry Alya behind as they drove off.
"So, is there anyone else we need to pick up? Marinette, you mentioned someone called Luka," said Bastion.
"Yeah, he's Juleka's twin brother and he doesn't like Lila, he's in another school but his lunch is at the same time as ours," said Marinette.
"Does he know what Lila does to you?" Bastion asked.
"No, he's…it's complicated, we dated and broke up and it's a bit awkward now, but I miss him as a friend," she said. Chloé rolled her eyes.
"Well, why don't we go and get him, and you can both talk things out and add one more friend to your list?" asked Bastion with a smile.
"I couldn't!"
"Ugh, honestly, if you don't it's only going to get worse and more awkward," said Chloé.
"She's right," nodded Kagami and some of the others nodded as well. Juleka nodded a lot, she didn't like that her brother and Marinette weren't on speaking terms.
She sighed, "Ok, you're all right. He lives at the Liberty; he goes there for lunch."
Bastion asked Roland if they could make a quick detour and soon Luka was sitting in the limo with everyone. Bastion had liked him instantly, Luka was cool, calm and an all-round genuinely nice guy who trusted Marinette and did his best to protect her. Marinette and Luka talked about what happened and patched things up, becoming good friends once more.
They all arrived at Bastion's mansion and apart from those that had been there yesterday, everyone was stunned at how big it was.
"Come on guys, you can all stare later," said Bastion, he had a grin as he, with the help of Marinette, Chloé, Zoé, Juleka, Nath, Alix and Kagami pushed them all inside. "Welcome to me casa," he said.
"Woah," said Luka.
"Marinette, Chloe, Kagami, Zoé, Juleka, Alix, Nathaniel, here, these are for you," said Bastion, handing them what looked like ID cards.
"What are these for?" asked Kagami.
"So that you can have access to my mansion and visit me any time you want unless it's past ten at night," said Bastion with a grin. Kagami looked at hers, it stated her name, age, birthday, blood type, had her photo and a fingerprint underneath all the information. There was also a KC at the top of the ID card. Everyone else's were the same. "Just place your thumb on where the fingerprint is and it with doing that, it officially recognizes you and no one will be able to use it apart from you if it gets lost or stolen," said Bastion. "Over here," he led everyone outside to the gates and showed them a special camera. "Just hold your ID's up to the camera and press your thumb to this pad here and you'll be identified and let in, you can also use your ID's to get into Kaiba Corp, you'll be taken to my office," said Bastion.
"You have your own office?" asked Alix.
"Well, yes, my dad wants me to be comfortable in places like that for when he sends me to do things for him, like meetings and negotiations and stuff," said Bastion with a shrug. They nodded and were about to go back inside with Bastion promising Luka and the others an ID by the next morning when they heard screaming.
