Back at Junior's club, a glass landed on the bar. "I don't know." Junior said.
"How is that? You're as much connected to the Black Rose as he is!" Simin asked.
"Just because we're both part of the Red Reaper's gang doesn't mean we always have an interaction. The last time he was here, he and I didn't discuss any business. He was just here to drink."
"What can you tell us about the night you and him did talk business?" Ragora asked as her familiar, which she had summoned shortly after arriving at the bar, snarled at him.
"He said the boss had a job for him, so I lent him some of my men, but they never came back. I guess he wasn't happy with them, which I can relate to!"
Simin sighed. "Vella, Ragora, let's go." He said then the three left the club. "We got all we could."
The second they were out of the club, Junior pulled out his Scroll and dialed a number.
At the White Fang rally, Ruby was on her Scroll. "You're sure? ... Okay. Thank you for the heads up, Junior." She said then the call ended, and Blake walked to her friend.
"What is it?" Blake asked.
Ruby turned an ice-cold glare to the recruits. "Your sweet little sister is in that crowd of recruits. Junior just told me her teammates were at his club just now. Since she's a deserter, it makes sense she'd be here. Spread the word and force her to make a move."
Blake nodded then looked at the crowd as Torchwick walked to them. "Heed your High Leader, my brothers and sisters! A traitor is in our midst! This traitor...is my sister! Root her out!"
"Might be time to go...!" Sun hissed.
"I'm working on it...!"
Roman started at the three students with a sneer.
"We've been made." Neo's Scroll speaker said.
Lapis spotted and fuse box and smirked. "Neo, take my hand. Sun, stay close."
"What's your plan?" Sun asked as Neo did what she was told.
"Ruby and Roman can't see in the dark." The silver eyed Faunus said as she fired at the fuse box, cutting the power.
"Roman, stop them!" Ruby said.
"Sun, the window!" Lapis said then the three soon jumped out the window as the Paladin, piloted by Roman, broke through the wall and chased the three across the rooftops of the city.
Looking through the hole, Blake sighed. "Now what?"
Ruby didn't directly answer held her Scroll to her ear. "Weiss, Roman's gonna need an escape plan."
"We need backup!" Sun said.
"On it!" Lapis said then called her and Neo's teammates. "Guys, we're in trouble! Torchwick's piloting an Atlesian Paladin and chasing us! We need reinforcements! Quickly!"
The chase took to one of the freeways that ended with Sun being flung away from the fight while Simin slammed two shields of ice Dust onto the road, spreading the Dust in a circle of ice and causing the Paladin to slide off the road entirely and landing further down.
Team CMSN and Team SLVR had their weapons ready and faced the Paladin as it stood back up.
"Simin, we need a smokescreen!" Cinder said.
"On it." The other team leader replied before creating to swords of ice Dust then they glowed red, and he spun around, creating a wave of mist then the eight spread out. While her teammates acted as decoys, Cinder moved to attack the Paladin head on and sneered at it.
"Thief's Kill!" She called out then Emerald and Mercury charged ahead, the former delivering a flurry of strikes from her sickles while the latter delivered a flurry of kicks.
"Wolf's Sight!" Simin called out then Lapis switched her sword to rifle mode while Vella had her rifle out and the two fired to give Emerald and Mercury some cover and take down missiles firing from the Paladin.
Neo appeared behind the Paladin. "Spicecream!" Cinder called out then she and Neo dashed by the legs, circling around each other until they were in the air and attacked. Thank to her Semblance, Cinder's heated up swords sliced off the left arm of the Paladin.
Ragora's familiar blasted at the Paladin, which made Roman blast at them both. Ragora hit the ground hard while her familiar disintegrated.
"Ragora!" Lapis cried out.
"Calm down, Lapis." Simin assured his friend.
"We all know how strong a fighter she is." Vella said.
"And we know she never stays down for long." Cinder said.
Ragora switched Hexentanz to glaive mode as the Paladin moved to punch her, but she caught it with the blade then blasted it to piece. Roman retaliated by using the Paladin's foot to kick her away.
"Wild Witch!" Simin called then Lapis attached a small baton to her rifle and a grappling hook shot from the baton and Ragora caught the hook then the Faunus spun her partner around, but the Paladin jumped backwards.
"We gotta slow it down!" Mercury said.
"How?" Emerald asked.
"Ice Arrows!" Cinder said then Simin made arrows out of ice Dust for her while Vella loaded a clip filled with ice Dust into Chatareus and the two fired at the Paladin, immobilizing it, given Lapis and Ragora an opening and on their final swing, Ragora fired Hexentanz and the Paladin completely blasted to pieces and Roman slowly stood up.
"Just cleaned this suit!" He grumbled then saw Ragora's familiar blast at him, but a hooded figure deflected the blast behind them.
"Ladies, gentlemen, always a pleasure. If you wouldn't mind, kid..." Roman said.
Mercury charged forward but their enemies shattered like glass, only to be shown flying away in a Bullhead.
"So, he's got a new thug." Mercury said.
Neo signed angrily.
"Whoever that mystery person was, they used MY Semblance to make their escape." Cinder translated.
"We can worry about all this tomorrow. Let's find Sun then head back to Beacon." Simin suggested and they all agreed.
In a different warehouse, Roman clenched his fists around a table. He looked at Team RWBY and Team JNPR when he heard them arriving, Team SLMO (Salmon) and Team RWBY's Crystal Grimm with them. Roman glared at Ruby and Weiss in particular.
"I had that under control!" He snapped and Nova hissed at him, but he paid her no mind.
"So, I'm gathering you're not gonna thank me for saving your ass?" Ruby asked.
"Thank you?!" Roman asked in disbelief.
"You're welcome." Ruby smirked.
Roman just rolled his eyes. "I didn't need rescuing!" He said, glaring at Steel now. "Especially by some kid!"
"You losing that billion Lien Paladin says otherwise." Weiss sneered. "That's coming out of your money, by the way."
Roman growled at her and Bones growled back at him.
"Enough!" Ruby shouted, looking at Roman with a blank expression and a serious tone in her voice. "Pack light, Torchwick. You're being transferred to Mountain Glenn with Blake and Yang's troops that are there. That way, you're less likely to cause more unwanted trouble here in the city."
Roman sneered then left while Ruby turned to her friends.
"Those brats are getting bolder by the day." She said.
"My sister will be devoting more of her time trying to track our movements. That could work to our advantage." Blake said then looked at their team of spies. "One of you challenge her to a fight sometime soon."
The four nodded then left when they were dismissed.
"Those eight kids could still ruin everything we've been planning." Weiss said.
"We'll have to keep a close eye on Beacon from now on. Yang and Weiss, I want you two to infiltrate the Vytal Festival." Ruby said.
"I'll start talking with the Council about hiring me and the Burning Suns as security." Yang said. "Since they're our more public side, it shouldn't be a problem."
"Whereas I won't have to worry about much since the SDC will be providing Dust to those fighting in the Tournament." Weiss said.
"Blake and I will wait for the right moment to make a move." Ruby said then the other three women nodded.
"Pyrrha, make sure my schedule is cleared up so I can see the crop of students competing in the Tournament." Weiss said.
"Of course, Weiss." Pyrrha smirked.
"Nora, Ren, be ready as part of the security detail." Yang said and the two nodded.
"Then it's all settled for tonight. I do believe a drink may be in order." Ruby said then the eight left with the Crystal Grimm.

This is a question I've been pondering since I started this story: Should I give a Semblance to Mercury and Simin? If y'all think I should, what should their Semblances be? Let me know in reviews if you have any ideas.
