Chapter 16: An Enemy's Deception

With the song "Last Resort" has been played, both Kazuya and Hunyo brought scores on the mercenaries with their respective fighting styles. Kazuya lands a Hell Lancer on one of them while he took the other with one Spinning Demon to Left Hook. Hunyo eventually knocks one of them with a Spear when it attempted to hurt Kazuya out and tries to disarm most of them and knocks them with his own punches and kicks. Kazuya knocks one mercenary with Double Face Kick as he runs when someone tries to shoot him with a machine rifle which he executed Glorious Demon God Fist to knock it down followed by stomping it brutally with Oni Stomp. As the song ends, Hunyo headbutts one of them and lands a powerful forward kick and knocking the last one with a multiple of punches and a straight roundhouse kick. It skips back to Acacia Estates following Jin's victory against Leroy in a sparring match as she was lying at the floor near the poolside. She remembers what Tessie said about Jin being an overpowered character in his first appearance on the third game in which she remembers the time Hunyo had been remarking horribly about Jin when he was played by players in the arcade game.

Flashback 16 years ago at SM Megamall:

"Rhima check it out... a lot of crowd are watching the game." Jun Carlo pointed the Tekken 3 arcade game while dragging Rhima to see it.

Both noticed one guy who played Jin in Tekken 3 who utilized his original fighting style which is a blend between Kazuya and Jun's moves and he overpowers his opponent who played Paul. Jin eventually performs one of his secret win animations where he folded his arms and say "Hmph!"

"That guy was nice... but why he looks like that Onion head from that second game?"

"No idea, Rhima... everyone mistook him as Kazuya from his youth."

"That guy is a copycat..."

"What!?" Both Rhima and Jun Carlo saw Hunyo was behind them since he was a Lee player in the second game and after seeing Jin due to him as a new character in the third game.

"Just look at him, he looks like Kazuya from the second game but only he had Jun's bangs." Hunyo said pointing out on Jin's appearance and primary outfit are just like Kazuya's and he calmly looked on his children while telling them. "Look kids... I'm not quite sure if whoever plays as Jin if the next Tekken games would come out, you know what happens. I'm afraid that Kazuya copycat would ended up getting betrayed by his own grandpa."

Flashback over:

"Rhima..."

Rhima was surprised as she gets up and noticing Jin was there as he takes an indian sit while looking at her.

"Are you okay? Your mind was pretty deep. It's like we stayed at the villa back in Luang Prabang."

"I remember how my father would remark so bad about you." Rhima said telling him which surprises Jin.

"Really? Did he badmouthed on me in the first place?"

"No, Jin... that was the time when my family are always go to mall for shopping and eating. My big brother and I just watch a player who played as you had overpowered one guy and then showing his arrogance by having his arm crossed. My dad didn't trash talk at you, he just remarked at you for being a copycat of the two characters moves. You know that moves you pulled off earlier in a fight on the Wing Chun master." Rhima said plainly which Jin realizes about his old fighting style he had recently discarded.

"You maybe right... I do this because I like to show this to you in person. But then again... I would never used these moves anymore."

"My dad even told me and my big brother Jun Carlo if someone who plays as you if the next Tekken games would come out, I guess that would be the reason you abandoned your original fighting style to your current one. The truth is, I've never played the third or maybe the fourth game. I just started playing the fifth game until you accidentally came out on my pink PSP in flashes of white light after I heard you expectedly spoke to me in annoyance." Rhima said admitting about she had never played two other previous games he appears in.

"I can't forget of how you released me back then. Getting freaked out over seeing me in person when I was totally confused over different surroundings." Jin said reminiscing of how he and Rhima had first met in an awkward manner.

"It was unfortunate for me to choose you as my game partner, Jin. I guess that I was very misfortunate because I keep rejecting a lot of guys who were attracted to me in my college days just to focus on my studies." Rhima said as Jin changes his sitting position as he scoots beside her and tells her.

"I'm just like you. Back before I dropped out in high school, a lot of girls including Xiao and Miharu are attracted to me and this is the reason Xiao had a huge crush on me. I didn't care so much about them and I'm more focused to avenge my mother's death once the third tournament had been started until my grandfather betrayed me at the conclusion of the tournament and wanted to put an end to the Mishima bloodline."

"..."

"I'm sorry for not telling you more about myself in person. It's just that I don't want to share this to anyone else aside from my friends in my world." Jin smiled in an apologetic matter for not telling her more about himself and continues to speak with her. "The only thing I told you is how I had this devil tattoo on my left shoulder and when you asked me about it after you got mad when I wore your brothers' clothing, to think it was a memento for him."

"I understand, Jin... I can't forget these memories we had each other. It was nice..." Rhima smiled at him which the latter smiled her back. Suddenly, Broadie and Lidia came to see them.

"Rhima... I'm glad you're still there... Mr. Bravante had contacted me."

"What did he say?" Rhima stands up when Broadie mentions about Harry's father.

"Mr. Bravante had decided to assist you to stop the Black Devil organization and he coordinates with the PNP to find Veron. I wanted to serve justice for Raquel."

"Rhima, you have to prepare yourself. I'm sure the enemy might changed their plans. Not just about you or your father being targeted from them." Lidia said in Polish language telling Rhima to get ready as Jin immediately stands up knowing it was dangerous for her to go off alone.

"Tomorrow, we're going back to that Chinatown place. I always look after her if she gets into trouble or in danger."

Back at the top of the building in Sathorn Garden, one of the mercenaries had struggled to stand up, only to be gun point by Kazuya who took a pistol on one of the unconscious mercenaries they had beaten. Hunyo was horrified since he was very afraid of stray bullets if someone would shoot heavy firearms.

"All right... did this scarred bald man had sent all of you to kill him? Is it true?"

"...yes."

Kazuya eventually knocks the mercenary down and stood up to see Hunyo after they brought scores against the mercenaries sent by Domon.

"Why are you so afraid, Hunyo? You're like a chicken who got butchered in the factory."

"It's none of your business... I hate if stray bullets would strike on me if any firearms would try to shoot someone else." Hunyo reacted angrily as Kazuya looked at the handgun he carries.

"Considering it was unfairly if I used firearms against them and I preferred beating them out by fighting with my own two fists."

"Same..." Hunyo said knowing that both martial artists never used firearms or any various weaponry and Kazuya remarks over his recent actions.

"I'm just like how I brutally took out these Tekken Forces alone following my resurrection when my father Heihachi was still alive at the time to sent them to get rid of me, again."

Kazuya then gives Hunyo the handgun he had carried and soon tells him.

"Keep that gun, Hunyo. Despite you were so scared of getting hit from scatter shots. These firearms are used to defend yourself from getting killed from anyone who also wields it and I'm gonna settle the score with you one day."

Kazuya then leaves and transforms into Devil Kazuya and flies away as Hunyo watches.

He looked at the pistol and knowing that his old friend in his prime can still shoot guns whether they worked in the police and the military as he thought.

I never used guns in my entire life. All my life is to train and win championships in karate. I think right now... I must go back to the Philippines to find my wife and daughter. I can sense them.

At late night while at bed, Rhima misses her father so much since tomorrow she has to visit her mother again at Brian's noodle house in Binondo. Jin was still awake since he couldn't asleep after a hard bout with Leroy by trying to recall his old moves from his discarded fighting style and Rhima looked at him nicely.

"At least we tried to sleep so early."

"Rhima, I had reasons why I used my discarded fighting style when I tried connecting to my Omen stance. I wanted to show you how strong I was in the third game. So that you'll know more about me not just in person but on an actual fight." Jin said as he calmly looked at her. "I'll keep an eye on you tomorrow."

Rhima finally understand Jin's reasons of using his discarded fighting style because he wanted to show her how stronger he was in the third game and soon falls asleep.

The following day, Rhima continued her disguise as Jun Arasaka and was met again by two gay men from Divisoria, Jugs and Kulas who were attracted to see her. Jin looked on as he wears the same hoodie main outfit but the color scheme is white, black and gold as he thought this in disgust.

Not these two idiots again.

Suddenly he noticed a woman passing by wearing elegant clothing and soon became suspicious over her presence.

"Sorry you two... I'm really busy right now. I came here to visit someone."

Rhima eventually leaves them and both men would even think if both tried to date with him, leading to their comical argument and rivalry in winning over him.

Meng and Daya are present to help Brian in his noodle business while Marissa is guiding them both and was met with the elegant woman and it was the same woman that Jin had saw.

"Howdy... it was my first time to visit this noodle place."

"This is not a expensive restaurant, lady. The menus are on the table. You can see it."

"Ang sungit (He's strict)." The elegant lady is none other than Veron who disguises herself as a rich woman who is fearless of not getting stolen by street thugs all over Santa Cruz.

Just as Rhima goes to see her mother at Brian's noodle house, she meets up with Jin as both made sign languages about the presence of the disguise Veron. When Marissa arrives with her groceries and to see their presence.

"Oh a customer is here..."

Veron evilly smirks to see her only to get ambushed by both Meng and Daya. Marissa drops her groceries to see them.

"Mrs. Panganiban... you better get out of here right now!"

Marissa was surprised to see this ordeal as she is about to run and was cornered by the mercenaries. Rhima then goes to help her mother to safety, Jin follows her behind. Rhima brought scores over the mercenaries. Veron not knowing of her disguise she presses the button which she kept it on her purse and presses it. Rhima noticed a trap which causes an explosion to knock her down. She tried to stand up and to see Jin was trying to fight the mercenaries and Marissa was trying to wake her up.

"Rhima..."

Rhima noticed they are confronted by Veron which Marissa protects her daughter from getting hit from her tranquilizer which upsets her. Brian tries to help Rhima to save Marissa, Veron threw them with a flash grenade to escape with her. As most of her men immediately went with her. Jin removes his hood from his white and black leather hoodie in frustration and goes to see both Rhima and Brian.

"Mom... she..." Rhima said as she cried remorsefully while removing her hood and Brian was angered after realizing their customer was actually their enemy.

"I never thought she would deceived us like this."

At the plane trip back to the Philippines, Hunyo was accompanied by Rolento, Sally, Kunimitsu II, Armor King II,, Julia, Zen and Roderick on returning back to the Philippines. Hunyo decided to protect his family again and to battle his scarred rival once again.

Trivia:

*In Hunyo's prime, it is revealed that most arcade players are playing as Jin in Tekken 3, showing how popular he was in the game.

*Both Kazuya and Hunyo battle Domon's Black Devil mercenaries is the same as how Gabriel Yulaw battles against dangerous prison inmates at the end of the 2001 movie The One.

*The way Kazuya gunpoints on one of the mercenaries was from the arcade and console opening in Tekken 4.

*Jin wears his alternate appearance from his main outfit in Tekken 7.
