DevilHunter: Well done.

Raidentensho: No, it's not a Court of Owls thing. As for Devil Arms... I may start to work on that after one of the Justice League episodes.

The saiyan boy: Thanks.

Disclaimer: I do not own Devil May Cry or Justice League. I only own the OC Drake Redgrave.

"Diana? What are you doing here?"

Of all the things Drake could've expected to see when returning home after speaking with Detective Decker in trying to put a connection to the mayor's death and the missing homeless people... finding Diana standing outside his apartment was not one of the things he'd expect to find, far from it actually.

The Amazon stood there, dressed in a tight short-sleeved black hirt which drew attention to her F-cup breasts. She also wore a pair of light blue jeans that looked like they had been painted on her legs. Oh, and she also had a duffel bag with her.

"Hello Drake." Diana gave him a friendly smile before she then gained a sheepish expression. "...May I stay at yours?"

Drake blinked, okay that was another thing he'd never expect to be asked until he has a girlfriend which he doubts will ever happen considering his life. "W-What? Why? Don't you have an apartment in New York?"

"Yes, but..." Diana looked embarrassed now as she played with the strap of the duffel bag she carried with her. "...I may have knocked the landlord out?"

"...Inside." Drake unlocked his door and opened it for her to enter. He followed her in, shutting then locking the door before guiding Diana to the living room and gesturing for her to sit. Once she did so, he sat in the couch across from her. "Okay... explain."

Diana sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "My apartment's landlord tried flirting with me, and when I rejected his advances... he tried to force himself on me."

"What?" Drake asked with a low growl, his eyes narrowing.

"Don't worry, he didn't get very far." Diana said with a chuckle. She did feel... kinda bad, but mostly satisfied she put that fool in his place by giving him one good punch. She was sure several teeth went flying. "I... I didn't want to stay there anymore after that, and you did once ell me that if I experience any problems, your door was always-"

"Of course!" Drake said with a smile. "You can stay here as long as you want."

Diana smiled at him, grateful she had such a good friend... so why was her heart beating a little more faster at seeing him smile at her? She felt greatly overjoyed at him allowing her to stay at his place for however long she wants. "Thank you, Drake. I'm sorry to bring such trouble to you."

"Diana." Drake reached over and grabbed her hand, making her shiver a little as she gripped his hand back, unable to help but trace a circle on his hand with her thumb. "I'm your friend, and you know I'll help you out like friends do. My door's always open as I said after we met."

Diana nodded before looking at her duffel bag. "I... don't exactly have much clothing with me aside from what I'm wearing and my hero attire."

"Don't worry, we'll get that sorted." Drake assured her. "I'll take you out to the mall later today since it's very early morning, place won't be opened yet. You can go take a shower and freshen yourself up. I'll lend you some spare clothes of mine until we buy some for you."

Diana smiled at him as she stood. "Thank you." She then bent down, causing her breasts to do movement, and she kissed his cheek, causing him to blush and stutter to her amusement before she walked in the direction of the bathroom... her heart beating a lot more faster as her cheeks heated up.

'Why did I do that?' Diana thought, holding a hand to her chest as she entered the bathroom and shut the door, locking it before leaning against it. She didn't know what drove her to give Drake a kiss on the cheek, it was just a friendly little kiss... so why was she acting like this? Was she... attracted to Drake?

Diana shook such thoughts from her head and stripped herself of her clothing until she stood naked in the bathroom. She turned the shower on and stepped in, sighing in blissful content when the warm water began running down her body and she began to wash herself.

Outside the bathroom, Drake set a pile of spare clothing on the chair next to the bathroom door for Diana. Since he only had clothing for guys, he simply took a tanktop and a pair of shorts for Diana, hoping it'll do until he takes her shopping later today.

Now that he was done with that, Drake walked over to his desk and took off his coat, followed by his masks and put them down before he turned the TV on to see the news, in which Commissioner Pete was addressing the press.

"Tonight, a son lost a father. A wife lost a husband and I lost a friend. Mayor Mitchell was a fighter for this city and I will not rest until his killer is found. This is a truly senseless crime..."

Drake shook his head and grabbed his laptop, opening it before he began to type in searching for links to the disappearances of the homeless of Redgrave going missing. He found a few and clicked on one.

REDGRAVE HOMELESS GONE MISSING: POLICE HAVE NO LEADS!

Several of Redgrave's homeless have gone missing, with no clue or evidence as to where they could have gone. With no clues, the police are stopping the investigation-

Drake stopped reading at that, seeing Detective Decker was right. Nobody 'cared' about a bunch of homeless that live in the alleys and sewers of the city. They were unimportant, nobodies, no wonder the police stooped the investigation... and it angered Drake that innocent people had been disappearing and the police are doing nothing just because it's homeless people and they have no leads.

"What are you doing?" Drake jumped, startled by Diana's voice speaking suddenly behind him.

"Ehh, I'm just..." Drake said, turning only to trail off with a yelp as he stared at Diana... who was clad in nothing but a towel around her buxom body. That towel looked like it was just about tof all off at even the slightest movement, and it drew attention to Diana's breasts. Drake gulped as his teenage hormones started to act up as he had a brief thought of wondering what she looks like without the towel before h he got rid of that thought. "I-I s-see you enjoyed the shower."

"Yes, I did." Diana said with a smile before she saw what he was looking at on his laptop and tilted her head, leaning forward and putting a hand on the desk, which caused her towel to hike up her legs. Since the towel fell barely at her thighs, this caused her rear end to be exposed and Drake almost felt like fainting. Geez, can't this woman see what she was doing to him by standing there in just a towel?

"Um... Diana... not to be rude, but... could you get some clothes on?" Drake asked with a heavy blush, looking away from her.

"Hmm?" Diana looked at him before realizing she was still clad in a towel and most likely making him uncomfortable. Huh, so Drake wasn't like most teenagers his age. She's walked down streets countless times in the past month since coming to Man's world, and she's seen teenagers the same age as Drake stope to gape at her and catcall, flirting with her.

But not Drake it seems.

"Oh sorry!" Diana sheepishly said as she walked over to the pile of clothing Drake set out for her, grabbing them and going back into the bathroom to change. Drake let out a shuddering breath once he saw the door shut and leaned back in his chair.

"...I literally have no words." He muttered to himself, trying to calm his rapidly beating heart and his raging hormones at seeing a beautiful woman like Diana in only a towel... which of course caused a certain par of Drake's anatomy, naturally of course since he was a teenage boy and a beautiful woman with a goddess-like body had just been standing next to him in only a towel.

If he didn't get a hard on from that, then there's either something wrong with him.

This was going to be a bunch of awkward times now that he had a roommate a roommate he had a crush on at that.

The sewers of Redgrave City weren't exactly the best place to be in. They stunk worse than Gotham's sewers, and Killer Croc lived in those sewers. But Redgrave... some say that there are things down in the sewers.

But Terry Noonan has worked the sewers the best part of twenty years and he's seen stuff people would not believe. Walls of fat so thick they'd swallow someone up, rats as big as dogs, enough teeth and hair to give someone nightmares. Outside the sewers, you have a normal world, but in the sewers of Redgrave? It was an entirely different world.

Terry hummed a little tune to himself, which was Elvis Presley's 'Frankford Special', as he did some maintenance.

He stopped when he heard something... something faint. Frowning, terry grabbed his flashlight and turned it on, aiming it down the darkened halls of the sewers. He heard nothing but the sound of sewage water. He shrugged and went back to continuing his job... then he heard it again.

"What the hell?" Terry frowned before he walked down in the direction he could hear whatever it was he could hear. However, as he got closer, the sound became louder, clearer, it sounded like... chanting.

"Thus Saith the Lord... Thus Saith the Lord... Thus Saith the Lord..."

"Don't tell me kids have gotten down here again." Terry sighed in irritation to himself. this would be the 5th time he's caught a bunch of kids down here, trying to scare people with harmless pranks. But the sewers were not safe for kids.

As Terry got close to a door where the chanting was coming from, he stopped when the chanting stopped and a single voice was heard, a man's.

"For the Lord hath designed a most cruel and dark place, yes, he has. It's where we put the heathen, the guilty men and women. In His Pavilion of Pain, where lakes of fire burn and hot coals fall as hail stones from a black sky!"

"Amen... amen..." Several voices said in agreement.

"You see, Redgrave's days are numbered." The lead voice continued as Terry slowly pushed the door open and saw a big group of people gathered together, standing before an alter where some old man stood... preaching.

"Holy shit." Terry muttered to himself with wide eyes. He recognized most of the people as Redgrave's homeless who had been disappearing this past month.

"I've seen it." The preacher continued. "He's done shown it to me. He's shown me the fire. He's shown me the bodies writhing in flames. 'Cause that's what's waiting for you, you who don't accept me into your hearts. I am the messenger of truth, for the Lord hath anointed me with his sacred oil. He hath separated me above all others and promised me and my children their rightful place in the new kingdom. That's right, you will be made princes of all the earth, and we shall smite the false protector of Redgrave, thus Saith the Lord... Amen."

"Amen!" The cultists repeated.

"I gotta get out of here!" Terry whispered before he stumbled and ran, he had to tell the police about this. He was unaware he made a loud noise that caught the preacher's attention and he narrowed his eyes at the slightly open door.

"My, this is an impressive place." Diana said, walking beside Ragna, as the two made their way into the entrance of the mall. It was quite a large building, it seemed to reach two stories with little little shops left and right all across the building. "the one in New York seems just about the same size."

"Some are, some are very small in small towns." Drake nodded. "I can only wonder what the ones in Metropolis and Gotham City look like."

Drake and Diana wore simple casual attire. Diana was once again wearing the tight light blue jeans and the short-sleeved black top. but she had a black leather jacket added to the attire now after Drake gave her it. It was an old jacket he used to wear a couple of months back. Ad for Drake, he was simply wearing a faded black, 3/4-length, hooded leather coat with red interior linings and the British Union flag sewn on the left arm, a gray tank top, black fingerless gloves, black faded jeans and black military boots.

"So what store are we looking for to get me clothes?" Diana asked curiously as she glanced around.

"Either a Primark or a Victoria's Secret." Drake replied, looking around himself, trying to find either clothing store. "Both shops should have what you need, though I never go into Victoria's Secret."

"How so?" Diana asked curiously.

"It's a woman's shop, and if a guy goes in... they'd call me a pervert." Drake said, remembering when he saw one guy get tossed out because he apparently tried peeping on a woman changing into underwear.

Diana frowned at his reply but gave a small nod.

"Drake? Diana?" The mentioned duo's eyes widened at hearing the familiar male voice and they turned to see a very tall man, wearing a blue business suit, glasses, and a top hat in hand. He was holding a bag of clothing and other essentials in his left hand.

Drake frowned before he sniffed the air and caught the man's scent, recognising it immediately.

"Superm-?"

"Clark. Clark Kent, pleased to meet you." Clark said, tucking his hat into the bag, and holding his hand out to Drake. Drake gave a sheepish smile as he shook the man's hand.

"Yeah, same here." The son of Sparda said.

"Diana, it's good to see you again. What brings you all the way to Redgrave?" Clark addressed the Amazon princess.

"I'm staying with Drake now." Diana said, hands on her hips. "My landlord in New York and I... had a big disagreement and Drake offered to let me stay at his place. We're here shopping for clothes for myself."

"So, what brings one of the Daily Planet's top reports to Redgrave?" Drake asked with a joking grin as Clark chuckled.

"My wife, my cousin and I are here shopping." Clark said.

"Clark!" Drake and Diana looked over to see a woman in her mid thirties, raven hair reaching her neck, a purple button up shirt, and a white skirt.

"There you are, Kara won't be long, so-Oh" The woman stopped, seeing her husband talking to a young white haired teen and a beautiful raven haired woman.

"Hi." Drake said, waving his hand before his eyes widened. "Wait a minute... you're Lois Lane, or Kent in this case. One of the few people who is willing to risk her life just to get a dang interview, a woman who was one of the first people to get an interview with the Man of Steel."

Lois chuckled, seeing the smaller boy's awed look, it was kind of cute. "Didn't know I had such a big fan. Drake huh? I had no idea I would be meeting with..." She lowered her voice to a whisper so they could hear. "Redgrave City's resident vigilante."

Drake's eyes widened and he looked at Clark. "Yeah, I told her a lot about you. She knows about me as well, so..." Clark gave a wink.

"Don't worry, kid, I won't blab." Lois smiled at the teenager. "To be honest, I have been trying to get an interview with Redgrave City's vigilante, Sparda. But I at least get to meet him in person."

Lois took the chance to study Drake. For someone so young he was quite strange and built, not overly like her husband but he was quite lean, and she has never seen someone with white hair. It was like something you would see in those japanese shows. Drake blushed, unsure if it was a compliment or some form of observation, looking over at Clark he saw the older man smile. It seemed this was just normal for the woman, he never met her in person but this was quite an introduction.

Lois then looked at Diana and smiled. "And you must be Wonder Woman, right?" Lois struck her hand out and Diana shook it. "Pleasure to meet you. About time us girls get a hero to represent us."

Drake cocked an eyebrow. "Don't let Hawkgirl hear that."

Lois snorted in amusement as Diana shook. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Mrs. Kent."

"So, what brings you two to the mall?" Lois asked curiously.

"Shopping." Drake and Diana said together, causing them to glance at each other.

The half-demon continued on. "Diana's staying with me after her New York apartment landlord got too handsy for comfort and she made her displeasure known. She then came to my place, and I offered her my place to stay until she finds somewhere new or something."

"Really?" Lois asked with a raised eyebrow, crossing her arms and giving Drake a pointed look. Drake gulped, all of a sudden... it feels like he's being given a stern look by his mother when she caught him doing something he shouldn't. "Should I be worried of a beautiful woman staying with a teenage boy?"

"No!" Drake coughed, blushing as Clark chuckled. "i-I'm just being a good friend! It's nothing like that!"

Lois was still giving him a stern look before her expression softened and she chuckled. "I'm just messing with you."

Clark smirked. "Don't worry, she does that." He reassured Drake.

Lois looked at Diana. "Come on, I'll get you some good clothes. we'll need to go into Victoria's Secret, so no boys allowed."

Drake gave gave a salute as he and Clark watched the two ladies leave before Drake looked at Clark. "Your wife is scary."

Clark chuckled again. "She even scares me sometimes."

Drake gave Clark a look, more specifically the glasses. "Okay... how does that work?"

"How does what work?" Clark raised an eyebrow.

"The glasses." Drake gestured to said object. "I mean, how does that hide... you know what. Seriously, it's glasses. All someone has to do is try and imagine you without them and then in the suit, and boom... connection. I mean seriously, how-"

"O-Oh, so sorry!" Clark cried, grabbing Drake by his collar before he collided with a couple and their kids. "W-We weren't paying attention, so s-sorry." Clark stuttered.

Drake raised an eyebrow, hearing Superman stutter and his voice breaking a bit. He also noticed that Superman's posture was different, he was more slouched, and that's when he put two and two together. Once the couple left, Clark and Drake kept walking, Drake looking up to seeing Clark smirking and adjusting his glasses.

"It's a lot more than just glasses, Drake. I'm thirsty, coffee?" Clark asked, walking over to a coffee booth. "Also, that answer your question?"

"...Strawberry Sundae... and yes, it does."

Chloe Decker sighed as she walked to one of the interrogation rooms in the precinct. A man working in the sewers had arrived this morning, babbiling on about hearing some chanting in the sewers followed by some preacher. So Decker was going to go question the man on what he saw.

She entered the interrogation room and saw the man, Terry Noonan, sitting at the table. She sat across from him.

"Mr. Noonan." Chloe greeted him. "i understand you came into the precinct this morning with important information regarding to the homeless that have been going missing this past month."

"Yeah." Terry nodded, rubbing his hands nervously. "I've worked the sewers the best part of twenty years and I've seen stuff you would not believe. Walls of fat so thick they'd swallow you up, rats as big as dogs, enough teeth and hair to give you nightmares. Outside the sewers, you have a normal world, but in the sewers of Redgrave? It was an entirely different world."

"Hmm." Chloe hummed. "What about this 'chanting' and 'voices' you claimed to have heard?"

"Well, I thought it was kids at first, so I went to investigate." Terry said. "And what I found... wasn't kids. It was a group, cultists. They were chanting, like Church. And then there was that preacher guy, looked like a real nutjob. Said he was God's messenger' and that he and the others would 'smite the false protector of Redgrave'. I don't know what to make of it, but I do know... that most of that group were the missing homeless. And believe me, the way I heard it... it wasn't them doing it for fun, they are planning something big against this city, all of it in God's name apparently."

"I see." Chloe said, writing this information down in her notes. "Well, Mr. Noonan, thank you for coming to us with this information. Hopefully this can help as reopen the case of the disappearing homeless and we can put a stop to this."

Terry nodded and soon left. However, once he was out the precinct and a few feet away, passing an alley, he was grabbed and dragged into the alleyway as his screams were muffled.

"So, why are you and your wife here?" Drake asked Clark curiously as they sat at a table, with drinks in front of them. "I doubt it's just to shop or else you'd be in Metropolis for that."

Clark chuckled. "You are very perceptive. Well, Lois and I are here because we heard about the mayor's death this morning, so our Editor sent us here to get a report about it. My cousin ended up tagging along because she was bored."

"Cousin?" Drake frowned before his eyes widened. "As in Supergirl?"

"Yep." Clark nodded before he gave the teenager a teasing grin. "You know, she's got quite the crush on you."

"She... she has?" Drake asked, surprised and shocked that the Girl of Steel had a crush on him."

"Well, a crush on Sparda I should say." Clark corrected since Kara didn't know who Sparda was underneath the mask. "It's hilarious to see."

"Well I'm flattered." Drake chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "Never knew I had a fangirl."

Clark snorted. "Kara says a lot of girls have crushes on Sparda, trust me... you got a lot of attention."

Drake groaned, running a hand down his face. "Well... better than being criticised about being the Batman ripoff."

"Why do people call you that?" Clark asked curiously yet with a frown on his face.

"Because I operate at night and strikes from the shadows sometimes." Drake said with a roll of his eyes. "But I never come to care for how people care about me. Long as I keep helping and being a hero, it's easy to put up with the comments. I can't please everyone."

Clark nodded. "I know what you mean. Some people out there don't like Superman for some reasons. But we don't let it get us down and we keep doing what we do best."

"Damn right." Drake nodded as he picked up his Strawberry Sundae and went to drink it when Clark spoke.

"So... you and Diana?"

Drake coughed in surprised and put his desert down, looking at Clark in disbelief. "What?"

Clark chuckled. "I see the way you look at her. I heard your heartbeat the moment you laid eyes on her." Drake blushed and looked down, groaning into his hands. "It's okay. You're a young guy, and Diana's a beautiful woman... plus there's what she wears as Wonder Woman." Clark didn't mean anything about how she dressed, but Drake was a young hot blooded teen. He didn't think Drake would take advantage, mostly because Diana can handle herself, but Drake didn't seem like that type of character. Drake sighed in defeat, setting his drink down.

"I'll admit... I've grown a crush on her in the past month we've known each other." Drake admitted with a sigh. "Maybe it's crush... I don't know. My heart beasts faster every time I look at her. When she smiles... it makes me smile and happy. I want to help her fit into this world since there are some who'd take advantage of her for... less than pure intentions."

"Sounds less like a crush and more like you're falling for her." Clark noted.

"I... perhaps." Drake said with a sigh. "I've not exactly had luck in the romance department, hell I've never had a girlfriend because I didn't want to bring them into my life, where I'm hunted my demons who'd go after anyone I care about to get to me."

"But Diana?" Clark pressed.

"Diana would be able to handle herself and I wouldn't have to worry as I would if she were a normal woman." Drake said before he let out another sigh.

Clark was silent for several moments before he asked. "What made you begin this life, Drake? Becoming a hero, I mean. You could've stayed in school had an ordinary life."

Drake snorted. "Batman asked similar questions. So I'll tell you what I told him. My life has never been easy, because of what I am. Believe me, I did use to go to school and I enjoyed it... but it's hard to focus on that when Demons are popping in to try and kill you, and in doing so they harm innocents that have nothing to do with it. I dropped out of school to protect them. I don't care what happens to me or how crap my life gets as long as I can protect the innocent, just like my father protected humanity when he turned against his own kind."

"Kal!" Before Clark could respond, both turned their heads, and Drake's cheeks burned hot red at the sight of the beautiful girl. She was about two years older than him, standing at 5'5, a bit shorter than him, with long golden blonde hair that fell slightly past her shoulders. Beautiful blue eyes, ones that were currently narrowed at her cousin. She wore a blue leather jacket, a light blue shirt that hugged her double C Cup bosom, light ripped pants and reddish brown boots. What really caught his attention were her jeans hugging her thick juicy thighs. They were so tight he had no doubt she could crush watermelons with ease. Clark stood up, followed by Drake who stared at the girl in awe, as she walked up to the two.

"Kal, Lois and I are helping that friend of yours from the League." The girl said, once she was within earshot and no one was listening. "She was…..whose this?" The girl asked, pointing at Drake.

Clark saw Drake was staring at his cousin in awe, his jaw dropped, which made the Man of Steel smirk before he patted him on the shoulder. "Kara, this is Drake Redgrave. Drake, this is my cousin, Kara Kent."

"Hi..." Drake said, unable to believe he was seeing Supergirl herself.

"Hi." Kara said with a raised eyebrow as she looked him up and down but shook his hand. Drake noted the strength in her hand, knowing she could possibly break his hand. Kara gave Clark a look, her brows furrowed in confusion. Clark smirked and mouthed 'Sparda' while pointing to Drake, causing Kara's eyes to widen.

'No way...' Kara thought as she gave Drake another once over. He certainty seemed fit, and rather good looking for a guy his age. But was he really Sparda? The hero she so damn well had a crush on?

The trio made their way to stand outside the Victoria's Secret shop, Drake and Kara chatting with each other about anything and not discussing anything hero-related since they were in public. Kara was a ice girl to speak with in Drake's opinion. Soon, Lois and Diana exited the shop and Drake's eyes widened when he saw Diana. The Amazon princess wore a red-ish sleeved shirt with a white undershirt that hugged her bosom, blue skirt, long white socks, and red shoes. She was beautiful, drop dead gorgeous.

Kara saw his expression and frowned a little. Maybe it was because she had a crush on the guy, well his alter-ego, but she kinda wished that look was directed at her.

"Well, Drake? What do you think?" Diana asked as she did a little twirl to show her new clothes off.

"You look beautiful, Diana." Drake said, making her beam happily. She also noted how genuine he was when calling her 'beautiful.' Others have called her that, like the Flash and other men, but she knew Flash did it mostly for flirting and other men... well, they had less than pure intentions when calling her that. When Drake said it, with genuine feelings, it made her heart flutter and she gained a small blush.

"Thank you, Drake." She said softly with a smile.

"Oh my God!" They heard a nearby woman shout and the heroes looked over in alarm before they saw a group gathering at a few TV monitors on display at a TV show. Usually the TVs on display were just showing music videos or something, but now they had been switched to the news and what the heroes saw on it made them tense.

The footage was being filmed by someone on a helicopter, which was pointed down to the outside of the local Redgrave cathedral. Police and SWAT had swarmed the scene but were not getting close. The reason? There was a man, his mouth taped, but with a bomb strapped to him.

The camera zoomed in to see there was a message on his chest with only two words that made Drake's eyes narrow.

To Sparda

"I'll handle this." Drake said, giving Diana the spare key to his apartment. He then ran off to go back to his apartment and change quickly.

"Be careful..." Diana whispered before turning her gaze back to the TV with the others. Though Clark and Kara could do something, they didn't want to take chances in setting the bomb off with their sudden appearance.

They had to let Drake handle this...

And that's it for this chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it everyone. Sorry it took a while to come out. This chapter was to advance the plot of the arc, as well as Drake and Diana's relationship. They are now living together, as friends obviously, but how long until the sexual tension between snaps?
