Chapter 19: Final Showdown of the Two Rivals

Hunyo looked up to see Domon who is about to slash him with his long scimitar and their duel to the death continues. Domon succeeds into slashing him with his scimitar but to his shocked, he had slashed the bulletproof vest and his turtleneck. From behind, Hunyo ambushes him by disarming his sword and lands a powerful sucker punch to the face, knocking him down.

"I regretted myself for brutally kicking your ass and breaking my own code of killing anyone with my own two fists. It's pathetic if you're gonna kill me by making a sword in a fistfight." Hunyo said berating Domon for fighting him with weapons.

"It reminds me of what you've done. I almost beat you but you prompted to beat me through hell!" Domon stated remembering of how Hunyo beats him brutally into a pulp and soon charges with his own fighting style and their brawl is finally on.

Hunyo and Domon exchanging their blows move from move and it flashbacks to where both are fighting in the finals 14 years ago. It was revealed that Hunyo was one of the victims of entering an illegal fighting tournament set up by the corrupted Thai police and military and he believes it was a karateka championship. Domon tries to knock an oblivious Hunyo into the ground, which devastates both his wife and children.

Flashback:

"Get up, Hunyo!" Marissa shouted over her husband who is down as Jun Carlo calls him.

"Dad..."

Hunyo realizes that his wife was telling the truth and he had been double crossed from entering this illegal fighting tournament at Bangkok, believing as a karate championship and soon gets up to see Domon an MMA fighter who is ready to fight him. He looked to see the corrupted authorities are watching them fighting each other to death and was angered for getting double crossed of entering this tournament as he seriously faced Domon, blinded with silent rage. Both men fought equally only for Hunyo to break his defenses by heavily knees him to the gut and brutally punching him to the face, knocking him out of the arena. Domon was knocked unconscious and his face was bleeding badly, resulting to have a huge scar on his face. Hunyo was exhausted after defeating him until the real Thai police and military arrived along with the Interpol led by Roderick to arrest the corrupted ones and his family was rescued. Hunyo kneels down in guilt as he looked at his right fist, it was stained by Domon's blood knowing he had broke his own code.

Flashback over:

Domon goes for a heavy knee as Hunyo dodges as he grabs his neck and smashes his face into the wall. Domon was enraged and tries to fight him head on. He grabs his scimitar and attempts to stab him which Hunyo avoids. He chases after him with sword in hand. Kazuya however watches their fight and noticed that Domon can't win against Hunyo as he thought.

Much like how my father Heihachi had thrown me into the cliff when I was five years old and how I gained the large scar on my chest when I finally faced him in the first tournament at 26. For Hunyo's case, he scarred him by brutally punching him to the face. Hmmm, that bastard can't win.

Meanwhile, Jin and Rhima helped Marissa to get out of the base and was found by Benzon as Katarina fending off the remaining mercenaries with her Savate fighting style and his friends decided to take her to safety.

"So you're going to find your father now, Rhima."

"Yes..."

"Your mother will be safe, don't worry and I acknowledge you." Benzon said finally acknowledge Rhima as a fighter and vigilante like her father.

"I can sense Mr. Panganiban's presence... he must be fighting that man right now. But I also felt Kazuya's presence. He's here..." Jin said sensing his father's presence.

"My dad means business... he has to overcome his guilt over beating him brutally at the past tournament. I think he doesn't like to become like you did." Rhima said realizing her father's actions and Jin was surprised because her father doesn't want to kill anyone and was prompted himself to do it and he remembers as how he was betrayed by his grandfather Heihachi at the end of the third tournament. Then, he lives and hiding at Brisbane, Austraila to master his current fighting style Kyokushin Karate for two years and comes out of hiding to participate at the fourth tournament to put an end to the Mishima bloodline, showing his mistrust to his grandfather for betraying him as well as displaying his hatred to his father Kazuya who is now resurrected and alive.

"Rhima... let's find him. I'm sure Kazuya was there to kill him too. I don't want you and your family getting involved into our pointless family fight."

Rhima nods knowing the danger will happen to her father and both then proceeds to find Hunyo. Benzon and Marissa looked on to see them go and he escorted her back to safety.

In the chase, Hunyo completely dodges the slash attacks from Domon's scimitar as he blocks the blade with both of his hands and goes for one spinning kick and a forward kick to knock him in a distance. Hunyo looked to see a large chain as he grabs it as Domon attempts to attack with his scimitar which Hunyo blocks with a chain and the fight continued until Hunyo ensnares his left arm with a chain and he punches him to the gut twice and an uppercut to the chin and lands a powerful forward kick to knock him away. Hunyo then takes the large chains out of his hand and confronts him one final time.

"You became improved... I didn't expect you are still fighting for the good cause even after I wanted to have my revenge on you."

"Vengeance is not going to work, Domon. I will not ended up like Kazuya did to his own father to avenge his mother's death. There was a meaning to it. My fight with you back then was very meaningless and I was too soft into thinking it was a karate championship but I realized I was completely duped to enter it. I didn't intend to kill you with my own two fists because of those corrupted authorities had wanted to see us killing each other. I was remained guilty throughout the years after that incident and I tried to hide it from my friends and family. You're also the victim like me who wanted us to fight to the death." Hunyo said and becoming sentimental after defeating his rival.

"Domon, because of your crimes for trying to kill me and my family with your vengeance. You had to suffer the consequences for your actions. It is no longer the same from 14 years ago." Hunyo said berating Domon for his recent actions to his family and decided to leave. With his back turn, Domon wanted to have his revenge on him, attempting to stab him with his scimitar. Hunyo had sensed his actions as he made a jumping side kick to the face, as his scimtar had dropped on his hand. As he knocks him with a powerful punch to the gut, knocking him through the balcony walls and Hunyo was provoked after seeing his rival's attempt to kill him. Kazuya arrives and became impressed over his actions.

"You fought well, Hunyo. I was hoping if I fought Jin with dual moon axes like you did to that bastard."

"I don't want to meet the same fate as what you did to your father in that hellish showdown. I know this feud with your own bloodline still holds." Hunyo said as he faces him with anger in his eyes and he coldly tells him. "Maybe your father Heihachi was telling the truth about the Devil Gene bloodline from your beloved mother Kazumi. As far as I know that your mother's ancestors had wanted him to be eliminated because they knew he was a deem threat to the world."

As both Jin and Rhima continues to find Hunyo, Roderick sees them until he was blocked by the same brute getting defeated by Jin to free Marissa from being held captive. Just he wanted to fight him, Fahkumram appears and demonstrating his Rage Art by brutally kill the brute by kneeing him to the nape.

"Oh God... you...?" Roderick said scarily over Fahkumram's fighting style and his intimidation appearance as he faces him as he tells him in Thai language.

"You follow Lima... go."

Roderick nods as he continued to follow both of them. Fahkumram then sees the remaining mercenaries left to pursue them as he bulks up in a red glow as his eyes became murderous as he goes to fight them, thinking they are rogue authorities who captured his family. While running, Roderick calls for a back up to apprehend Domon due to his dangerous nature as a fighter and a criminal.

Despite Kazuya getting furious over Hunyo's words and knowing he was right that he inherits his mother's blood and why he is able to control his Devil Gene and his transformation into a devil in the first place and now Jin inherits from him as well who wanted to get rid of him to end of their bloodline.

"Tch... you're no different from Jin after all. It is ashamed that my beloved mother would wanted to kill me as well. I thought it was a mere joke about this when I laugh about Akuma's motives of killing me and Heihachi. But I realized that Akuma would even wanted to kill me for my mother's wishes and she knew I would become like Heihachi, as a deem threat."

"Now that you finally got into your thick skull of yours." Hunyo said as he pointed his index finger to his head which raises Kazuya's brow even more.

"I will settle the score with you one day, Hunyo."

"I really want to get a revenge match on you but it always interrupted because of these people's mess. It seems that it was fate that I had to fight my own son who wanted to end of this Devil Gene bloodline. I knew his words are pathetic." Kazuya said commenting about his fate of battling Jin just to end of their bloodline as he tells him continuously. "I'm sure that you're the only person who can put us back to our world. Nothing less for me to make your world into a whole chaos like mine."

Hunyo then watches Kazuya jumps into the temple and transforms into Devil Kazuya. He briefly stares at Hunyo and soon flies away quickly. With that, he was met up by both Jin and Rhima and he sensed that his father just left immediately before they arrived as Roderick and the other members of the infantry unit of the AFP finally apprehends Domon for his heinous crimes.

"Mr. Panganiban... are you okay? I knew Kazuya was there to kill you." Jin said worried for Hunyo when facing his father which he answered.

"No, he didn't kill me... he and I just had a pep talk about something. And it looks to me that he already knows his true origins of his mother and the Hachijo clan."

"He really did came here." Jin said coldly about Kazuya's presence as he looked in the sky knowing of their personal confrontation.

"How's Marissa, Rhima...? Is she okay?"

"Yes, she was fine... she was waiting for us down there." Rhima answered politely which makes Hunyo angrily raising his brow.

"...I'm going down there to see her, I can't let Lee to do make any flirt gestures on her."

"I've never see Hunyo became hot-tempered. He's not like that to his friends and colleagues." Roderick said surprisingly to see Hunyo got mad which Jin tells him.

"We're adults... and for us strong guys, we give ire to any guy who make advances to our women and my adopted uncle Lee is the primary example of it."

As both Jin and Rhima leave to follow Hunyo, Roderick was shocked after hearing of this as he mumbles.

"No wonder why everyone mistook of me as a married guy. But I'm a single guy..."

Trivia:

*After his bulletproof vest and his mock turtleneck was cut in half by Domon when he dodges the attack, Hunyo's outfit resembles Roman Reigns' current main outfit in WWE where he easily defeated Braun Strowmann and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt in SummerSlam 2020 where he won the Universal Championship for the second time. Although Roman is often seen shirtless with this outfit when he was the current reigning Universal Champion until he unifies with the WWE Champion by defeating Brock Lesnar.

*The black shirt Hunyo wears has an ABS-CBN logo at the left side referencing the broadcasting stoppage in 2020 as the printed design "Para sa Mga Agila" at the back of his shirt also references Ricardo "Cardo" Dalisay and his police military group named Task Force Agila in the longest running teleserye, FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.

*The weapon fight between Hunyo and Domon is based on Rom fighting against Singh at the climax of the 2010 movie, The Red Eagle.

*The large chain that Hunyo wields is how Alex Murray wields to battle the Thin Man at the climax fight scene of the 2000 movie, Charlie's Angels.

*When Hunyo lands a powerful punch to Domon's gut is how Kazumi knocks Heihachi by punching him to the gut in the Tekken 7 Story Mode.

*This is the only time Fahkumram demonstrates his Rage Art in the game.

*Roderick remembers he was mistaken as a married guy due to his overweight appearance referencing as how Shindong was mistaken as a married man by various media in South Korea.
