Everything went black. And all of sudden Adora felt good. She had though she felt fine before. Sleepy, yeah. Numb, and maybe a bit slow. But that was to be expected from dying from hypothermia. But now, all of a sudden, she felt amazing. The best she had ever felt. Even becoming She-Ra didn't feel anything like this. She opened her eyes, and frowned. She was sitting in a chair, in the middle of a spotlight, with Catra sitting in a chair beside her. There was an empty throne sitting across from them, with an angelic figure sitting primly on a stool beside the chair, reading a file.
"So what's going on?" Catra asked, looking over to Adora who just shrugged. She looked at the angelic figure who looked up from the file.
"I'm sorry, I was just caught up reading about your world. Etheria has been hidden from Heaven for a thousand years, and that portal allowed us to find it. We are going to have so much work to do, processing all the souls of everyone who has died," the angel shook her head. "But I digress. First up is the judgment of the two of you. Adora, Catra, you died of hypothermia after being sucked between worlds by a misfiring portal device. Your lives were brutal, short, and eventful. It would take all day to explain where you made mistakes and what you did well. However that is unnecessary. Both of your are very easy to judge."
"Judge? What do you mean?" Adora asked, her stomach tightening from stress.
"We judge where your soul should end up now that you've died. Adora, you lived a life as a pawn for an evil tyrant obsessed with power. But when you discovered the truth you immediately turned on them and devoted your life to protecting others. As such I can easily judge you to be worthy. You have several options; first, you may ascend to Heaven, where you will enjoy a peaceful existence experiencing the simple joys from interacting with your fellow blessed souls and experiencing all that you were denied in the Horde. You may choose to be reincarnated into a new world, where I guarantee you will live a blessed life full of opportunity and love, but you will not remember your life on Etheria. Or," the angel hesitated, and sighed. "Or you can do us a favor. Another world is in danger from the Demon King and humanity could face extinction if a champion does not defeat him and his Generals."
"Oh that is bullshit!" Catra shouted, shooting to her feet. "Don't you dare try and force Adora into another war! She's done enough, and now you're what? Oh good job, here's another job to get yourself killed doing?"
"Catra that's-"
"No, I agree with you," the angel said, holding up a hand to cut off Adora. "Adora, you've already sacrificed your life to save your world. Please, do not feel obligated to do so again. You aren't the first champion we've sent, and you likely won't be the last. Furthermore there are risks involved. It is a very dangerous world, and while we will grant you a blessing to understand the inhabitants of that world, there is a chance that your memories will be wiped in the process. So please, feel free to accept the rewards you earned."
"Will I still be She-Ra?" Adora asked, flinching when Catra growled at her.
"No. But we will not send you into the world unarmed. You may take one item or blessing with you into the world. And we could make something that imitated the abilities of She-Ra if you desired it," the angel said.
"I...can I talk to Catra about it?" Adora asked, biting her lip.
"Of course," the angel said, smiling gently.
"No," Catra said, when Adora turned to her. "You are either going to Heaven or taking the reincarnation thingy. You aren't throwing yourself into another war just because they are in trouble."
"But they-" Adora shut up when Catra glared at her. She pouted in response. "Well what if I don't like the other options?" Adora asked, sullenly.
"What? Why not? What's wrong with relaxing in paradise or having a good life?" Catra asked, incredulously.
"Heaven sounds...well it sounds kinda boring. I don't like relaxing. I tried that in Mystacor and yeah, the baths were nice. But staying still and not doing anything was driving me crazy," Adora said, glancing guiltily at the angel.
"That's understandable," the angel said, smiling softly. "Many younger souls find it hard to choose Heaven when there was still so much they wanted to achieve. That's why we offer reincarnation in the first place."
"So there you go, pick being reincarnated," Catra said.
"But losing all my memories? I don't want to forget the Horde, Etheria, or...well you," Adora said, blushing faintly.
"I mean I wish I could forget the Horde and the war. As for me, well I'll go with you, we can build a new life together free from all the stuff we did in the Horde," Catra said, giving Adora a small smile.
"That won't be possible," the angel quickly announced.
"What? Why not?" the girls asked, spinning to look at the angel.
"Because for your sins against your fellow people you, Catra, have been damned to an eternity in Hell," the angel said, spreading her wings and rising to her feet.
"Don't give me that crap," Catra snarled, springing forward, only to be caught as chains of light emerged from the floor, ensnaring her arms and legs. Adora looked frantically between the angel and the catgirl, her mind racing. "This isn't fair, we were finally going to be happy!" she shouted as the floor beneath her began to glow a fiery red.
"It is entirely fair," the angel said, sternly. "You knew the Horde was evil, but served them anyways. You were offered multiple chances to leave them, but denied them all. You waged a war that killed hundreds, often at your direct command. You almost conquered the world, dooming it to who knows how many years of rule under a brutal tyrant. You killed Tounge Lashor in cold blood. You lied to Scorpia, Entrapta, and even Hordak. You abused your ex-squadmates and minions to satisfy your lust for power. You betrayed Entrapta when she disagreed with you. And finally you almost destroyed the entire world and did get your best friend and the women you loved killed."
"But-but she didn't mean to do that!" Adora shouted, desperately as Catra struggled futilely against the chains binding her.
"She was warned opening the portal would be disastrous, both by you and by Entrapta," the angel said, pausing and looking over at Adora. "Even if you've forgiven her, she still hasn't been redeemed."
"She could though! If she had the chance! I know Catra can be a good person if she just tries!" Adora argued.
"Perhaps," the angel acknowledged. "She lived a harsh life, and you could argue that she was just behaving in the manner she was raised. However, even taking that into account she still went too far. And redemption is something you need to seek in life. It is far too late for Catra to change her ways now."
"Because you won't give me another chance," Catra spat, the chains pulling her closer to the ground, forcing her to kneel.
"That's it! She can do the thing!" Adora shouted triumphantly, getting odd looks from the angel and Catra.
"The thing?" the angel asked, politely.
"With the other world, and the Demon King. She can be your champion!" Adora said, smiling.
"That's against the rules," the angel said. "That offer is only available to blessed people, for we don't want to make things worse by sending someone who might side with the Demon King."
"Screw you, I'd be the best damned champion you've ever seen," Catra yelled.
"You'd be the first damned champion I've seen," the angel said, smiling at her own joke, before growing stern again.
"Yeah, but-um, I would, except," Adora began, stumbling over her own words.
"Take your time," the angel said, patiently. Adora closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"I'll be your champion!" She said. The angel's eyes widened and grew sad. "And you said I get to bring one thing with me right? Well I choose Catra! We'll take down the Demon King, and live out our lives, and you'll see that Catra is a good person who deserves to get into Heaven!"
"You don't have to do this. You've earned paradise, you don't need to give it up for her," the angel said, even as Catra's chains disappeared and the glowing floor returned to normal.
"It wouldn't be paradise without Catra," Adora said, smiling as she offered her hand to Catra. Catra smiled back, and took Adora's hand, standing back up. Turning they both faced the angel who looked at them both before smiling brilliantly.
"Very well. Hero, no heroes, may you be victorious and may you be the ones to defeat the Demon King! I bid you farewell!" the angel said, joyously.
The floor beneath them glowed blue before the pair, still holding hands, rose up into the air, being swallowed by a pillar of light.
Author's Notes: This is a story I made that completely undercuts another story I wrote. Don't worry, you don't need to read that one. But it was a tragic story about Catra and Adora dying. This is going to be a Romantic Comedy with lots of Adventure, in true Konosuba fashion. Because after watching She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, I came to the realization that it was the perfect material to crossover with Konosuba. The characters are light hearted and silly. They aren't OP powerhouses that would just invalidate Kazuma's party altogether, and they aren't so weak that the story would just play out exactly the same either.
But the biggest reason I'm writing this is because no one else will. This is a pretty obscure match up for all that it is basically the Reese's Pieces of crossovers. This isn't a WormxMHA or a NanohaxFate. Or a Harry PotterXPretty much everything under the sun. This is a relatively new anime x a relatively unknown cartoon. But this story HAS to exist. And it looks like it's up to me. So buckle in cause I'm taking this all the way to the Demon King.
