Aniya got off at the stop. It was odd that the train had some issues, but she needed to re-fill her canteen. The train stop was near the ocean, so she grabbed her stuff and headed over. She crouched down and froze. The water had a slight green tint to it. Aniya, unsure if it was radiation or another issue, grabbed a stick and poked the water. She brought the stick out. Nothing was wrong with it, so she placed her canteen near the coastline and let the small waves fill it up. There was an unusually large wave that brought what looked like an unconscious Octoling to the beach. A smaller one brought a dark grey hat to the beach as well.
"What the-?" Aniya stepped back to get a better look. The Octoling had a pale, light green skin tone with dark green hair that had a strange pattern of light green squiggles in it. He was wearing a grey coat with dark grey pants and black boots. The ends of his sleeves had blue on it, along with a blue stripe going down the farthest side of his pants. She picked up the hat and looked at it. It was dark grey on top and had a black brim with blue at the very end of it. It had a strange-but-familiar symbol on the center of it.
Aniya placed the hat onto the floor and grabbed the stick again. She inched closer to the unconscious Octoling. She poked him pretty hard with the stick and quickly backed away. She looked at the stick. There was a small amount of dark green ink on it.
"So, you just re-spawned, huh?" Aniya walked over to him and shook him. "Out of bed, you daisy head."
He slowly opened his eyes. His eye mask and eyes were black and his pupils were a gold color, with a lighter tint at the iris. He had a blue-at-the bottom-chartreuse yellow-at-the-top tentacle connected to the back of his head but was still visible from the front. His hair was parted much like the Octolings from the Octo Valley and Octo Canyon, except it was a bit longer in the back.
"Heeeeey, Octoling…person." Aniya said. "What brings you-"The train blew its horn, signaling that repairs were done and she needed to get back now otherwise she'll miss it. She put him back onto the floor. "Aaaaanyways, I've got to head back to my ride or else I'm going to regret it."
Aniya started walking away. She turned around and saw that the Octoling was following her. "Um…what are you doing?"
"Where are you going?" The Octoling asked. "You won't just leave me here, right? I have no idea where I am."
Aniya sighed. "You can come with me if you like. I'll explain things when we get on the train."
Author note: Okay, I might've accidentally lied. I can write chapters 1 and 2, just not any farther. You might've also noticed I changed the rating from K+ to T. That's because Apocalypse shows up in this book near the end and I need to put some blood in there otherwise it didn't fit Apocalypse. Sorry if the rating change made you a little upset, I'll try not to do it last-minute from now on, okay Squiddos?
