2nd year – Too Academy
...
Taiga was walking with the rest of the team out of the gym after having had a late practise (one of many). He wondered if Mac had gotten home yet and if maybe she would want to play basketball with him later. It had been a while since the two of them had gotten the chance to play. He didn't really want to admit it, but he missed her. They had both been busy lately, but he missed the times they played.
He wondered if he should text her and ask… would she think he was nagging her? Or maybe she was busy, and he was making her do more than she wanted? He sighed. He knew she got little time to relax, with magic and basketball and Daiki. He sometimes wondered how she even managed to get everything done. So, he didn't want to ask more of her…
Taiga was startled out of his thoughts when he practically walked straight into Tetsuya who had stopped walking (hence making Taiga collide with him).
"Oi!" Taiga exclaimed stepping back. "Don't just stop walking!"
Tetsuya didn't answer but the others stopped and turned to see what was going on and Taiga frowned as he moved so he was beside Tetsuya and saw his wide eyes and he was staring straight ahead.
Following his line of sight Taiga saw a boy with chestnut coloured hair who was standing by the gate to the school. He had his hands pushed into his pocket and was staring straight back at Tetsuya making Taiga narrow his eyes and take a step forward, so he was almost shielding Tetsuya.
Taiga threw a worried look at Tetsuya who still hadn't moved. It was like he was frozen where he stood just staring. It was clear that the others also were worried and confused as they stepped closer and without a word got ready to protect their shadow if needed.
Kiyoshi was the only one looking more pensive than protective as he kept looking from Tetsuya to the boy who was now coming closer (and hadn't Taiga seen him before?).
"Kuroko?" Riko asked sounding worried. "You okay?"
"What's going on?" Koganei wondered.
The boy paused when he came up to them and didn't try to get closer to Tetsuya but hadn't looked away from him either.
"Hey," he said.
Taiga frowned before his eyes widened in recognition.
"Oh! You're the boy from yesterday!" he exclaimed.
The boy, Taiga couldn't remember his name, glanced at him before he looked back at Tetsuya.
"Eh? You know him Kagami?" Riko asked.
"You met?" Kiyoshi asked at the same time.
"Mm, well…" Taiga frowned and glanced at Tetsuya who was still staring at the boy, but he didn't seem upset or maybe he did, but he didn't seem afraid. Just sad. Hopeful? Disbelieving? Taiga couldn't quite read the expression on his face. Though that he showed emotion like this was unusual as well and had Taiga feel the need to protect his friend. From what he wasn't sure of…
"Not exactly," Taiga said when Hyuga coughed. "He was with Mac yesterday. I forgot."
The boy looked at him again and waved, "nice to see you again, Kagami-san."
"Mac? You know Mac?" Izuki asked.
"You saw Mac?" Tetsuya asked speaking for the first time and the boy looked back at him again and smiled.
"Yeah," he nodded rubbing the back of his head with one hand looking a little sheepish. "I ran into her last week and was rude. I had to apologize, and my friend brought me to watch her match against Shutoku."
"Who are you?" Hyuga frowned.
"Ah, I'm rude again," the boy said scratching his cheek and Taiga noticed that he had some crumbs stuck near his mouth. "I'm Ogiwara Shigehiro. Kuroko's friend."
...
Tetsuya wasn't sure what was going on. He had just frozen when he spotted Ogiwara standing by the gate and remembered the last time he'd seen him. How he had ruined everything… how he made his friend hate the sport they both loved.
He was aware of the others but couldn't find his voice to answer even as Ogiwara came up to them and greeted him. Like they still were friends. Like he hadn't ruined everything.
He was startled out of his shock when Mac was mentioned.
"You watched them play?" Tetsuya asked now making Ogiwara look back at him and gave a small smile, but Tetsuya couldn't help but think it looked a little pained.
"Mm," Ogiwara nodded and pushed his hands into his pockets again and tipped back on his heel as he looked at him. "It was…different. They were different."
Tetsuya nodded, "they are."
"Mm, Potter said," Ogiwara said before he frowned and looked at Tetsuya. "I was hoping that we could talk. If you're not busy, or anything. Potter said you probably would finish practice around now, and I thought that if I waited here, I would see you… but maybe I should have told her to arrange a meeting or ask if you wanted to see me. She offered to do so, but I said I wanted to go myself. I can't have her do everything for me, after all. I owe you more than that and I'm sure she is busy. Did you know she is scary good? Of course, you do. But I didn't think she could get any better than last…well, she did and Aomine was even smiling when he played. I didn't believe it at first…and…"
Tetsuya blinked when Ogiwara rambled on and how he had missed this. The way he would ramble when he was excited or nervous… the others looked a little lost in the flood of words falling from Ogiwara but Tetsuya smiled a little.
"I thought you were angry at me," Tetsuya said quietly.
Ogiwara blinked and frowned, "Potter said you believed that. I'm not angry at you. You didn't even play, Kuroko."
Tetsuya noticed the others looking confused though Kiyoshi was watching Ogiwara with a pensive look.
"I still…I asked Akashi not to hold back," Tetsuya admitted knowing that he had to admit to it. He was at fault…
"Why don't you go and talk?" Kiyoshi interrupted making Tetsuya and Ogiwara look at him a little startled. Both of them had forgotten that the rest of Seirin was still there... Kiyoshi was smiling gently, "you both need it, I think."
"Kiyoshi," Riko said but Kiyoshi just smiled and waved her off.
"We'll see you tomorrow, Kuroko," Kiyoshi said. "Call if you need anything before then, okay?"
Tetsuya nodded and watched how the others (still looking confused and worried) followed Kiyoshi's lead. Taiga was the only one who kept standing there watching him with concern clearly written in his eyes.
"You okay?" Taiga asked.
"I'm fine, Kagami," Tetsuya said.
"You sure? Do you want me to wait for you? I can, you know," Taiga said glancing at Ogiwara suspiciously.
"No, it's fine," Tetsuya smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow, Kagami. Tell Mac I'll call her later if you see her, okay?"
"Fine," Kagami said a little reluctantly before frowning at Ogiwara who just smiled. "Don't hurt him."
"Protective, eh?" Ogiwara asked. "Don't worry. I just want to talk."
"Hmph," Taiga said and walked away.
...
"Protective friends," Ogiwara commented when it was just the two of them.
Tetsuya shrugged but didn't disagree.
"Let's go and find a spot where we can talk," Ogiwara said, and Tetsuya followed him.
He couldn't keep from looking over at him. He hadn't changed much since the last time he'd seen him. He was a little taller and seemed to have more muscles than before, but the mannerism was much the same.
They ended up at the street court close by and Tetsuya couldn't help but remember those days where they would play together. Back when he had first started to learn how to play and Ogiwara had been there helping him.
"Makes you remember when we were kids who just loved playing basketball, doesn't it?" Ogiwara asked seemingly thinking the same thing.
"Yes," Tetsuya said.
Silence stretched between them, and Tetsuya tried to think about things to say, but he wasn't sure where to start.
"It wasn't your fault," Ogiwara finally said.
"It was," Tetsuya said. "If I hadn't…"
"You think they wouldn't have done it if you hadn't asked?" Ogiwara asked.
Tetsuya frowned, "I…no. I don't know."
"I guess we can't know," Ogiwara said, "but I wouldn't like it if they did hold back because we are friends. I would want them to give it their best, but… I just…didn't think the difference was that much."
Tetsuya saw the pained look on his friend's face and felt a familiar stab of guilt go through him. He wished he had worded his request to Seijuro differently. He wished he hadn't been so reckless in the semi-final and gotten hurt he would have been there… he would have been able to see what they were doing.
But would he have changed anything if he had been there? Would he have been able to stop them?
"But it still isn't your fault," Ogiwara said. "I didn't know you blamed yourself this much. I'm sorry I didn't talk to you after… I just couldn't face you knowing that I gave up. That I lost and couldn't even look at a basketball again."
He wasn't looking at Tetsuya as he talked but at the basketball hoop.
"Potter said you quit," Ogiwara continued after a small break.
"I did," Tetsuya said quietly.
Ogiwara sighed as he sat down right at the pavement of the court.
"What a mess…" Ogiwara said.
Tetsuya sat down beside him but wasn't sure what to say. How often had he thought about what he wanted to say if he saw Ogiwara again?
"I am sorry," Tetsuya finally said.
"I know," Ogiwara said. "I am to."
Tetsuya smiled a little and Ogiwara grinned breaking the awkwardness that had lingered between them.
"Look at us," Ogiwara said. "We never used to have problems talking with each other before. So, we shouldn't have any problems now either. Do you want to go get something to eat?"
"Sure," Tetsuya agreed.
...
Imayoshi entered the gym and saw that the practice had already started. He took a moment to just observe the practice. He saw Mac dribbling the ball while two players (he didn't know who they were, so he guessed they were the new first years) trying to steal the ball from her.
Daiki was playing one-on-one against Wakamatsu (not surprising) and it looked like Wakamatsu were losing (again).
Otherwise they seemed to be divided around the court doing different things. Though, Imayoshi knew that there was probably some reason for this and that Mac had a plan with how they were divided.
"Imayoshi," Harasawa greeted and Imayoshi turned slightly so he looked at his old coach.
"Coach," he said.
They both turned to observe the practice and Imayoshi couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia as he did. He was glad he was finished with High School, but he couldn't help but miss this team. It had been fun and challenging. Especially the last year. (Not that he would admit that to anyone.)
"She still has a tight reign over the team," Imayoshi commented.
"She's stepped up," Harasawa nodded. "It has been a few challenges, but I never doubted that she could handle it."
Imayoshi nodded.
"Oi! What do you think you're doing?!" Mac suddenly called and Imayoshi watched as she stopped her playing and marched over to the group with Abe and Inoue. "I asked you to play one-on-one and not stand there watching a magazine!"
"But…" Abe started but stopped when he saw the glare Mac gave him.
"The Inter-High is right around the corner and if we are going to have a chance of winning, we can't slack off," Mac snapped.
Imayoshi arched a brow as he watched them cower a little and felt amused and impressed. He glanced over at Harasawa who stood there quietly observing them but allowing Mac to handle it.
"You saw how it went when we played Shutoku," Mac said. "Just because we won the Winter Cup doesn't mean that we can allow ourselves to slack off!"
"Sorry, Mac," Abe and Inoue said.
Everyone had stopped what they were doing now and turned toward Mac.
"We are strong," Mac said, "but if we don't give it our all then everyone will have a chance at beating us. We need to work harder than everyone, and that means we all have to push ourselves harder. What happened against Shutoku can't happen again. We got passive and allowed them to take over. We can't go around inviting everyone into the games like that. Not if we want to take the Inter-High."
Imayoshi arched a brow slightly impressed almost despite himself.
...
"I'm impressed," Imayoshi said stepping up to Mac when the practice was over and smirked a little when she jumped and turned to look at him.
"Captain Imayoshi," she said surprised.
"I'm not your captain anymore, Mac," he said.
"Maybe not," she said.
"Good job today," he said. "You scared them."
She gave him a look, "you would enjoy that."
"Of course," he smirked.
"Imayoshi," Daiki said coming up to them and he glanced over to see the others had paused and was watching them. Abe and the others he knew waved at him while the new players looked curiously at him.
"Aomine," Imayoshi greeted. "Still bickering with Wakamatsu, I see."
Daiki rolled his eyes, "what are you doing here?"
"Who knows?" Imayoshi said just to be annoying and enjoyed seeing the tick over Daiki's right eye. He was so easy to rile up.
"Daiki," Mac said and Daiki huffed and turned away from Imayoshi.
"Fine," Daiki said. "I'll see you when I've changed."
Mac nodded and Imayoshi watched them curiously. The others left the gym having been dismissed for the day leaving Mac and Imayoshi alone.
"You like doing that, don't you," Mac sighed.
"I don't know what you mean," Imayoshi smiled innocently.
She snorted and walked over to the scene edge and jumped up so she was seated on it.
"So, what are you doing here, Imayoshi?" she asked. "Curious?"
"I was in the neighbourhood," he said and had to hide a smile at the look she gave him.
"Sure," she said a little sarcastically.
"You know, I didn't think you could scare them more than you already do," Imayoshi commented.
"I just don't want us to become too confident," Mac said. "If we believe we are better than we are then we will lose. We can't afford to take it easy on anyone, and we almost lost against Shutoku. Don't get me wrong, Shutoku is a strong team. They are good and have Shintaro and Takao, who both are a threat. They have a lot of new players this year, but they're still strong."
Imayoshi listened amused as she talked and wasn't that surprised over what she said. He would point out that they had her and Daiki but knew she wouldn't agree. She continued to talk about the match, and he asked a question or two (just because he could).
"I forgot how much of a nerd you are when it comes to basketball," Imayoshi finally commented.
She huffed annoyed and gave him a look, "and I forgot that you think you are funny."
He laughed amused before he said, "you wound me."
"Sure I do," was all she said.
He wouldn't admit it, but he had missed this girl. She made things interesting and he had found himself genuinely caring for her. No, he wasn't in love with her. It wasn't that type of caring, but he was fond of her.
"I'm not sure I like this new you," he said making her roll her eyes and shake her head.
"So, want to play?" Mac asked jumping off the stage and turned to look at him. "If you're not scared, of course?"
Imayoshi let out a startled laugh and jumped off knowing he couldn't refuse when she challenged him like that. And she knew that too. (He pretended that he didn't notice how she manipulated him into playing).
...
Imayoshi felt the familiar thrill playing against her. He couldn't help but respond and probably play harder than he should. She got past him and dribbled the ball as he tried to steal it from behind, but she got away.
"You've gotten faster," Imayoshi commented as he tried to catch his breath again.
"Or maybe it's you who have gotten slower?" she teased.
Imayoshi narrowed his eyes at her and lunged forward barely managing to steal the ball from her but she wasn't surprised for long and was right behind him and he let out a silent curse when she managed to get a finger on the ball so he almost lost control.
He managed to keep control of the ball and shot it through the hoop.
They both stopped playing then and tried to catch their breath. Mac had just finished a hard practice and shouldn't push herself much more.
"You know," Imayoshi said when he caught his breath again, "not many would tease me like that."
Mac laughed and he hid his smile as he watched her.
"Ah, right, they think you're scary," Mac said.
"I am scary," Imayoshi said.
"You are?" Mac asked innocently.
Imayoshi sighed, "I don't know where I went wrong with you…"
He enjoyed the bickering again.
"So, why are you really here, Imayoshi?" She asked more serious now.
...
"Fine, you got me," Imayoshi said. "I came on purpose."
"I know," she said and he sighed.
"How are you, Mac?" he asked.
Mac looked mildly surprised, but she masked it quickly.
"I'm fine," she said. "There's a lot going on, but I'm fine."
He nodded, "that's good. How do you like being Captain?"
"Mm," Mac nodded. "I like it, it's challenging at times but I think it's fun."
"Happy with the team?" Imayoshi asked. "They seem to be working hard. Yoshinori and I talked about it the other day. We both are looking forward to seeing you play in the Inter-High."
"Well, we already talked a bit about it, didn't we?" Mac asked looking at him but shrugged. "We're getting there. It was challenging at first with the new players, but it's worked itself out."
"Oh? Problem with the new players?" Imayoshi asked curiously.
"A few of them," Mac admitted.
"It can be challenging to make the team a team again after some members have left," Imayoshi said.
"You made it look easy," Mac said looking over at him and smiled a little. "You never seemed to have any problems."
He laughed, "well, I am a genius."
She rolled her eyes and he grinned.
"Sure," she said.
"Easy isn't the word I'd use, though," Imayoshi said. "You and Aomine were needed for the team to win. You made us stronger, and that made it worth it. Besides, you control Aomine well enough."
"I don't control Daiki," Mac denied.
"Not like that, but he would listen to you," Imayoshi said.
"Maybe," Mac agreed.
"I trusted that we all wanted the same thing and would grow as we played," Imayoshi said.
Mac frowned a little and he knew she was thinking about what he said.
"I see," she said. "I guess that makes sense."
"You'll do well," Imayoshi said. "You're a natural when it comes to basketball and they'll learn to listen to you."
...
"So, how are you?" Mac asked.
"I'm fine," Imayoshi said.
"I heard you're not part of your school's basketball team," Mac commented.
"I decided to just join a street team," Imayoshi said. "It's more challenging."
"That sounds like you," Mac said. "Is it fun?"
"Yes," Imayoshi said. "It's interesting."
"Good," Mac said. "And school?"
"Easy," he shrugged.
"Ah, I forgot," Mac said. "You're a genius."
"How can you forget something like that?" he teased and she laughed.
He wondered what it was with this girl. She would make him forget. She would make him act differently. Out of character, but still not. It was difficult to explain.
"Sorry," she said.
"Kenzie?" Daiki called and Mac looked to the door and saw Daiki standing there. "Are you coming today or not?"
"Ah," Mac said. "Sorry."
Imayoshi got up and held out a hand to help Mac back on her feet.
"I'll see you later, Mac," Imayoshi said.
"Let me know when you're going to play next," Mac said. "I would like to come and watch."
Imayoshi nodded and with a smirk to Daiki left.
...
"You're home today," Taiga said when he saw Mac sitting at the kitchen table having just finished eating.
"Yeah," Mac said looking at him. "You're late getting home."
"Stopped by Maji's on the way back," Taiga said. "Didn't think you'd be home."
Mac nodded, "I see. Tetsu okay?"
"I think so," Taiga said making Mac look at him and arch a brow. "Um, Ogiwara? I think that was his name, came after practice today. Kuroko stayed back to talk to him."
Taiga saw the comprehension on Mac's face and also the worry. He didn't understand completely what was going on, or just who this Ogiwara was. He didn't like the look Tetsuya got when he saw him. And the way they had talked…
"Ah, so he went to see Tetsu," Mac said. "That's good."
"Is it? He looked sad," Taiga said.
He didn't understand the guilty look on Mac's face and watched as she got up and cleared the table.
"Hopefully they'll get a chance to talk," Mac said.
"Just who is he?" Taiga asked.
"Tetsu's friend," Mac answered unhelpfully.
"I know that," Taiga said a little impatiently. "But Kuroko wouldn't get that sad if he was just a friend. And the way he talked… he asked Akashi to do something?"
Mac looked at him for a moment and Taiga wondered what she was thinking.
"We wronged Tetsu when we were at Teiko," Mac finally said. "It hurt Ogiwara and Tetsu both. And Ogiwara stopped playing."
Taiga didn't say anything as she left the kitchen and frowned as he thought about what she said. He sighed. He wasn't sure what was going on, but he hoped they figured it out. And he missed his opportunity to ask for a match. Again. Maybe another day…
...
"Hey Tetsu," Mac answered her phone.
"Hey Mac," Tetsuya said. "Are you home?"
"Yeah," Mac said.
"Um…could you meet me now?" Tetsuya asked.
"Sure," Mac agreed. "Where are you?"
"Outside," Tetsuya said.
"Oh, I'll come down," Mac said and hung up. "Taiga, I'm stepping outside for a moment."
"Okay," Taiga said looking a little confused but waved at her as she stepped into her shoes and opened the door.
She jogged down the stairs until she was at the entrance and spotted Tetsuya waiting just outside the doors. Just as she was about to leave Tarou came and blinked surprised when she almost collided with him.
"Whops, sorry Uncle Tarou," Mac said.
"That's alright," he smiled. "Um, where are you going?"
"Just to talk with Tetsu," Mac said nodding toward Tetsuya. Tarou blinked again and followed her eyes and looked surprised.
"Ah, I didn't see you there, Kuroko," Tarou said. "Sorry about that."
"That's fine," Tetsuya said politely.
"Nice seeing you again," Tarou smiled.
"Thank you, Kagami-san," Tetsuya said. "Nice to see you too."
"Don't be out too late, Mac," Tarou said.
"Sure," Mac agreed and watched as her uncle left and the door closed. She turned to Tetsuya and smiled as she moved over to him and hugged him.
...
They found a bench in the nearby park and sat down. It was a nice evening and the weather had started to become a little warmer signalling that summer was coming. Though, it was still spring.
"So, how are you, Tetsu?" Mac asked.
Tetsuya looked at her and she arched a brow as he didn't answer right away.
"You saw Ogiwara," he finally said.
Mac hummed, "yeah. Taiga said he came today. I wasn't sure he would."
Tetsuya frowned a little, "he did."
Mac nodded but didn't say anything. She knew Tetsuya had something to say so she would wait. She wasn't really sure if he would be angry at her or not. She had, kind of, interfered in a part of his life again. But she couldn't just ignore it…
"Thank you," Tetsuya said making Mac look at him.
"For what?" Mac asked confused. "I didn't really do anything."
"You talked to Ogiwara and helped him," Tetsuya said. "When you didn't owe him anything."
Mac frowned a little and looked down at her hands.
"I don't know about that," she said. "I was still part of his trauma."
"He will play again now," Tetsuya said making Mac look over at him again confused. "He told me."
"He will?" Mac arched a brow.
"Mm," Tetsuya said. "He said he found what he was looking for when talking with you."
"But I didn't do anything," Mac said. "Not really."
"You helped him understand," Tetsuya said. "And…you helped me too."
"I'll always do what I can to help you, Tetsu," Mac said. "Though, I don't see how I helped you now."
"Giving me a chance to make it right with Ogiwara," Tetsuya said. "It's thanks to you that I got the chance."
"No," Mac said. "I only tried to fix what we broke. You shouldn't lose a friend because of us, so I tried to fix it. You still lost time, and I am sorry about that."
"It's not your fault, Mac," Tetsuya said.
Mac just shrugged.
"So, you talked?" Mac asked looking at Tetsuya.
"Yes," Tetsuya said. "We got the chance to talk and hang out like before. He lives in Tokyo again now."
"I guessed as much when I ran into him," Mac said. "That's good, right? You can meet him now."
"Yes," Tetsuya agreed.
...
New York, USA
...
"I say they are a menace!"
"I don't know about that. They are having fun playing."
"Fun?! Those guys don't know what the word means!"
The discussion went heatedly around the table as they ate.
"I saw their last match and what they did to their opponents is nothing but a massacre," Levi Owen said waving a fork as he tried to get the point across.
"They're just 18," Roy Douglas argued, "we should be happy that teens still enjoy basketball. They are the future of the sport."
"The way they're going they're going to ruin the sport rather than help it," Owen argued. "I hear most of their opponents quit after playing them."
"That's not their fault," Douglas said. "The others are too weak."
"Weak? That's not fair," Owen said.
A cough made the two men stop glaring at each other and over at the other two dining companions.
"I believe you both have a good point," Fredrick Peters said while Kubooki Yukikaze just looked at them thoughtfully. "Streetball is getting more popular."
"Yeah, but…" Owen started.
"If we want to start a new league, we will need to find a way to gain attention," Peters said. "And despite their reputation, we can't deny that they are the best."
"My point exactly," Douglas said looking pointedly over at Owen.
"So, what do you suggest we do?" Owen asked a little disgruntledly. "I would rather not involve them."
"Why not have them play in a tournament?" Kubooki Yukikaze said softly.
The three men turned their heads to stare at their last companion who had so far been quiet in their discussion.
"A tournament?" Douglas repeated.
"Yes," Kubooki said. "We can gather some teams and have them play each other. With enough exposure, it might bring enough attention so we can form a new league."
"That…sounds like a good idea," Owen said.
"Yeah," Douglas and Peters agreed.
"But how should we arrange it?" Peters asked.
"Well, as retired basketball players we should have some connections," Douglas said. "To get some funding."
They nodded.
"What we need is a publicity stunt," Douglas said. "Get Jabberwock to participate and on our side."
"What? They would just make our lives harder!" Owen argued. "I saw their leader and he's… well, crazy."
"They're the best team there is," Douglas argued back.
Peters sighed as his two friends were back at the same argument again.
"If they are in it then who will agree to join?" Owen argued. "Only reason would be if they had never heard of Jabberwock before, and if they're into streetball then they would have to live under a rock!"
"If they're so scared then the teams shouldn't have anything to do with this anyway," Douglas said. "We need to have someone who is brave enough to face them! Think of how many viewers we can get? The interest for our new league?"
"I will agree that it would bring views," Owen said, "but if they're as ruthless as they normally are they will scare new potential players away!"
"Guys," Peters said. "Calm down."
"What about making this tournament international?" Kubooki interrupted the discussion going on.
...
"International?" Douglas repeated.
"How will that help?" Owen asked. "We want to make this league here."
"Yes, but by making it international we can scout for new players and teams," Kubooki said. "Our new league could be bigger than we originally thought. Instead of a new domestic league, and let's face it, NBA will always be the leader when it comes to basketball here. We could make it so that other countries could be involved as well."
"That's true," Peters said.
"NBA isn't a league for streetball though," Owen said. "So, we should still be okay."
"Maybe," Kubooki said. "I think it would be more exciting if we travelled and organised a tournament all over the world. We gather the best and have them play each other. It will be different from what everyone else does. It will make us stand out."
"We could even make it so it's for teens," Peters suggested. "Like the Jabberwock, they are all 18 or so, right?"
"I believe so," Douglas said thoughtfully.
"Where would you suggest we go?" Douglas asked looking at Kubooki.
He smiled a little and sipped his wine as he looked at their expectant faces.
"How about my home country?" he asked. "Japan?"
"What do you have in mind?" Owen asked curiously. "You're clearly thinking about something…"
Kubooki smiled, "have you ever heard about the Generation of Miracles?"

AN: What do you think? XD
Finally a new update. I know I keep apologizing for the late updates, but things have been a little rough lately. So, I've been taking it easy with writing. I hope I will get back to it fully soon, though. XD Thank you for your patience!
Um, should I have Ogiwara transfer over to Seirin and have him join their team? Does anyone have any thoughts about that? I haven't made a decision, either way, just a thought I had and thought I would hear if anyone liked the idea. XD
Hope you liked it! Thank you for reading! XD
