Ororo and her three kids were at the park, the kids were playing tag while she was sitting and watching, she smiled as a gentle breeze graced her face and hair. They had decided to just call it a fun day today nothing else to think about, the kids thought that was a wonderful idea, she knew they would. As much as they enjoyed running around and having fun, no one liked the idea more than she did. Enjoying all of creation and the peace the Creator put in it, and relaxing without feeling obligated to worry about anything else.
It had been a rough week, especially at the beginning of the week when she'd woken up looking for her husband, then finding the note on the counter telling her that he'd be back soon. In the years that they were with the X Men he'd often go on these trips to find more about himself and his lost past. He never told anyone where he was going or how long he'd be, or if he'd come back at all. She was usually fine with this and didn't let it bother her, but it was different now… Ororo and Logan were married now and had three young children, she did her best to be a good wife and mother, but this wasn't helping her or them.
A small tug on her leg pulled her out of her thoughts, she looked down to see their middle child Evan looking up at her, she smiled to him warmly. "Mommy." He said a question in his tone. "Yes…" She responded. "Where's Daddy?"
At his question she didn't know what to tell him, she thought of several places he could be, with the X Men, back up in Canada, or somewhere else random that he'd never been before. "He's probably somewhere searching for his past." "Again?" He asked, she nodded. "Why?" "Remember when we told you about those bad people that kidnapped him." He waited there for her to continue. "They hurt him so bad that he couldn't even remember who he was." "But we know who Daddy is!" He said exuberantly, she smiled big at her son's response. "I know." She said simply.
Ororo and Logan had never told their kids exact details on what happened to their Father in Weapon X, they had just told them that some bad people had gotten to him and something very bad happened, they weren't old enough to handle the details of what really happened yet. "Can we go get him?" He asked wanting both his Mom and Dad to be there with him and his siblings. "I wish we could." She responded truthfully. "Why not?" "I'm pretty sure he wants to be alone right now." "Why?" "Finding his past is something he just likes to be alone in." "I miss Daddy, why doesn't he take us?" He pressed. "I do to, it's a little too much for you to deal with right now, we'll tell you about it when you're older though." "Oh." He said then looked at her sadly. "How about you go play with your sisters, I'm sure they'd love to have you." She said trying to persuade him to get his mind off the fact that his Dad wasn't there at the time. "Ok." He sounded sadder than before.
She loved their children and Logan all very much, but, this made her feel insecure sometimes, and she didn't know how long she could handle it continuing. She tried to get her mind off of it for the rest of the time that they were there so that they could just enjoy themselves.
Time passed, they soon got into the car and drove home, then had dinner, watched a movie and went to bed.
