Sorry it took me so long to post this, got distracted by work and had a funeral to go to over the weekend so I really wasn't in a writing mood. Hope you enjoy this chapter! Also I don't own anything except Baachan, Yui, and Yuki. Possibly more OC's on the way!
Wednesday rolled around the next week where the class of 1-A where they received some special news. Kaminari was talking to Yuki about some movie that just came out and was trying to work around asking to join him. He just wasn't able to say it fast enough. Mr. Aizawa had started talking and she immediately moved her attention to the teacher. "Okay we can talk later…"
At the front of the room Aizawa waited till everyone shut up before speaking. "Now for todays basic hero training. This time, All Might, myself, and one other will supervise." So there was more than one teacher today? It had to be good. Glancing over at Katsuki, Yuki couldn't help her grin from growing he looked interested. "Um, what're we doing exactly?" Sero questions hand raised in the air confused.
"Preparing you for disaster relief, from fires to floods." Yuki squealed in her seat excited for todays training exercise. She couldn't wait to put her abilities in action. After all, Yuki saw herself in the future to be a great rescue fighter. "Rescue, huh sounds like another rough day."
"Right!"
"Come on, this is what being a Hero's all about! I'm pumped!" Kirishma exclaimed excitedly slamming his fist on the desk. "I'm so pumped! Katsuki what about you?"
Katsuki rolled his eyes at her, she was getting over excited. "Tch."
"Hey. I'm not done. It's up to each of you whether or not you wear your costumes. As some of them are Ill-suited to this sort of activity. The training site is a bit remote, so we'll be going by bus. Thats all. Get ready."
It didn't take long for a majority of the students to dress up in their hero costumes. Katsuki watched as Deku was fumbling over his words when he caught sight of Yuki in her hero costume. Yuki was dressed in an all black bodysuit resembling a spoofy ninja costume. Yellow goggles rested on the top of her purple hair, Bakugo looked away from the girl grumbling to himself that she would talk with that loser.
He quickly made his way towards the bus and got in his seat. He didn't need to hear Deku try to flirt with Yuki. It was pathetic. What would Yuki see in that loser anyway? Besides she has a thing for IcyHot. What does she see in that weirdo anyway? There wasn't anything special about that freak, that bastard wasn't even worth Yuki's time! 'What the hell am I thinking? I don't fucking like Yuki so what the hell is going on with me?!'
"Hey Todoroki looks like we're seat buddies." Bakugo grumbled hearing her cheerfully great IcyHot. The two toned male glanced at the girl nodding his head and going back to dozing. Yuki blushed, taking her seat happy that she would get the chance to sit next to the boy. He was so mysterious and cool, a total dreamboat!
Pulling out her headphones and a book Yuki started to listen to music trying to let the fictional world take over her. "What'd you say frog face?!"
"See." Pulling a headphone out Yuki looked up confused at the standing male "We've only barely started socializing and already you've made it abundantly clear to us the unpleasantness of your steamed turd of a personality."
"Yeah, okay Mr. Vocabulary. How about I pound you?!" Bakugo snapped about ready to pounce. "Hey Jiro mind if we switch?" Yuki whispered to the girl in front of her. "If it gets me away from his tantrum sure."
"I heard that!"
Jiro and Yuki switched seats quickly, time to calm the raging time bomb down. "Katsuki calm down and listen to music with me."
"Fuck you, who the hell do you think you are to…" reaching up Yuki smacked the back of Katsuki's head a few times "Shut the fuck up and sit down!" Uraraka giggled while Momo held a hand over her mouth in shock. She wasn't expecting Yuki to speak in such a way but then again she does spend time with Bakugo a lot.
"At least when I threaten someone I'm not making it out like we're going to fuck!" Yuki snapped glaring at her best friend "What the hell are you talking about?! I didn't make anything out like…"
"Oh don't give me that bull, 'How about I pound you?' I didn't know you wanted to be with Kaminari." Katsuki's face erupted in a bright red "Screw you! I like girls!" He saw her smirk and growled louder "Suuuure you do." Snickering to herself again, Yuki leaned over placing a kiss on the boys cheek. "Oh calm down I'm only joking."
Shoving a headphone in the boy's ear, Yuki put the other in her own ear and pulled her book out again. She heard the boy beside her grumbling to himself though her smile didn't waver. She was so happy that she could get under his skin no matter what she did.
It took Katsuki a bit to calm down some from Yuki's poke at him. The music was something from Star Wars, Katsuki learned early on that when Yuki was reading she liked listening to classical. No words to distract her into singing. Sure her music taste wasn't his favorite but the music itself was calming him down some.
"What book are you reading?" he muttered softly glancing back at his friend staring at the red cover. "Blood of Elves, its really good if you're into fantasy." scoffing Katsuki rolled his eyes and looked away again. He felt her arm snake through his, linking them together.
When it was time to get off the bus everyone was excited! They were at the USJ! The Universal Studio's of Japan! They had every disaster and accident you could even imagine! It was the Space Hero Thirteen that was explaining to the group of children what they would be doing. Izuku and Uraraka were fangirling over Thirteen.
Yuki didn't know much about the Hero only because she spent a majority of her life in America. Yuki didn't have to wonder what Thirteen's quirk was because he started explaining that one soon too. Black holes. Apparently Thirteen uses his quirk to save people in all sorts of disasters though he made sure everyone knew that his power was dangerous.
Yuki started to shake with excitement. She couldn't wait to show off her skills! Everything changed though in a matter of seconds. The group started to hear a crackle and turned around to see a group of people coming out of a portal!
"Don't move. Those are villains!" Bakugo instantly pushed Yuki behind him, holding a protective arm out in case she tried anything. He felt the girls hand scrunch into the fabric of his costume. "Thirteen and Eraser head, is it?" the shadow man with bright yellow eyes spoke in a deep voice. "According to the staff schedule I received the other day, All Might is supposed to be here…"
It was incredible to watch their teached jump into action. Yuki was beyond surprised to see that their usual lazy teacher had sprung into action ripping his goggles over his eyes and jumping down taking down villains left and right. He sent the fabric around his neck wrapping it around some villains only to knock them out by smashing them into another. EraserHead was amazing in action!
"Come on! We need to get out of here!" Katsuki and Yuki locked hands and started running towards the exit when one of the villains had blocked their exit. "I won't allow that." Yuki felt Katsuki thrust her behind him in a protective stance snarling like a dog. "Greetings. We are the League of Villains. Forgive our audacity but today, we've come here to U.A. High school this bastion of heroism to end the life of All Might, the Symbol of Peace."
Kill All-Might?! "We were under the impression that All-Might would be here today but it seems his schedule was revised? Well...no matter. My role remains unchanged."
Katsuki and Kishrama jumped forward, sending a small wave of attack at the male. Surprising the shadow like man. "Not if we end you first."
"Betcha didn't see that coming!"
"That was close, yes students though you may be, you are the best of the best…"
"Katsuki!" Yuki didn't like the way he spoke and quickly rushed forward stepping on their shadows and watching them fall through. Glancing back she saw them land behind the group in the back.
Yuki's head shot back towards the male when she heard the man's surprised "Shadow?" How did he know that name?! Katsuki watched his best friend frozen in terror over the choice of words the shadowed male spoke. What was going on? Was she that scared?
"Is it you? My shadow?" she stumbled backwards into the two toned male shaking when he reached out grasping onto her shoulders. The villain frowned down at the girl seeing as how she refused to answer. Must be a trick of the mind. The girl looked so familiar to him for some reason. He had work to do. He didn't need to be distracted by some child that looked strangely familiar to him. "Begone!" Dark shadows wrapped around the entire class. Thirteen tried to save the kids but it was too late. They were all separated to different areas.
Yuki felt like her body was being twisted and torn. She couldn't breathe! It felt like centuries before she felt normal again. When she realized that she was no longer standing at the entrance she was standing in the middle of a desert area surrounded by tons of villains. They were completely outnumbered. They being Todoroki and Yuki.
"Well shit...got a plan?" Yuki muttered glancing around for an escape route. If they somehow got free of these villains then they could go help the others or even their sensei. "Yeah." Todoroki's rough voice sent chills down Yuki's spine as she watched his ice side take full effect. Ice shot out all through the ground freezing every villain in sight.
"Holy fuck you're amazing!" Todoroki smirked at his companion's choice of words. "Thanks…" Todoroki watched as Yuki waltzed up to a trapped villain a smirk on her face "Now then...Why do you want to kill All-Might?" she spoke softly. Todoroki thought it was almost strange seeing her speak so softly when he was so used to her loud and brash nature.
Todoroki still couldn't process why she acted the way she did when the villain called her 'His Shadow' it didn't make sense. Why would those words send her into a shivering fit. Did she know him? Was it possible that she did? Or was it because this was her first real encounter with a villain so up close and personal.
Todoroki watched with wide eyes at her quick movement slamming her fist into the villains face watching blood gush out of the males face. "Try again!" Walking up calmly behind the purple haired girl placing a hand on her shoulder "Allow me?"
Nodding her head. Todoroki was able to get the information out of the villain easier. Yuki glared at the male grumbling to herself about the guy being a sexist pig. "At this rate your skin'll rot away from frostbite. But I'm trying to become a hero. And heroes don't do such horrible things, what makes you think you can kill All-Might? Tell me the plan."
Yuki felt herself turn to mush watching Todoroki take charge and get the answers he seeked. Though it wasn't much, these thugs didn't know anything more than to just attack and kill off the kids in their class. "Todoroki you're amazing!" Glancing back at the girl he noted her red face and a look of pure content in her eyes.
"Come on, we should go find the others." Nodding her head Yuki and Todoroki rushed out of the battle area towards the front where they found Katsuk and Kirishima. Yuki felt her heart pound heavily in her chest when she saw her best friend. He was okay.
"Katsuki!" She screamed rushing forward wrapping her arms around his waist snuggling into his chest enjoying the warmth radiating off his chest. She immediately started to smell his sweet caramel scent. "You're okay." hands gripped her shoulders trying to push the girl off him. "Of course I'm fucking fine you idiot!" his struggles were half assed, Yuki smiled snuggling deeper into his chest Ignoring the stares.
"Are you guys okay?" Kirishima asked Todoroki "Yes,"
"Enjiro!" Yuki let go of the ash blonde and wrapped her arms around the boy's neck pulling him into a tight hug "I'm glad you're okay!" Kirishima blushed at how forward the girl was by calling him by his first name. Pulling away they all started towards the entrance but stopped when they saw their sensei was getting killed down there.
Yuki froze in her spot watching her teacher turn into a bloody mess fighting for his life as well as the students. Eraser Head was truly the best. With Thirteen incapasitated he was alone. He would surely die out there. She needed to help him. Anyway possible. Katsuki was unable to process what just happened. Yuki was beside him just a moment ago then she was rushing down towards the big monster.
"Yuki you bitch get back here!" Katsuki growled chasing after his friend. Her hand shot out smacking the side of a wall and she was down below. Damn her quirk.
Yuki's mind was racing. What could she do. What would she do! A pipe. Reaching out she gripped her pipe tightly swinging into villains as hard as she could. Her eyes widen even more when she saw that the man with many hands on his body leaning forward to touch Tsu. She didn't know what his quirk was but she didnt want to risk him hurting her. Mineta and Izuku were staring horrified while the girl was just frozen.
"Tsu!" the male glanced over at the student holding a bloody pipe her wide yellow eyes locked onto his form, he could see she wanted him dead. What was she going to do? She got his attention, now what.
"Baker get out of here!" Growling to herself at her sensei's words Yuki clutched tighter onto the pipe. "I can't run away." she whispered, keeping an eye on the large bird like male holding her teacher captive. "Fuck that!"
"Nomu." The creature was in front of her within a second. It was impossible, there was no way he could be there that fast. Yuki smirked under her mask feeling the shadow wrap around her being. She felt herself start to fall through the ground and appear behind the hand male Swinging her pipe into the back of his head. The many handed male's crimson eyes widen in shock, completely surprised that this happened. 'A teleporter?'
The Nomu snarled twisting around gripping the girl tightly within its grasp, she felt the life being squeezed out of her. Struggling Yuki tried to stab the being in the eye or something to cause damage but all it did was toss her in the air and slam his fist into her gut sending her flying, skidding in the water till she slammed painfully into the boat.
Yuki didn't know what happened next. She felt pain all over, she was pretty sure she had a few broken ribs and that she should be dead by now. The cool water felt wonderful on her skin but felt horrible. She felt the water start to enter her lungs, she was drowning. She wasn't strong enough...fuck…
'Sorry Mommy...sorry Baachan…'
Yuki's vision went black as she accepted her death. Sure, death by drowning did suck but she did what she thought was right, putting her life on the line to help her teacher, to help her classmates, to help her friends...After all getting killed by doing all she could to help those in need? It seemed pretty heroic to her.
A pounding headache was what Yuki felt when she woke up again, the lights were bright and there was a loud buzzing sound going on in her ears. Her chest aches painfully when she tried to sit up. What was going on? Wasn't she dead?
Letting out a hiss Yuki opened her eyes being blinded by the light as she tried to adjust to where she was. She was in a hospital room. What was going on? Wasn't she dead? Slowly sitting up Yuki glanced around, she was alone. She was in the school's nurses office.
"Miss Baker I'm glad to see you're awake." smiling softly at the older woman Yuki grunted shifting her body so that she was sitting up. "How are you feeling?"
Shrugging her shoulders Yuki reached slowly to her head "Well...I'm not dead but I feel close to it...probably deserve it for being so stupid." the older woman chuckled shaking her head "While it is true that your decision to fight off those villains by yourself was not the smartest, your intentions were pure enough."
Smiling at the older woman Yuki laughed wincing as she did so. "You think so...I didn't do much." The older woman shook her head reaching forward with her stethoscope. Recovery Girl listened to the girls heart as she spoke. "From what I heard, you stalled just long enough for All-Might to get there...Your classmate Ms. Asui was the one to get you out of the water."
"I need to thank you."
"Your heart's being strong, come see me tomorrow before class for another healing session alright?" nodding her head Yuki slowly made her way out of her bed and out into the hallway, her mother and Baachan were talking with Mitsuki and Masaru. Katsuki was grumbling to himself arms crossed over his chest as he glared at the ground.
The conversation went still when she caught her mothers eye "Baby!" Yuki yelped feeling the woman clutch onto her for dear life. Biting her bottom lip Yuki tried to stifle her hiss of pain to not worry her family more. "Hi momma…"
The woman fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face as she clutched her daughters face. "I was so worried about you. Are you okay? What hurts baby? What can I do?" giving off a pained smile Yuki let out another pained laugh "I'm okay Momma...I'm sorry I worried you."
The older woman let go of her daughter's face letting a deep sign escape her lips. Baachan sighed happy that her precious granddaughter was okay before smacking her on the head with her umbrella "Do you know how worried we were?!"
"Ahh! Baachan I almost died," Yuki pouted, rubbing her head annoyed. "You're lucky Recovery girl was kind enough to heal you. What were you thinking?!" Katsuki reached out and slammed his fist repeatedly down on the girls head "You're an idiot!"
"Katsuki stoppp!" she whined trying to hide from the male. Grumbling to himself he gave another hard whack before walking away. "You're too much like your father Yuki…" Yui muttered shaking her head reaching forward to hug her daughter once more. She instantly remembered all the fears she had whenever Yuki's father had gone out for his missions. She feared the worst when she got the call.
"I'm okay Momma, I need to train harder so that next time this doesn't happen." Yuki was determined to make sure nothing like this ever happened again. She wouldn't choke up and she'd do more!
