The Winchester Brothers
Dean Winchester whistled as he walked through the streets of old Enochia and the people around him whispered the same repeated rumours Dean had grown up listening. Dean was only four when the attack happened and the royal family were killed. While Enochia used to be filled with Angels, the streets now housed angels, demons, humans and hunters. Dean was a hunter. His father moved the family here after his mother was burned alive by a demon. At seventeen, Dean had few memories of when Angels ruled. He knew that the lands were more peaceful with Angels looking after all four of the species that live in Enochia.
Dean listened with one ear as the rumours discussed the missing prince. Castiel. Lucifer was still hunting for the young prince – the prince was said to rule all the lands. The only angel to be able to summon more than just their powers but also wings. The one said to put Lucifer into a cage – which not even the King and Queen could do. Many believed that Castiel was still out there, training but the hunters knew differently.
Unlike humans, demons or angels, Hunter's abilities worked differently. Hunters were secret keepers. Their sense was heightened and they were able to resist torture. Hunters were also more similar to humans than demons or angels with only a birthmark designed to keep them safe from detection. In the past, Hunters were spies however, in the reign of Lucifer Hunters were now protectors.
Protectors of Gabriel. Who was in hiding, waiting for what Dean knew to be a dead prince. Dean rolled his eyes and another whisper reached him that Castiel was in disguise as a human just waiting for his mark.
Angels could not disguise themselves. Just like Hunters were identified by the marks, angels always seemed to have a glow around them and had brightly coloured eyes. Demons had dead black eyes and seemed to be covered with mist and humans looked like humans.
Dean recalled Hunter's Book, a guide that covers all the different species that currently occupy these lands, that his father had him reading from a young age.

Each of the groups also had its own abilities. Demons and Angels could transport outwit certain runes (which the palace was filled off for protection), Angels and Hunters could see ghosts, Demons could possess humans if they felt like it as well as smaller powers that were special for each group.
Dean arrived at his destination. Since John Winchester had left to protect Gabriel, abandoning his teenage sons for what he said was the greater good, Dean and Sam had made their home in the old palace. They did have permission, the ghosts of the royal family still haunted the palace and as Hunters' eyes were sensitive to ghosts, the brothers could clearly see them.
"Hey, Dean" Sam yelled. The fifteen-year was playing chess with Raphael and somehow losing, "how was town?"
"The same" Dean said, throwing the coins that he had pickpocketed onto the chess board much to Raphael's disapproval.
'You shouldn't steal' said Raphael. Dean rolled his eyes.
"I don't listen to the dead, thanks" the older brother snorted and left the room. Sam followed.
"You should be nicer to them," said Sam. Dean snorted. Sam rolled his eyes and jumped onto the table while Dean continue to empty his pockets.
"More rumours?" Sam asked. Dean nodded.
"Apparently he can now shapeshift. Have you found anything yet?" Dean asked.
"Nope, if the Prince died here, his spirit did not stick around," Sam said. Dean frowned.
"If he's not here, could Lucifer really have him?" Sam asked.
"No," Dean said, "he wouldn't have released that damn prophecy if he had Castiel or hired a bunch of demons to look."
"Dean" Sam sighed, "do you think Castiel could be alive?" Dean looked at his brother.
"No," said Dean, "if he was, he would've been found a long time ago. He may not have died here, but Prince Castiel is dead and we should get used to this way of living."
Cas waved up at the orphanage where he had been raised. The human orphanage seem to be more alive than Enochia as the children ranging from toddlers to teenagers waved excitably toward Cas. Cas pulled at the trench coat he was wearing over his baggy clothes as he turned to Rowena. Although the orphanage was human, Rowena was a demon who felt she had nothing better to do.
"I got you a job. You just need to keep going straight down this path and turned right when you get to the fork in the road. Got it?" She pulled at his coat. Castiel's dull blue eyes seemed to smile down at the woman who took in an amnesia six-year-old.
"I know. You protected me this long. Time for me to find my own way in the world."
Rowena smiled, wished him good luck and sent him on his way. Cas walked through the gates of the orphanage for the last time as he walked onwards to a new life.
