NO. 6 Tears #altprompt
Summary Young academy fic: Hargreeves just finished Luther and Five's training and went out and some of the kids decide to play hide and seek, making Vanya it- But in doing so she finds Five's hiding spot for when he needs to cry out his fears and frustrations
Note: since this takes place when they were younger, Viktor will be referred to as Vanya.
Luther and Five walked into the common area with Reginald right behind them. Both held their heads high, but both looked exhausted. Diego and Klaus were playing a card game, while Vanya, Allison and Ben read.
"Children, you should know both your brothers made excellent progress in today's training. This is a level that I expect you all to strive to reach." He announced to the others.
Diego set his jaw at this and Allison rolled her eyes.
"You should also know, due to their hard work, they got to pick the reward, which was extra 'free' time for you all."
This made things better. They could have asked for anything, but they chose something that benefited everyone.
And they chose to spend that time playing hide-and-seek.
"Vanya should be it," Diego said, decidedly. "She doesn't do any training. Let her do some work."
Ben was about to come to her defense when Vanya spoke up.
"Sure!"
This will allow her to sneak around as if she did have powers to find them. Who knows, maybe she had late powers just waiting to be awakened.
She laid face down on the couch, and started to count.
Five immediately blinked out, as Allison grabbed Luther's outstretched hand and they ran towards the kitchen. Klaus immediately hid behind the bar and Ben and Diego headed upstairs.

Vanya found Klaus immediately. He was terrible at this game. Also he was noisily opening and drinking a bottle of something he found in the back of the bottom shelf of the bar.
She crept through the kitchen area, hearing whispers and giggles behind the counter.
Luther and Allison…
But she didn't want to find Allison just yet, and something told her she shouldn't sneak up on them.
Vanya turned and left.
She went up the stairs right by the kitchen and skipped the second floor. No one would hide in the bedrooms, that was too simple. Onward to the third floor… Five and Ben's room was up here, along with access to the attic space.
She stopped to think it over.
Diego was probably over on the other side in the training area. Ben would probably hide in the courtyard.
She turned to head back down when she heard a sniffle and froze.
Five?
She followed the noise to the storage room at the end of the hall. There was a way to the roof from here.
She closed her eyes and focused on the sound of the crying. It was resonating in her heart, she felt so pained by it.
She stepped into the attic space and saw him in the corner. She raced over to him.
"Five."
"I guess you found me," he looked at the ground, trying not to show his face.
She dropped down in front of him. He started to spark, but she grabbed his hand. "Please stay," she said.
His blue energy faded and he finally looked at her, his face tear stained, his eyes red and watery.
"Five…" she had both hands on his arms now, he winced at the extra pressure. She rolled up his sleeve showing a bruise. "What's wrong? Was it Dad?"
"He had me in restraints. He kept tightening them to see if I could still blink out of them." He bit at his lower lip. "I'm tired."
She didn't know what to say. What could she say? As much as she wanted to be like her siblings, she wasn't. Which also meant she didn't know the strain and pain, physically and mentally, of the tests they all had to endure.
She positioned herself next to him, and pulled him into her, wrapping her arms around him.
"The game," he protested.
"It's a big house…it's taking me a while to find everyone."
He didn't fight her. He just leaned against her and let out the rest of his tears.
Another short, I know. I was really strapped for time with this one.
Hope it was still enjoyable!
