Chapter 10

Okay this may sound kind of stupid and demanding, but can I please get some reviews in this story. I mean it's kind of disheartening that I don't get reviews that help fix flaws in this story as well as other stuff that reviews do. I know this story is doing fine in terms of follows and favs, but still. Kind of strange that it doesn't have that many reviews (Much like most of my other stories.).

Rosie

Cafe

Rosie couldn't help but sigh as she drank her tea. It was a delectable brand that had just been created by an old friend of hers. Coming from plants originating from the Lust ring, the tea gave off a sweet allure and taste that bonded well with her taste buds. She'll have to invest in this brand so that she can more of such a delectable tea. Perhaps even sell some to get profit out of it.

Taking another sip, Rosie wondered what Franklin was doing. Last she heard of her partner, he was out doing one of his little escapades, which ranged from simple trips to a brothel or trips that benefitted their Emporium, and thus her. Hoping that it was the latter, Rosie finished her tea and motioned for a waiter to arrive so she can pay the bill and be on her way.

After paying for the tea, Rosie left the café she was in for her Emporium. As she was walking the streets of hell, she found countless Succubus and Incubus preying on the new sinners that are arriving to Hell, taking advantage of their confusion and horror in being in Hell and not in Heaven or whatever afterlife they believe in, for some easy marks. Honestly, why is Lilith the only of her kind that has any self-control? Even now, she had Succubus and Incubus whores trying to interlope with her. Her! An Overlord of Hell. Oh, if they dare to use their magic on her, they'll regret it.

Passing a Succubus having casual sex with two sinners, Rosie hid her disgust with a lovely smile. Oh, how filthy Succubus can be. If only more had Lilith's self-control and dignity. In more ways than one, Rosie felt a bit of pity for the sinners, especially those that followed different religions. Coming to the revelation that everything you believed was a lie and that a rival religion was true, if a tidbit wrong on some things, must be quite soul-crushing for those individuals. She would pity them more if some of their religions weren't so stupid or violent. Or so…incestuous. Fortunately, those individuals were becoming a dying breed as more and more religions ceased to exist as this Christianity was starting to become more widespread. Either through military force or through its more benevolent stance on things compared to other religions. Oh, the simplicity of humans. Promise them eternal paradise or something and they'll do whatever you wish. Such as exterminating other religious groups or performing genocide on their own kind because their religious figureheads said so. Oh, such simple creatures. So capable of a great many things. If given the right incentive.

She was thinking more and more of this matter when she heard a scream. She would have normally ignored such a scream, but the tone of it made her pause. This wasn't the normal screams of despair she was used to from the denizens of Hell, especially Sinners, but the uncommon screams of rage. And even more uncommon this scream was reserved for those fighting for their lives. Curious, Rosie traveled to where the scream came from. Once she got there she was a bit shocked at what she saw.

A lone sinner, a humanoid surprisingly, was busy fighting a group of Succubus with a few of the Succubus on the ground unconscious. Further inspection of the Succubus on the ground revealed bruises from fists, obviously from the sinner, as he was fighting the group of demon whores by himself. Looking at the sinner, Rosie found herself intrigued.

He was quite a buffed individual, not over-exaggerated like some human religion makes the perfect human body to be, but buff enough that Rosie was sure he was some kind of human warrior in the living world. Long black hair was messy and all over the place as the Sinner fought against the Succubus, who, not to Rosie's surprise, tried to avoid him. Both because they didn't know how to fight and because they didn't want their looks to be damaged.

Intrigued, Rosie watched the fight go on as the Sinner finally caught up to a Succubus by gripping her by the leg and pulling her towards him. Screaming, the Succubus tried to use her natural seduction powers against the Sinner to make him stop along with her fellow Succubus', but to Rosie's surprise, it didn't work and the Sinner began to beat up on the Succubus.

The ability to resist a Succubus' seduction powers was a rare ability among those Sinners that just arrived in Hell. Between the realization of being in the realm that all the damned come to as well as being a new realm altogether, even the most strong-willed of individuals will succumb to the seductive powers of a Succubus in that moment of weakness. Yet this human turned Sinner was resisting the powers of the Succubus around him. And if his expressions are any indication, he wasn't going to succumb to their powers anytime soon.

Intrigued, Rosie watched from afar as the sinner took out two more Succubus' before, what Rosie presumed to be the leader, summoned a cage around the Sinner, trapping him. The leader, a red-hair Succubus with a voluptuous body, walked over to the Sinner and slapped him.

"How dare you hurt me and my ladies." Said the leader as she glared at the Sinner. "We tried to give you a good time and you just went and beat us up!" She then showed the Sinner her right arm, revealing some bruises there. She then showed her face, which also had a few bruises there. "It took me three days to get this face the way it was before you ruined it! Three days! You're going to pay for this!" The leader then turned into a more demonic form with sharp claws and teeth to boot. Instead of being fearful, like what Rosie thought, the Sinner stood defiant to the end even as the Succubus got close to him to kill with her teeth and claws.

Seeing enough, Rosie decided to intervene. Allowing such a unique and potentially powerful individual to die because of a Succubus' wounded pride was something that she refused to allow. Not when she could use him for her own purposes.

Thus, Rosie placed a magic barrier between the Sinner and the Succubus', catching them all by surprise. Walking towards them, Rosie opened up her parasol before speaking up.

"Now, now." Said Rosie as she walked towards everyone with her signature smile. "There's no need for anyone to die. Well, here anyway." Upon seeing who was coming, all the Succubus, including their leader, widened their eyes in shock as an Overlord of Hell made her way towards them.

"What in Satan's name do you want, Overlord?" Asked the leader as she returned back to her normal form. "This Sinner angered you or something?"

"On the contra, I would like this Sinner all for myself." Said Rosie as she looked at the Sinner in the cage, who was glaring at her in anger and rage, amusing her. "I saw what he did to you all and it impressed me so much that I decided to intervene. You see, I find myself in need of muscle for my Emporium and I figured he would be an excellent choice for that." Upon hearing that the Sinner spoke for the first time.

"I'm no slave to anyone!" Said the Sinner. "I serve no one but the gods themselves!" Even when he was imprisoned and at the mercy of being more powerful than him, he was still defiant and angry. Oh, this will be good. Ignoring him, Rosie spoke out.

"So, here's the deal. Leave him alone and I won't splatter these streets with your insides." Offered Rosie as she turned her smile into a more feral one. Most of the Succubus, upon seeing that smile, backed off in fear of the Overlord. Only the leader stayed defiant, but when Rosie's eyes began to leak out black ichor from them and dark shadows began to form around her, even the leader backed down. Pleased at this, Rosie motioned for them to leave with a dainty hand while she looked at the Sinner, pleased to have such a prize. Glaring at the Sinner one last time, the Succubus gathered their unconscious acquaintances and left, leaving Rosie with the Sinner. Once they were all gone, Rosie looked at the Sinner with a smile, a dainty hand bringing out a handkerchief from her person to clean the ichor coming down her face before it could stain her dress.

"Well now, are you prepared for your new life?" Asked Rosie as she dispelled the barrier around the Sinner and held out her hand. "Provided you are fine with manual labor." The Sinner glared down at Rosie, towering above her by a foot, before speaking.

"Why, by the gods, did you save me?" Growled the Sinner as he looked at the Overlord, who still had her hand in the air, waiting for the Sinner to grab it. "I was fighting those wretches and prepared to accept my demise when you stopped it. Why?"

"Because it would have been a waste of such a brave soul such as yourself to die by something as a Succubus being anger over you damaging their looks. Not when you can be useful to me." Explained Rosie as she still held out her hand. "Now, are you going to be a gentleman and actually take a lady's hand or not? It's quite rude to not take a woman's hand when it's being offered to you." The Sinner just looked down at the hand, pondering on it as if unsure of what Rosie is planning on doing, before taking it.

"Very well, woman, since you saved my life, no matter how much it pains me, I'm in your debt." Said the Sinner before letting go. "By my name, I swear to repay my debt to you in any manner you wish for me to do." Upon hearing that, Rosie smiled greatly at that.

"Oh, that is quite delightful to hear." Said Rosie as she took the Sinner's hand again. "So very delightful to hear. I hope that your worth the effort, otherwise." Her teeth grew sharper than they already were and her eyes began seeping black ichor again. Smaller amounts than before, but still noticeable. "You understand?" The Sinner just grunted before bowing his head in understanding, causing Rosie to go back to normal. "Splendid! What's your name? If you can recall it."

"My name is Sahn-Uzal." Said the Sinner, introducing himself to his new…master.

Present

Imp city

"Those were good days." Thought Rosie as she recalled the day she first meant Mordekaiser, or Sahn-Uzal back then, while she walked the streets of Imp city. "Who knew that that buff human would become as Lucifer's greatest rival since Satan himself. That buff and sexy human." Truth be told, at first, she just wanted him because she thought he would be just a good security guard for the Emporium. A little rough around the edges and perhaps a bit arrogant for his own good, but he was nothing that she nor Franklin couldn't handle. Back then, he was just a Sinner. Nothing to write home about. Oh, how things would be different if she didn't find him interesting that day or even stumbled upon him. Then things would be so different. She wouldn't have to deal with angels nor live in fear of Lucifer finding out her connection with the one that humiliated him so long ago. But then again, she wouldn't have her son at all, who she loved dearly, along with the man that she fell in love with.

As much as she wished to dwell on those memories, so she can avoid the thoughts of walking amongst the filth-infested streets of Imp city. For Satan's sake, even Pentagram's worst streets were cleaner than this. The best hotel in this land better be half-decently clean or else a lot of Imps are going to die.

Much later

It took a while but Rosie eventually found a hotel that she can tolerate. It wasn't five stars, at least compared to those found in Pentagram city, but much cleaner and more elite than the other hotels than those she found so far.

Entering the building, Rosie walked towards the reception desk, which was handled by two Imps. Looking at one of them, Rosie spoke out.

"I would like to have a room here for two weeks." Requested Rosie as she spoke to the little Imp, a female, drinking some coffee, not even looking at who was talking. Such incompetence. Upon seeing the Overlord, the Imp spat out her coffee, fortunately not hitting Rosie, before standing up straight.

"Of course." Said the Imp as she went to work while her coworker openly gaped at seeing an Overlord here. "What room would you like?"

"Your most expensive room." Said Rosie. "One that is quite spacious and has a private bathroom and toilet. Along with a nice view of the city. Oh and one that security can arrive to at a moment's notice. Is there such a room in this hotel?"

"Yes, there is." Said the Imp as she looked up at the Overlord, fearful of enraging her. "Standard rent is over five thousand souls per night here. Is that satisfactory, ma'am?" Rosie, at first, wondered about the very cheap price of the room being offered before she chalked it up to the economic state of Imp city. No doubt things were far cheaper here than it was on Pentagram or any other city in Hell that Rosie had the pleasure of visiting, being a true hell-born that had ready access to the other rings of Hell.

"We'll see." Said Rosie with a wide smile. "Everything better be satisfactory, and I better not find any peeping toms around my room or…" Her smile then became corpse-like as her hands began to slowly become claws while her eyes began to look like black holes, even more than usual.

Whimpering, the Imp lady nodded feverishly while her coworker fainted from fear. Without a word, the conscious Imp gave Rosie a key and gave her the room number of her room as well as some assurance that her privacy won't be violented by any of the hotel staff.

Taking the key, Rosie left the Imps alone as she headed for an elevator. Once she was on the elevator and heading to her floor, Rosie then thought of the days after she brought Mordekaiser to the Emporium. More specifically, the year when he began his quest to become what he is today.

Past

Thousands of years ago

Rosie and Franklin's Emporium

Rosie had been drinking a fine cup of tea when a servant came to her, an Imp.

"Uh, mistress Rosie, one of your employees is causing a ruckus." Said the Imp in a fine suit. Raising an eyebrow, she asked which one was causing trouble. "They're not causing trouble, per se, but they're causing a stir among the other employees. Nothing that'll affect the ability of the workers to do anything once the extermination is done, but I thought it was worth mentioning to you." Sighing, Rosie finished her tea before leaving to tend to the matter at hand, believing she knew who was causing the problems.

Walking down to the main floor of the base floor of the Emporium, Rosie spotted Sahn-Uzal glaring down at the carnage that was happening outside right now. An extermination was happening right now and he was looking at it through a glass window that showed it all. Around him were many of her other employees cowering in fear, praying that the exterminators won't kill them like they were against anyone they spotted. Although Rosie and Franklin paid a pretty penny to have a powerful spell to be placed around the Emporium, protecting it and its inhabitants, until the end of the Extermination, it was still a horrifying sight, seeing angels coming down and killing anything they saw. She would be lying if she wasn't fearful as well. That the spell wasn't enough and that the angels will come here and kill them all, regardless of her and Franklin's status as Overlords. All but one it seemed.

Walking towards Sahn-Uzal, Rosie spoke up as the Sinner looked at the carnage before him. Once she was beside him, she cast a spell that prevented anyone of her other employees from overhearing her conversation with Sahn-Uzal. She had a feeling that whatever he's going to say is something that'll come be quite unfortunate for both Franklin and her if it reached the wrong people. Once the spell was cast, she spoke.

"I take it you're quite displeased at all this?" Asked Rosie as the two watched the carnage happen together. Sahn-Uzal gave a nod as he looked at the carnage.

"All this murder." Said Sahn-Uzal as he watched his second extermination since coming to Hell. "All this slaughter of his subjects and our lord doesn't do anything about it. He doesn't go out there and kill those that dare inflict harm on those that call him lord and master. He doesn't even try to fight back. Weakling." Rosie just stayed emotionless as Sahn-Uzal vented his frustration and anger, knowing how he felt about how things are run here.

To say that he had some opinions that would have him killed was an understatement. Sahn-Uzal openly said his opinions about Lucifer and how he allowed the exterminations to pass to her and her employees. Such opinions are not unheard of from some Overlords and the upper classes of demons, many of which Lucifer ignores because he doesn't care what they think of his actions, but to have a lowly Sinner spout such beliefs along with some other things is just begging to have someone sent to kill him.

Franklin, upon hearing such beliefs, wanted to fire Sahn-Uzal, believing him to be more trouble than he was worth, but Rosie stayed his hand. There was something about this Sinner. Something that made her intrigued with him. Enough to have him stay with her for now. But when the time came that his usefulness came to an end, she'll personally deal with him.

"Yes, you've openly stated such beliefs to my other employees." Said Rosie as she looked back at her cowardly employees, who were all looking at them and the extermination occurring right now. "Beliefs that would get us all into trouble if you press them further."

"Such beliefs must be done otherwise those angels in Heaven will think us weak." Said Sahn-Uzal as he looked at Rosie. "Allowing all this to happen without even trying to fight back. It tells the angels that we can be pushed around. That they can do what they please with us. That we are nothing more than playthings for them to do what they please with us. And our lord doesn't do anything to change that." Rosie sighed as Sahn-Uzal clenched his fists together.

"You're not the only one to have such opinions and beliefs, Uzal." Said Rosie, as she crossed her arms. "But do you seriously believe that we have any chance against the angels when they have ways to permanently kill us while we don't? Do you believe that we can stand against God itself? Because if you do, then you're a lot more foolish than I initially thought."

"Better to die as a warrior than to live constantly in fear of those that can do what they wish with us." Said Sahn-Uzal. "But you are right. To better protect ourselves, we must become stronger. We must find a power that will give us, or even just put us on even footing, an advantage on the angels. One that will make those angels fear us." Rosie rose an eyebrow at that. He was certainly devoted to his goals, she'll give him that, even if they are unattainable.

Many Overlords and Goetia demons tried to find ways to fend off or even kill the exterminators that come to this realm. None have succeeded. The best that any could achieve was ways to simply stun or incapacitate the exterminators, giving people a chance to escape and perhaps live another day. A way to kill them. That was deemed almost impossible by nearly everyone, even Lucifer, who was formerly an angel of Heaven. So, to have a Sinner try to find a way to do so was laughable if some of the most powerful beings in Hell couldn't do it.

"You're a fool if you believe that you can achieve what some of the most powerful beings in Hell couldn't do with all their resources." Said Rosie, intending to be fully honest with Sahn-Uzal. "If even Lucifer couldn't find a way to stop his brethren, then what hope do you have in finding such a way." Instead of getting mad, like Rosie thought he would, Sahn-Uzal just chuckled.

"That is merely the first step." Said Sahn-Uzal. "When I find a way to fight the angels on more even footing, I will become a lord of the damned in this realm. One that will be a better ruler than that fool Lucifer." After hearing that last sentence, Rosie was glad she had the foresight to prevent anyone from eavesdropping their conversation. Otherwise, someone may send word to Lucifer about what Sahn-Uzal said and they'll be quite a talk from the demon king of hell.

She was about to call him a fool again when she saw the look on Sahn-Uzal's face. The determination. The rage at what he deemed was wrong and the rage at the leaders of Hell for not fighting back at the angels. And the, dare she say it, rage at the injustice that was happening in Hell. It was almost charming and beautiful if such terms can be found in a denizen of Hell. It also made her heartbeat slightly faster at such a, at least in here, righteous soul doing something in this blasted realm. Something drastically new anyway.

Sighing, Rosie decided to indulge Sahn-Uzal in his hopeless quest. At least for now.

"Fine." Said Rosie. "Do what you will in this hopeless quest. Just be sure that anything you do will not come to harm the Emporium in any shape or way. If they do, I'll make sure you regret ever being saved by me. Understood?" Sahn-Uzal nodded.

"Of course." Said Sahn-Uzal. "I would do the same if our positions were reversed. If one is a leader of a people, they must look out for those that entrust them with their lives so that they do not rebel against you. That means dealing with any threats to their safety. Am I not correct?" Rosie just nodded in agreement before leaving Sahn-Uzal. As she did, she dispelled her spell as she walked, intending to talk to Franklin on what to do after the Extermination was over.

As she walked, she thought of telling Sahn-Uzal to be careful but decided against it. He already knew that. There was no need to tell him something he already knew.

Present

Rosie

Breathing out a sigh of pleasure, Rosie excited the private shower of her room, feeling rejuvenated.

"Nothing like a shower to reinvigorate you after some time of walking through filth." Said Rosie as she dried herself out with a nearby towel. After fully drying out her short hair and setting it up in a beautiful style, she put on a bath towel and stepped out of the bathroom, stepping into her hotel room.

It was a massively spacious place with a massive bed all for her. With it was a massive television for her viewing pleasure and a balcony that showed a good view of Imp city. It wasn't as massive as some rooms in Pentagram city, but it was tolerable for her.

Sitting down on her bed, Rosie recalled what Mordekaiser did after he told her his plan.

The man was tenacious. Every free moment he had available was spent on trying to find a way to garner enough power to warrant a threat to the angels. And Rosie won't deny that she may have helped him here and there. Mostly because she decided to pity him and indulged him in his, what she thought then, his pointless quest. During that time, she began to see more of his being. The good traits of him.

Even if he was utterly ruthless and stern, Mordekaiser was, in many ways, a leader that cared for his people and those that he considered allies. He had the utmost respect to her and did whatever she wanted of him. He made sure that nothing he did would endanger her and her operations. She recalled when he overheard a powerful tome used by Prince Stolas of the Goetia demons that could give him the answers that he was looking for. Instead of trying to go for it, he never once tried to go for it, much to her surprise as she was the one that had it be known to him in the first place as a test to see how far he'll go to achieve his goals. Perhaps he knew it was a test and refrained from going after the book. Or perhaps he genuinely cared about those he considered allies and deemed the risks to them not worth it. Or perhaps he wanted to honor his word to her to never bring harm to her person or store because of his wants. Whatever the reasoning, it showed a positive trait of Mordekaiser. Some better than others. And positive traits were hard to come by in Hell. At least in quantities that matter to her.

As the years go by, as the Exterminations continued to occur over and over again with complete impunity, Rosie couldn't help but admire Mordekaiser's utter focus and determination to his goals. He was enraged at all that was happening around him, yet that anger didn't prevent him from focusing on his ultimate goals. That dedication without succumbing to emotions was something that Rosie admired. It was a rare thing amongst the demons of Hell.

Eventually, she decided to help him more and more in his quest, becoming an integral part of his goals. It was all kept under the nose of Franklin, of course. Her coworker would have reacted very negatively if he found out what she was doing with Mordekaiser, even if it was for the betterment of the entirety of Hell. Not that she can blame him. Helping someone critical of Lucifer gain incredible powers that rival the fallen angel himself may not sit well with Lucifer and his supporters. So, he was kept out of the loop along with those that weren't completely loyal to her.

It was during this time that Rosie found herself attracted to Mordekaiser. That drive. That passion. That ruthlessness. Coupled with his "caring" personality and honor, she found herself growing attached to him. It also helped that he had a rather attractive body for a Sinner. Oh yes.

But then her attraction hit the peak when Sahn-Uzal found what he was looking for. The power that allowed him to become what he was today. What made him become the Iron Revenant.

Rosie

"You actually found it?" Asked Rosie in shock as she looked at Sahn-Uzal from her personal room in the Emporium. He had requested that they speak in private. At first, she thought he was requesting more items or funding for his little experiments and attempts to garner power, but no. He told her that he finally found it. He finally found a way to achieve his goal. At least, that was what he was telling her. "You actually found something?"

"Yes." Said Sahn-Uzal with a look of satisfaction. "Through years of persistence searching, I found my desires. A power that will put us on more even footing with the angels of Heaven."

"How did you acquire such knowledge?" Asked Rosie, suspicious of how he acquired such power. It's entirely possible that he was fooled by a deal maker or any demon that loved to fool Sinners just to get laughs, though she honestly doubted that, given how thorough he is, she very must doubt that. Still, she doubted that it was this easy to acquire such power. There always was a catch and she didn't want said catch to affect him negatively. "Who did you acquire it from?"

"It may sound strange, but I recovered it from an ancient book." Said Sahn-Uzal. "I was rummaging through the old texts that you have given when I stumbled upon it. An ancient text that spoke of a power hidden in another realm. A realm older than Hell. And in this realm is a power beyond reckoning. It's all here in this tome." Sahn-Uzal then gave her the book responsible for this conversation. Upon seeing it, Rosie was unsure that she ever gave him such a book.

The book was wrapped in black leather bindings with a blue skull painting in the middle with two green dots for eyes. Though the book was rather standard in terms of how it looked compared to other books in Hell, it still left her uncertain.

She prided herself in her thoroughness and ability to recall even the tiniest of details, amongst other things, and she was certain that she hadn't picked up such a book when she was delivering books to Sahn-Uzal to read on. Yet he claimed it was amongst them. Curious.

"I'm not sure about this book, Uzal." Said Rosie as she inspected the book. "I don't seem to recall ever seeing this book ever. Not even once."

"Perhaps it was a book acquired by your partner Franklin?" Suggested Sahn-Uzal. "He does seem to acquire a wide variety of things from his little ventures."

"That may be true, but he would have told me if he acquired a book like this." Said Rosie with a frown. "I don't think you should follow on anything that book tells you to do. Not until we discern that it's safe to use. At least as safe as one can be with dealing with these sorts of things." Though it looked like Sahn-Uzal wanted to do so, he shook his head no, much to her surprise.

"No." Said Sahn-Uzal with great conviction in his voice. "This is the key to the betterment of Hell. This is the thing that needs to be done. This is what I need to do. Please, allow me to follow the information in this tome. Please." Rosie, upon hearing that, narrowed her eyes.

"Why?" Demanded Rosie. "You've been searching for ways to get more power for decades. Why not wait a little longer?"

"I didn't come here to inform you of this the moment I discovered this book and what it entails, my lord." Said Sahn-Uzal. Rosie's heart fluttered a bit at him calling her lord, but otherwise, she remained unmoved. "When I first discovered this book and what it promises, I studied its contents long and hard. To ensure that it wasn't a trick by another demon. Or something that will end horribly for me or, more importantly, you and your people. And I can safely assure you that it truly gives what it's offering with no unacceptable conditions."

"Unacceptable to my standards? Or yours?" Asked Rosie as she crossed her arms under her bust, still unsure of it all. "Sahn-Uzal, I forbid you from going off to do whatever that book requires you to do until I'm certain that it isn't a danger to you or anyone and anything under my supervision. Is that understood?" Once more, instead of doing what she wanted, Sahn-Uzal refused.

"I'm afraid that I can't do that, my lord." Said Sahn-Uzal, causing Rosie to blink in surprise. "I know it in my heart that this is my destiny. That this is my calling for greatness. I must do this, my lord, and I must do it now, even if you do not approve." Anger at this, Rosie spoke up with displeasure.

"Have you forgotten our deal?" Asked Rosie as her teeth grew sharper. "Absolutely nothing bad must happen to my Emporium from your little attempt to gain power or else I'll make you regret ever be rescued by me. Remember? Do you intend on forgoing that promise just for some power? If you do, well…" Before Rosie could do anything more, Sahn-Uzal did something she never expected from the prideful man. He kneeled before her.

"I know what I swore that day, Rosie." Said Sahn-Uzal as he continued to kneel before her. Not like a knight from Earth bowing to their king, but rather a barbarian warrior that was bowing to one that they acknowledged as their better. "What I swore to do while on my quest for power. That is why, if this is all a lie, that it comes to bring forth consequences to you and your people, I will willingly submit myself to your judgment. To accept whatever punishments, you have for me without question or a plea of mercy. For that is what a fool like me deserves to be fooled so easily and for breaking my deal with you, Rosie." Hearing the sincerity in Sahn-Uzal's voice as well as his submissive act, Rosie blinked in shock and surprise, unsure of how to handle this. Eventually, she spoke up.

"Why offer yourself up if you fail?" Asked Rosie, this behavior puzzling to her. "Why even risk everything you have in Hell just to do this? You don't know many people in Hell nor did you bother to attempt to make friends with the other workers. You only really interacted with me. Why do all this for a people that you don't know or even care?" Sahn-Uzal just stayed silent for a few seconds before speaking.

"I do this because this realm is in dire need of a new power. A new leader." Said Sahn-Uzal. "This afterlife and that of Heaven is flawed. People stay here in Hell in unacceptable conditions with very little way to improve or advance in this existence. The angels send warriors against our people, killing them with no remorse and no regard for their surroundings. And our leaders do nothing to stop them, making them look weak and pitiful in the eyes of their people and the angels. This must end. Even if the threat of fading into obscurity is present, I will attempt to change this cycle of death and weakness in this realm. And if I die in this attempt, either by your hand or my own foolishness, then so be it. Such is the price for failure and stupidity for my people." Rosie stayed silent as she processed all this. If she was anyone else, she would be laughing at Sahn-Uzal, but Rosie didn't. If anything, her heartbeat rose significantly at hearing his reasoning. It was…admirable, a rare thing to find in the denizens of Hell. Seeing the sincerity in his form as well as how serious he was, Rosie sighed before asking him to get up.

"Are you sure about this?" Asked Rosie. "If you die from this, no one will care if you die or what you attempted to do. You'll just fade in history, like so many others before you."

"Such is the price to pay to do something of this magnitude, my lord." Said Sahn-Uzal as he looked at Rosie directly. "If we do not risk our lives to achieve success, then we are doomed to never succeed in our lives." Rosie just slowly nodded in agreement, knowing full well that he was right.

"Just be careful." Said Rosie as she looked at Sahn-Uzal with a hint of worry. "I don't wish to have you end up dead. Not when you're one of the few decent people in this realm."

"I make no promises, Rosie." Said Sahn-Uzal. "However, if I do not return, I must say this. I will never forget you for saving my life. And I also will not forget you for helping me in this quest when you didn't have to. Because of that, you helped me get this far. If I do succeed in this endeavor, I want you to know that it was all thanks to you. For better or worse, I will always remember how you saved my life that day and I will never forget you for that." Rosie couldn't help but blush at all that, her pale cheeks turning black from the rush of blood. As her heartbeat grew, Rosie's admiration for Sahn-Uzal grew as well. She also noticed how handsome he actually was. Black hair as dark as the dark sky. Strong muscles and a strong face to go with it. And those fierce green eyes that showed determination and ambition. It churned a hunger that she had never felt before. A hunger that she won't deny that she wanted to satiate. And there was only one way to satiate it. However, she refrained from doing so, believing it would be degrading of her to do such a thing this soon. Instead, she placed a hand on Sahn-Uzal's chest and bid him good luck. He gave her a look of confusion at this display of affection before biding her goodbye, both for the day and potentially forever as well. At that was what they thought that day.

Present

Rosie gave a giggle of amusement as she remembered the panic that echoed through all of Hell when Sahn-Uzal, now named Mordekaiser, defeated Lucifer and forged his kingdom using some power that no one knew, even Satan himself. At first, she didn't know that Mordekaiser was Sahn-Uzal, but after hearing of what Mordekaiser did and what he spouted out to Lucifer and the other leaders of Hell, she knew that it was Sahn-Uzal. He got all that he wanted and possibly more as well.

He built a fine, powerful new kingdom in Hell. The other leaders of Hell both feared and respected him along with the angels in Heaven. He was trading with other denizens of Hell. And he had a powerful army at his beck and call. Yes, possibly a lot more than he ever dreamed of.

She then recalled the first time they met privately after he transformed into Mordekaiser. And how he first proposed to her to be his queen. Sometime after his first victory over the angels.

Thousands of years ago

"You look rather…big." Said Rosie as she looked at Mordekaiser. Sahn-Uzal was taller than her by a bit, but Mordekaiser was even more so. Towering over her by a significant margin. The two were meeting up in private in one of Rosie's many private chambers in the Emporium. A meeting that was a long time coming. She had met Mordekaiser before, but that was only in meetings with other Overlords and Lucifer was present, so she couldn't really talk with him alone. "Was the height increase really necessary?"

"I find that my height intimidates those that try to waste my time." Said Mordekaiser. The dark and deep voice sent chills down her spine. Chills that she found thrilling. "Though I will admit it puts me at a disadvantage when I wish to conduct negotiations." Rosie smiled at that.

"Exactly." Asked Rosie as she placed a hand on her hip. "Perhaps you should have told me your plan before you executed it. That way you won't be so big that you're going to make people defecate themselves just by looking at you. Even more so with that intimidating aura and that mist coming out of your body."

"Is it all bothering you?" Asked Mordekaiser as said mist was coming out of his body. "If so, I can attempt to rectify it."

"No. No." Said Rosie as she shook her head. "It'll take some time to get used to, but you don't need to do such a thing for me. Besides, it suits you." She then began to trace the upper chest of Mordekaiser.

"I see." Said Mordekaiser as she kept tracing his chest. Eventually, he spoke. "I assume that Franklin knows nothing of my ascension?"

"No." Said Rosie. "After you left, I told Franklin that I killed you for raising my ire one day. He bought it, thinking you overstepped your boundaries one day. He scolded me for hiring someone like you and letting him spout out his rhetoric freely, saying it will eventually lead him to do something stupid." Mordekaiser just hummed at that before changing the subject.

"Before we begin, I must ask you to forgive me for not setting up this meeting sooner." Said Mordekaiser. "I had to finish setting building the Iron Bastion as well as to conduct celebrations amongst my people for our victory against the angels. Then there were the negotiations with Lucifer and other demonic leaders for the amendment of the treaty of Iron. And finally, I had to make sure that nothing of my origins be traced back to you, as per our agreement so long ago." Rosie hummed in understanding before speaking up.

"Understandable." Said Rosie before speaking up again. "Still, it's good to see you again, even if you're completely unrecognizable." Mordekaiser just stayed silent as he looked at Rosie. "Tell me, do you want me to refer you as Sahn-Uzal still or Mordekaiser now?"

"If you wish to use my mortal name in private, then I see no reason to stop you." Said Mordekaiser. "Just be warned that it may lead to my enemies trying to attack you because of our affiliation with each other."

"Duly noted." Said Rosie, agreeing with him. She knew plenty of demons that hated Mordekaiser, seeing him as an upstart, and wanted to hurt him in any way possible. "Moving on, is there a reason you called for this private meeting?"

"Yes." Said Mordekaiser. "As you know, I'm not exactly the most…diplomatic individual." Rosie just nodded at that, recalling some meetings where he nearly got into fights with Lucifer and a few other demonic lords and princes. Heck, there was even a betting pool amongst the Overlords on who will fight Mordekaiser first in a meeting. "The individuals I've chosen to be my lieutenants so far are also rather poor in the fields of diplomacy. In battle, they are fierce and dependable, but in the field of diplomacy, they fare poorly. And Karthus is only one individual. He can't do everything." Rosie chuckled at that.

"And you want me to give you tips on such fields?" Asked Rosie as she looked at Mordekaiser with her black eyes, placing a dainty hand on her chest. The answer she got surprised her, however.

"Actually, I thought that it would be more prudent if you would become my queen." Said Mordekaiser, causing Rosie to widen her eyes in shock. Once she recovered, Mordekaiser spoke again. "Let me explain. As you know, I owe all I am to you. None of what I've achieved since becoming this will have been possible without you. The angels wouldn't fear me. Lucifer wouldn't be my rival. And the Immortal Bastion wouldn't exist without you. Such a debt demands a reward of equal level. That and Karthus said it would be prudent to acquire a queen to further legitimize our position in Hell. So, I figured you would be the perfect candidate. Not only will I fulfill my debt to you, but also my people receive a queen that is an excellent foil to me. One that knows when to be diplomatic and when to be ruthless to her enemies and allies."

"I see." Said Rosie as she placed a hand on her left cheek, thinking hard on whether to accept his proposal. It sounded all good, which was something that she was wary of, as she should be, but considering it was coming from a trusted friend. "I assume that there will be consequences of accepting this proposal."

"Of course." Said Mordekaiser. "Lucifer will probably strip you of your Overlord title and Franklin will cut all ties with you, giving him sole control of the Emporium and all its assets beyond those completely in your control. And I have no doubt that people will be sending assassins to kill you for your status as my queen, despite it being a stupid thing to do." Rosie nodded at all that in agreement, believing those were the most prominent things to consider. Humming, Rosie eventually decided that to ask Mordekaiser to give her time to decide on this. She needed time to both consider the pros and cons of accepting his proposal. And whether if she can abandon all she worked hard for to gain such a powerful position in Hell's hierarchy, even more so than her position as Overlord.

When she made this request to him, Mordekaiser said to take all the time she needed, claiming that he understood that a decision of this magnitude was something that needed to be considered for a long time. Thanking him, Rosie bid him goodbye, which caused Mordekaiser to also say the same thing before opening a portal to the Immortal Bastion. Smiling, Rosie left her private room to do speak with Franklin on ways to improve profit margins.

Present

If only she chooses to accept it back then and there, then things would be so much more different.

With a sigh of sadness, Rosie put down the glass of wine she was drinking from as she recalled how she first met the angel, Kayle.

Past

It had been three weeks since Mordekaiser made his proposal for her to be his queen and right now, she was quite open to the idea.

She had long thought it over and decided that it would be most profitable for her to accept his proposal. Not only would she become the wife of one of the most powerful beings in Hell, but she'll become a powerful lady of Hell, influencing things far better than what she can do currently as an Overlord. She'll also be able to be with that hunky Mordekaiser, who managed to steal her heart with his actions. It also seemed that he had since mellowed out since she saw him as Sahn-Uzal. Whatever powers he discovered must have taught him patience or how to remain calm under stressful situations, if what she heard what he did against Lucifer were true. That or running an Empire helped him mellow out. Either way, he was someone that she wanted for herself.

Some would call her love lust instead, but honestly, even if it didn't work out between them, they wouldn't care. They both gain something out of their marriage. She would gain so much power and influence in Hell and he would gain a capable diplomat he so needs.

With her decision made, she moved to summon an Imp to send forth a message to Mordekaiser that she accepted his proposal.

Before she could, however, she sensed the forming of a portal directly into her personal chambers. A portal that was angelic in nature.

Widening her eyes, she saw a portal forming completely above her, and out came an angel with golden armor. An angel with a sword in hand.

Seeing the angelic sword, Rosie backed away as the angel floated towards her, wings flapping. Hitting a wall, Rosie tried to put up a brave face and smile like usual, but she couldn't. All she could manage was a whimper of fear.

This angel had a weapon that can permanently kill her, much like the weapons of the exterminators, but unlike them, she wore golden armor, and her golden eyes were glaring at her. This wasn't an exterminator. This was a full-blown angel warrior. One that was trained to be a guardian of heaven. And she was coming right towards her.

Not even wondering why such a warrior was here right now and not during an extermination day, Rosie gulp when the angel placed her sword at her neck.

Staring down at the Overlord before her, the angel spoke.

"I am the angel, Kayle." Said the angel as she looked at the Overlord, who was currently looking at the sword at her neck. "And I am here to speak with you in regards to your relations with the Iron Revenant, Mordekaiser." Upon hearing that last sentence, Rosie widened her eyes in shock. How did this angel know about her history with Mordekaiser?

"What do you mean?" Asked Rosie as she got the courage to speak. "I know as much as everyone else in Hell about Mordekaiser. I don't know anything beyond what he told us." It was a lie, of course. She knew plenty of Mordekaiser, but she needed to know just how much this angel knew of her relationship with Mordekaiser.

"Do not lie to me, demon spawn." Said Kayle with anger as she pressed her sword closer to Rosie's throat. The Overlord winced as the sword touched her neck cover, placing it ever closer to her throat. "I know that you had a hand in his rise to power. And I know that he had recently came to you with a marriage proposal. So do not claim that you know little of his origins." So, she knew that much, but not how she saved him or their close connection with each other. That's good. But still, she worried about how this angel knew as much as she did. Both she and Mordekaiser had been extra careful on where their private discussions and talks take place and ensure that no one was listening in on them. So, how could this angel know about any of this?

Deciding to placate the angel, Rosie cooperated with her.

"Okay, I understand." Said Rosie. "Now what is it that you want?"

"I want you to end the life of Mordekaiser." Said the angel, causing Rosie to widen her eyes in horror and shock. "But since you're too weak to do such a thing, I must settle with you denying his marriage proposal. If I can't smite him from existence, then weakening his empire will suffice until I can."

"And what makes you think that he won't find another demon lady or man to take as his own." Said Rosie. "I'm just one of the countless demons in this realm. He can go find someone else."

"Then for your life, that better not happen." Said Kayle as she glared down at the demon Overlord, causing her to gulp. "Tell him no or else you die." Kayle then opened up her free hand and summoned a glass orb filled with holy light. Before Rosie could do anything, Kayle roughly placed it before her eyes. "This thing will release it's contents and rip you apart from the insides. I will not remove it until you agree to my terms. Is that understood?" Fearing for her life, Rosie nodded, satisfying the angel, albeit only a bit. With that, Kayle dispelled her sword before roughing to grab Rosie's jaw, forcing it open. Rosie then widened her eyes in realization before the orb was forcibly put down in her mouth. Her muffled screams couldn't be heard from anyone as the angel had the forethought to soundproof the room with a spell before entering.

Present

"That wasn't the most painful of things I had to do in my life, but it was still not comfortable." Thought Rosie as she rubbed her throat as she remembered those events. It wasn't the most sizable thing that orb, but it still hurt like hell when it went down her throat and to her stomach.

But the pain she felt as it went down her insides was nothing when she did what the angel requested and denied Mordekaiser's proposal.

It took a few more weeks to do so for a myriad of reasons. First, she had to put on a brave face before Mordekaiser, so he won't suspect the angel's involvement in her decision and he was quite an observant man. She also had to come up with a believable reason or else he'll get suspicious and investigate what was going on, thus eventually leading to her gruesome death with the orb in her stomach. She heard what holy light does to demons and she rather avoid such a death, especially if it's coming from inside her.

When she finally believed she was ready, she personally went to him to the Immortal Bastion. Both to garner some supplies from Mordekaiser's people and to deliver her verdict. Her very forced verdict.

Mordekaiser was more than a little disappointed at her answer. Though one couldn't tell, she could see that her answer disappointed him a great deal, hurting her. For a brief moment, she wanted to take it all back and tell him the truth, but then she remembered the ball of holy light in her, kept hidden from Mordekaiser and his top magic users by a spell. She had been more than a little surprised that he allowed her to take the supplies she wanted from his people, though looking back, she knew it was done rather reluctantly.

Kayle had been pleased with the results. However, it wasn't enough to make her remove the orb from Rosie. Kayle claimed that it would stay there as a way to keep her in line. To prevent her from ever telling Mordekaiser of the truth. Not without killing her at least. And so, for the next two or so thousand years, she had that thing in her stomach, kept in pristine condition with magic. A lump of holy light that can kill her in one of the most painful ways possible for a demon Overlord. If she didn't know any better, she would call Kayle a fallen angel for doing such things just to get back at Mordekaiser.

She tried to figure out, during those years, why Kayle was doing all this to her and how she learned of Rosie's involvement with Mordekaiser's ascension, but nothing came up. It was like there was nothing there to find. Either Kayle was good at hiding her tracks or something else was involved. A higher power like an archangel perhaps?

Whatever it was, things went on like that for a long time. She ran her Emporium with Franklin, running things as usual. Upgrading and expanding the store and its available merchandise whenever possible or when it's profitable to do so. During this time, Mordekaiser sent marriage proposals to her time and time again. Each and every time she declined, giving him the same reasons that she did the first time. That she liked her position as Overlord and that it would be far better for him to have an ally in Lucifer's courts than to have her as his queen. Each and every time he accepted her reasoning. Each and every time, it hurt her to lie to him the way she did. It also made her lust grow for him when she hears of him denying other demonic lords, mostly females though a few males were amongst them, tried to court him in order to gain more power. Each and every time he denied them, saying he did not have time for fools who only wanted power and that he'll only marry one that has earned his respect. She had been present during some of those denials. And she could have sworn that he was eyeing her at the corner of his vision as he spoke his reasoning, causing her admiration and lust for him to grow as well as her pain for denying him her hand.

Eventually, things took a hit for the worst when her lust and want for the Iron Revenant hit their peak over two hundred years ago.

Two hundred and two years ago

Rosie

"Mordekaiser." Thought Rosie lustfully as she saw him, yet again, denying a demonic lord, a Goetia demon bird lady, his hand. And yet again, she swore he was looking at her from the corners of his vision as he spoke his reasoning for the denial.

Today a party was being held at Lucifer's mansion. It was to celebrate the day of Lucifer's coronation as King of Hell. As a result, all Overlords and Goetia demons were summoned to attend. Along with them were the Seven deadly sins and Satan was rumored to attend as well. Oh and Mordekaiser was here as well, forced to because of the treaty of Iron. And once again, he was confronted by a demonic Overlord attempting to gain more power by marrying him. And once again, he was denying them.

"I will not dance or marry a demonic whore that only wants power." Said Mordekaiser as he glared down at the Goetia lady, causing her to squeak indignantly. "So, unless you wish to become a stain on Lucifer's floors, get out of my sight." The demon lady wanted to argue with him, but when Mordekaiser intensified his glare, she backed down. Huffing indignantly, the bird lady left, trying to maintain some dignity after being rejected. Along the way, another Goetia demon, another bird lady with white feathers and red eyes, smiled as the first Goetia left the floor.

Once the bird demonette was out of his sight, Mordekaiser walked towards one of the refreshments stands in Lucifer's palace, his guards in tow. It was there that he spotted Rosie, drinking some fine wine, wearing a beautiful black and red dress with grey lacings. Seeing her, he willed his guards to give them some privacy, which they did.

Once they were alone at the refreshment table, Mordekaiser spoke.

"Did you witness my refusal of that demonic whore that pretends to be a leader?" Asked Mordekaiser rhetorically as he looked down at Rosie, who was holding back her growing lust for him.

"Yes, I did." Said Rosie as she tried to drink her remaining wine, trying to ignore the growing sense of want in her system as well as the orb of holy light. "How often do you deal with such beings?"

"More than enough times that I wish to kill them all." Said Mordekaiser truthfully. "They do nothing but waste their currency on their whims and pleasures. Not trying to improve our situation. Unlike you, they have the power and more than enough wealth to do whatever they please as well as invest in things that must be done. But they don't. They rather spend it all for their own personal gains than to invest some into improving our situation in Hell. Like fools." Rosie wanted to point out that she was also not helping out, but decided against it.

"I would pity you if I didn't have to deal with them as well." Said Rosie. Much as she tried to, she couldn't put down the anger she felt at having other demons try to use Mordekaiser for their own gains rather than because they love him. It drove her lust up crazily. Her lust and anger were getting to the point that she was shaking her wine glass, causing her to try to refill it to get something to calm it down. "Having to deal with those fools almost constantly wanting to use you to gain more power or to use you like a trophy wife or husband. It's annoying to deal with, especially when we're smarter than them by a large margin." Mordekaiser nodded in agreement before speaking up again.

"Perhaps, to avoid those people in the future, become one." Said Mordekaiser as he looked at her with his bright greenish-blue eyes, causing her heart to skip a beat at seeing them stare down at her black ones. "So, we don't have to deal with those idiots together." Her mouth moved to say yes, but she remembered Kayle and her threats along with the orb in her stomach.

Speaking of the angel, before she left the Emporium for the party, Kayle arrived and did something to her. The fact she was able to go straight to Hell without Lucifer's knowing spoke boundaries of her power, which was the reason that she never told Mordekaiser of her and hiding in the Immortal Bastion for protection in fear that she'll just come there and kill her without anyone knowing. That and she was afraid of what the angel will do to her employees if she can't find the Overlord. Something that kept her up at night.

Moving back to what the angel did, whatever Kayle did was something that left Rosie nervous as whatever Kayle did, the Overlord felt nothing as she conducted…whatever she did to the Overlord. At least nothing she didn't pick on. She just bathed her in some light and that was it. When Rosie asked what she did, the angel simply glared at her and told her to leave, commanding her like she was a disobedient Hellhound.

This and the things mentioned before caused her anger to grow. It grew enough that she was gripping her wine glass with shaking hands and causing cracks to form. Mordekaiser saw this and looked at her with a hint of curiosity.

Ignoring Mordekaiser for a moment, Rosie recalled all her hatred for the angel that dared interfered with her life and how she wanted to rip her apart and torture her for all eternity for what she put her through. What she prevented the demon from having. What Mordekaiser wanted to have. What he deserved for all that he has done for Hell and continued to do so. What…

She couldn't think anymore when her glass wine finally broke under the pressure she gave it. Breaking into a dozen pieces, some of which embedded themselves into the palm of her hand, the broken glass sent wine all over the place, including her beautiful dress.

Cursing at this, Rosie looked down at the dress, where wine was stained at it, and then at her hand, where glass shards were embedded at her skin. Before she could do anything about it, Mordekaiser placed a hand on her shoulder. Looking up, she saw Mordekaiser motion for her to follow him. Deciding to trust him. She walked with him out of the party, where no one noticed her little incident.

Leading her to an empty room, Mordekaiser formed a barrier around them, preventing anyone from peering into them by accident. After that barrier was formed, he began to tend to her injury. Removing the glass shards with a care that Rosie never thought he had, Mordekaiser soon began to heal the wound, using the power granted to him by forces she had no knowledge of. Rosie watched with a little amazement as the green mist his people are known for healed her hand, closing the wounds on it as well as removing the blood around them. Once he was finished, Rosie took back her hand, examining it.

"Impressive display." Said Rosie as she examined her hand for any imperfection. "I never thought your mist can be used to heal wounds."

"Hmph. A reasonable assumption." Said Mordekaiser as Rosie finished her examination. "Now, going back to our conversation, I take you were going to refuse."

"Yes." Said Rosie reluctantly, though she did a good job in hiding it. "You already know the reasoning, there's no need for me to repeat them." Mordekaiser just grunted in frustration, wondering why he even bothered with asking in the first place.

At first, when he made that proposal, it was done out of logic and a belief that it would benefit all. However, as the years grew on and she continually refused his proposals without telling him to stop he might add, which confused him, he realized he grew feelings for her.

He didn't know when exactly, but he had developed feelings of love for her. Feelings that weren't present to those he bedded when he was amongst the living and he bedded many.

When he asked Karthus about these feelings, the lich told him that it was because Rosie continually refused to accept his proposals and do so with reasonability. The lich told him that another possibility existed that, because she was different from other women he had seen in his living realm, where she actually ruled over subjects rather than be ruled, he was an oddity to him. And that leads to the interest of wanting her for himself. It also helped, the lich added, that she was different from other leaders of Hell. She actually had a brain. Though he never told any of his lieutenants of Rosie's part in creating the Immortal Bastion, Mordekaiser had to admit that Karthus may be right in both possibilities.

When he was amongst the living, women were considered to be lower than males. Made by the gods to be servants to warriors. To tend to a warrior's needs and to breed even stronger warriors until their death or when they've been deemed useless.

Mordekaiser, without any regret, would admit that he once held similar thoughts and treated women like servants and cattle, including those he sired offspring from. He kept having those beliefs until he met Rosie and subsequently hired by her. At first, he was angered at having to serve a woman, but after a while and seeing how effectively she ran things with and without Franklin, he had to admit she changed his views. It also helped that she defeated him in combat when he spouts out those beliefs to her face when she asked him how he felt working with a woman. While she wouldn't be able to defeat him now that he was Mordekaiser, the Iron Revenant acknowledged her victory against him and that it changed his views. Plus, he had to admit Rosie was quite attractive with her slim figure and beautiful face. Most women he bedded didn't have her figure and face. Not both at the same time at least.

Plus, he wouldn't deny that she had quite the fire within her that made her quite attractive in his eyes. A fire that was rare to find amongst the denizens of Hell.

So, it frustrated him that she kept denying him his proposals. And like he said, he was not sure why she didn't tell him to stop sending those proposals. If she merely told him to stop asking for her hand, he would respect her wishes and stop, but she never did, leaving him confused. Surely, she would have asked after the first few times. So, why didn't she? Mordekaiser was about to ask her that when Rosie placed a hand on his chest.

"Mordekaiser." Said Rosie in a seductive voice, looking directly at him with seductive eyes, causing him to look down at her. "I have an alternative to marriage. Why don't we make ourselves undesirable to the upper echelons of Hell? By interloping right here and now." Hearing such a thing caused Mordekaiser to look at her in shock. Interlope? Here. Right now? Before he could even ask her why she would ask such a thing, Rosie was already in the process of removing her dress, revealing the lacy, dark red shapewear underneath.

Once her dress was removed, she embraced Mordekaiser while tracing her fingers at his lower abdomen's rib cage. Before he could even speak about her strange behavior, Rosie jumped up and wrapped her arms around his neck. Off the ground, Rosie looked at him with seductive eyes while the Iron Revenant was processing all this. As this was happening, Mordekaiser wasn't sure what to do.

For once in his life, he had no idea what to do. He both didn't want to and wanted to do what Rosie suggested, which was interlope, thus causing them to be seen as undesirable to the other leaders of Hell. Though sex laws, if any, were pretty lax in Hell, having sex in a celebration for Lucifer's coronation as king of Hell in his own home was something that would no doubt raise a lot of ire from the king of Hell. Enough that people will leave him alone, at least for a little while. But that may piss Lucifer off too much that a war may start between him and Mordekaiser, something that the Iron Revenant and his advisors didn't want as that would remove any progress, they made in establishing relations with the other denizens of Hell, thus making it harder for them to unite Hell. Well, advisors that weren't Hecarim and Thresh anyway.

As he wondered what to do, Rosie suddenly kissed his helmet, specifically where his mouth would be, while removing her high heels with one hand. At this, feeling the lust and passion in Rosie's mouth, Mordekaiser decided to just go with it and kissed her back.

Kissing her back as best he could, Mordekaiser placed a hand on Rosie's back as he deepened the kiss. As this was happening, the mist that emitted from his armor, flowed out more and wrapped around Rosie, sending chills from her back. Rather than shiver, Rosie moaned in pleasure as the mist wrapped around her. She didn't even realize that the mist dissolved her shapewear until the mist touched her bare breasts.

Gasping out at this, Rosie broke the kiss to look down at her bare body. She then looked at Mordekaiser before grinning and kissing him again. From there, things took off as moans filled the room as the two interloped.

Present

"Who knew that mist could do so many things." Said Rosie with a blush as she recalled that day. That pleasurable day. "And who knew such a brute can be brutal and gentle at the same time." That passionate love-making almost made it worth knowing that the whole thing was Kayle's plan.

She placed a love spell on Rosie before she left that, once activated will make her, wish to fuck Mordekaiser at the first opportunity. The reason for it was because Kayle wanted her to become pregnant with Mordekaiser's child. She wasn't satisfied with having her separated from Mordekaiser, no, she wanted his own child to be taken away from him as well. To never be known to him and never be loved by him.

When she heard this firsthand from the angel, she wanted so badly to kill her right then and there. And she nearly did, but the orb in her body stopped her as well as the child that was no doubt growing inside her. Eventually, the angel made a deal with her. She'll remove the orb from the demon Overlord and never implement it again if she kept Mordekaiser from ever discovering his child and if she kept refusing to be with him. Enraged at the deal, she refused the deal, but the angel forced it upon her anyway. Kayle then roughly ripped the orb from her body, quite painfully she might add, before leaving, causing Rosie to nearly destroy a nearby vanity in rage.

With the way the angel mistreated her, Rosie sometimes suspected that she wasn't an angel at all, but she never got a chance to find evidence to back such claims. Both because she lacked a way to find dirt on the angel and because of work.

And so, she grew a child without Franklin's knowledge. Keeping herself out of both Franklin's sight and the public until the baby came out of her, to which she had her most loyal servants, the demon twins, Helska and Dryska, handle the procedure. That child became Sahn-Ikal, her son.

Remembering how she held her child, Rosie recalled how she cried both tears of joy and despair at his birth. One because he was born and the other because his father wasn't there to see him.

And as the years went by, she kept her son a secret from Mordekaiser and the public for if the public realized what he was, that will lead Mordekaiser to know and that will not end well for both her and her son. As much as Rosie wanted to just hide in the Immortal Bastion, where would be the most protected, she feared that it wouldn't be enough. If a single angel can summon herself to Hell without Lucifer knowing, then it'll be child's play for her to kill her son, who she grew attached to as any mother should. So, for the past two hundred years, he was hidden, known only to those she completely trusted and those that she had complete loyalty of. At least until recently when he revealed himself to the princess in a brazen show of defiance to Kayle and the angels. So much like his father.

And now she was on the run from Kayle. Fortunately, it seemed that the angel gave up her pursuits as it was far better and easier for the angel to kill her on the streets of Imp city rather than in a high-end hotel. Whether or not it was because she had something else to do is irrelevant. What is relevant is that she needed a game plan.

She could go to Mordekaiser and tell him everything now, but she remembered the threat of war and she wasn't sure if it was a good idea to wage war on Heaven now when people were still recovering from the recent extermination. Mordekaiser only had one kingdom full of warriors and she doubted that was enough to handle all of Heaven by itself. Especially when their allies don't have effective weapons against the angels.

So that was out of the picture, but then again, she could convince him to be rational about this. To think things through and try to acquire evidence that will turn Kayle's own people against her.

However, maybe Kayle wants her to go to the Immortal Bastion. So she can ambush her on her way there and kill her that way. And then implicate Mordekaiser in her murder, thus causing war to form in Hell itself, leaving them all vulnerable to another extermination.

Sighing in frustration, Rosie pondered on what to do that won't lead to disaster. After some pondering, Rosie realized that nothing that she can do will bring forth war, except to hide for the rest of her life, something that she was sick of doing. As she was about to wallow in the hopelessness of her situation, she remembered the words that both her son and Mordekaiser said to her when she advised against rash actions. That one must take risks in order to succeed in life or to improve their standings in it.

Realizing that she must take risks in order to get out of this situation, Rosie decided that enough was enough. It was finally time to take a stand against that impudent angel Kayle. But before she can do so, she needed to get some things first. Things that will help in what she was going to do.

As she was thinking of how to acquire them, she was being observed by a bunch of Imps. Imps that were now forced into this mess because of the very man that she was attached to. Imps that were also, unbeknownst to them, involved in a chain of events that'll affect both Heaven and Hell.

Before anyone comments, pointing it out, I'll be updating some chapters to better fit in the timeline placed by this chapter. (Yeah, I'm awful at timelines.)
