Chapter 16

Gwen

"The kingdom of Camevor was a human kingdom formed during the time of knights." Said Gwen as she started her story. "They were led by a young king named Viego." Upon saying that name, Gwen's expression turned angry for a moment before it went away. It was noticed by Mordekaiser, however, and it intrigued him. "I don't know how his rule went, but he made many enemies during his rule, many of which came to be when he married a young seamstress named Isolde." After hearing Gwen say that name, Mordekaiser sensed her feeling a sense of pain, longing, and sorrow within the bluenette. Whoever this Isolde was, she was something that this girl cared for deeply.

"I assume this was because she was a commoner?" Guessed Mordekaiser. If this was the time of knights, then little trivial things such as noble blood and other such nonsense was in effect in Camevor. Such trivial identification came with foolish rules such as only being able to marry another noble or in their own family if they wish to continue their noble lineage. Such things were foolish. Why limit the gene pools that one can use when all that matters is continuing one's legacy? Such rules did not exist during his time in the living. A simple soldier can take any he wished as a mate, even his tribes' leader themselves, so long as he's proven worthy. He would know. He had proven himself worthy of many females during his time amongst the living.

"Yes." Said Gwen with a frown. "But Viego didn't care. He loved Isolde. He saw to her every whim. And she loved him back. Because he was everything that she dreamed of. To be married to a young prince and become a princess." Thresh began to chuckle at hearing all this, finding it all amusing, knowing what was going to happen. Ignoring that, Mordekaiser spoke up.

"And you saw all this?" Asked Mordekaiser, intending to also get to the bottom of why Gwen had only a part of a soul. "You saw how this all ended in tragedy?" Gwen looked down at the floor in pain. Warwick saw this and placed a hand on her shoulder in a display of care. Returning it with a smile directed at the wolfman, Gwen looked back at Mordekaiser and spoke.

"Yes." Said Gwen before biting her lower lip and speaking about her true origins. "For I was a doll that Isolde made when she was young." All Mordekaiser did when he heard this information was simply tapping his fingers against his throne. Seeing that he wasn't reacting, Gwen continued. "I…I was created to serve as a way for Isolde to have a friend. She had only a few before she met Viego and she had to abandon them when she was taken away from her old home. I saw everything that happened between Isolde and Viego. How they loved each other. How they cared for one another. And how they thought of starting a family together. I was happy that my creator was so happy, even when she never played with me again ever since she met Viego." Mordekaiser sensed some level of sadness from her at that fact but ignored it. Instead, he asked a simple question.

"So what changed?" Demanded Mordekaiser. "If you were but a doll, why are you now amongst the living. Why do you only have a portion of a soul?"

"I told you before, I don't know." Said Gwen honestly. "One moment, I was just a simple doll and the next I was on the shores of the United States." Mordekaiser frowned at this, sensing the truth from her. Though she answered truthfully, her answer left him with more questions. For instance, how could a doll last long enough for it to become what this Gwen is now?

For all intents and purposes, it was at least over a thousand years since she was made. How could a doll last that long without succumbing to time? Looking at Gwen, Mordekaiser eventually asked her to explain what happened to her creator and this Viego.

"They…they died." Said Gwen with pain in her voice. "Isolde died to the poison blade of an assassin. And Viego. He died trying to bring her back to life using waters from a place called the Blessed Isles. Waters said to be from Eden itself. It was an act that cost him much along with all those present around him. And Camevor fell as a result. That's all that I know about my origins. I promise you." Mordekaiser stayed silent at that, processing this. Gwen stared at the massive revenant for a few brief moments before he spoke.

"If that is the case, then why did you try to join that organization. D.H.O.R.K.S. For all intents and purposes, they are an apathetic and weak organization that has no idea how to do their job properly." Said Mordekaiser. "Why would you join such an organization?" Gwen tapped her heels together, nervous, before speaking up.

"Because I wanted to speak to you." Said Gwen, causing Mordekaiser to be surprised.

"Really?" Asked Mordekaiser, surprise evident in his tone. "Tell me then. How did you know of me prior to this day? My agents in the living world are kept hidden at all times. No one knows of their presence nor does the living have adequate ways to know of their presence." The answer he received surprised Mordekaiser even more.

"Because there is someone on Earth that is similar to you on Earth." Said Gwen, surprising even Thresh with that statement. "Someone that knows of you and wanted me to find you. I don't know why, but she wanted me to find you and tell you of him." Mordekaiser pondered on this, having never thought something like this would occur. Someone knew about him in the living world and wanted to meet with him? Intrigued, he asked Gwen if she knew where this person was. "I don't know. All I know about her is that she knows you and that she wanted me to find you. We just met once and she told me about you." Pondering more on this, Mordekaiser made a note to inform his spies to find this woman and bring to the Bastion alive. He must know how this woman knew about him and how he met this Gwen without him knowing about it.

Looking down at the girl and her werewolf friend, Mordekaiser decided that was enough for today. He can talk about the one called Warwick later. He had matters to attend to.

"Very well." Said Mordekaiser as he looked at both Gwen and Warwick. "You've satiated my curiosity for now. So, you are now free to explore my kingdom. For the time being." Upon hearing that, Warwick spoke up.

"So, we're now residents of Hell?" Asked Warwick, his teeth all bared up. This caused the guards around him to ready their weapons, but Mordekaiser was amused.

"Yes." Said Mordekaiser. "Both of you are fascinating to me and you both have proven your worth in a fight, especially the girl." He then looked directly at Gwen, making her feel uncomfortable at being the center of Mordekaiser's undivided attention. "Though you have failed to beat Stolas, you did manage to make him bleed. Such power is rare among the living. Rare enough that I wish to have both of you in my command. Whether or not you wish to serve me or not." Warwick growled at that, but otherwise refrained from attacking. "For now, you two will not be tasked to kill anyone in my name but know this. You will serve me loyally for the rest of your lives or suffer my wrath." Gwen glared at that, unhappy with that statement. So was Warwick, but the two didn't do anything else, knowing just how powerful he really was. Satisfied with their complacency, Mordekaiser ordered them away from his presence. Once both Gwen and Warwick were gone, Mordekaiser spoke to Thresh.

"Tell me, Thresh. Is this Viego a problem that I will have to deal with in the future?" Asked Mordekaiser as he looked at his lieutenant, having lied about never knowing about Camevor to Gwen. Thresh just laughed out loud before speaking out.

"Not at all, my lord." Said Thresh as he recalled those events long ago. The ones that killed both him and Hecarim long ago. "That fool died along with all those present when he tried to revive his wife. Anything of worth that died that day was collected by you, my lord. Viego was not amongst them along with his wife. I'm sure of it. Otherwise, he would be here amongst us, yes? Whether as a pawn for you to use or as stone for our kingdom." Mordekaiser just narrowed his eyes at that.

"…Of course." Said Mordekaiser after a moment. "But should he somehow reappear, I will destroy him or bend him to my will. Understood?" Thresh simply smiled at that.

"Of course, you will." Said Thresh. "For no one else but you can command the Immortal Bastion and its inhabitants." Mordekaiser stayed silent at that before ordering Thresh to leave. Once the Chain Warden did, Mordekaiser wondered how Karthus was handling with I.M.P. and that fool Stolas.

Meanwhile

Karthus

Karthus tried his best to ignore the screaming and yelling that was happening right now between the two heads of the Goetia family, but he honestly couldn't because of just how loud the matriarch of the family was.

"I can't fucking believe you!" Yelled Stella as she yelled at Stolas for what happened in the living world. "As if your fucking cheating wasn't enough, you nearly revealed the existence of Hell to the living world and got yourself hurt by a fucking human! And to top it all off, you nearly got Mordekaiser to try to and murder you! Can't you, for once, think about your actions!" Stolas sighed as his wife chewed him out for what happened. After coming back to his own home with his Blitzy and his hellhound, his imp compatriots, and Karthus, Stolas had to summon his wife so she wouldn't explode in anger upon seeing the Imps and Hellhound. Of course, instead of them, her anger was directed at him but for different reasons.

"Yes, I know what I did wrong, Stella." Said Stolas, not in the mood to deal with his wife's anger today. "Now can you please stay silent for the rest of the day while my Blitzy is being treated?" Instead of doing what Stolas asked, Stella just yelled louder.

"Are you fucking kidding me!?" Yelled Stella, raising her voice a few more octaves. Karthus sighed as he continued to heal the one called Moxxie. He already healed most of his major injuries and gave back his arm through his magic, so he was doing the minor injuries now. He had finished with the females and would do Blitzo last. The Imp deserved less, but his lord would want them fully healed. If only for him to murder them himself while they're fully healed for going on a job while they were under orders to spy on the Overlord Rosie. "Is that Imp all that you fucking care about!? What the fuck is wrong with you!? Our family name is at risk because of your fucking stunt and all you fucking care about is that Imp! Don't you care about what happens to me!? Our wealth!? Or our daughter!?" Upon hearing Octavia, Stolas winced before speaking up.

"Stella, don't drag via into this." Said Stolas, grateful that Octavia was out being taught how to use magic by a tutor they hired. She didn't need to hear more yelling from her mother. "She is perfectly alright, I assure you." If that was supposed to placate Stella, it only made her angrier.

"You fucking idiot!" Yelled Stella as her feathers started to raise up in anger while her beak and teeth started to grow sharper and more feral. "She's in fucking danger of losing her family name and reputation because of what you fucking did and you expect me to not drag her into this!?" Karthus sighed as Stolas tried to keep Stella calm so she wouldn't turn into her more demonic form, failing miserably in the process. Sometimes, he wondered how such incompetent people were left with such powerful artifacts like Stolas and his grimoire. If Mordekaiser was in possession of the Grimoire and needed to give it to someone for whatever reason, he would give it to someone he trusted to not use it for his own selfish goals. Someone like Karthus, who would keep it safe and won't use it for something so stupid as fucking an Imp.

Looking at Blitzo, he couldn't see what was appealing with the Imp. He was a loudmouth that didn't know when to shut up and a fool that got into trouble more times than Karthus could count. He would have sooner let a blood-crazed fool like Hecarim have possession of the Grimoire over someone like Blitzo. Sighing again as Stella finally started to toss things around with one vase nearly hitting Karthus in the face, Karthus was finished with Moxxie before going to Blitzo, who was looking at his stumps for hands with sorrow and deep contemplation.

Raising an eyebrow at this, Karthus nevertheless went to heal the hands. Slowly, but surely, they were regrowing back. As Karthus did his work, Blitzo spoke up.

"So how pissed is Mordekaiser right now?" Asked Blitzo as Karthus healed his hands. Karthus was a little surprised to hear this as this would be the first words the Imp said when they came here but Karthus answered the question.

"Enough that you should expect punishment from him for your stupidity." Said Karthus as he finished bringing Blitzo back his hands. "I do not have to repeat this, but your stupidity in taking that assignment has really angered my lord. Do not expect him to be lenient on you like he was last time." Blitzo winced at that, remembering what happened last time. Imagining what cruel things Mordekaiser would do to him and his family was something that Blitzo didn't want to happen. So, he looked at Karthus and asked him what he can do to appease Mordekaiser.

"*Laughs* Placate my lord?!" Asked Karthus sarcastically. "What can you possibly offer beyond what you are already doing for the great Mordekaiser? Anything that he actually values?" Blitzo opened his mouth to speak up but found he couldn't find anything. With that, he looked at his hands along with the wounds that Karthus was healing, before burying his face in his new hands.

"I fucked up so much." Said Blitzo as Karthus continued to heal him. His employees and daughter overheard that and immediately felt bad. They wanted to say anything to cheer him up, but couldn't. Mordekaiser was enraged with them and will likely punish them for failing to keep a constant eye on Rosie. Perhaps even worse than what Thresh did to them when they first met. Karthus, feeling no sympathy at all, just scoffed and spoke.

"You have sought to undermine your own efforts to please Mordekaiser." Said Karthus, glaring at Blitzo, ignoring the yelling that was happening behind him. "You brought this upon yourself." Blitzo just stayed silent, knowing that Karthus was right. Soon, Karthus was finished healing Blitzo and with that Karthus could leave. Gathering his things, Karthus went over to Stolas, who was dealing with an enraged wife, who stopped when she noticed Karthus. Giving Stella a respectable nod, Karthus looked at Stolas.

"Do keep this from happening again." Said Karthus. "I do not believe my master will keep another discovery secret from Lucifer again. Especially if it's something of this magnitude." Stolas just gritted his teeth at that.

"Crystal." Said Stolas through his teeth. Karthus scoffed at Stolas' reaction before teleporting himself back to the Immortal Bastion, eager to get away from this all. Once he was gone, Stolas sighed and went over to Blitzo to check on him. Sitting on the couch that Blitzo was on, Stolas asked him if he was alright. Upon seeing this affectionate affair between her husband and his whore, Stella screamed out in rage before stomping herself out, through with trying to yell some sense into her husband. Sighing himself, Blitzo looked at Stolas and spoke up.

"I fucked up, Stolas." Said Blitzo. "I fucked up and now Mordekaiser will probably torture me, my employees, and my little girl. Probably torture our families as well and make us watch. Shit, he might even torture us to the point we want death, but he'll have us beaten within a very inch of our lives and then heal us up to deny us sweet oblivion. *Sighs* All because we went on a job we weren't suppose to." Stolas, though he did agree with Blitzo's assessments, still felt heartbroken that he was feeling this way and angry at Mordekaiser for making him feel this way along with other things. Knowing that being angry wasn't good for anyone right now, Stolas tried to comfort his Blitzy.

"Blitzy." Said Stolas as he tried to comfort Blitzo. "It'll be alright. If you need any help in appeasing that limb-dick brute we call the Iron Revenant, I'll be there. Anything you want, I'll provide. Even if it means fighting that brute, I'll be there to protect you and your employees from Mordekaiser's wrath. For you are precious to me, Blitzy." Upon hearing that, everyone looked at Stolas in astonishment. Everyone knew just how powerful Mordekaiser was, yet Stolas was willing to still fight him despite being weaker than Lucifer? Talk about commitment.

"If that isn't true love, then I don't know what is." Whispered Millie to her husband, causing him to nod in agreement. Though he also thought it was stupid as well, given how strong Mordekaiser was and the fact that Stolas had a daughter. A daughter that he clearly loved. Blitzo, being shocked at all this, just shook his head and spoke up.

"Thanks, Stolas, but what about your daughter and wife?" Asked Blitzo. "I mean, they're going to be caught in the crossfire too. Don't you care about what happens to them?" Stolas was taken aback by this question. Truth be told, he didn't consider his wife and child.

Stella, even though she yells at him a lot for his infidelity, was still someone he cared for. And his via. He couldn't bear to see her in danger, much less be in danger of Mordekaiser and his thugs. Just imagining her under the claws of the likes of Thresh or Hecarim was something that brought chills to Stolas' spine. But still, his Blitzy was in danger and he loved his Blitzy. He hated whenever he was hurt or down, especially if it was because of some shithead like Mordekaiser, and would have done anything to protect him or cheer him up. But would he do so if it meant putting his wife and daughter in danger? Stolas wasn't sure. Blitzo must have seen the uncertainty because he smiled a bit at that.

"Yeah, I wouldn't know what to fucking do either." Said Blitzo as he looked at Loona, who was looking at him indifferently. "Loona is my own daughter, and I don't want to get her into trouble. Well, more than we already are. If I could get her to avoid any punishment from my fuck up, I would take it, even if it costed me my life. Family is important to me, Stolas. Don't know about you, but I would do everything I can to avoid getting my family in trouble unless it's unavoidable. Because what can of fucking dad would I be if I get my daughter in unnecessary trouble, huh?" Stolas looked at Blitzo, stunned at his thoughtful words, while Loona rolled her eyes, but held a small smile on her face. Millie also held a smile on her face while her husband was stunned at his boss' thoughtful words.

Soon Stolas gave him a smile and kisses Blitzo on the forehead.

"You are wise beyond your years, Blitzy." Said Stolas as he cupped Blitzo's chin. "So much wiser than that brute and limb dick Mordekaiser. Oh, how he needs to get fucked in order to relieve himself of his stiff and horrid met…" Stolas couldn't say anymore when he heard a voice that sent chills in everyone's spine.

"Horrid what?" Asked Mordekaiser as he looked at Stolas with an unamused stare, surprising everyone. Starring wide-eyed at Mordekaiser, everyone couldn't believe he was here without anyone noticing, including Stolas. Before anyone could ask, Mordekaiser replied that Stella let him in. With that, Mordekaiser went over to Stolas and Blitzo.

Upon seeing Mordekaiser coming closer, Stolas placed Blitzo behind him and glared at Mordekaiser.

"Mordekaiser, I warn you now." Said Stolas as Mordekaiser grew closer. "Hurt my little Blitzy and you be making…" He couldn't say anymore when Mordekaiser grabbed Stolas by the head and slammed him into the ground, knocking him out. Blitzo yelled out at this, but couldn't do anything as Mordekaiser then tossed him towards a wall, breaking it along with several others. Glaring down at Blitzo, Mordekaiser spoke up.

"I trust that you have thought long and hard about what you did wrong." Said Mordekaiser as he glared down at Blitzo, who gulped in fear before looking at his employees and daughter, all of whom were ready to fight, but scared of actually fighting Mordekaiser. He didn't have his mace with him, but that didn't mean he was defenseless. Seeing Loona shake in fear, Blitzo gathered his courage before speaking up.

"Yeah. Yeah, I fucking did." Said Blitzo as he glared up at Mordekaiser, despite the fear he had. "I fucking did, and I got one fucking thing to say to you." Mordekaiser waited for Blitzo to answer before he would do anything. At first, Blitzo glared at Mordekaiser in fear before he gathered up his courage and spoke up. "I was wrong." This stunned Moxxie, Millie, and Loona. Mordekaiser stayed silent as Blitzo continued. "I was supposed to be doing a fucking boring job that paid a lot and I fucked it up by going on an assassination job. One that, admittedly, was taken out of my hands by a giant werewolf thing, but I let it happen by taking that job. A job that I could easily have done later, right?"

"Correct." Said Mordekaiser. "And now what will you do to address your faults?" Blitzo winced at this before speaking.

"Anything." Said Blitzo as tears started to form in his eyes. "Anything. I'll do fucking anything you want. Just leave my employees and my daughter out of it. Please. I don't give a fuck if you don't understand, but my employees are more than just my underlings. They're my fucking family. They've been more of a fucking family to me than my own biological one." He then got off the couch in order for him to get on his knees, surprising everyone, even Mordekaiser slightly. He then looked at Mordekaiser with tears falling down his eyes. "So, you can do whatever the fuck you want with me, but fucking leave my family out of it! Please!" Mordekaiser just stayed silent as Blitzo continued to look at him, his speech really wore his weak body out.

Giving Blitzo's speech some thought, Mordekaiser couldn't help but be impressed with the Imp's words along with his bravery. Not many would have done what he just did. His devotion to his employees and his daughter was admirable. Very admirable. A bit foolish, but it was something that Mordekaiser can treat with respect. Especially since it was the reason that he was as courageous as he was now.

Respect flowing through him, Mordekaiser grabbed Blitzo, lifted him up towards his face, and spoke.

"Impressive, Imp." Said Mordekaiser, with respect in his voice. "Not many Imps would have the spine you are showing right now. Nor would most demons admit their own failings." Blitzo blinked in surprise at that, but before he could do anything Mordekaiser spoke up. "Regardless, you nearly revealed Hell's existence to humanity and so punishment must be given. Fortunately, I've decided to merely take away your Grimoire from you until you're free from my command. To ensure that none of you will try this again." Upon hearing that everyone but Blitzo blinked again, surprised at such a lenient punishment. Before anyone could do anything, Mordekaiser spoke again. "In addition, I'll be having Crucian and several others keep an eye on you so that you all won't be so lax with your given assignment again. They'll also be there in case some of your clients get angry with you." Looking at Mordekaiser strangely, Blitzo spoke up.

"What's the fucking deal, Mordekaiser?" Asked Blitzo, suspicious of all this. "Why the fuck are you suddenly so lenient?"

"Because I still have use of you all." Said Mordekaiser before letting Blitzo go, letting him drop down on the couch he used to be on. "Plus, I gain Stolas' Grimoire. Such a powerful artifact is better in my hands than that fool, especially since he kept using it to bed you. In addition, your Imps. You're not exactly Hell's most beloved species." Mordekaiser eyes' then glowed brighter than before. And the room began to shake with power, scaring everyone. "But know this, do something like this again and I'll have you all killed in the slowest way possible." Blitzo nodded at that, signifying his compliance. With that, Mordekaiser looked at Loona and handed out his hand, demanding Stolas' book.

Upon seeing Mordekaiser demanding for the book, Loona looked at Blitzo, who just nodded his head, still scared out of his mind. Thus, she gave Mordekaiser Stolas' grimoire with shaky hands. Looking upon the grimoire, Mordekaiser chuckled in satisfaction before opening a portal.

"Crucian will be at your office by the time you get there." Said Mordekaiser as he stepped through the portal. After he walked through the portal, Mordekaiser turned to I.M.P. and spoke one last time. "Do not disappoint me again." With that the portal closed, leaving the Imps and Hellhound alone to their thoughts along with a messy room. Soon, Stella arrived and immediately shrieked out in horror and anger.

Meanwhile

Hazbin Hotel

"I forgive you." Said Miss Mayberry as she struggled to speak to Angel Dust, who was dressed up like her cheating husband. Angel Dust simply smiled as he adopted a more provocative pose. Well, one that was more provocative than the one that he already was in.

"Oh, I'm sorry honey, but can you repeat that?" Asked Angel Dust as he stroked his wig. Mayberry gritted her teeth before speaking up again.

"I forgive you for cheating on me." Said Mayberry as she glared at Angel Dust, who simply laughed at her, enraging her.

"C'mon you can do better than that, baby." Said Angel Dust with a smile. "If you do better, I'll even give you the greatest fucking that you'll ever get." Twitching her eye, Mayberry spoke again, trying to hold her anger in.

"I forgive you for cheating on me with that stupid, ditzy, whore." Said Mayberry for the third time. "And I'm sorry for killing you in a fit of rage." Angel Dust smiled at that and began to bring Mayberry over in a hug.

"That's the spirit, wifey!" Said Angel Dust. "Now let's get to having some good old apology sex." Before Mayberry could react, they heard Charlie's voice.

"Stop! Stop!" Yelled Charlie as she butted in. Frowning at Angel Dust, Charlie spoke up. "Angel, that is not a good thing to say to her. You know what happened with her husband, right?"

"Well yeah, but what's the point in being this slutty asshole if I don't get to be a slutty asshole." Said Angel as he had one pair of arms placed around Mayberry's shoulder while the other was taking off his wig. Charlie sighed at that. This was becoming a failure.

The point of the exercise right now was for Mayberry to move past what happened with her cheating husband. Mayberry was, of course, reluctant to participate, but Charlie managed to convince her to try at least once. Unfortunately, the person they got to pretend to be the husband was Angel Dust of all people as everyone was either a terrible actor or busy with the other patrons of the hotel. And Angel Dust wasn't exactly…cooperating. He either made advances on Mayberry that irritated her to no end or just plain angered her by saying he'll be the best thing she has ever gotten in both her living life and her life in Hell. Needless to say, Charlie could see that Mayberry was starting to get angrier and angrier so she decided to end the session before things took a turn for the worst.

"You're supposed to act exactly like Harold." Said Mayberry's counselor as he looked at Angel Dust. He was the one that suggested this treatment and it was irritated that it was failing because of a slut. "And, unless he was secretly a slut, you're not behaving at all like him."

"Slut?" Said Angel Dust before laughing. "Sheesh, man, get some actual originally material because that was fucking awful." The counselor just growled before turning towards Charlie and asking her what to do. Charlie sighed before calling this all off and that they'll try again with someone more cooperative. With that, Angel Dust shrugged and went to get some good liquor from the bar. As he was doing this, Charlie was apologizing to Mayberry for Angel's behavior during her session.

"It's not your fault." Said Mayberry as she dusted herself. "To be honest, he's not the worst hooker that I had the displeasure of meeting since coming to hell."

"Still, I'm sorry for his behavior." Said Charlie as she wrung her wrists in anxiety. "I know that your ex-husband is still a sore subject for you and I only did this because I thought it would help you get redemption. So, if it didn't work, just tell me and I'll…" She was interrupted when she heard Mayberry laugh. It wasn't a mean-spirited one, no, rather it was a kind-hearted one.

"Miss Mange, I assure you, everything you're doing is alright." Said Mayberry with a smile. "Honestly, you're doing much better than I thought you can possibly be doing with this establishment. You truly have a dedicated staff in working towards your goals. That, and I've seen you work hard to make everyone here goes to Heaven. Or at least be a better person. Though this little session of yours had an awful actor, I think it has merit. And honestly, he was much better than Harold was. Though that's not saying much." Charlie laughed a bit at that before speaking up.

"Well, I'm glad that you're not mad about it." Said Charlie with a smile. "Just let me know if there's anything else that we can do for you during your time here."

"Actually there is." Said Mayberry. "My hooves have been feeling causing me pains recently. I can ignore it, but lately, it's been getting worse. Would you mind if I visit the infirmary to get them checked up?" Upon hearing that, Charlie shook her head.

"Of course not." Said Charlie with a shake of her head. "The safety and comforts of our patrons are one of the things that I look out for in this hotel. So please, take your time in the infirmary. I'm sure the doctors there will take care of you."

"Thank you." Said Mayberry with a smile before leaving with her counselor in tow. As she was leaving, she told Charlie to keep up the good work. Something that made Charlie smile a bit, happy that someone other than Vaggie was supportive of her dreams and hard work. With the session done, Charlie decided to go and visit Vaggie. Her girlfriend told her that she was doing some inventory checkups with Sahn-Ikal and that she'll give her a list of what they needed to buy the next time they went shopping.

As she walked through the hallways of her hotel, Charlie heard the faint melody of a song. It was a song that she never heard of, but it was immediately breathtaking the moment she heard it.

Curious, Charlie went to the source of the melody and traced it to one of the guest rooms. Her curiosity overtaking her, Charlie knocked on the door and soon the melody stopped. The door then soon opened and it revealed Sona in her usual dress. Upon seeing her, Charlie let out a smile and spoke up.

"Oh hi, Sona." Said Charlie as she greeted one of her nicer patrons in the hotel. "How is everything going for you?" Sona let out a smile at that and spoke up.

"Fine." Said Sona. "The guards are performing their jobs admirably and the other patrons are quite nice. Even Alastor is nice despite his reputation." Charlie smiled at that, happy to hear all that.

Ever since she came to the hotel, Sona was one of her nicest patrons. Always treating others with respect and never causing a fight, Sona was someone appreciated by her employees, especially Vaggie. Even Alastor appreciated the niceties of Sona, even if it's to make fun of her naivety. As for Charlie, she was beyond happy to have a sinner that was genuinely nice and cooperative without much convincing on her end. It made her feel that there was more than a chance for people to be redeemed and for her dream of the Exterminations being no longer needed to become a reality.

"That's good to hear!" Said Charlie with a big smile. "I'm so glad that everyone is treating you with respect. If there's anything that we can do to help you out, please let me or Vaggie know." Sona smiled at that and said that she will. Just before Charlie left, Sona asked a question.

"Forgive me for asking this, but are you in a relationship with anyone?" Asked Sona with curiosity, stopping Charlie and causing her to look at Sona in surprise. "I've noticed you and your manager are a lot closer than professionalism suggests. Are you two…together?" Upon hearing that, Charlie chuckled a bit, embarrassed at being found out, before nodding her head.

"Yup." Said Charlie. "Vaggie and I are in a relationship together. We haven't done any of the normal stuff that you expect in couples in Hell, but we're together and we're really happy together." Sona had her mouth twitch at that, but Charlie didn't notice.

"I'm very happy for you two." Said Sona. "Not many couples are very faithful to each other in here." Charlie sadly nodded at that in agreement. So many people cheat or have affairs with others while married. The only couple that remained faithful to each other that Charlie could think of was her own parents ironically enough. The two are too much in love with one another to ever consider ever leaving the other for someone else.

"Well, I got to go." Said Charlie as she looked at the time from a nearby clock. "Got to get the inventory check from Vaggie and see what we need to buy. So…see ya!" With that, Charlie left the Sinner alone. Once she was alone, however, Sona let loose a sad and fearful pout for Charlie and Vaggie, knowing who exactly was after one of them.
