Chapter 17

Vaggie

"Okay, need to get more soap and towels." Thought Vaggie as she looked through the hotel's inventory. Writing down that they need a full resupply of water and soda after checking their liquid refreshments, Vaggie looked to see Sahn-Ikal was writing down something on his own notepad while he was checking out their freezer. Once he wrote that down, he left the freezer and closed the door. He then made his way to Vaggie and gave her his notepad.

"Finished checking the freezer and meat lockers." Said Sahn-Ikal as Vaggie looked over what they needed from those two sections. "So far, only need to resupply steaks and hamburger meat. Those things are being used up like hotcakes."

"I wonder why." Mumbled Vaggie before ripping off the papers that held what was needed to be resupplied and placing them with her own list. "Okay, honestly, there's not much that needs to be resupplied. Guess Rosie went out of the way to get us supplied well." Sahn-Ikal can see that. His mother never did things half-assed. "Well, let's get these to Charlie so we can get the money we need to get these supplies." Sahn-Ikal nodded before the two left the basement of the hotel, where their supplies were all held. As they walked, Vaggie looked at Sahn-Ikal as he walked.

Honestly, Vaggie hated men. She hated how they looked at women when they weren't looking. She hated how much they brag about their stupid possessions or money. And she hated how they think of women as nothing more than possessions for them to use in any way or shape. She then touched her eyepatch, feeling how empty the eye socket it really was underneath the patch. She does know that some men aren't like that and are genuinely good people, but more often than not, she got the worst of men than the good. Sahn-Ikal, however, was one of the good ones.

Not only was he someone that treated her and Charlie with respect in regard to their dreams, unlike Angel Dust and Alastor, but he did his job without complaint and without question. Something she really appreciated. Not a lot of demons she met were as disciplined or respectful as Sahn-Ikal. In fact, most, if not all, of Rosie's servants were like him. The Overlord really seemed to have given them a respectful crew, she can give the lady that. Even Mordekaiser's servants were respectful, though she sometimes wondered if that was because they've been stripped of their individuality with how they did everything asked of them without question and how they stood in their assigned posts without complaint or moving at all. They were like machines in that respect and Vaggie was slightly scared if the rumors about them being stripped of who they once were, becoming little more than machines, as a result, were true.

But something about Sahn-Ikal was different than the rest. He was like a combination of the stoicism of Mordekaiser's soldiers and the professionalism of Rosie's employees. He was stoic, yes, but he was still social enough that he tried to make friends with other members of the hotel staff. Including Angel Dust, even though he didn't exactly like the porn stars' advances on him. And, if she dared to think it, but he seemed like Charlie. Just a bit more realistic.

He seemed to believe in their cause but was realistic enough to believe that not everyone that comes to their hotel is looking for redemption, no matter how stupid it is to try to scam their hotel when there are guards from Mordekaiser's personal guard here to punish those that dare to even try it. That was something she appreciated. She wasn't sure she can handle having another person that was either too optimistic about their success or someone that didn't actually care about their goals in the first place.

She still mistrusted men as a whole, but Sahn-Ikal was shaping out to be an exception to the rule. Smiling a bit, Vaggie was about to speak up when the two heard something coming from the upper floors. Sighing, Vaggie went up ahead and, unsurprisingly, she found Husk drinking up some cheap booze with a few patrons.

Groaning in irritation, she went up to Husk and spoke out.

"Husk, I fucking told you just yesterday." Said Vaggie with a glare, causing the cat-like demon to look at her with an uninterested look on his face. "No drinking while on shift. Much less do it with patrons."

"Yeah so?" Asked Husk with a bored expression on his face as he drank his alcohol along with a few other patrons. Twitching in irritation, Vaggie was about to go on another scolding them Sahn-Ikal spoke up.

"Husk, get back to work." Said Sahn-Ikal as he narrowed his eyes at the old Sinner, causing him to look at him.

"Yeah? Why the hell should I?" Asked Husk, not really caring as he drank his booze. Rather than get upset as Vaggie, Sahn-Ikal went a different route.

"Well, I imagine Alastor would get upset with your behavior." Said Sahn-Ikal. That caused Husk to raise an eyebrow and stop drinking.

"What the fuck do you mean by that?" Asked Husk, intrigued at this while the rest of the patrons were looking at this conversation with interest.

"Well, I imagine that, since Alastor has invested into this hotel, he would want all of the employees he brought to work just as hard as those brought in from Rosie and Mordekaiser." Reasoned Sahn-Ikal, adopting a tone similar to what his mother used when she wanted to appear reasonable in order to acquire what she wanted from people that needed a bit of convincing. Vaggie was looking in this conversation in interest, especially when Husk was looking at Sahn-Ikal fully.

"How do you figure that?" Asked Husk as he looked at Sahn-Ikal with a bored expression. "You know more about Alastor more than me?"

"Not really, but what I do know is that he wouldn't like to hear the employees he brought are the only ones causing trouble for the princess' business." Said Sahn-Ikal.

"And what makes you think he gives a fuck about that?" Asked Husk with disinterest as he reached took a swing of his alcohol.

"Well, I imagine since one of his friends is doing the most in supporting his hotel, he would want his own investments to be as capable as possible. Otherwise, it would reflect badly on him. Don't you think?" Said Sahn-Ikal. Raising an eyebrow, Husk asked him to get to the fucking point.

"Well, given how reputation is important in Hell along with how often other Overlords try to ruin the reputation of their rivals, it wouldn't take much for someone like Vox to spin something against Alastor if he ever got wind of this. Alastor's reputation would go down and that is something that isn't acceptable for any Overlord, right?" Husk hummed at that as he looked at his bottle of booze.

He knew all about the rivalry between Vox and Alastor. How the fuck it started; he didn't know nor give a fuck knowing how it came to be. And it's not like matters in the grand scheme of things. All Overlords were rivals with each other, always competing with each other for territory and resources in the Rings, and other leaders in Hell besides Lucifer. It's just some rivalries were more hostile than others.

Anyway, he knew that either of them would do anything to fuck the other over in any way or form. Even if it's something as little as associates of theirs fucking up in their assigned tasks. And if Alastor's reputation would lower because of something Husk did, well, let's just say a visit from Alastor was not something that Husk wanted right now. Especially if the fucker would do something that makes even Husk sweat in fear. That guy knew how to strike fear in even the most stoic or uncaring individual in Hell. Husk will give him that.

So, sighing in irritation, Husk let go of his bottle and went back to work without any bottle in sight, but not before giving Sahn-Ikal a middle finger, something that he ignored.

With Husk back at work, Sahn-Ikal looked at Vaggie, who looked at him with respect and gratitude before leaving, causing Sahn-Ikal to follow her.

"Thanks for doing that." Said Vaggie once they were out of earshot range of Husk. "It's easier for the hotel if we resolve things peacefully. Gives our critics less ammo to use against us." Sahn-Ikal just nodded at that, agreeing with her. Vaggie, from what Sahn-Ikal can gather, was someone that easily lost their temper on even the simplest of things. The fact that she kept fighting with Angel Dust whenever they're together certainly helped with that conclusion. The porn star didn't even have to do much to anger Vaggie. He just needed to act aloof and lazy for Vaggie to lose her temper with him.

A part of Sahn-Ikal thought she was ill-suited to be a manager of this establishment given her temper, but she was honestly needed. She may not look it, but she's probably the best of the normal staff that knew how to handle finances and deal with the more boring elements of running a hotel, like doing taxes and handling other sorts of paperwork needed to properly run a hotel. Sahn-Ikal could do it, but given he was head of security, he already had his hands full in keeping everyone in line. Or at least in line enough that the hotel can run properly enough to act as a semi-competent establishment. So, it was best to have someone else do it along with Charlie, especially if they were disciplined enough to not get distracted with even the simplest of things.

Just as they were about to continue their conversation, they bumped into Charlie. Just the person that they wanted to see.

"Charlie." Said Vaggie with a smile, relieved to see her girlfriend safe and sound. After giving her a quick hug, she gave Charlie the inventory lists. "We checked over the inventory and what we need is circled." As Charlie looked over the lists, Vaggie spoke up a bit. "Do you have someone to go into the city and get what we need? If you don't, I can easily go back out to get what we need." Upon hearing that, Charlie smiled at that.

"No need, Vaggie." Said Charlie as she stuffed the list into her pocket. "I'll handle the shopping." Vaggie was a bit surprised at that. It then turned to worry for her safety, knowing how much some people would use her against Lucifer to gain more power within Hell. Thus, she voiced her concerns, causing Charlie to smile assuredly. "Don't worry, Vaggie, I'll have Razzle and Dazzle with me. And they're a lot tougher than they look. Plus, I'm no slouch either when it comes to a fight. Besides, I need to get a few things for some of the patrons too. So, might as well go myself, right?" Vaggie still looked a little worried. Sahn-Ikal also looked a bit worried and voiced it.

"Are you sure you won't take some of Mordekaiser's men?" Asked Sahn-Ikal. "We can certainly spare a few. None of the customers we have right now are causing enough trouble for us that we need all of the Iron Guard here. We can certainly spare a few of them to guard you while you're out shopping." Charlie smiled at that before waving his suggestion off.

"It's fine guys." Said Charlie as she looked at both her girlfriend and head of security. "Besides, having a bunch of skull-faced guards while shopping wouldn't give off a good impression of the hotel. Right?" Sahn-Ikal was going to point out that they still had them while they're at the hotel, but refrained from doing so. It seemed that Charlie was insistent on just going alone with the two goats. Vaggie still looked a bit worried, but eventually sighed.

"Just be careful, Charlie." Said Vaggie as she crossed her arms. "I don't want you to get hurt." Charlie smiled at that before giving Vaggie a quick kiss on the cheek.

"I'll be fine, you two." Said Charlie, trying to reassure them further. "Don't worry. I'll just get all this stuff and be right back. I'll be back soon, I promise." Vaggie pursed her lips a bit, obviously stilled worried, but relented. Happy at that, Charlie kissed her again, this time on the lips before leaving.

"I hope Charlie will be fine." Said Vaggie as she held her hands together in worry. This was Hell and there were plenty of stupid and ambitious people in Hell that would do anything to get one over Lucifer and the Magne family. Especially if it meant attacking or holding hostage his adorable little girl.

"If you want, I could send some Iron guards to keep an eye on Charlie." Suggested Sahn-Ikal. "They may not seem it, but they're capable of being stealthy when needed." Vaggie, however, shook her head at that.

"Let's just respect her wishes, for now, Sahn." Said Vaggie. "Who knows? Maybe we're just paranoid."

"Paranoid is good in Hell, miss Vaggie." Said Sahn-Ikal. "It keeps us all alive." Vaggie couldn't help but agree with that statement, knowing how many times she stayed alive because she was cautious and paranoid over someone's true intentions. Admittedly it left her a bit untrusting towards others, especially men and even Charlie, but she won't deny her paranoia kept her alive over the years she's been in Hell.

"I know." Said Vaggie as she bit her lip, wondering what to do. She loved Charlie and trusted her completely, but she wasn't sure if she should disobey her girlfriend's wishes just because she was worried for her safety. As she was wondering what to do, Alastor suddenly showed up with a big smile on his face.

"Oh! What's this?" Yelled Alastor as he brought both Vaggie and Sahn-Ikal into a hug. "Mutual worry over our naïve and free-spirited princess!? Oh, the joy of such friendship. I remember when I saw a group of people become friends over their mutual hatred over something and their mutual worry for a separate friend. Of course, I was the victim of the former, but I won't deny that friendship can bloom over anything!" Vaggie groaned in irritation as she tried to pull away from Alastor but couldn't.

"What do you want, you Hijo de puta." Said Vaggie, speaking in her born language at the end, causing Alastor to chuckle.

"Why, I was just coming back from my own advertisements of this fine establishment when I heard your conversation with the princess." Said Alastor as he chuckled again. "It brings a tear to your eyes on how foolish and naïve the daughter of the big man really is, huh? Trusting on those worthless dolls of her to protect her and her own power as well, even though she probably hasn't been in a scuffle since she was born. Oh, the silly princess. If I were a betting man, I'd be betting my whole fortune on her getting into trouble for her foolish decision. Oh yes!" Vaggie growled as she tried once again to break free, only for Alastor to tighten his grip on her.

"What is it that you're suggesting Alastor?" Asked Sahn-Ikal, wondering what Alastor was trying to convey through all this. Alastor simply chuckled for the third time before speaking up again.

"Well, unlike you two, I don't respect such foolishness at all." Said Alastor. "Why I normally allow such people to get their comeuppance, but since the princess is an investment of mine, I have to save her from her own foolishness. So," He then let go of Sahn-Ikal and Vaggie. "I'll be keeping an eye on her so that she doesn't get hurt from this recent bout of her foolishness and naivety. Wish me luck! Or don't! *Laughs out loud*" With that, Alastor disappeared in the blink of an eye, leaving Vaggie and Sahn-Ikal alone.

"I hate that guy." Said Vaggie with a growl as she looked at the spot that Alastor used to be. Sahn-Ikal simply gave a nod of acknowledgment as he wondered if Alastor looking after Charlie was a good idea or not.

Meanwhile, Charlie, after getting a fresh suit and some money, left the hotel with Razzle and Dazzle. As they left, however, a pair of eyes were watching them leave and thus began to pursue them, their intentions murderous.

Later

Helska

"I believe this is more than sufficient for that potion." Said Helska as she handed out a stack of soul dollars to a spider-like demon as it held a green-colored potion the size of a baseball. Looking at the money, the spider demon at first was hesitant to accept it, but soon did when he saw the look of crazed glee on Dryska's face while she held a knife in her each of her hands. "Pleasure doing business with you." She then grabbed the potion before giving the demon the money for it. With that, the twins left with the potion. Upon exiting the store they were in, Helska looked around to see her surroundings, noticing just how small and crowded everything was.

While a Black Market may seem unnecessary in a place like Hell, but there were things that the upper class of Hell would very much like to be kept from the hands of Sinners or the lower classes. For example, angel weapons. It's well known to all that the Exterminators, some more than others, tended to break or lose their weapons during their annual exterminations. Whether it be from killing a rather tough victim or they felt that their weapon was tainted from spilling demonic blood, angel weapons tended to be left on the ground after an extermination. And since an Angel weapon was anathema to all demonkind, regardless of their power, these weapons were the most sought-after weapons for all, whether they be royalty, Overlords, or even just the common sinner, as they provide an easy way to kill one's enemies permanently.

As a result, many of Hell's royals and Overlords, do their very best to deprive both their rivals and the common citizenry from obtaining these weapons, knowing the consequences of any random sinner possessing even one Angel weapon to their held territories and wealth. While they were successful in acquiring most, to the point every Overlord or royal house in Hell had a stockpile of Angelic weaponry, a few slips past their grasps every now and then. Hence, the whole black market. Well that, and a bunch of other items of demonic origins that have been banned for one reason or another. And it was one of these black-market hotspots that the twins were shopping, implemented creatively in one of the biggest and most popular shopping centers for all aspects of life in the Pride Ring, preventing any sort of large-scale assault on the black-market there from being implemented, not without causing a loss of reputation for any Overlord or royal family and that was something none of them wanted.

"A potion of paralyzing agent capable of paralyzing even Cerberus, check." Said Helska as she crossed off the item from the long list of things that Rosie had told them to acquire. They were nine-tenths of the way done and Helska was pretty satisfied with it. Still she was concerned with how much they were getting. Not only were they acquiring some illegal Angel Weapons, some of which were guns made from melting down Exterminator spears and using the metal to make both the gun and bullets, but they were also acquiring some dangerous scrolls that looked ancient. Even more ancient than even Rosie and that concerned Helska. Just how powerful was this angel that had her master in her clutches?

"Great, now what else do we need to get?" Asked Dryska as she brought out a knife and began to play with it. She was bored out of her mind, and she wished something would happen where she can kill something. Helska looked through the list before replying.

"An invisibility cloak along with a Grimoire containing ancient demonic knowledge." Said Helska, seeing the last two items they needed. She then placed the potion into one of her coat pockets "These are from a very specific place. Fortunately, it's here in this black market. Let's go." With that the twins left to go to this location with Helska in the lead. As they walked, Dryska spoke up.

"So, what do you think that Rosie is doing right now?" Asked Dryska while pushing an Imp to the ground, looking at her sister.

"Last I heard, she was staying at a hotel in Imp city, though she may have left by now." Explained Helska as they walked, keeping her voice down in case anyone was listening in to their conversation. "I don't know what she plans on doing, but I believe she's working towards a solution in dealing with the aftermath of what will happen when we reveal Sahn-Ikal's birth." Dryska nodded at that. As much as she enjoyed chaos, how it enabled her to release her wild side without any worry for the consequences of her actions, she knew this wasn't a type of chaos that would allow that. Well, technically it can, but it's not the good type of chaos that she liked, like the aftermaths of exterminations or when someone throws a wild-ass party in the Wrath or Lust rings. This is the type that may or may not cause more problems than it's worth, but it's also the type that has to be done or else something else comes along that's even worse. And she hates that type of chaos.

"So, you think Alastor will break the deal off then?" Asked Dryska as they continued to walk, speaking as lowly as possible like her sister. "Guy isn't exactly the type to let things go easily, even if it's for a friend."

"Correct." Said Helska as they finally found the store that they were looking for, a long alleyway with a single door at the end of it. "Fortunately, I already have compiled a list of options that'll hopefully convince him to break off the deal. Hopefully." Dryska rolled her eyes at that. Of course, her sister would do something like that.

"C'mon, sis, there's no point in doing all that work when we need only one good way to convince him, right?" Asked Dryska, causing Helska to sigh. Of course, her sister would say something like that. She loved her sister, really, but she can be so insufferable at times.

"And what would happen if that one good way is not sufficient enough to convince him, sister?" Said Helska as she looked at her sister in annoyance. "Do you want to endanger our lives just because you want to be lazy and not think up of more ways to prevent our flesh from being on the menu of the Radio Demon?"

"Just saying that we don't need to do more than just one good argument." Said Dryska with a shrug. "If the argument that you made doesn't work, then you didn't do enough to make it foolproof. If you had dedicated the time you spent on getting more reasons to making one perfect one, then it would be a better alternative, right?" Helska shook her head and was about to continue the argument when the both of them heard a shriek. Normally such things were common in Hell, but Helska noticed the voice that shriek belonged to and instantly stopped.

"That was the princess." Said Helska in shock as she ran out of the alleyway to where she heard the screaming.

"What the hell was that?!" Yelled Dryska, catching up to her sister. Before she could speak again, the screaming came again and Helska managed to pinpoint where it was coming from. She then grabbed her sister and the two ran towards the screaming. As they ran, Helska hoped that they weren't too late to save the princess from whatever was attacking her. A part of her thought it was a trick or something, but she doubted anyone would use the princess' voice as a way to trick people for whatever reason, especially when the voice sounded too authentic for such magic to work.

That line of thinking was, fortunately, dashed when she found the princess and she widened her eyes in shock at what she saw.

Few minutes ago

Charlie

"Thank you so very much." Said Charlie as she was given her ordered amount of meat from the butcher. Taking the meat from the lizard-like Sinner, she gave it to Razzle before paying the man the money he wanted for the meat. After that, she thanked the man again before leaving the store with her bodyguards/dolls, Razzle and Dazzle. After leaving the store, she looked at what else she needed to buy and found that she didn't need to buy anything else, much to her joy. Thus, she ordered Razzle and Dazzle to get the meat back to the limo while she left to get something for Vaggie. As they were in one of the largest shopping centers in the Pride Ring, Charlie wanted to get Vaggie something on her way back. The two dolls were reluctant to leave the princess alone but obeyed her. Once they were gone, Charlie went over to a nearby jewelry store to get Vaggie something nice. After all the stress that she has been going through on account of Angel Dust and Alastor, she wanted to give her something nice that can help take her mind off the more stressful part of their jobs.

Walking towards a jewelry store, Charlie thought of getting something pretty. Something that can exemplify their love for each other, but in a way that isn't as simple as just getting Vaggie a pretty stone. Anyone could do that, and Charlie wanted to give Vaggie something special. Something that shows that she truly was the one for Charlie. Not like those failed relationships that her parents put her through, like the one she had with the son of the Eldritch family head, but someone she genuinely loved and wanted to be with the rest of her life. Her parents initially disapproved of it, as Vaggie was just a common sinner, but later allowed it as she seemed to be one of the few people that can keep their daughter in line. Sometimes.

Charlie still remembered how they first met. Vaggie had been fending herself from a bunch of Imps that wanted to sexually assault her when Charlie came around. Although she tried to make them all leave peacefully, the Imps ignored her and continued trying to fuck Vaggie, even ripping parts of her clothes off or kicking her in the face to get her dazed enough for them to do what they want. It was only when Lucifer came that the Imps scattered in fear of the king of Hell. Feeling pity for the hurt Sinner, all curled up with ruined clothes, Charlie had her brought to the Magne family to be properly cared for. Initially, Vaggie was suspicious of all the moral piety that Charlie was showing to her, but eventually, they became close friends and later became lovers, Charlie's kind nature winning her over. It was a magical day when the two first kisses and became lovers and that gave Charlie an idea. Why not, instead of getting Vaggie a fine jewel, she could recreate the day that they first kissed and become girlfriends. A recreation of that beautiful day would certainly speak volumes of their love for each other and may prove to be a much better message for Vaggie than any jewel can give her.

As a result, Charlie diverted her attention from the jewelry store to a business that she knew can create beautiful paintings for the right price. As Charlie walked, she wondered how much Vaggie would appreciate her gift.

"She wouldn't care about it at all." Said a deep and menacing voice within her head, causing Charlie to stop in shock at hearing it. She looked around her surroundings for whoever spoke but found nothing. Everyone was moving around her, uncaring about her, despite her being the daughter of Lucifer. There were a few snickers here and there directed towards her, but nothing that sounded like that deep menacing voice in her head. It didn't take long for the voice to speak again

"She doesn't care for you at all. She only wants you for the comfort that you bring her. A good stable life and you threaten it with your naivety." Said the voice again as Charlie backed towards a wall, getting scared.

"I know what you're trying to do." Said Charlie as she tried to muster her courage but found that she couldn't. It was as if her courage was being sapped by the voice of whoever was stalking her. "But it won't work. I know Vaggie and I know that she isn't as vain or selfish as your trying to make her out to be. So stop it."

"Pathetic child." Said the voice as shadowy hands came out of Charlie's shadow and suddenly grabbed her, making Charlie yelp in surprise. "You're just like your mother. Foolishly believing that your lovers would be as faithful as you make them out to be. I'll enjoy torturing you as I did your mother." The hands then sent Charlie to the floor, causing her to crash into a sinner with crocodile features. Before the Sinner could yell at Charlie for bumping into him, the shadowy hands from before soon formed armored greaves on their lateral eminences. Attached to those greaves were sharp and wicked metal blades that shined in the dull lighting of Hell. An upper body then came out of the shadows attached to the arms with a shadowy tendril in place of its lower body. Its mouthless head glared at Charlie with purple eyes that blazed with power. Growling at Charlie, the figure then grabbed her again before bringing its left blade close to her left eye, causing her to whimper. By now, everyone around them was noticing what was happening and were either taking pictures or videos of this with their Hell phones or getting the hell out of dodge, getting a bad feeling of what was about to happen.

Seeing the amount of attention they were getting, the figure growled out sinking into a nearby dark alleyway and disappearing with Charlie in tow. Soon, they were in a darker and more rundown part of the shopping center. With no one around, the shadowy figure then looked at Charlie who was weakly trying to make him let her go.

"No one will save you now, child nor will anyone stop me from hurting you." Said the shadow figure in a masculine voice as he replaced his left blade on her left eye, making her wince as the blade's tip began to touch her cornea. Just a little more pressure and the blade will cut right through the outer layer of her eye.

"Please stop." Begged Charlie as the figure looked at her. She tried to summon her demonic powers, but fear was overtaking her. It wasn't just fear of dying, but some sort of primal fear that this demon was emitting from its very existence. She tried to fight it, to no avail. "There's no need to do any of this."

"No." Agreed the figure. "However, it brings me great joy to inflict misery on anyone relating to that false god. I did it with your mother and I'll do the same for you. And I may have failed to break your mother, I will not fail with you." With that, the figure began his torture by ramming his blade straight into Charlie's left eye, making her scream in pain. As blood spilled everywhere from the sudden insertion, the figure ignored the blood as well as the screaming as it continued its torture. Pulling out his blade, the figure then began to cut off Charlie's rosy cheeks, starting with the left one. Starting at one end, he began to slice slowly and painfully across the cheek, making Charlie scream in pain more as her rosy cheek was being sliced off. Never before had she felt such pain and it was making her cry. Ignoring her pathetic tears, the figure managed to completely slice off the cheek and was about to slice the other off when a spear suddenly erupted in his chest cavity, making him yell out in pain.

"Get the fuck away from her!" Yelled Dryska as she threw another spear at the shadowy figure, this time embedding itself in his throat. Screaming out in pain as the spears burned it, the figure ripped the pair of spears from his body before glaring at Dryska. Roaring out in rage, he tossed Charlie towards her, forcing Dryska to catch her. He was about to launch itself at Dryska and Charlie when he was suddenly shot with a net that tied him up and sent him flying towards a wall.

"Dryska, grab the princess, and let's get out of here!" Yelled Helska as she held a smoking net gun in her hands. Her sister was about to say no to that when the figure roared out in rage before ripping himself out of the net and going straight for Helska. Diving out of the way, Helska rummaged her pockets for something as the figure gauzed directly towards her. Feeling a wave of primal fear overriding her senses, Helska quickly threw what she nabbed into the figure, causing something to break and splatter all over the figure.

Screaming in pain as some green substance began to sizzle and burn him, the figure began to lash out violently as it tried to find Helska, who was currently making her way to Dryska, who was near Charlie.

"Use this!" Yelled Helska as she held Charlie in her arms while tossing a small piece of parchment to her sister, tied up with a small knot. Hearing the serious tone in her sister and seeing the monster about to stop lashing out everywhere, Dryska grabbed the parchment, tore out the knot, and read the incantations within. A circle then surrounded the three just as the figure recovered and glared at the twin demonic sisters. He then launched himself at them just as a portal came out of the circle and moved up towards the three demons. The portal teleported them to god knows where as well as causing the shadowy figure to miss his targets, forcing him to crash into a wall instead. After retracting his head from the new hole he made to a wall, the figure roared out in rage at missing his prey.

Meanwhile

The portal that Dryska made soon dropped the three demonic females in front of Rosie's Emporium, much to the relief of Helska.

"Good, it worked." Said Helska before looking at the princess, who was whimpering in pain from the loss of one of her eyes and one of her rosy cheeks, both of which were still bleeding out from the cuts made by that…whatever it was. Feeling a twinge of sympathy, Helska continued to hold the princess as she helped her up. "Let's get you patched up inside before we get you back in the hotel." She then began escorting Charlie to the Emporium with Dryska following in after her. "Dryska, send a message to both Lucifer and the Hazbin Hotel. They both want to hear about this." Dryska nodded at that as she followed her sister into the Emporium.

Upon entering, they saw various customers going around trying out clothes, purchasing clothes, or arguing with employees over prices and other things. Right now the Emporium looked like it was close to bursting with customers. Normally this would be a good thing, but right now, it wasn't. Moving quickly to prevent people from seeing Charlie and asking questions about her, Helska soon led her to an employee-only stairway that allowed access to all the floors of the Emporium. This is where the sisters split. Helska went to the lower floors to get Charlie patched up while Dryska went to the upper floors to send a message out to Lucifer and Charlie's hotel. As she walked, Helska thought about that shadowy figure from before and couldn't help but wonder what kind of demon it was.

She had seen and heard of various demonic entities in existence, some of which were truly monstrous in looks, but she never heard of a demon that looked like that. Was it a new demon? Or was it an ancient one that remained hidden since its creation? If so, why the hell did it show up now and attack Lucifer's daughter? Just what the hell is going on?

Later

Vaggie

"What the hell do you mean you lost her!?" Yelled Vaggie as she glared down at the phone she was holding. Razzle and Dazzle just texted her about Charlie and she wasn't happy over it. "What the hell kind of bodyguards are you if lost the person you're supposed to protect!?" Sahn-Ikal and Alastor were looking at this, one in amusement and the other in concern.

"I'll be sending some of the Iron Guard to look for her." Said Sahn-Ikal as he looked at Vaggie, who was seething in rage at what happened with Charlie. "She shouldn't be hard to find unless some Overlord captured her."

"And what the hell do we do if she was captured by one!?" Demanded Vaggie as she glared at Sahn-Ikal, her emotions clouding her judgment.

"Oh please, Miss." Said Alastor as he teleported behind Vaggie before patting her head. "If one of my fellow Overlords did manage to capture her for whatever nefarious purpose they had in mind for her, I assure you I'll assist in the fight to rescue her from harm. After all, what investor would I be if I didn't help out in situations like this?" Vaggie really wasn't in the mood for Alastor's bullshit and yelled at him to leave her the hell alone, to which caused Alastor to simply tilt his head at that before submerging in the shadows and leaving Vaggie along with Sahn-Ikal. Vaggie then texted Razzle and Dazzle to never come back until they found Charlie before smashing the phone to pieces and burying her face in her hands. Sahn-Ikal wanted to go and help her out but realized that he wasn't the one for this. That person was missing right now.

Thus, he left Vaggie alone and walked towards the security station so he can garner some Iron Guard to find Vaggie. As he walked, he heard a beautiful song being played somewhere nearby. Curious, he walked inside a recreation room to see Sona playing a piano with a dozen of the Iron Guard hearing her play. Though it seemed harmless, Sahn-Ikal was skeptical.

For all their time at the hotel, never once did the Iron Guard do anything beyond guarding the hotel or doing what they were told by the hotel staff. Seeing them do something else but their assigned roles left Sahn-Ikal a bit suspicious. He wanted to confront all of them for this, but he had a situation on hand, so he was forced to leave them all alone. As he left, the eyes of the Iron Guard glowed blue for a moment before turning to their normal dark green.
