Author's note: I struggled a bit with this one. Also, I kind of operate on a "as long as it's a certain day somewhere, it counts" deal. Now excuse me, now that this is out, I'm going to watch Hawkeye.

Aubrey was a little nervous as she walked into the bar. She was new in town, she had just opened a new branch of her family's law firm, and this was the first chance she'd gotten to explore her community. She'd done her research and found this was the most popular lesbian bar around. Glancing around, she noticed there seemed to be some kind of party going on at the tables by the dance floor, one that seemed private. She made her way to the bar and ordered herself gin and tonic. She hadn't been sitting there long when a tall brunette in an all black suit and tie left the party and came over to sit next to her.

"Hey, you looked lonely so I thought I'd come say hello." The brunette said. "My name's Emily, welcome to Violet's."

"Aubrey." She said indicating herself. "You sure you wouldn't rather be with your friends?"

"They understand." Emily said, ordering herself a drink. "My sister Beca's getting married tomorrow, this is the first half of her bachelorette party."

"First half?" Aubrey questioned

"Yeah, after this, we're going to our friend's strip club." Emily explained. "Like I said, you looked lonely and I haven't seen you here before."

"I'm new in town." The blonde said, smiling at Emily. "You come here often then? You do play for my team?"

"I actually work here." Emily returned Aubrey's smile. "My sister and her soon to be wife own the place, I bartend and sometimes I sing. Whatever's needed. And yes, I'm gay, like my sister."

"I am too, obviously." Aubrey said, finishing her drink and indicating she wanted another. "I just moved to town, this is the first chance I've had to go out, so I figured seeking out my community made sense."

"You certainly found it." Emily confirmed. "This might be a bit forward, but why don't you join us?"

"I wouldn't want to intrude." Aubrey said, glancing over at the group before looking back at Emily.

"The more the merrier." Emily said, taking the blonde's hand. "If you'd like, you could even come to the wedding with me tomorrow."

"You don't already have a date?" Aubrey asked, assessing the younger woman.

"It's been a little bit since I've had a girlfriend." Emily answered. "Come on, let me introduce you to everyone."

Note 2: sorry it's so short, like I said I struggled with it and I realized after I started I should have just done the George Strait song "The Chair". Regardless, look for day 3 within the next 24 hours
