Author's Note: Please forgive me, Discovery took precedence I'm sorry. As near as I know, it's still just barely Wednesday in Hawaii, that counts doesn't it?
"Posen's Pet Palace." Stacie said, looking at the name of the store in the store window after putting the car in park and turning it off. "You've gotta appreciate the alliteration. Maybe we should open something like 'Mitchell's Music Mansion' or the like."
"I could see us having a cute little record store." Beca said as she unbuckled in the passenger seat. "Speaking of cute, look at the workers." She pointed out a blonde and redhead working together to set something up in the window. "They are both gorgeous."
"They are." Stacie agreed getting out of the car and heading for the backseat to get their puppy. "I certainly wouldn't mind getting to know them better."
"I can't believe it, we just got married last month and you're already openly talking about cheating on me." Beca harrumphed, though with a grin indicating she wasn't serious.
"Babe, it's not cheating if you're there too." Stacie reminded her wife as she closed the door. She gave the puppy a quick pet saying "C'mon little one, let's go get your Holiday present."
As they worked to set up the display of pets available for adoption at the nearby shelter, Aubrey took notice of the two brunettes getting a German Shepherd puppy out of the car that had just pulled into the parking lot in front of the store and brought them to Chloe's attention.
"You, dear wife, are salivating over the tall one aren't you?" Chloe teased, knowing Aubrey well.
"Like you're not checking out the Hobbit sized one." Aubrey shot back, taping up another picture, watching as the women walked towards the store hand in hand. They continued to work in silence after that, not wanting to be overheard by the women as they came in. When the women entered, a smile spread across Aubrey's face as she greeted them "Welcome to Posen's Pet Palace how can we help you today?"
"We just got our puppy and we came to get everything we need, and a Christmas present for her sister Emily's dog too." Beca said.
"And what's this cutie's name?" Chloe asked, bending to pet the puppy.
"Kitty." Stacie said nodding towards. "It was her idea, she just loves messing with people's head, she figures when she gets bigger it'll be funny to say 'Here Kitty Kitty' and have this big German Shepherd come running."
"Alexei thought it was funny." Beca defended herself.
"Alexei is the daddest of dads and that is such a dad joke." Stacie pointed out "Alexei is Emily's girlfriend Yelena's father. We got Kitty from him."
"I think it's adorable." Chloe said, standing and smiling at Beca. "I think I know your sister. Her dog's a gold retriever with one eye, Lucky right?"
"We sometime call him Pizza Dog because he likes pizza, but yes." Beca confirmed.
"Oh, I hope they don't feed him pizza a lot." Chloe chided. "I'll have to remember that next time they come in."
"She's a vet." Aubrey explained, smiling at her wife.
"Yeah, sorry, I just like helping out here on my off days." Chloe said, handing the brunette couple one of her cards. "Not that you have to choose me, but if you'd like to, here's my info."
"Thank you." Stacie said, taking the card from the redhead. "So what do you recommend for Kitty?"
"We could make lots of recommendations." Aubrey said, glancing around the store. "We recently adopted a puppy ourselves so we know what you're going through."
"Plus, you're professionals." Beca added, looking around herself.
"That too." Aubrey nodded. "I get the feeling you two are going to be in here a lot, I think we'll become good friends, if you'd like, our friends Ashley and Jessica have a little café not far from here that's pet friendly, we could maybe introduce Kitty and our furbaby Elle sometime, and we'll get to know each other better too."
"That sounds great." Stacie grinned. "I think the four of us are going to get along quite well."
