3/14/22- Slight update
Hazbin Hotel Lobby
Vaggie
"That goddamned iron-faced bastarda." Said Vaggie as she thought of Mordekaiser and how he just brushed off everyone and not giving a damn about Charlie being missing. He may not get on her nerves as much as Alastor, but he was just so goddamned irritating with how he cared only about what he desired and nothing else. And to make matters worse, he was so powerful that Vaggie could do nothing to him, just like fucking Alastor.
Pacing around her and Charlie's personal room in the hotel, she wondered what the fuck he wanted from them. At first, she thought it was Charlie coming back home, but it turned out to just be Mordekaiser, coming to take something for himself. This enraged Vaggie as Mordekaiser was supposed to be supportive of the hotel and its problem, helping out whenever it's possible. Instead, Mordekaiser is just taking what he wants and ignoring the situation the hotel has with its missing owner.
She knew that this was behavior common with pretty much every other Overlord, prince, or any other leader within Hell, but it still left her pretty frustrated and angry whenever it happens. It also doesn't help that she's the girlfriend of Charlie and thus more worried about her disappearance than literally every other person in the hotel. Perhaps even in all of Hell, baring Charlie's own parents. So she wasn't exactly in the mood to deal with the typical bullshit of those in charge in Hell.
As she was trying to calm down from her most recent upset, Angel Dust decided that it was a good idea to annoy her as she came into her and Charlie's room, arms outstretched and a smile on his fucking face.
"Hey, how's it going? See anything you like?" Asked Angel Dust so casually it pissed Vaggie off. How could he be so calm when Charlie was missing!? To top it all off, he's fucking hitting on her!
Giving a glare at Angel Dust for both being so fucking casual and for barging into her room, Vaggie yelled at him with as much power she can possibly give right now.
"Charlie is fucking missing and you're acting as if nothing is wrong!" Yelled Vaggie with a glare. She hated Angel Dust, but she really didn't expect him to pull this shit off while someone was missing. Someone that did her darndest to try and help him to become a better person, even if he didn't deserve it.
"Well, what can I do?" Asked Angel Dust with a shrug. "Ain't like I got any special talents that can help out anyone is looking for her. Besides, we got the strawberry pimp and a whole bunch of those edge lords out looking for her. Charlie's going to be found if what you told me about those edge lords and the strawberry pimp are true." Vaggie just growled at Angel Dust and was about to yell at him when Angel Dust spoke up again.
"Besides, if you want actual help, then why don't you get that other investor to help? That classy woman. She's here right now in the hotel. She's out asking for Charlie right now. For what, I ain't got an idea. Just came here to let you know."
Surprised to hear that Rosie was here, Vaggie left her room with Angel Dust, not trusting him to stay there with her and Charlie's stuff. After locking the door, the two departed to meet up with Rosie, the silver-haired sinner knowing it wouldn't do to keep an Overlord waiting. Coming back down to the lobby, she found Rosie there with a bunch of Imps and a denizen of the Immortal Bastion. Seeing Rosie looking around, Vaggie spoke to the Overlord as she made her way down the stairs.
"Miss Rosie, why are you here?" Asked Vaggie, causing Rosie to turn her head towards Vaggie. Smiling at the woman, Rosie was about to respond to the question when a portal suddenly opened in the lobby, and out came her son, stunning Rosie a bit. Looking around, Sahn-Ikal was a bit surprised to see his mother back at the hotel and with someone from the Immortal Bastion on top of it.
Seeing his mother, he was about to ask her what she was doing here when they all suddenly heard screaming from the upper floors, causing everyone to look up towards the upper floors.
"Sona?!" Yelled Vaggie as she summoned a harpoon and went straight up. If she was screaming, then someone was attacking her. As she was running towards the upper floors, she was stopped by one of the Iron Guards still left in the hotel in a hallway. Baring her way, the Iron Guard soldier stood still as Vaggie tried to get past him to no avail. Annoyed, Vaggie ordered him to move, but he didn't.
"What the hell!?" Yelled Vaggie as she glared at the Iron Guard soldier. "Get the hell out of the way! A patron is in danger. I need to go help them and so do you! Why the hell are you getting in my way!?" As she was arguing with the Iron Guard soldier, Rosie was making her way towards the commotion along with the white-haired Imp. Raising an eyebrow at what was going on, Rosie wondered why the Iron Guard was acting this way towards Vaggie along with the Imp. As far as the Imp could recollect, they were utterly obedient to whomever they were ordered to serve, regardless of their opinions of them. That was the story around them, at least. Moxxie never had the chance to actually converse with one. He only met them a few times and they were always either guarding their lord and master, Mordekaiser, or doing something of greater importance than talking with a lowly Imp such as himself.
Rosie, meanwhile, was getting concerned with a sudden dark feeling that she was receiving. Something was wrong with this Iron Guard and she had a feeling that it wasn't anything good for anyone.
She was about to warn Vaggie to get away from the Iron Guard when it suddenly brought out its jagged sword and rammed it straight into Vaggie's gut.
"What the!?" Yelled Moxxie as he dropped to the ground in shock at seeing this happen. Rosie, meanwhile, had already sent a gust of wind against the Iron Guard. The wind was strong enough to send him flying across the hallway, his grip on his sword loosened and forcing him to let it go. With the Iron Guard out of the way, Rosie quickly grabbed Vaggie as she was falling to the ground in shock and pain, blooding dripping from her mouth.
"The fuck was that?" Asked Vaggie weakly as she looked at her gut and saw black blood spill from her wound. The pain she felt right now was something she never felt before, even when she died. It was like her very soul was being drained from her body and being absorbed by the blade that was, just for a few seconds, in her gut. She recalled hearing that Immortal Bastion weapons were capable of draining the souls of those they hit, but she didn't put much thought into them. Now she regretted it.
Rosie, meanwhile, didn't say anything as the Iron Guard soldier got up and charged at the three, his heavy steps making cracks in the floor as he charged. Glaring at the Iron Guard warrior, Rosie's eyes turned became less a calm ocean to a black hurricane with veins appearing around them as she unleashed her powers on the Iron Guard soldier. Like all other Overlords, she possessed powers that were only surpassed by certain princes and lords of Hell.
With a snap of her fingers, she had black shadows grab the Iron Guard soldier and have them pull him apart before smashing him into little, tiny pieces. As her shadows did their task, Rosie had another shadow pull out the sword from Vaggie's gut, unwilling to dirty her hands with the sinner's blood. She just had them washed!
Coughing out blood as Moxxie rushed over to stem the bleeding, Vaggie looked at Rosie and was about to ask a question when they heard screaming throughout the hotel, causing Vaggie to widen her eyes and try to get up, only for Rosie to force her down.
"Now. Now." Scolded Rosie as she held Vaggie firmly in place while Moxxie held her wound, both to stem the bleeding and to make sure her insides don't spill out. "It would not be lady-like for a fine young lady such as yourself to spill your insides and blood all over these beautiful floors. Stay here, I'll deal with the problems propagating your hotel." Vaggie wanted to protest and so did Moxxie, but Rosie was already gone through a portal of her own design, leaving Moxxie and Vaggie alone. With Rosie gone, Moxxie yelled out for help, which was soon heard by both Millie and Blitzo. They both were shocked at what they saw. Body parts were everywhere and Moxxie tending to one of the hotel staff.
"Moxxie!" Yelled Millie as she ran towards her husband, worried for him.
"I'm fine, honey." Said Moxxie as she knelt next to him. "She's not, however. I need a first-aid kit."
"There's…*Coughs out blood*…a first aid kit in the lobby. Under the lobby desk." Said Vaggie while coughing out blood. Upon hearing that, Millie ran down the lobby to get it, leaving Blitzo to wonder what the fuck is going on.
"The fuck is going on!? And where the fuck is uptight bitch!?" Yelled Blitzo as he looked at Moxxie. He and the others were wondering what the screaming was when they heard more screaming coming upstairs. It caused that new guy to go the other set of stairs with Crucian to find out what was going on, leaving everyone else to go find Vaggie.
"I don't know sir, but one of the Iron Guard soldiers attack this woman." Explained Moxxie, shocking Blitzo a bit. "Rosie destroyed him, but now we got screams coming everywhere in the hotel. Rosie went to investigate and I'm hoping that she's safe."
"Wait, you let her go alone!?" Yelled Blitzo before grabbing his horns in frustration. "The fuck you doing Moxxie!? Mordekaiser is going to kill us if Rosie gets hurt in any way."
"I couldn't exactly follow her!" Protested Moxxie, knowing full well that what Blitzo said was a complete possibility. "She went through a portal and took off, leaving us here."
"I don't give a shit about your excuses, Mox!" Yelled Blitzo as he brought out his flintlock pistol before running past him to find Rosie before she ends up getting hurt or worse.
"I got it, Moxxie!" Yelled Millie as she came with the first aid kit. With her were Angel Dust and Husk, both of whom were stunned or shocked at seeing Vaggie wounded.
"The fuck is this?" Asked Angel Dust as he saw Vaggie in the state that she was in. "How the fuck did you end up this banged up?"
"Fucking…*Coughs out blood*…Iron Guard did this." Said Vaggie with a glare. "Fucker stabbed me in the gut. No warning or anything. Just fucking stabbed me in the gut. Probably would have done more if Rosie didn't stop him." Both Husk and Angel Dust were stunned to hear that. One of the Iron Guard did that? Why would they do that? Weren't they here to protect them from harm? Not fucking harm them? Before either of them can say anything, they heard screaming from the upper floors. When she heard the screaming, Vaggie tried to get up, but was forced down by Millie.
"No way, you're going to fight like this!" Yelled Millie as she held Vaggie down while Moxxie did his work. "You're staying here until we patch you up! Trust me, you're not going to be of any help while you're like this!" Vaggie glared at Millie and got into a fight with her.
"Fuck that!" Yelled Vaggie. "This hotel's staff and patrons are under attack by the very people that are supposed to protect them! I'm not going to let them die while I'm laying down on the ground! So, let me fucking fight!"
"Fuck that!" Yelled Millie with a glare. "All you're going to do is get yourself killed! So just shut the fuck up and let us patch you up so you can fight later!" As the two fought each other verbally, the men heard more screaming and were unsure of what to do. They got their answer, however, when an Iron Guard soldier came crashing down from the upper floors and straight into their floor. Looking at the group, the Iron Guard soldier got up and brought out a scary-looking halberd.
"Oh, come the fuck on!" Yelled Angel Dust before bringing out a Tommy gun with one pair of hands while the other pair brought out two bats.
"Tell me about it." Said Husk as he brought out a double-barrel shotgun. Millie, meanwhile, brought out an ax and readied herself for a fight with the Iron Guard soldier as he charged right at them.
Meanwhile
Mayberry had to cover her mouth with both of her hands in order to prevent her from screaming as she watched from her hiding spot, which was just her hiding under a table, an Iron Guard soldier rip her counselor in half, ignoring the screams from the demon. She then watched as another one started to disembowel a patron of the hotel with a jagged knife, making it as painful as possible. Mayberry, scared out of her mind and fearful of her own life, watched as this happened while hiding. She couldn't believe this was happening.
One moment, everything was fine as much as it could be with the princess missing and one of Hell's most powerful lords coming to visit, then the next screams were heard from the upper floors, confusing and shocking everyone from Mayberry's floor. Hearing them, Mayberry instinctively hid under a table while everyone else was trying to figure out what was going on. That was when the Iron Guard came to Mayberry's floor with their normal bluish-green colors turned into a darker variation of them and began murdering anyone that they could find. Often brutally so.
Unsure of what to make of this, Mayberry continued to hide under the table as the Iron Guard murdered everyone, knowing too well that she was unable to fight off any of the Iron Guard. They weren't some trash rabble in Hell that she can easily avoid. They're elite soldiers that serve one of the most ambitious and powerful lords in Hell. What chance did she have against any of them?
As Mayberry watched as they finished off the remaining, she couldn't help but wonder why Mordekaiser was doing this. Did something happen that made him do this? If so, what was it? Did he not fear Lucifer's wrath? Was he planning on taking over all of Hell? Or was something happening to the Iron Guard that was making them act this way? If so, what was it?
These questions and more were perpetuating Mayberry's mind as she tried to make sense of everything that's happening right now. Unfortunately for her, she was unable to figure them out when an Iron Guard soldier grabbed her tail and pulled her from her hiding spot. Screaming out in panic and pain, Mayberry looked at the Iron Guard soldier, wielding a sword in one hand while the other held her tail. Begging for her life, Mayberry tried in vain to have the soldiers spare her as more converged on her. None of them listened to her pleas and instead raised their weapons high, causing her to scream out and close her eyes, anticipating what will come very soon. Except it didn't.
Instead of the sounds of weapons rushing down to kill her, Mayberry heard the sounds of tentacles popping out and grabbing something. Opening her eyes, she saw various tentacles grabbing the Iron Guard soldiers and holding them in place, the soldiers doing their best to free themselves from their confines.
"Well, this is certainly something surprising." Said a refined female voice, filled with elegance. Turning to face the voice, Mayberry saw Rosie walking towards her with a smile. "Aren't you all supposed to be protecting these people? Not killing them brutally?" Rosie then looked at Mayberry on the floor and soon helped her up. "Honestly, you all should be ashamed of yourselves. I very much doubt that Mordekaiser put you all up to this, so that means someone is controlling you all." Rosie then walked towards one Iron Guard soldier, struggling to free himself. Turning his head towards her, she asked the soldier who it was. Instead of answering, the Iron Guard soldier simply headbutted her so hard that bones were heard cracking.
Taking a few steps back, Rosie placed a hand on her forehead before having the tentacle holding the Iron Guard soldier in place crush him, causing teal-colored blood to spill everywhere as the sounds of metal being crushed was heard. Retracting her hand from her forehead, Rosie saw blood on it, and she growled. She also felt her right eye was swelling up because of the hit, causing her to use her powers to heal herself.
"I see Mordekaiser didn't teach his soldiers proper etiquette." Said Rosie as her body healed. "Typical. He truly needs me in that regard if his advisors weren't able to convince him that proper etiquette is necessary for all endeavors. Including one's soldiers." She then looked at the other soldiers close to freeing themselves, causing her to form more tentacles to subdue them further. She continued to do so until they can move no longer. With that done, she looked at Mayberry and ordered her to head downstairs where it was safe.
"What about you?" Asked Mayberry as she looked at the Overlord. Rosie simply smiled at her.
"Well, I can't let my employees or investment go to waste because of mind-controlled underlings, yes?" Asked Rosie rhetorically. She soon shooed Mayberry away, causing the Sinner to leave, eager to head to safety. Once she was gone, Rosie frowned as she thought of how Mordekaiser's soldiers were under the control of someone else.
Mordekaiser had absolute control over his underlings so how can someone override his will over his subjects? Was one of the seven deadly sins doing this? Or even Lucifer? It didn't really suit any of their styles to do so, even if they all think Mordekaiser is an upstart Sinner with no class. It can't be an Overlord as none of them really desired angering Mordekaiser, who was more useful to them alive than dead or overthrown.
One of the royal families, perhaps? She certainly can see the Eldritch family doing so. None of them were particularly bright when it comes to plans.
As she was pondering more about all this, she suddenly heard the screams of someone and it was nearby. Teleporting to the source, Rosie saw what was happening and blinked in surprise.
"Mordekaiser?" Asked Rosie upon seeing the man she loved using his magic against a poor sinner, causing the woman to scream in octaves that shouldn't be possible. Stunned at seeing this, Rosie was about to say something when she sensed something was terribly wrong with her son. Something very terrible.
Thus, without a word to say to Mordekaiser, she immediately teleported away, leaving the Iron Revenant a bit perplexed with what she just did. Wanting to follow her, Mordekaiser entrapped Sona in a ghostly claw before pursing the female Overlord.
Meanwhile
"Keep your guard up, fool." Said Crucian as he tossed a throwing knife to an Iron Guard soldier that was about to stab Sahn-Ikal with his halberd while the boy was busy defending himself and a few Sinners from another Iron Guard soldier. Crucian then tackled the halberd wielder to the ground and engaged in a fistfight with him.
Gritting his teeth at being saved, Sahn-Ikal tried to push back against the Iron Guard soldier he was fighting with, using the sword that he came to the hotel with as leverage to push the soldier away from him. An elegant sword forged by a friend of his mother that looked more like a rapier than a normal sword. The Iron Guard soldier, however, simply pushed back, his own sword contrasting deeply with Sahn-Ikal's elegant sword. Unlike the rapier-like sword, the Iron Guard soldier's sword was bereft of elegance and outfitted with a sharpened edge that can easily cut through flesh and armor with ease. Much like all other Immortal Bastion weaponry, it focused more on damaging an opponent than looking regal or flashy, like those from the other citizens of Hell.
This had been going on since Crucian and Sahn-Ikal came upstairs to find out the source of the screaming. They were quickly making their way to it when they saw three Iron Guard soldiers attacking the hotel's staff and patrons. Shocked at this, the two men shook off their shock and began defending the hotel staff and patrons from the Iron Guard. Crucian knocked one out while Sahn-Ikal was defending the survivors from another. The third was the one that Crucian was in a fistfight with.
Seeing the stalemate before them, the soldier soon brought out a razor-sharp dagger from a scabbard around his waist and stabbed it at Sahn-Ikal's right leg. Screaming out in pain, Sahn-Ikal felt his soul being drained by the dagger, distracting him enough that the Iron Guard backhanded him away, sending him flying towards a table, breaking it. As the son of Rosie and Mordekaiser writhed in pain from the dagger in his right leg, the Iron Guard soldier looked at the remaining survivors, who were huddled together in fear of the soldiers meant to protect them. Uncaring of the fear from the people, the soldier was about to attack when he saw Crucian coming towards him, having defeated his second opponent. The two soon engaged in battle with Crucian dodging the Iron Guard's attacks, waiting for an opening that he can exploit to appear, having used all his weapons on the previous two Iron Guard soldiers, something that the spymaster regretted as he needed to speak to his master about Rosie and this Sahn-Ikal. Something that he really needed to know.
It wasn't seen by all but him, but Crucian saw something beneath the stunned look on both of them when they saw each other at the lobby of the hotel. It wasn't something that one gives to a stranger or an employee and an employer. Nor was it something that people give to friends. It was something that only a mother can give to a child she loved deeply. And vice versa. That, combined with everything else he knew about Sahn-Ikal along with Rosie's history with Mordekaiser, which was everything as Mordekaiser trusted him along with all of his inner circle, made the spymaster come to a shocking conclusion. One that he wished to speak to him quickly, but couldn't because of the Iron Guard soldiers attacking the hotel staff and patrons.
This was also something that he needed to speak with Mordekaiser about. The fact Rosie named her son with the naming conventions of Mordekaiser's tribe was something he needed to know. That and the very distinct possibility of who the boy's father is was something Mordekaiser also needed to know. After all, shouldn't a potential father know about his son?
Dodging another attack, Crucian saw a sword nearby and grabbed it before utilizing it to block and parry the blows of his opponent. The two then engaged in a sword fight that a clear victory was not clear to the spectators, which were getting smaller as the Sinners all left to head downstairs for safety. Soon, only Sahn-Ikal was left and he looked at the fight between Crucian and the Iron Guard soldier with gritted teeth. Looking at his sword nearby, the boy grabbed it and got up. His right leg flared up in pain as he put pressure on it, but the boy ignored it and slowly advanced at the two fighters. Crucian spotted this and scolded the boy internally. Still, he continued to fight the Iron Guard soldier, keeping the soldier distracted from the boy as he made his way towards the soldier, the pain in his right leg increasing in intensity as he walked.
Soon he arrived at the back of the soldier before he raised his sword and stabbed the soldier's neck with it. The Iron Guard soldier made a screeching noise upon being stabbed, but that was quickly silenced when Crucian used his sword and stabbed the Iron Guard soldier in the eye with all his might, going straight from the socket to where his brain was. Crucian then brought out a small glass vial from his person and opened it up. Soon, the essence of the Iron Guard, along with the two others, were absorbed into the vial, leaving empty husks of armor. With the threat gone, Sahn-Ikal dropped to the ground in pain, holding his right leg in order to stem the bleeding. Looking at Sahn-Ikal, Crucian placed the vial back where it belonged, literally inside him via an opening in his chest that slide back into place after he placed the vial there, before going over to tend to Sahn-Ikal.
"You fought decently enough." Said Crucian as he grabbed some nearby sheets from a nearby cart before using them to make a makeshift bandage. "However, you lack experience in the battlefield. This made you susceptible to out-of-the-box thinking or tactics that typical training can prepare you for. You're fortunate that I was here, otherwise, your mother would get…difficult to converse with." Upon hearing that, Sahn-Ikal looked at Crucian in shock.
"How did you…" Crucian then interrupted the boy.
"I am Mordekaiser's spymaster." Said Crucian simply. "It's part of my duty to be aware and find the details and motivations of others in even the slightest of gestures and postures. You should not be surprised at this. Mordekaiser only allows the best to be a part of his inner circle." Sahn-Ikal sighed upon hearing all that.
"Then I guess you know who my father is as well?" Asked Sahn-Ikal, causing Crucian to nod. "I see, then the deal I have with Alastor is forfeit. At least, I hope so."
"You made a deal with a dealmaker?" Asked Crucian. If he could, he would have raised an eyebrow at such a stupid move. "A poor move unless you made the deal with way to exploit loopholes and such."
"I know." Said Sahn-Ikal as he looked at his bandaged leg. "But I needed to get out of my mother's emporium and Alastor was the only way available to me." Crucian just stayed silent upon hearing that, making a note of this so that he can inform Mordekaiser of this. No doubt the revenant will want to get this boy out of Alastor's deal if only to scold and punish the boy for doing so in the first place.
Helping Sahn-Ikal up, the two were about to leave to find Rosie when they both suddenly heard a scream. A scream that Crucian knew.
"Blitzo?" Thought Crucian in surprise. Noting that it was coming close by. Both he and Sahn-Ikal ran towards the source. When they found it, they both were in shock at what they saw.
Bloody and full of bruises, Blitzo was being held by his horns by a shadowy figure with no legs and blades attached to greaves. Around them were various bodies of sinners and other types of demons. Glaring at Blitzo, the figure saw Sahn-Ikal and Crucian at the edge of his vision. Seeing them, the figure looked at the two before speaking.
"I see that the son of Mordekaiser still breathes." Said the figure as he glared at the two, Sahn-Ikal in particular. "No matter. That can be easily rectified." Before either Crucian or Sahn-Ikal can speak, the figure gripped Blitzo's horns tightly. He then tore them off before using them as projectiles at Crucian and Sahn-Ikal. The two quickly dodged the attack. Unfortunately, the figure used this as an opportunity to charge at them after dropping Blitzo. Zipping at them in speeds they didn't expect, the figure swatted Crucian aside like he was nothing, sending him crashing through several walls before using his blades to stab Sahn-Ikal in the chest, making him scream in pain. Twisting and churning his blades, the figure gave Sahn-Ikal a demented chuckle before retracting his blades from his flesh and beginning to slash and slice at him.
Making multiple slashes all over Sahn-Ikal's body, the figure was about to make his seventh pair of slashes when he was suddenly pushed away from the natural-born demon by a gush of wind. Pushing away from the boy, the figure glared at the source of that, only to see it was Rosie, completely angered and enraged with what she just saw. Having teleported to see where her son was, Rosie found him being mauled by a shadowy figure and everything went blank.
Stunned at seeing the Overlord, the figure realized that he needed to escape and thus did so. Seeing this, Rosie tried to capture it with summoned tentacles but the figure created some sort of barrier around him that deflected her attempts to capture it. If she wasn't so full of rage, Rosie would be stunned at what she saw. Screaming out in anger, Rosie was about to summon the full brunt of her powers when she heard a gurgle from her son. Hearing it, Rosie realized he was in danger of getting killed if she unleashed the full brunt of her powers. So she stopped and allowed the being to escape, using its powers to fade into the shadows. Caring more for her son than pursuing the monster that hurt him, Rosie rushed over to Sahn-Ikal, clutching him in her arms. Worry filling her along with dread, Rosie saw just how hurt and mauled her son was and it left her nearly expelling what food she consumed today.
His chest had several lacerations on it, showing his internal organs, and his stomach had the same injuries, only his guts were in the process of nearly spilling out. And his beautiful face was so mauled that it was nearly unrecognizable to her. Her typical smile off her face, it had been since she saw her son getting mauled, she used her powers to desperately heal her son, pressing her hands on the wounds in a desperate bid to save him.
"Please. Please don't die." Said Rosie as she looked at the demon with tears flowing down her face, not caring if anyone saw her in this state at all. Fortunately for her, the only person that saw this way was one of the few she cared little if they saw her in such an emotional state. Walking down a flight of stairs and walking towards a hallway, Mordekaiser, with Sona in tow, still in the clawed hand, saw Rosie in such a teary state and was stunned at seeing such a usually composed Overlord act such a way towards anyone not him. This demon must be important to her if she was acting this way. Looking at the demon, Mordekaiser tried to figure out what the demon's identity was.
Seeing his features, despite the mauling the demon child suffered from that creature, Mordekaiser can see that he held the features of him when he was alive, but not completely. This, along with the fact that Mordekaiser sensed a twinge of familiarity around him that could only come from those that shared his tribe's lineage yet he didn't know him at all, confirmed to him that this boy was Sahn-Ikal, the demon named with the naming conventions of the tribe that he was a part of when he was a mortal. But that didn't confirm the boy's exact relations to him and his tribe. That, however, can be solved with a simple memory search spell, Mordekaiser soon did, utilizing his powers to dwell into the boy's mind while Rosie healed him. When he did, however, he was stunned at what he found.
Sensing the demon's soul, Mordekaiser can see this demon wasn't a part of his tribe at all. No, he just had a name that was based on the naming conventions of his tribe. Instead, the boy's connection with him was deeper than he thought. He was…his son and Rosie was his mother. Stunned, Mordekaiser watched as Rosie desperately healed her son as his life was starting to fade before her.
