Chapter 21
LezGo35- Well, it's the other stories and the fact that I'm trying to figure out which path to take for the Enclave story. But rest assured, I'm doing the best I can to update that story
Guest- You'll see.
Charlie
"Stay still." Said Helska as she inspected Charlie for any other injuries that she and Dryska failed to spot while patching her up. The two had managed to heal her up as best they could, but they needed to do a final checkup just to be sure that they treated her for everything lethal. It wouldn't do if she died because of their incompetence. That would look badly both for them and for their mistress.
Charlie just whined as Helska brought out an X-Ray machine and turned it on, giving her a tingly feeling.
"Can't you use one of the newer ones?" Asked Charlie as the Helska inspected the Princess' skeletal structure.
"I would, if a certain someone didn't break my last one." Said Helska, one of her eyes looking towards her sister, who gave her the finger.
"Not my fault you forgot to feed my crab." Said Dryska as she glared at her sister, causing Helska to roll her eyes.
"That was entirely on you." Said Helska as she finished inspecting the princess. Putting the X-Ray machine away. "Well princess, I can safely say that you completely healed. My concoctions, combined with your natural regeneration, healed all the damages that demon did to you. You're completely free to go." Upon hearing that, Charlie smiled before jumping off the chair she was sitting on.
"Thanks for everything." Said Charlie as she looked at the taller, but skinner demon with a big smile. "I really appreciate everything that you do for me. I really owe you both big time." Helska just raised her hand at that.
"No need for thanks, princess." Said Helska. "Our Overlord will be very upset at us if we allowed you to die under our care. She's not the most forgiving when it comes to incompetence." Charlie just frowned at that, a bit upset to hear that.
"That's mean. You did your best. You didn't do anything wrong." Said Charlie, upset that Rosie would do such a thing to her employees. She knew that Rosie was their Overlord because of the fact that they teleported to Rosie's emporium, and she saw various demons that she knew worked for Rosie. That and she asked them who their Overlord was and they said it was Rosie.
"Trust me, princess, Rosie doesn't like to get her hands dirty, but when she has to, she's very ruthless, especially when it comes to with dealing incompetent employees." Said Helska, remembering the last time someone failed her. They were still finding bits and pieces of that demonette in the lower levels of the emporium. Charlie frown deepened upon hearing that, a bit upset with Rosie, but decided to let it go. She was upset with a lot of Overlords, princes, and princesses in Hell. Moving on, she held out her hand to Helska, which the demonette took with some hesitance.
"Well, thanks for everything again." Said Charlie. "Now I need to go back to my hotel and assure everyone that I'm alright. I hope that news hasn't spread about me being dead. Oh god, my parents will throw such a fit about it."
"Oh, I have no doubt about that." Said Helska, knowing about the political shitstorm that was just waiting to happen. Videos and pictures of Charlie being assaulted by that shadowy monster were already on Vox Net. Though many leaders in Hell weren't as technologically inclined as a few others, she knew it would only be a matter of time before everyone knew of it, and thus the scandals and power plays can begin.
Some royal families may see this as a sign that the Magne family is weak and may try to overthrow Lucifer or, at the very least, take some of his territories from him. Others may see him as weak for spawning such a weak child that was so easily tossed around by others, thus mocking him for it. And there were a bunch of other ways that will come from this. None of them positive. She was honestly surprised that Lucifer didn't make a move yet, concerning all this. Then again, it's possible he was. Just not in the way that it was easily shown. It's what Rosie would do.
"Do you want us to escort you to the hotel?" Asked Dryska as she twirled a knife. "That thing that attacked you could still be out there, waiting to strike." Charlie was about to reply no when Helska got a call. Bringing out her phone, Helska answered it and asked who it is. Both Dryska and Charlie watched as Helska's eyes widened in shock and horror as she listened to the person she was on the phone with. Eventually, she ended the call and looked at both her sister and Charlie.
"We need to go to the hotel now." Said Helska urgently, causing both Charlie and Dryska to look at her in worry, both worried about the tone she used.
"Why?" Asked Charlie, scared about the answer. Helska just replied back.
"Your hotel staff fought amongst each other and there have been fatalities." Said Helska, causing Charlie to widen her eyes in horror.
Few minutes later
Hazbin Hotel
"Well, this is rather…messy." Said Alastor as he looked upon the people in the lobby of the hotel, all either tending to the wounded or groaning in pain because of their injuries. After returning back from searching for the princess, he saw people being tended to for their injuries while disposing of the bodies of the dead outside. Furniture was also being tossed because of the damage they received along with the husks of dead Iron Guard soldiers with more hostility than Alastor imagined. Husk, who was nursing both his stomach and leg, a result of his fight with the Iron Guard soldier, gave Alastor the middle finger.
"Fuck you, Alastor. Fuck you." Said Husk as he glared at the Radio Demon, causing Alastor to widen his smile. Moving on, he looked at a corpse of a demon that was ripped in half by an Iron Guard soldier. It was a big muscular demon, showing the strength of the Iron Guard soldier that did it. Humming to himself, Alastor walked past Husk and towards Vaggie, who was being patched up by two Imps.
"So, may I ask who is responsible for all this?" Asked Alastor, causing Vaggie to glare at him.
"What's it looks like, bastarda." Said Vaggie before she winced in pain from her injury. It still hurt like a bitch despite being given painkillers for it. "The fucking guys responsible for protecting us ended up trying to kill us and the bastard in charge of them is focusing on helping just one fucking person along with that puta friend of yours!" Upon hearing that, Alastor raised an eyebrow. Humming as he cradled his chin, Alastor quickly summoned a shadow and ordered it to find Rosie and Mordekaiser, which it did without hesitation. A few minutes later, it returned and informed Alastor where the two are. With that, Alastor quickly left Vaggie, leaving the Sinner infuriated.
"Argh!" Yelled Vaggie in frustration. She then winced in pain as she reopened her wound, causing blood to stain her bandages.
"Ma'am please calm down." Said Moxxie as he saw this. "You're just making things worse for you." As the Imp removed her bandages to reapply new ones, Vaggie just growled as she tried to calm herself. Between her frustrations with what happened at the hotel, Charlie being missing, and the Overlords doing nothing but caring only for themselves or a select few, Vaggie was having a hard time controlling her temper. She wanted to punch something so bad right now. Preferably Rosie, Alastor, or Mordekaiser. Or better yet, have Charlie here so she can be around something that can give her some form of comfort in the whole sea of shit that was happening right now. But she wasn't and Vaggie was forced to stand alone in a sea of moaning and misery around her. And she hated it. Even despaired in it.
Growling to herself, Vaggie was close to just thrashing around when a portal opened up and out came Charlie along with two other female demonettes, causing Vaggie to widen her eye in shock. Upon seeing what happened, Charlie let out a gasp of horror. Looking around, she saw Vaggie and instantly ran over to her girlfriend. Kneeling before her, Charlie looked at her before looking at Vaggie with her big puppy eyes that soon began to tremble and quiver with tears.
"Vaggie." Said Charlie with tears. "I…I'm so sorry." Vaggie, seeing the sorrow in Charlie's eyes, was about to speak when they all heard some screaming upstairs, causing everyone to look up in fear, knowing who was up there.
Meanwhile
Rosie
"Please. Please just live." Thought Rosie as Mordekaiser tended to her son, using his magic to heal him from his injuries. Standing around, Rosie watched as Mordekaiser healed her son, having taken over because her emotions were starting to affect her abilities. Despite what some people thought, Mordekaiser was able to heal people from their injuries, finding it practical to know some form of healing. "I…can't lose you."
After finding her son, Rosie tended to him as best as she could while Mordekaiser left to stop the fighting. To the curiosity and interest of the Iron Revenant, Mordekaiser was unable to exert his will on the Iron Guard soldiers, no matter how hard he tried. Some strange magic was preventing his will from being exerted over his soldiers. Therefore, Mordekaiser was forced to destroy them all, something that a part of him found glee in. His barbaric side. The side that had been dormant for so long since he founded his kingdom. And he relished satiating it. It had been so long since he destroyed something. If only it was something else other than his own soldiers. After obliterating the last of his traitorous soldiers, Mordekaiser went to find Rosie and her son in order to find out about the boy and why he was kept from him.
Upon finding them, however, he saw that Rosie was failing to heal him and it was clearly affecting her. Whether it was due to the nature of the boy's injuries or her emotional state, Mordekaiser couldn't tell. Nonetheless, seeing the boy was close to true death, Mordekaiser took over healing him and managed to succeed where Rosie failed, much to Rosie's relief. Thus, their situation right now. Mordekaiser healing Sahn-Ikal with Rosie watching with a worried expression on her face.
Healing Sahn-Ikal's most grievous of wounds, whose nature intrigued Mordekaiser, the Iron Revenant spoke.
"When were you going to tell me about this boy?" Asked Mordekaiser, causing Rosie to snap out of her worry and looked at Mordekaiser.
"What?" Asked Rosie, too stuck in her worry to properly hear Mordekaiser.
"The boy. Why did you keep him from me? And when was he sired?" Asked Mordekaiser. Rosie just sighed before explaining. She was a little annoyed that Mordekaiser chose now to talk about this, but he deserved to know the truth. It was long overdue at this point.
"Did you recall the time we had sex over two hundred years ago?" Asked Rosie. Mordekaiser narrowed his eyes at that, remembering that day. If he was conceived on that day then Rosie kept knowledge of his son from him for over two hundred years.
"You kept him a secret from me that long?" Asked Mordekaiser in slight anger. Rosie just nodded, causing Mordekaiser to growl. "Why?"
"An angel blackmailed me." Said Rosie, causing Mordekaiser to look at her in surprise. "She's the reason why I refused your offer to be your queen all those years ago. She first threatened my life then the life of our son if I ever revealed him to you or her presence. I…I'm sorry." Mordekaiser stayed silent at this information before speaking.
"Was she an Exterminator?" Asked Mordekaiser, causing Rosie to shake her head.
"No, it was a full-blown angel warrior." Said Rosie. Mordekaiser hummed at that. That was an interesting revelation. A full-blown angel warrior? Threatening Rosie? Why? She was just a weak Overlord at the time. One of the dozens in Hell. Why her? Did this angel know about Rosie's part in his ascension? If so, how?
So many questions and so little information to go around. Mordekaiser didn't like it, but he had to deal with it. Right now, though, he had more than a few situations to deal with. One of them being the Hotel staff and how to properly explain what happened because he was sure as hell didn't know who was responsible for it. Well, not yet. Looking at Sona, who was struggling to escape from the ghostly claw that was holding her in place behind Rosie. With all that she told him prior to him capturing her, he was certain that she can help alleviate some of the confusion around why his guards turned upon the hotel staff as well as informing him of who is ultimately responsible for this entire situation. She may even tell him about the creature that attacked Sahn-Ikal, though if she did, he'll most likely have to protect her from Rosie.
At the moment, Rosie didn't know about his suspicions of Sona's involvement in this whole situation because if she did, Mordekaiser was certain Sona's entrails and blood will be all over the hallway they were in. Then again, if he convinced Rosie that Sona will be tortured far more if she was left "alive" or if he convinced her to only permanently destroy her when she was milked of all her usefulness, then he'll let the Overlord have her.
Moving on from that question, Mordekaiser asked her why she didn't try to secretly tell him.
"The Angel placed a sort of bomb inside me before I had my son." Said Rosie, wincing as she recalled the memory. "I try to tell you what's going on, it goes off. That's what she told me at least, but I wasn't taking any chances." Mordekaiser hummed at that. "And when I had my son. She used him over the bomb to ensure my compliance. I don't think I need to tell you about my reasoning for complying with that Angel's wishes." Mordekaiser just nodded at that, knowing why she complied with the Angel's demands. Motherly care for one's children can be a burden and a weakness at times.
"Then I suppose that your son took matters into his own hands by working here, yes?" Asked Mordekaiser, causing Rosie to nod.
"Yes." Said Rosie as Mordekaiser went to heal her son's facial wounds. "He made a deal with Alastor, and you know how sacred and oath-bidding deals are." Mordekaiser just nodded at that. He'll have to talk to both Alastor and Sahn-Ikal about this later, provided the latter lived of course. "And that's everything to it. I believe you can figure out the rest."
"I see." Said Mordekaiser before asking another question. "If I may ask, why were you on the run? Why were you moving from place to place?" Recalling Crucian and those Imps, Rosie realized they've been watching her for some time now. How long, she didn't know, but it didn't matter.
"That angel I spoke about attacked me soon after my son started working here." Explained Rosie. "I got away, but I needed to move constantly in order to avoid her. It seemed to have worked as I never saw her after that." Mordekaiser hummed at that.
"I see." Said Mordekaiser. He was about to ask another question when Alastor appeared before them, a smile on his face. Upon seeing the scene before him, Alastor rose an eyebrow before speaking up.
"I suppose now is not a good time to interrupt." Said Alastor as Rosie and Mordekaiser looked at him. Upon seeing Alastor, Rosie growled, angered at seeing her friend here at the moment. It was because of him that her son was in his current condition, as a consequence of the deal they made together. As much as it would be uncharacteristic of her to do so, Rosie wanted to slap her friend and yell at him for making that deal with her son in the first place. Fortunately, her discipline and desire to remain her typical demeanor prevented her from doing so, though she will admit it required a great deal of effort to do so.
Taking a deep breath, Rosie looked at her friend with her typical smile, though it was more strained and forced than usual, something both men noticed. They also noticed the pain and sadness within her eyes. The two men were about to say something when Rosie spoke up, asking Alastor about the princess and how everyone else is faring. Upon hearing all that, Alastor raised an eyebrow before speaking.
"Well, the princess, according to my shadows, has arrived with two of your little employees." Said Alastor as he tapped on his mike, unsure of what to do with his friend. He didn't like seeing her in pain, especially when he was technically to blame for it. "And everyone else is being tended to. Is there anything else you would like to know, dear friend?"
"Yes, indeed." Said Rosie with a hint of anger. "If you come across a black spirit with no legs and has bladed greaves, please let me know. I would very much like to rip that monster to shreds and then use their remains as a warning to those that would dare to hurt those that I care about." Alastor again rose an eyebrow upon hearing that. He was about to ask why when he noticed Sahn-Ikal and realized why.
"I see." Said Alastor as he cupped his chin, infuriating Rosie with his nonchalant tone and attitude. Her son was injured, and he was being so casual about it. It was infuriating to the female Overlord. Although this was typical Alastor behavior, this time she couldn't deal with it. Not with her son in the state he was in. She was about to say something when Alastor spoke up.
"It will be quite difficult to find this thing, but what can I say." Said Alastor before his eyes became dials and radio noises came from him. "I always seek compensation for those that hurt my friends." Satisfied at hearing that, Rosie looked upon Mordekaiser and saw that he was done healing her son. Inspecting him, she was relieved to find that he was completely healed. No scars were remotely visible on his face. Let it not be said that Mordekaiser knew only to destroy things. She was about to give her thanks to Mordekaiser when the Iron Revenant spoke.
"With that done, I can begin the process of getting to the bottom of this conundrum that I find myself in." Said Mordekaiser, turning to the two Overlords. "First off, we must acquire more information on what had occurred in this hotel. We must figure out how someone managed to turn my guards against my will and attacked the hotel staff, not to mention the identity of the mastermind behind it all. And then there's the situation with Rosie's angel." Alastor raised an eyebrow at the mentioning of an angel, but choose to be quiet. It was Rosie that spoke.
"And how do you propose we do that?" Asked Rosie as she looked upon the Iron Revenant. "We have no people to interrogate after you killed all of your turned guards and we couldn't capture the monster that hurt my son. We have nothing to go on." Mordekaiser just chuckled at that, leaving the Overlords raising an eyebrow at that.
"That is where you are wrong, Rosie." Said Mordekaiser. "But before I tell you why, you must promise me to not kill them until I deem them worthless to me. Is that clear? After all, wouldn't you wish to get the masterminds behind your injured son? More than a pawn?" Rosie just nodded at that, seeing where Mordekaiser was getting at. "Good." Mordekaiser then pointed towards Sona, who was shaking in fear as the three powerful denizens of Hell looked at her.
"Her?" Asked Rosie, feeling rage build up inside her. "This…sexualized Sinner is responsible for my sons' injuries?"
"Perhaps she is." Clarified Mordekaiser. "Right now though, I only know that she was involved in the turning of my guards as well as trying to take control of me in order to have my kingdom declare war on Lucifer and his people." Both Overlords were intrigued to hear that. The innate selfish nature of demons, both Sinner and natural-born, came into action as they sensed an opportunity to further their own standing in Hell. Though for Rosie, she also felt the desire for vengeance as well as the desire to satiate her desire to vent her anger in a productive way. And what better way to do so than to hurt those that hurt her son in exchange for extracting some information from them. Contrary to popular belief, Rosie was more than willing to get her hands dirty if it was required. She would rather not do so, but if she got something out of it, she supposed she could dirty her hands for something. And on this occasion, she was more than willing to dirty them.
"And I suppose you need someone to interrogate the poor girl, yes? Someone besides Thresh?" Asked Alastor with a wicked smile, causing Sona to widen her eyes in fear. She heard of Alastor and she was frightened beyond belief at the thought of being tortured by him. She was about to speak when the ghostly claw holding her placed a finger over her mouth, preventing her from speaking.
"While torture is indeed something that Thresh excels at, I believe it will better serve me if I allow my allies to deal with this matter." Said Mordekaiser as he looked upon Rosie, eyes not giving away his true intentions. "One of whom would very much like to know that they have allies amongst them." Rosie, upon hearing that, softened her eyes at Mordekaiser. Before she could say anything, Crucian suddenly showed up from a massive hole in the nearby whole, looking a bit worse for wear.
"Lord Mordekaiser." Said Crucian upon seeing Mordekaiser, bowing down upon seeing his lord. "Forgive me, my lord, but…" Mordekaiser stopped the spymaster before he could say anything else.
"I already know everything, Crucian." Said Mordekaiser. "We'll discuss it better in detail later. For now, follow me. We have to inform the staff of this hotel that they should ignore some screaming that'll occur in the lower levels of this establishment."
"Oh, splendid idea!" Yelled Alastor with excitement. "The basement will be an excellent place to torture someone. Rosie, shall I make room for the torture while you think of ways to torture this woman for information!?" Rosie just looked at Sona, who looked back with pleading eyes. Begging her for mercy. Telling the Overlord with her ocean-like eyes that she'll tell them everything if they showed her mercy. An Angel or just a regular human being would have done so, but Rosie wasn't an Angel, nor was she a human being at all. She was a natural-born demon and she wasn't going to show mercy to this bitch that dared to hurt the man she loved and may have had a hand in hurting her child.
"Of course, Alastor dear." Said Rosie as she flashed a grotesque smile at Sona, making her whimper. "In fact, I already have a few things in mind."
"Splendid! Splendid! It's been too long since we last worked together for something like this." Yelled Alastor with genuine excitement. "Mordekaiser, if you may release her into our custody." Mordekaiser did just that and made the claw holding Sona in place disappear. Just before Sona hit the ground, several tentacles formed by Rosie grabbed and dragged her along the two Overlords as they made their way to the basement with Sona screaming all the way. Just before she left, Rosie asked Mordekaiser to take care of their son. Upon hearing that Mordekaiser looked upon the boy, unconscious but still alive, before telling her that he will until she returned. Once she and Alastor were gone, Mordekaiser grabbed his son and held him as he made his way to the lobby with Crucian in tow. In the meantime, the two neglected the Imp that had been injured as well from the fighting with the monster from before. The Imp groaned as he dragged himself to follow the two, having just woke up from the screaming that occurred.
Few minutes later
"This is all just horrifying." Said Charlie as Vaggie finished telling her everything that happened while she was gone. "What could have made those soldiers turn on us? It's not like Mordekaiser to do just that. It's not his style."
"You sure about that, honey?" Asked Vaggie with some skepticism. "Because it sure feels like something he would do. Make someone lower their guard before striking them down."
"Well, yeah Vaggie, but not like this." Said Charlie as she looked upon her surviving patrons and staff. "What does he gain from killing a bunch of low-rank sinners and demons? He only does things if it benefits him. And right now, I don't see how he can benefit from attacking a hotel that most of…Hell's leadership don't care about at all." Vaggie looked at Charlie with sympathy as she heard the disappointment and sadness coming from her girlfriend. She didn't show it to anyone but her, but she was saddened and hurt that her own parents didn't approve of her idea or even send much support for her idea beyond the building of the hotel and a limo. Though she was grateful for the support she's gotten so far from Rosie, Mordekaiser, and Alastor, Vaggie suspected that Charlie was secretly hurt that complete strangers and monsters, even her father's own rival, supported her more than her parents. And it was starting to show now with what went on right now.
Before Vaggie could say something to Charlie, Mordekaiser suddenly arrived in full view of everyone with Crucian. Some glared at him because of what happened early and others looked at him with fear as he made his way towards Charlie. Looking down upon the sad princess, Mordekaiser felt something close to pity before speaking.
"There should be some screaming coming soon from the basement." Said Mordekaiser as he held his son, causing both Vaggie and Charlie to look at him in shock. "We found an accomplice to the events that occurred today. One that came from your patrons, Miss Morningstar." Upon hearing that, Charlie looked at Mordekaiser in shock.
"W-what do you mean by that?" Asked Charlie, shocked that one of her patrons would do such a thing to everyone here when everyone was just trying to help them become a better person.
"It's the one called Sona." Said Mordekaiser simply, causing gasps of shock and disbelief to come from everyone that heard.
"Big tits helped this!?" Asked Angel Dust with a raised eyebrow. "Well ain't that a kicker in the nuts. Should have figured, honestly. Always got to watch out for those with big tits. They always got something hiding."
"Hear that." Said Husk with a bottle of booze. Charlie, unbelieving that such a sweet woman like Sona would do this, was about to speak to Mordekaiser when everyone heard some banshee-like screaming coming from the basement, despite the relative insulant wood used for the flooring of the hotel.
"Trust me, princess." Said Mordekaiser. "I would not condone the interrogation if I did not believe she was involved in what happened today. Even if she wasn't, she tried to kill me and put me under the thrall of someone to declare war on your father." Charlie, shocked to hear that, didn't know what to say as Mordekaiser looked at the small demonette. Before she could say anything, a portal opened up, and out came Karthus and Hecarim. Upon seeing his lord, Hecarim immediately spoke.
"My lord! There has been a development that requires your immediate response!" Yelled Hecarim, causing Mordekaiser to narrow his eyes. Another concern? Mordekaiser was starting to get annoyed with the number of things that needed to be done. And the lack of information wasn't helping him at all. Still, he ordered Hecarim to speak and when he did, Mordekaiser was instantly intrigued. Enough that he laid his son on the floor to give Hecarim his full attention, causing Crucian to guard the boy in his stead.
Okay so the next chapter will probably involve some…heinous torture, so I advise any Sona mains or fans to know about that if they're going to read the next chapter. But just in case, does anyone know the stance on this site regarding torture and how far it can go? Because I would like to know the limits before writing those scenes. I won't go over the top I think, but I like to know beforehand what I can and cannot write.
Also, before I end this chapter, I'm planning to write another LOL/Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss crossover, but this time in the League universe. Is anyone adverse to the idea of Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss characters going to the LOL universe and meeting an assortment of colorful characters?
